Got the new launcher set with Croc Bite, and I love the shade of green on the string launcher(pity the grip doesn't coordinate too well with it). Wish I could find Draciel S, because it would look so good with it.
>>11759697I can only speak from personal experience but I remember seeing a lot of those at my Target. In general, if you can't find something Hasbro's released at your walmarts that's the easiest next bet. and of course beysandbricks if you're willing to pay a bit more for an imported TT one
Is it me or is the game kind of dead now?
>>11760485Just a little stagnant right now. The last good releases that actually changed things were Shark Scale last August, and I guess Clock Mirage in October. Everything else has either been a flop, or not good enough to compete with the top 5. There's not enough life being breathed into the game when the state of things is "Pick Wizard Rod, Shark Scale, and your favorite third filler Bey"People are hyping Dran Strike to the moon, so maybe that'll be something. Surely a 42 gram blade will be good.
>>11760540If it's very good then it will probably make the meta even worse with now you at least get variety in the third slot. It might end up as every deck being Dran Strike with Shark Scale and Wizard Rod from then on.
Found out about the Beyblade channel hosted by the streaming service Plex so I've been watching the OG series for the first time since middle school. Seeing everything again feels like the equivalent of saying someone misses the 4Kids dub of One Piece. It's almost as bad as the Metal Saga dub in terms of everything and in some cases worse. As a youth the OG series was everything to me, but I wouldn't mind it getting a rebudding like Sailor Moon did to be more accurate to the original show and cut out the bullshit they added like the faceless commentators and Dizzi (which thankfully G Revolution actually removed one of the two). The Beyblade designs are launchers are still sick though. Some of the best in the series to this day.
>>11760540Speaking of shark scale, wtf is going on with the hasbro release? Is it really getting scalped that hard or did they only make like 20?
>>11760795When they first went up on Amazon last month, there were people in Ireland who saw them in stores, but I don't think anywhere else has seen one in person yet. My local stores have gotten the Croc Crunch + Launcher Grip, the Ghost Circle/Viking pack, and the Samurai Calibur pack, but nothing else from this wave. I think it's just Hasbro doing what they've done since this gen started.
>>11760540Dran strike is heavy but the shape will likely make it recoily and be inconsistent at attacking. Plus the IWD of the metal gear chip will make it have worse stamina compared to other top tier attack blades.
>>11760744unicorn guy himself is meh, don't fuck with any of these recolors (except the eye-searing hells hammer for some reason) but I wonder if they'll come with any interesting parts.>3-60eh>GUGear Unite? sounds dead on arrival
>>11760744purely parts wise this definitely sucks massive ass but I fuck with the pink tyranno and it's nice that we're finally getting first reprints for some under utilized parts like GR, 7-80, and saber
>>11760540Honestly, I've been sticking to what works with the stuff I have though honestly, I've gotten used to the talk that I usually ignored the meta and stuck to organizing events along with experimenting with combos.
>>11761116>saberthis is saber's 3rd color and another just got announced
>>11760744Prize Unicorn Delta looks like it's paying homage to Blitz Unicorno from MFB(I think I can also see a hexagon in the sticker, too). Hasbro's Samurai Steel finally has Saber version. I am disappointed in the green Garuda, as I would've preferred a blue one, instead. Though, imagine if somebody decided to paint the metal black.
Can someone test something for me? I saw a video online of the Vertical assist-blade fitting INTO the Flare main-blade. If someone has both Phoenix Flare and the new Knight Fortress, could you test this for me? I want to see what it looks like from the top and side, and if it's even possible or some sort of trick.
>>11759569why is the new opening full of nine's feet? are they trying to give everyone a boner? unless they are based and are trying to say this season is all about nine's stinky feet as apology for kyubi's faggotry
https://youtube.com/watch?v=kngEdwjV12E
>>11763059>Gear Unite: I'm going to the Xtreme Zone and there's nothing you can do to stop me.
>>11763059even outside of metafagging there's like nothing here except maybe saber/LO and the pink tyranno
>>11763147The pink/white 3-60 is the only appealing part for me.
