Can somebody give me the rundown on this company? I know nothing about them but I constantly see their stuff significantly discounted basically everywhere. Do they even have fans? How do they stay afloat?
>>11770030I like their O-ring GI Joe stuff. It's fun, and a reminder why the cartoon was so soccessful. Some of their other O-ring lines like the monsters were OK too.
Their thundertank looks awesome, and like what should have been released in 1985. It's a bit pricey though. I really like the way they do their figures, though
>>11770030It's a large scale international money laundering scheme
>>11770030Mostly through their reactions and TMNT offerings. Their TMNT stuff is actually really cool, they were basically doing improved versions of the original playmates designs. It was a lot more appealing to me than other company’s offerings. Unfortunately, it seems they can’t do that anymore.
i don't know. my local toy store is filled with heavily discounted stuff from them for years on end and on BBTS, half their stuff is on discount all the time. maybe they make enough off the initial sales to keep their doors open. it is strange.
People seem to like the Reactions/Kenner stuff they find, like the music stuff. Just not for $25. Other stuff like Parks & Rec and the Office, I don't get, personally. Ut I think some of the companies mentality is/was COVID shaped and they haven't shaken it off.
>>11770030I like their Reaction line. The problem is, they are much too overpriced for what you get. I can't imagine where the production cost goes too. It can't go into licensing, and there are very little parts to the figures themselves. If they were $5 or $7 figures, I'd get a lot more. But $15 to $20? Come on now. Still like them and buy them on rare occasions, especially when they are on sale.
>>11770151>>11770187The price is what makes me pass on some of them. I think I got Eddie from Iron Maiden for $1 because Target couldn't price check him. And then the little Chucky Good Guy one I got too was $20. I couldn't find the price anywhere in their section of pop culture clutter until check out. I try to stay around $10-$15
>>11770187I bought the Iron Giants but mostly I put them on my /co Secret Santa lists for a few years (since most people think "$20 is cheap for a gift") and got the two on the right side that way. I only had to buy the one with Hogarth, which I at least got at retail and free shipped. Otherwise, yeah, if I was going to buy something Super 7, it's not worth paying more than $4-6 to $7-10, depending on what it is. $4.99 at Ross is definitely the sweet spot, but I've yet to see anything I even 'might' want there.
>>11770030Have they officially said if they're done with Power Rangers or not? I know the Madam Woe and Tigerzord Ultimates didn't get funded, but overall the line seemed to be going well enough. Bulk and Skull were successfully funded, but then no more Ultimates were advertised. Then they advertised Lord Drakkon and Shellshock ReActions, which just... never happened, for some reason.
>>11770214>I boughtHAVEI also bought the larger (7"), Ultimate TIG but only after it dropped down to half price on Amazon. The Diamond Select one was the same price and twice as big.
Here is Super7's Competitor, Plastic Meatball. Here is their newest wave of Labyrinth Retro figures, just released THIS MONTH (April 2026) Notice the price is still only $15, same as it was a few years back when they made wave 1. BOTH figures in this pack are articulated, and notice how many paint "hits" each figure has. The dog even has silver painted "horseshoes" on his feet and a paint wash.PLUS Plastic Meatball is based in Culver City, CA, practically a stone's throw from Sony's Hollywood filming studio lot. Not a cheap zipcode. While not as expensive as San Francisco (Super7's home base).Plastic Meatball: 2 articulated figures and an accessory with multiple paint deco hits and a paint wash: $15Super7: one figure, maybe an accessory $25. Maybe o-ring, maybe 5poa, same price.Plastic Meatball: NO b&m distribution. Super7: lots of Target and Wal Mart distributionSuper7 are a bunch of price gouging liars. Unless you want to say a Jim Henson license is cheaper than their own internal brand like "The Worst"
>>11770187At least some of the outrageous price goes to the fact they're HQed in SF, one of the most expensive cities in one of the most expensive states to exist in.
>>11770241>Plastic MeatballNot to defend Super7, but only a few other things on their site are $14.99. Some are Super7 price matched. They need to do more, and for most on /toys/, they look like essentially (as far as adult collectibles) a less interesting Boss Flight or a NECA that barely has enough capital to start out with, until they start making more stuff.
>>11770423>Some are Super7 price matched. That is not "price matched" you absolute fucking retard. Thats two entire fucking figures for $20, when S7 is one for $25. Fucking shit you're retarded.
>>11770571Yes, you are quite the imbecile, since you can't tell the difference between "some" or know what "a few" means.I'm sure shilling gets you some free toys, or you are an employee - but don't be stupid when anyone can go to their website and see they have a really small amount of toys for sale and see the prices for themselves.
>>11770582>he’s still believes the shilling on 4chan memeWho would want to advertise on the racist incel site that’s noticeably losing its user base? When self-serve ads became a thing why did we only getai porn ads and invites to shady Discord servers?
>>11770030Loose hips, the company
>>11771021AAAAAAAAAH OH NO LESS ZOOMIE ZOOMS ON HERE CRYING ABOUT DUMB SHIT LIKE YOUTUBE DRAMA OR BIONICLE SHIT OH NOOOOO>heckin little chuddies heckin nazis heckin racisms
