The DX Kairos reissue is out this weekend, has a nice Delta 10th Anniversary sleeve.
these were supposed to get announced next week with the next SRW live stream but bbts seems to have accidentally leaked it. sentinel is making a huckebein mk3, the boxer frame, and the am gunner
Got My striker eurkea
>>11761860I don't even want to guess the price, it will be something retarded like 60k yen for the boxer
Dead toyline.
>>11761798that sleeve looks like shit
>>11761789>still no ROBOT魂 TV Evas
>>11761798>12 years since Macross 30>still no yf-30 renewalBandai please, my pockets are loaded
>>11761789I wish we had gotten these back in the day.
>>11761989Not quite but pretty much there sadly. Some point it's going to have to become the MRD or Metal Build general.
>>11762207I fully expect Robot Spirits to be cancelled and turned into something else. Just like what happened with MSIA.
>>11762244After they release the Zeta figure, I could imagine they might do a ZZ and then stop. They defintely aren't going to do CCA in the ANIME line as that's the money maker where Bandai can charge higher prices with all the Metal figures or higher end collectables.
>used to make fun of boxfags>now have four massive unopened robot figure boxes stacked in my roomIt is so very over for me. How do you deal with this ? And how do you deal with lack of space/storage ?>>11762011The lack of TV 02 figures makes me depressed
>>11762337>It is so very over for me. How do you deal with this ? And how do you deal with lack of space/storage ?protip: you dontyou will eventually fill a closet with boxes or end up selling your shit
>>11762446Closet status: filled, though with boxes of robots on display. Selling shit status: already sold a couple and trying to sell more. Yeah it's game over for me
>>11762011No company had given a fuck about the TV version of Evas since 2007. They're never coming back.
>>11763159welcome to the true end game bro: deciding which of your robots are worth keeping
>>11763170blokees just put some out and threezero is next, trust the plan bro
>>11762337threezero is making one for their Robo-Dou line
>>11763429How the fuck would the arms move?
>>11762337Unless you think you'll sell it, put the accessories in little labeled bags and just wrap the figures in bubble wrap/packing peanuts and move on. Most import packaging looks shitty and is more flimsy than what Hasbro puts out. I'm guilty of keeping a lof of packaging myself, but when I went through a move I chucked out a lot of it and regret nothing.
>>11761989It's a shame given how enthusiastic people were about the ANIME stuff in particular. Bandai did it to themselves, though, by milking things with obscure suits and repaints for an interminable length of time while insisting on moving through UC in chronological order.I'm not saying we needed the Zeta in 2017 exactly, but whatever the right balance was I don't think they accomplished it.
>>11763892as much as I like getting all the oddball suits it was probably a mistake on their part to try to complete the roster for any show other than 0079
Is this just not going up on P-Bandai or Amazon? Its been about a month since it was announced and I was waiting for the preorder.
>>11763965amazon seems to throw things up whenever they feel like but it already went up on BBTS and EE
>>11763892Going through chronological order wasn't so bad at first. Because it went from 0079, to 0080, to 0083. But then they started SEED as the first AU Ver ANIME, which was fine. I love all of the Cosmic Era mechanics. But right in the middle of that, they jumped to Zeta, and then stopped Seed, when they were close to finishing it. They only needed 6 more Gundams, and maybe to mass production units, the Strike Dagger and Guaiz. I don't think picking the Galbaldy over say, Freedom, Justice, or Providence was a good idea. Now the series has come to a screeching halt, with more Webshooters exclusives than retail releases. I don't see anything that says this toyline is ready to keep going.
>>11763929I think there was room for C-list designs, but I really don't see why we needed to get every grunt variant before moving on to the A-list Zeta designs, or even a few designs from SEED or G Gundam or anything else. I don't think it's obvious that we needed even all the GP Gundams before the Mk. II and Zeta, for example. Maybe I'm in the minority, but they could've staggered all this stuff without exhausting one direction or the other. But maybe this was inevitable regardless, who knows. Only Bandai knows exactly how their margins look.
>>11764026>>11764050The issue plaguing the Ver ANIME line is they're taking a chronological completionist approach. Which is totally dumb because it only works for 0079. The other series don't have the same level of prestige or nostalgia. For Zeta onwards they should've focused on popular MS. Instead of doing the whole Zeta line they should've done the main grunts like the Rick Dias, Hizack, Marasai, GMIIs and Nemos alongside the Gundams and enemy ace suits like Quebeley, The O and Asshimar. then moved on the ZZ and CCA using the same approach.Later down the line they could return to these series to release the more obscure MS from their shows as limited releases. The messala is a cool design, but it really isn't a smart decision to release one before the Zeta even gets a figure.
