>>98916434Like a phoenix rising from the ashes, first the cancer ridden hulk of sanctioned competitive magic has to die in order to become reborn through the community, ergo proxy-friendly competitive environments with no more fomo buying and wotc stringing players along with pushed ub products that force competitive players (bulk of 60 card players) to keep buying slop to keep their decks relevant. We have to abandon sanctioned magic and play the game on our terms instead of theirs, because their only terms are to keep milking us any way possible. The game exists independently from the company so playing sanctioned only matters if you care about muh pro player status, in which case you're falling for the trap and should learn to just play for the love of the game.

The truth of the matter is, if you play eternal formats you will get eternally cockraped by wizards. The only solution is to play a 'frozen in time' format like Oldschool, Premodern, or 2015 Modern.
