Something you're not sure how to run, or how to express as a player.
I never know how to do good gothic babble bullshit

What did you do last session, anons? Not much happened in mine game, we're still going after a Heretek Magos who's trying to reverse engineer a halo device.Oh we did find out our Inquisitor's real name, and that he's related to the Haarlock family.
Has Simon Furman worked on 40k? I know he's worked at a lot of the same places as Abnett and other BL writers. He'd be a good fit if they ever did more stuff aimed at younger readers. He's basically made a career out of introducing kids to genuinely horrific war stories.
I need a mask for a noble born (assassin) character to wear while delving into the underhive, lest the poors start spreading rumors, but the classic skull and tactical gimp hood both feel a little played out. You guys got ant recommendations?
>>98919330Identifiable mask or "keeping my identity a secret" mask?
>>98919351Identifiable
>>98919441Something animal-themed? Cat? Eagle?
>>98919441One of those masquerade masks (not clown eldar)
>>98918673Not even him but this is the most creatively sterile kind of thinking imaginable. "Why make anything new when the setting already gives you all these toys" is fine way of seeing it, but "The setting is the pinnacle and fits every niche so creating your own things is outright egoist" is retarded.
>>98919258My player's unit of feudal world knights did a remixed and redesigned version of Eleventh Hour for Only War, specifically taking the broad beats but switching most of the rest to fit their unit and the world.>Krieger artillery bombardment instead of orbital barrage>Using a chimera and mounted transport instead of hoofing it on foot. >Still battling orks. They had a great time despite statistically bad distribution of rolls
>>98919459Don't feed the trolls.
>>98919441Mask of either current ruler of the hive or one recent enough to still feel recognisable.
>>98919330What's his purpose in doing so? What does he aim to achieve, what drove him to do this?
>>98918722One thing I've always had some issue with is the fact that since the players are often on the cutting edge and facing off against entirely new things, Lores tend to be a bit useless. The players could be fighting some alien monster, for instance, and they'll try say, Forbidden Lore Xenos, only to learn nothing even on a success. There's nothing to know. They are literally making first contact. It will be their experiences that define the Forbidden Lore result for future encounters and teams. But that doesn't really affect the immediate issue. Everyone seems to deflate, and start "random bullshit go" brute force because there's no tried and true weakness to exploit. Same with unexplored planets, Lore tells nothing about the planet because they are literally the first to ever step foot on it, so everyone just kind of deflates because they don't feel like they can do any sort of meaningful preparation (outside obvious stuff like preparing for extreme environments) and whatever happens, happens.>>98919258Last time on Project ND,>The team barely survives an Old Slann defense fleet>The team almost completely fucks up a Bounty Hunt>The wych reveals she has Silent Move to the delight of all, meaning they can actually sneak around now