>>11764052I've just realised we got the Asshimar before the Marasai or Nemo. We also got the Slaughter Dagger before Strike Dagger. Why do Bandai release things in such a backwards order.
>>11763882Are you familiar with threezero's Robo-Dou line? It's obviously an early wip sculpt.
>>11764516I wouldn't have asked if I was dummy.
>>11764782I dummy plugged your mom.
>>11761924How is it?
>>11766685terrible
>>11766745That’s unfortunate. I liked their Gypsy danger.
>>11766685decentas with the previous releases there is no diecast, it is all plastic and the texture feels a bit... gummy I guess? However, the sculpt is fantastic and so is the paintjob with a dull gray, which looks more like it appeared in the film. Their previous releases of Gipsy and Typhoon have a paintjob way too brilliant and shiny, as if they just came out of the assembly line instead of the worn look this Eureka hasExtras, comes with what you expect: a pair of fists (very good paintjob here to emulate the brass knuckles), the effect part of the chest to replicate its missile launcher finisher (all the missiles and their launching fire effect are individual parts and can be mixed and match as you desire) and a whole fuckton of button batteries to install so you can light up the head visor, the clear red parts in the chest and the nuke box in the back with the magnet that is also includedthis is a bit weird for me, as I'm sure you are not supposed to be able to ship stuff with batteries inside, hell, one of the sellers in Aliexpress from which I got one of the moshow robots explicitly stated this to me so whateverit also sports the retractable twin stinger blades in both arms, which look very cool. The only issue I can point out is the elbow articulation, as sadly it is only a single joint, so they can't go beyond a 90° angleI would only recommend these robots to fans of the pacific rim movie, we are only missing cherno alpha now and I'm sure they showed a prototype a year ago or so
>>11761989That's a pity. I was really looking forward to guys like the Nemo and GM III
>https://hacchaka.net/archives/52131955.htmlsome photos with the cloak looks okaybut this one looks stupid
Chink black knight. Pretty cool but has a number of problems>c-clips fest>feet lacking in articulation making ground poses a pain in the ass>purple details not popping out enough>needlessly HUEG baseThe articulation can get pretty limited depending on how much accessories you want to slap on it but that's to be expected with busy chink designs. The shoulder attachements can be removed but then you have a peg sticking out of the shoulder armor. There's a couple working pistons, I love that on figures. The hands feel kinda shitty, especially the ones that are meant for the big ass sword, so soft that I can easily bend them without needing to heat them up beforehand. It's no wonder now why it was so cheap compared to other similar chink big robot figures. The box is also massive but instead of everything being in plastic blisters it's in a nice smelling foam
>>11769332I dislike fabric combined with plastic. It never looks good.
>>11770485It can look good if it's a small part like a scarf, or a thin coat that doesn't cover the entire figure, hemoxian nobody model kit is a good exemple. In that figure's case it looks fucking retarded. Gundam figures especially will never look good with a hood because of the v-fin. The rag covering the entire robots will only ever look good in 2D
>>11769825>c-clips festI was tempted but fuck that. I hate c clips anything. The fucking moshow uses that for wrists like a retard, why the fuck are c clips so popular?
>>11770546I'm guessing because it's cheaper. CCS toys eva final model has great wrists and hands, easy to swap and holds really well, with good articulation on top without the use of c-clips. I wish that was the standard
Do you guys know if its safe to use stuff like kiki joint fix on DX chogokin macross stuff? The shoulders on my VF-25 are pretty lose. Already tried tightening the screw, but I don't want to break it. I'm wary because the arm joint connecting to the shoulder is not plastic right? Don't want it to melt or whatever.
>>11770705That shit is just varnish, it will work fine but if it’s a metal on metal joint it will wear off pretty quickly as you pose it
>>11770485It's because the type of fabric needed for the scale is never considered. You'd want a much more flowing microfiber material for something that would be on a something to the scale of a Gundam.Though it would still look a bit shit, but better than this bulky towel. Then again I don't understand the obsession with putting hoods and giant capes on any Gundam, always look stupid.
