I've been running a table with a few buddies for almost a year but I feel I'm stuck and I have no ideas on where or how to move the plot forward.
It's sort of a sandbox game where they travel around The Empire of Men doing whatever they want and they find adventures along the way, we've had plenty of short adventures and a few long ones but now I don't know where to go.

Sure, we have a few open story hooks (group and personal) they've encountered during their journey and they tend to sort of follow them but not enough to go and actually put the effort to evolve themselves in that plot and I really don't wanna force them to "go and do THIS because I SAID SO" and railroad them to it.

I'm thinking on pushing the reset button on everything and start something new, maybe retire their current characters and sbut I don't feel right fucking with their progress specially for the new guy who just joined a couple of weeks ago but at the same time I'm kinda stuck with this current party and ofc I don't wanna just tell them to fuck off, the players are not the problem, it's me.
I already had a short two week hiatus to come up with stuff but I'm just not feeling it nor coming with anything.

The well's run dry, for now at least. Ask your players if they want a wrap-up adventure to end that campaign before you all move on to something else, or if they just prefer to hit the pause button and go on an "until further notice" hiatus from that campaign.

You missed the opportunity to start with this earlier but it'll still work out.
>over the next 2-3 adventures include rumours and rivals from larger scale threat to the Empire of Men
>they're looking for parts of a mcguffin that will make their patron win at large catastrophic event
Could be anything that you like the feel of, pick something you're stoked about so you want to create.
>mongol hordes at the borders
>evil cult infiltrated the nobility and or church
>dead lichking rising in the barrowlands
>mad wizard is drawing the moon closer to the planet and its causing wild mutations and chaos
something that's a growing threat the players can investigate or not but is clearly there doing things in the world.
At that point if they ignore it have the other group's plans come to fruition and the players have to figure out what to do about it. Sandbox doesn't mean no plots, it just means the players can pursue their interests. You should get to as well.

I don't understand the problem. What's wrong with what you're doing?

Have them get chances to move into leadership positions, at which point you move towards domain play and have a new set of characters move in to do the low level shit while also doing higher level shit of 'Take your army off to war' type things.

Make sure to keep consequences in mind for things they do, friendly nobles will help, antagonistic ones will try to fuck them, ect.

Huh? You just ask the players what decisions they make, and the adjudicate. What do you mean "where to go"? That's not something the referee decides.

A sandbox game only works when your player characters have their own goals, are motivated to achieve those goals, and pursue those goals relentlessly. If they have no personal goals, and instead they're choosing goals based on whatever happens to be in front of them, you're setting up for a shitty time.
