Can somebody give me the rundown on this company? I know nothing about them but I constantly see their stuff significantly discounted basically everywhere. Do they even have fans? How do they stay afloat?
>>11770030I like their O-ring GI Joe stuff. It's fun, and a reminder why the cartoon was so soccessful. Some of their other O-ring lines like the monsters were OK too.
Their thundertank looks awesome, and like what should have been released in 1985. It's a bit pricey though. I really like the way they do their figures, though
>>11770030It's a large scale international money laundering scheme
>>11770030Mostly through their reactions and TMNT offerings. Their TMNT stuff is actually really cool, they were basically doing improved versions of the original playmates designs. It was a lot more appealing to me than other company’s offerings. Unfortunately, it seems they can’t do that anymore.
i don't know. my local toy store is filled with heavily discounted stuff from them for years on end and on BBTS, half their stuff is on discount all the time. maybe they make enough off the initial sales to keep their doors open. it is strange.
People seem to like the Reactions/Kenner stuff they find, like the music stuff. Just not for $25. Other stuff like Parks & Rec and the Office, I don't get, personally. Ut I think some of the companies mentality is/was COVID shaped and they haven't shaken it off.
>>11770030I like their Reaction line. The problem is, they are much too overpriced for what you get. I can't imagine where the production cost goes too. It can't go into licensing, and there are very little parts to the figures themselves. If they were $5 or $7 figures, I'd get a lot more. But $15 to $20? Come on now. Still like them and buy them on rare occasions, especially when they are on sale.
>>11770151>>11770187The price is what makes me pass on some of them. I think I got Eddie from Iron Maiden for $1 because Target couldn't price check him. And then the little Chucky Good Guy one I got too was $20. I couldn't find the price anywhere in their section of pop culture clutter until check out. I try to stay around $10-$15
>>11770187I bought the Iron Giants but mostly I put them on my /co Secret Santa lists for a few years (since most people think "$20 is cheap for a gift") and got the two on the right side that way. I only had to buy the one with Hogarth, which I at least got at retail and free shipped. Otherwise, yeah, if I was going to buy something Super 7, it's not worth paying more than $4-6 to $7-10, depending on what it is. $4.99 at Ross is definitely the sweet spot, but I've yet to see anything I even 'might' want there.
>>11770030Have they officially said if they're done with Power Rangers or not? I know the Madam Woe and Tigerzord Ultimates didn't get funded, but overall the line seemed to be going well enough. Bulk and Skull were successfully funded, but then no more Ultimates were advertised. Then they advertised Lord Drakkon and Shellshock ReActions, which just... never happened, for some reason.
>>11770214>I boughtHAVEI also bought the larger (7"), Ultimate TIG but only after it dropped down to half price on Amazon. The Diamond Select one was the same price and twice as big.
Here is Super7's Competitor, Plastic Meatball. Here is their newest wave of Labyrinth Retro figures, just released THIS MONTH (April 2026) Notice the price is still only $15, same as it was a few years back when they made wave 1. BOTH figures in this pack are articulated, and notice how many paint "hits" each figure has. The dog even has silver painted "horseshoes" on his feet and a paint wash.PLUS Plastic Meatball is based in Culver City, CA, practically a stone's throw from Sony's Hollywood filming studio lot. Not a cheap zipcode. While not as expensive as San Francisco (Super7's home base).Plastic Meatball: 2 articulated figures and an accessory with multiple paint deco hits and a paint wash: $15Super7: one figure, maybe an accessory $25. Maybe o-ring, maybe 5poa, same price.Plastic Meatball: NO b&m distribution. Super7: lots of Target and Wal Mart distributionSuper7 are a bunch of price gouging liars. Unless you want to say a Jim Henson license is cheaper than their own internal brand like "The Worst"
>>11770187At least some of the outrageous price goes to the fact they're HQed in SF, one of the most expensive cities in one of the most expensive states to exist in.
>>11770241>Plastic MeatballNot to defend Super7, but only a few other things on their site are $14.99. Some are Super7 price matched. They need to do more, and for most on /toys/, they look like essentially (as far as adult collectibles) a less interesting Boss Flight or a NECA that barely has enough capital to start out with, until they start making more stuff.
>>11770423>Some are Super7 price matched. That is not "price matched" you absolute fucking retard. Thats two entire fucking figures for $20, when S7 is one for $25. Fucking shit you're retarded.
>>11770571Yes, you are quite the imbecile, since you can't tell the difference between "some" or know what "a few" means.I'm sure shilling gets you some free toys, or you are an employee - but don't be stupid when anyone can go to their website and see they have a really small amount of toys for sale and see the prices for themselves.
>>11770582>he’s still believes the shilling on 4chan memeWho would want to advertise on the racist incel site that’s noticeably losing its user base? When self-serve ads became a thing why did we only getai porn ads and invites to shady Discord servers?
>>11770030Loose hips, the company
>>11771021AAAAAAAAAH OH NO LESS ZOOMIE ZOOMS ON HERE CRYING ABOUT DUMB SHIT LIKE YOUTUBE DRAMA OR BIONICLE SHIT OH NOOOOO>heckin little chuddies heckin nazis heckin racisms
>>11771313#self-owns gonna self-own
>>11770030How’s there Micronauts stuff?
>>11772502>Micronauts
>>11770030babeetus is having a sale on some right now
I bought King Sphinx from Power Rangers and his arm was snapped at the shoulder pin. BBTS will always replace broken stuff. But there's a reason they just want to get rid of these super7 ultimates at the $11 mark. They're done.