>>11760632Based.There's also plenty of censorship especially in G Rev, but even the OG and V-Force have that.Beyblade doesn't often have hand to hand fights, but when they happen between characters it's refreshing to see. Well in the english version you won't get to see most physical contact. Also the most lack of BGMs and too much relying on the Insert Songs they made is really jarring now. Even though said songs aren't bad at all, but they're overused because as I said, lack of actual BGMs.
I've been going to every tournament I'm able to for almost two years now and I think the burnout is finally setting in. I feel myself getting worse lately and losses are harder to get over. Probably need to take a break.
>>11765224You tried getting good?
>>11763163I like the look of the green 7 and black 1 for ratchet swaps, and the blue/yellow 3-60 could be fun to throw on some builds. Also nice to have a non-yellow option for Low Orb
Tyranno Beat 1-70 Jthought about this at work today but I've been too busy to test. anyone ever tried it? Love the new pink blade and the colors would fit perfectly with the red and purple on the gear bit
>>11763059Gear Unite looks surprisingly decent for a Gear bit.
>half an hour in car from the closest tournament>the next one is in walking distance from the first one>a third one is one hour in the opposite direction>a fourth one is in the same direction as the other two, two hours distance this time>surprising amount of girls in all of them>they aren't ugly or excessively fat>dad, and myself, have been pestering me to find a girlfriend>he gets sick so I can't leave his side and go to any of these tournamentsbrehs.....
>>1176634530 minutes by car isn't even notably far away you lazy faggot
>>11766394That's not even the problem. I can't go away too far away from him because he's old and needs me to be close by.
>>11766426Couldn't you just bring him? Like, it could help you out if a girl has some pity or finds you cute for caring for your dad lol. It would be really weird having an almost dead old man in the corner tho.
>>11766426If he's sick enough that he needs 100% constant supervision, there's probably some kind of state aid program you could apply for to get some kind of part time home care depending on where you are.
>Cobalt Dragoon resurgence Was the new Elevate mold from blue Shark really that much of a buff?
>>11767292It never went anywhere in my area, but I guess yeah
>>11767292>new Elevate mold from blue Sharkthe fuck? What's new about it?
>>11767568The shaft is slightly thicker than all the previous releases, so the ratchet holds it tighter. It's been noted to be slightly less burst-prone than they are, making the new one the "optimal" one.
>>11767587god damn itI finally get an elevate but it's the BAD elevate
>>11767587If only Takara Tomy/Hasbro would do this to bits that actually need it, like every defense bit in the game.
>>11768588I want defense to work and all but I know whatever good thing is done for the type will go to make Rod even more unbearable.
>>11768588>>11768704Until they get brave enough to start giving Defense/Stamina bits burst resistance, I doubt anything will change. There's a reason Hexa and Free Ball are the only ones that get used now, they're the only ones that can get hit and not explode immediately.Wedge should've had the resist band.
>>11763392I noticed that in rewatching G Revolution all the blatant splicing. Without the OG series I wouldn't have gotten into Beyblade, but watching it again is painful. Burst in english censored things too, but at least enough of it remained intact.
>>11768737Why are his eyebrows on fireThis looks silly
>>11768733And Hexa isn't even a defense bit.
I have an idea for an assist blade. It's a free-spinning assist blade, like F, but the blade is wide with two or three free-spinning walls that hang over the ratchet, in order to protect it from bursting. I call it "Low".
>>11768733>Wedge should've had the resist band.Idk, I put it on tyrannosaurus roar 9-65 and it's an insanely solid defense build, it burst maybe once in my testing.>>11768915>the blade is wide with two or three free-spinning walls that hang over the ratchet, in order to protect it from bursting.Good concept, but I worry it would kill stamina from scraping the stadium the moment it gets hit hard. Maybe if the walls had metal to lower the center of mass?
>>11769031That would just make it outclass Heavy and Wheel, which is not what I'm going for.
>>11759697https://www.gamesmen.com.au/beyblade-x-x-over-project-starter-pack-draciel-shield-7-60d
>>11768733The teal wedge has better burst resistance than freeball
So there been dozens of reports already from jp of griffon breaking within hours of getting it.
