It is more structured than your average rpg. Part of the game includes clues being placed randomly on a map.
It feels somewhere between a boardgame and an rpg.

Of course I have only read the rulebook.
Note custom character creation rules only appear in the expansion.

Just know that its more of a board game with roleplay elements than an rpg. Also the combat feels a bit "off" since you can kinda cheese it