>>11773210they’ve been sitting on all of these for years. Note the biggest discounts are for the oldest shit, they just way over-ordered those early waves and they’re never going to get rid of them otherwise.
>>11773179It's not a really big sale. Most of those prices are the same prices they discounted from before Black Friday. I grabbed the Ultimate GI Joe Duke, even though I don't collect Joe's, because they have so many fucking accessories, and I know they (Super7) can produce good shit in the Ultimate lines. And I wish listed the others in case I liked this one. The prices on this 'current' sale is the same as they were in my cart BEFORE the email blast.I think >>11773385 is right that they do want to unload them and the sale more just called attention to it (like that recent McFarlane DC email blast, same thing about discounts), so they can clear crap out and make space in their warehouse for newer shit.
>>11772500>#anythingwhere the fuck are you coming from? twitter 2010?
>>11776291
>>11773179I can't find anything I'd be willing to buy for the price they're offering in that S7 sale. Something like 3-4 bucks might get me interested in a few.
>>11777585I bought ONE of the, I think 5? 6? GI Joe Ultimates they have, almost every single one on huge discount, because of all the accessories that those come with and a friend owns one and I liked what he did with it. For almost $16 (with taxes), it was worthwhile; I waste more money on one beer at a concert.
>>11773179this things are always on sale lol. they are overpriced garbage and only move if they are at least 50% off. AT LEAST.
>>11773179they have so much of their old shit in stock. nobody is buying it
>>11778770That's true with old NECA, Marvel Legends, DC, Hasbro and pretty much anyone else. BBTS is lucky the didn't get into or fall for the LEGO trap and that they aren't buried under plastic landfill fodder, a/k/a Funko Pops.
>>11779079>That's true with old NECAand new
>>11779282No, you're an idiot
>>11779282BBTS improves their ordering, so not really, no.There's always new product that peg warms, that true of even popular lines.BBTS has highly discounted Mythic Legions, for examples, and it's only highly discounted because it didn't sell.
>>11781564>nd it's only highly discounted because it didn't sell. That's not true and not how that works. Stop talking.
>>11770030I buy their Godzilla Ultimates because I like that they're oversized and decently articulate while also sometimes having really cool paintjobs like the Trendmasters Space Godzilla. However, their QC is fucking abysmal. Some of the smaller crystals on the Space Goji basically disintegrated. Not to mention they're ReAction figures, with some of the worst QC I've ever seen in any product. Bought the Disney World exclusive Tron figures from a clearance outlet (WDW is getting rid of most of their Tron merch if any of you are looking to buy) and the amount of issues I've had from them is staggering. Massively uneven legs, paint that rubs off, cracks or shortshots in the molds just to nane a few. And these retailed for $25 for the individual figures and $70 for the ones that came with lightcycles that don't even have the old ripcord play feature the old ones did. If you can find them at discount I suppose they aren't too bad (I got mine for $10 a fig and $25 a cycle) but I've already had to replace a Tron whose paint has come near completely off his helmet and disc. At the same time, I still love my Tron toys and it is the most complete set of characters in a line.
>>11781564>Mythic Legionsthey're shit. basically marvel legends for dungeon and dragon faggots
>>11770030I don't really get the point of them, seven inch scale so you can really see how cheap their figures look
>>11782167at least you can get them for cheap, too
>>11782136Mythic Legions do not have the articulation of MLs. MLs do not have the paint of Mythic Legions. Totally different line.
>>11770030I have precisely 1 thing from them and it's their shogun Godzilla remakeTheir fine, but I feel like they stuck to the wrong nicheInstead of making re-action the "what if thing but kenner star wars" line they should have made it a homage to actual toy history Because this here having an affordable recreation of the often overlooked classic Americana stylings of how Godzilla was looked at in America is cool
>>11782533I guess that's the thing about Super7, they have a shotgun approach and make overpriced toys from a huge range of IP big and small. And then are just using their nose to see what works.I liked the Mars Attacks figures fwiw.
>>11781658yes yes yesyou tell 'em, rando bbts owner totally wasting time correctly takes at a mongolian bar-b-cue brisket and basket weaver birthday party bash
>>11782564those don't look bad at all and look like they articulate well - I wish the head was better, did brighter colorgrabbed this for $5 at a clearance store, totally worth it but barely a 5poa
>>11782615Shut the fuck up
>>11782224>Totally different line.obviously. the point is they are both garbage you retarded autist.
>>11782691Except they aren't, so you are the retarded autist.
>>11782704>fanboy pathetic. and delusional.
>>11782704>>11782635>>11782772
Mean they get called subpar 7 for a reason
>>11782841yikes
Idk anything about power rangers but I think this character is cool looking should I buy this
>>11786138Yeah that stuff is a steal, night have loose hips but I bet it's good otherwise. I bought a bunch of TMNT stuff and that was my thoughts
>>11786138>cool lookingI picked up this one for $7.99 for exactly that reason>>11786355>loosehappens to many toys over time, it's not like it's hard to fix
>>11786138at that price, sure.
Super7 is bait-and-switch dogshit that often doesn’t even resemble the render they advertise it with before production. Not to mention breakage issues even if what you get looks like the render. I preordered their Disney Ultimates Alice and was so excited for it and her face came out looking like this. Never again.