>>11772552it's destroying bits too supposedly via stress at the connection point
https://x.com/RENLIgames/status/2049036005152604648I'll never understand why Japan rates Meteor Dragoon so highly. Its performance is nowhere near as good as everything else in that tier.
>>11772779>another 3-85Does Hasbro not understand that people would be more willing to buy their retools if they came with good parts? This is a 0/3 release.
>>11772893>Does Hasbro not understandNo, they do not. They are actively refusing to understand who is actually buying this shit and attempt to cater to them.
I want Twisted Tempo in this gen.
>>11773932Wait a minute it does exist. Holy fuck
>>11773932>>11773939It simultaneously sucks ass and is the best stamina blade in the game.
>>11773983What if you switch out the ratchet?
>>11773985
>>11773985Your options are 4-55 and 7-55.
>hate the new beyblade designs so I've completely ignored beyblades for years>randomly discover that they reissued the GOOD era beys while shoppingit was a good day
>>11774200Have you considered looking into the CX expand line? Bahamut Blitz, being a Burst reference, has a lot of design elements more reminiscent of the Bakuten Shoot era.
>>11775570That definitely looks a lot better than most of the shit I usually see, it's still a bit too gaudy but I like it. In-fact if I saw that in a shop I'd probably buy it.Another thing I hated was the simplification of the bitbeast designs.
>>11774200>>11775572>Likes plastic gen beys>Doesn't like gaudy designsSorry man but you're going to have to give some examples because this feels like bait.
i need some helpi know absolutely zero about beyblade except that its like a dueling top game. my nephew is apparently interested in them and wants some for his Bday, he's still pretty young so i dont think he needs anything specific, hardcore or collector, he probably just saw an ad or a cartoon and got excited about themso is there a good starter pack thats like 2 tops (blades?) with their launchers and a little arena all in one box? or is it better to get the tops separately and the box by itself?i saw a square arena that folds into a travel case, and an oval plastic arena that looked less portable, what do you guys like? i've never used one of these things
>>11777493the folding arena doesn't come with any beyblades iirc, but the others do. I could rant about how the arena and the launchers aren't really fit for competitive use, but if it's a birthday present for a child that won't take it that seriously, it's more than good enough. This one in particular is $30 on amazon at the moment so I'd probably recommend it. If the kid does take it more seriously and wants to upgrade his gear etc. then nothing else, it comes with two really solid beyblades.
>>11777493All the hasbro stadiums suck and aren't tournament spec if he ever wants to try attending those, doesn't mean he can't play with them at home obviously but just something worth noting. The drop attack set shown here >>11777510 is probably the best option to just get him up and running, since it comes with everything you technically need to play, and some of the stuff it comes with is even decent-to-great parts-wise in case he ever ends up caring enough to collect seriously and wants to compete. If you wanted to add on a few more beys to give him some options, the phoenix wing and cobalt dragoon starters from hasbro are both good options that are pretty readily available, both blades are good and they both come with a string launcher (and it's the only way to get a left-spin launcher from hasbro currently in that dragoon pack).
>>11777524>>11777510okay thanks, he's only in lower grade school right now so he's not old enough that tournament specs are a concern. i'll see if i can fin that box an get some addons since $30 for a starter stadium pack is pretty cheap. appreciate the help
>>11777530Just be sure he knows to be careful with these fuckers and doesn't lean over the stadium or try to reach in and grab them while they're still spinning. Hover Wyvern in that drop attack set is probably the literal most dangerous blade in the game for injuring players, cause it's shaped like a metal pringle
>Beyblade now have scalpers problemI fucking hate this>https://x.com/pokemon_viet/status/2050892077421261226
>>11777530>>11777524I'd actually skip on the Phoenix Wing set and spring for the deluxe set with Croc Bite instead, as that one comes with a grip. You could then get the blue Phoenix Wing booster as a substitute.
>>11778977I'd only recommend this if you think the kid will really like the colors of it or want the grip personally, not everyone uses them and the bey that comes in the bite croc set is pretty dogshit compared to phoenix.Red phoenix starter is also generally easier to find than either the croc set or the blue phoenix booster at the moment, at least in my area.
