Nilhoon is mentally enslaving a population of mermaids, nereids, and other water creatures to search the place, Akhmun is commanding his undead to do the same, and Stone is locked inside the demiplane trying to work out a way to snatch the artifact without finding the key, because it might be buried under too much debris. Think of it as a healer of internal fluids, mist, and vitality rather than open oceans (Mercphobia, the canon Water Dragon, is the yang to this Life-Water Dragon's ying.) It gets corrupted into vampirism. The cause might be tinkering with devil magic, or maybe its biology was corrupted by being forced to eat flesh and blood, corrupting its soul into becoming the first vampire, idk. Since there are no vampires canonically in Fairy Tail, the source of vampirism may as well have come from that dragon. It became a vampire Blood Dragon whose power inverts from giving life to draining it. It eventually died, and its heart was refined into a Lacrima that still houses its malevolent, sleeping soul, which is unheard of for Dragon Lacrimas. Typically, all you get is the dragon's heart within the Lacrima, granting the user Dragon Slayer Magic but not its soul. The crown prince plans on implanting it in himself, since doing so would make him a vampire and thus grant him immortality, but he was advised against it because of the malevolent soul residing within it. He gave it to Belladonna instead who's desperate for power. She implants it in her body and becomes a Second Generation Dragon Slayer with vampiric dragon traits: fangs, blood-hunger, blood draining, blood manipulation (all kinds of blood magic), blood red-tinged scales, mist form and sun sensitivity. This is the final Lacrima she'd infuse upon herself.

She undergoes irreversible vampiric dragonization with no fixed timetable, her ego eroding under the dragon body and bloodthirst until she fully becomes a blood dragon, at which point the soul seizes the vessel for itself, turning her into its permanent vampiric dragon host.So the Megalo Fin party, of course, will get to fight Belladonna in their journeys. She gets more powerful with each battle because of the dragonization, but each fight they see her gradually becoming more bloodthirsty and changing into something more monstrous.There's also the combination of the explosive Lacrima, Clone Magic, and Blood Magic. Her clones explode in blood, and she uses that blood explosion to turn it into icicle shards. Also, the more clones that are killed, the more blood pours into the battlefield. As time goes on and more clones are killed, Belladonna could conjure up a blood tsunami like its Hellsing. Imagine how much blood is poured if that Belladonna was a dragon.Turning her into a vampire also fits the Mina Ha faceclaim, which is cool.

When you combine these two, it doesn't really fit her usual M.O. of chasing her target to the ends of the earth, or her motivation of becoming a publicly acclaimed figure.On the other hand, perhaps it can be good because it doesn't fit? She's willingly embracing a power that doesn't suit her simply because it's the only way she can get power. A woman who only wanted recognition becoming a creature that can properly go out under the sun. Yes, there's a bit of irony at play which I like. It also makes her a good foil for Laurie and her current storyline, since her mom is also irreversibly becoming something else.Alright, I think it is pretty cool after all. If you're going forward with this, I'll include it in my writing too.

But I was leaning more on dragons and vampires being depicted as a more predatory archetype, a pursuer like Belladonna, so I guess that aside from wanting to kill Megalo Fin, she'd also want to hoard them into a cell, turning them into thralls, like a dragon would with its gold. But really, my plan was to show her body gradually disfiguring, becoming more grotesque as the dragonization takes hold, while augmentation psychosis sets in from the dragonization and the earlier Lacrimas infused in her, turning her more and more into a monster as her drive and obsession consume her. And I wanted an evil themed element for her Dragon Slayer Magic, so blood it is.

Once the dragonization is complete, the Dragon Seed has already completed its mission, and the body structure has permanently changed. Removing the Lacrima at this point would only strip away the magic power, but cannot undo the already completed physical transformation. To add, it's actually not stated in canon whether Dragon Seeds can be planted inside a person only with a Dragon Lacrima. It's only stated that overuse of Dragon Slayer Magic causes the seed to be planted and grow. We aren't seeing signs of dragonization from Laxus, who's also a second gen, either the author forgot to make him undergo dragonization (or maybe he just used Dragon Slayer Magic sparingly), or the author forgot to explain that second gens can't have a Dragon Seed because they're not real Dragon Slayers, since they only use Dragon Lacrima.