>>11770727>always look stupid. The only time it's ever worked was for Exia repair because it was more like tarpaulin than fabric, all the kits/figures use plastic for it so it never looks bad. That Wing looks like someone just dropped a duster on it.
didn't get an answer I was looking for in /m/ so I'm gonna ask it here. Not sure how you guys feel about bootlegs though. Do you panel line-water deacl-topcoat your Gundam MRDs? I just finished building the Angry Shinn/Bird Impulse and it comes with free waterslides. Do the OGs come out of box already with the decals on? This is my first MRD looking figure and I only had previous experience with Gunpla
>>11770733I'm asking how does it look? Do you think it will ruin the OG MRD looking matte finish it has now? Will the panel lines make it look worse in your opinion?
>>11770733Treat it like any other model kit and do as you like. The og MRD isn't panel lined out of the box, as for the decals you can always slap another coat of matte once you're done applying them. Check out a review video or pictures of the MRD, compare with your kit and decide whether to apply decals or not. How was the building experience ? Had my eyes on that new brand for a bit
>>11770750Pretty good actually, most of the parts are undergated so you don't have to put much effort into cleaning up nubs. I say the most obvious and will really need cleaning are the backpack parts. Also the joints are a little tight, some too tight to my liking that it may break when I try to move it a bit hastily. Thank you for the insight. Yeah I was just having second thoughts on the panel lining since the OGs I see don't really have those, so I'm guessing the decals are installed out of the box too.
>>11770733MRDs already come with the decals on, they’re preassembled/prepainted.
>>11770728>Exia repairThat's basically the best of them all. It's essentially used as you would use a big sheet, to cover up something mid-repair or for storage. It's use outside of those situations is stupid however.
>>11761860>>11761927like 90k yen for the whole set: Mk III, Boxer and Gunner:https://www.amiami.com/eng/detail/?gcode=FIGURE-201586https://www.amiami.com/eng/detail/?gcode=FIGURE-201587https://www.amiami.com/eng/detail/?gcode=FIGURE-201588
>>11770923At least there’s no sentinel store exclusive parts this time. I was dreading having to pay their crazy shipping prices 3 times.
>>11770733so apparently I was mistaken for the "OG MRD looking matte finish" because the MRDs are glossy looking. This appears to be a mix between the RD and the MRD having metal body frame and matte looking body parts, guess I was worried for nothing. Will still do matte though
>>11770485>>11770727The one they added to the Barbatos appears to be in scale.
>>11770923I'd be all over these if they didn't use die-cast.
At this rate, which Robot Damashii is more likely? Dynamic Classics Cutie Honey or Jenny Wakeman?
Stupid Over the top giga canon, but the Hi Nu with non-symmetrical Fin funnels is really sexy and I would want it just for that. Never going to happen, but whatever.
>>11774281did they fix the hi nu? the original release was known for being a QC and floppy mess
>>11774520I haven't seen anyone complain about this one, so I guess they've revised, improved, and recolored it, but costs more and is super exclusive. Compared to the previous one, this one has the correctly colored shield and the included stand for the fin funnels, even in the suspended "attack" version... all things the previous version didn't have.
Got these from EB games for pretty cheap. Thinking of ordering some more online, any suggestions? Any must haves? Currently looking at the GM Sniper II
>>11774745>all things the previous version didn't have.inexcusable they made such a shitty release first and then "fix it" making it too overpriced and so limited
>>11775026Original GM for sure, and Zaku II
after postponing if for so long I managed to snatch a metal buil X1 Full Cloth in buyee for 200 bucks thanks to some couponsam I crazy for getting it despite owning the previous X1, X2 and X3?
>>11776020I take you are a crossbone fan otherwise I see no reason why you would do thatif anything the crossbones are among the best bang for your buck options due to all the extras they pack compared to other releasesI wonder if they will dare to make a MB of the Phantom Gundam, I mean, it shares like 70% or so of the normal crossbone and they even went as far as making the X-0...also, the MA transformation is way easier compared to the zeta abomination they dared to pull off and all the flaming effect parts would make it look awesome
>>11785376wtf is this
>>11785493Great Zeong.
>>11785376Sometimes I feel like they intentionally pick the most obscure shit that will never get kits just to one-up the model divisions.
>>11785376Great, more 500 dollar slop.
>>11784866Knowing threezero you probably can't remove the additional weapons but I'm kind of regretting getting the regular scopedog now.
>>11785742Definitely felt that when they made the Ge'Drei, but it was fucking awesome for Kondo fans like me
