SexyIce posted more teasers for their "Neural Terminal Bio-Roid" which will probably open for preorder soon. Articulation demonstration video here:https://x.com/Sexyice2019/status/2051529860187922615?s=20
Anaconda Strike Unkval release moved up from June to May. Some people already have it in hand. Bombusbee is sending out second payment notices
Also Ant preorder window closing soon. I think the last thread died before it was fully revealed so I don't think anyone was able to talk about it.
Sorry I am not good at baking but the previous OP seems to have disappeared and I felt like there was some stuff to talk about
>>11778283I'm interested in this though the knee articulation looks a little more limited than I expected. I wonder how they will handle the variants since at wonfes they showed one with some silver mask and another with crash test dummy color scheme. >>11778284I regret not ordering anaconda from amiami because the shipping was a lot on BBB...
>>11778283The elbows having only a single joint is a bummer, but I've seen it work with the anime Harley Quinn from Revoltech. It has a similar single joint elbow scheme that works on par with the butterfly joint to achieve certain poses and moments. I'm excited to get these on hand and mess around with this interesting design choices.
>>11778283I like the fuckin' chink chutzpah to so brazenly show off the inner workings of their esoteric engineering as if BEGGING bootleggers to try and rip them off, or to conceitedly flip the bird at figma for trying the same thing with their upcoming archetype blank body. They do this every fuckin' time with no repercussions, and no brave bootleggers fucking up their damn profit margins.
>>11778287>previous OP seems to have disappearedI'm still around. I simply made it clear last thread I would not make a new thread until people had in hand pics of the Zatard Hounds. Anaconda Strike Unkval is a recolor, I don't go on Twitter, and I don't like hyping up pre-orders for stuff twice. Last thread there was a toy convention showcasing SexyIce2019 and pre-orders so it was a good time. I'll post in this thread too. Just wanted to let you know.
>>11778349>as if BEGGING bootleggers to try and rip them offI mean someone is trying to copy Unkval already...
>>11778352those suck dicks >>11778285>>11778284These slap tits >>11778283If they're actually cast in clear plastic I'd buy one. Not interested in owning a crash test dummy if opaque.
>>11778328Yeah I think if you just want a hyper posable blank body then the Whale Works will be the one to get. But I like this because the smooth android-esque design is kinda unique since usually blanks have very defined musculature. Of their projects in development I think the crash test dummy is my most anticipated.>>11778351>I would not make a new thread until people had in hand pics of the Zatard Houndsdesu for some reason I thought you had said until people had Anaconda in hand>>11778349Don't bootleggers usually just do recasts? Anyone can copy your engineering by buying your figure and taking it apart. Not sure how I would feel about that as a designer but as a buyer I wouldn't mind if companies took notes from things that work instead of experimenting and failing.>>11778352Who is this from?
>>11778352That's likely a psyop. Probably the Sexyice owner trolling people with an alt. I mean, seriously, the name is pretty on the nose: nerdy vs. sexy, fire vs. ice.>>11778380Yeah, and that's what gets me: why can't bootleggers just somehow copy the SexyIce joint tech with cheaper plastics that are still somewhat as good as their obsession with POK?Just figure out how to redo the tolerances with cheaper plastic and sell 'em low and in bulk. Run Tuhao Tang and Fuerdai Feng's wallet dry.
>>11778375They won't be clear but that would be a cool idea
>>11778385God damn it, they're literally test dummies... They teased the fuck out of me with the doggos, showing them off in clear plastic. I think they're slightly translucent black, but not nearly as cool as clear would be. I'm probably going to pass on this past per-apocalypse lineup until I see something I actually like.
Also does anyone know when Locust is due? I thought Ant would be here first, and I have yet to see Locust painted. I missed out on getting this guy and he turned out fucking amazing and better than any of the other bugs in the details department.
Since it's sexy ice and friends, it feels like an appropriate place to post this Sam Fisher from Splinter Cell
>>11778396Ant is an august release. Locust hasn't gone up for preorder yet so you haven't missed out
>>11778402I honestly think that looks like an AI generated mock up. None of the joints make sense.
>>11778287Ty for making the thread, anon.I really hope amico won't get anaconda unc until june so I can ship him with the thicc second axe girl.>>11778290How much was it? Idk who I should've ordered from
>>11778457Looks real enough to me https://www.bigbadtoystore.com/product/splinter-cell-blacklist-figscript-sam-fisher-1_12-scale-action-figure-188790?variation=369873Buuuut, and it’s gonna save me money, it’s not 1/12, Sam Fisher is 178-180cm, this guy 202
>>11778290>I regret not ordering anaconda from amiami because the shipping was a lot on BBB...Fucking THISI just got one figure and the total plus shipping to Burgerland was nearly $150, fuck BBB hard. Nothing that I can't do about it except cancel my order and that's a no question, dammit.
>>11778283>and Friends
>>11778285Uhm... there's a dude in the comments on the product page in Gundamit saying that Gundamit will not carry this and it's going to cancel existing preorders. Does anyone have any more info on that? Or is that a Bombushbee shill trying to get people nervous? Notably, Gundamit hasn't updated the product page with the prototype pictures.Where are you guys preordering this?
>>11778283I like this upcoming guy, Etched Human or something like that was called.
>>11778488i ordered off hlj where they're 80 usd each. you can set a notification if they come back in stockhttps://www.hlj.com/vermin-artificial-evolution-b006-ant-sex71499
>>11778494Oh shit, that IS really cool.
>>11778625Agree, he comes with a lot of accessories too. There's another version with it's the same but fair-skinned.
https://youtu.be/XQ-X6vm-MzA?t=1
>>11778283I hope they aren't that expensive because I want to buy a fuck ton of them I love the aesthetics and engineering for the shoulders look real nice. I hope we get a female version soon too.
So are all of you perfectly okay with the fact that this >>11778283 has the same hip articulation scheme as Yamaguchi action figures going back early 2000's maybe even late 90's?I'm used to it but I remember everyone hating on them. Anons lose their shit when some AY used them. I find it fascinating once it's not a Revoltech people don't seem to mind as much of the same engineering choices. Like Buzzmod afaik still use the old Revoltech style double joint shoulders that not even Revo use anymore. I don't know if anons made a fuss about that.
>>11778721Well, I am not a sexyice completist so I'm holding back judgement until it's up for POand I can see promo pics and the price.
>>11778721I love the Revoltech MP Evas so I don't mind
>>11778721I’m a tad concerned by the hinged elbows and knees, even if they don’t look bad aesthetically, like the hinges for the old Fraulines. I fear the hinges will shear off primarily, so I’ll let the FOMO consoomers PO and review them before I open my wallet.
>>11778284>Anaconda Strike Unkval release moved up from June to MayI order on amiami from the very first day and their always say released may>>11778328They dont design it to have a good range but rather imitating the human body curve, whatever that means
this is up for preorder on toyzmetaverse
>>11778721Nah I'm not a fan of it. The MP-Evas were fine for their time (I still have the complete version) but its definitely outdated engineering that I wouldn't want anyone replicating.
Preorder open May 9 to June 15I guess there's a white version now too?
>>11779027I already wanted this but playing Pragmata makes me want it more. I wish there was a little more subtle detail though maybe some kind of panel lining or just more printing. The little EAE logo is nice but maybe one or two more small prints like that would've added to it.
>>11779036Is it from Pragmata or at least resembles something from it? Haven't played it yet but I do have plans.
>>11779045No, sexyice doesn't do stuff from other IPs but it just kinda reminds me of one of the enemy types from that game.
>>11778837>so I’ll let the FOMO consoomers PO and review them before I open my walletAnon, I have some bad news. The FOMO consoomers don't simply buy 1, 5, or even 10 SexyIce2019 figures. There has never been leftovers sitting In-Stock. If you don't pre-order you don't get one.
Still waiting for gundam to post the full price for this guy
>>11779127Gundamit is annoying with prices. I think sometimes they raise them after getting the item in stock so I started just preordering to ensure I get the best price even if it is unknown
>>11779109Waitfagging for sexyice is funny. They are almost exactly made to order unlike "made to order" figma which often has a lot of extra stock hanging around for months after release. But I'm curious if this will always be the case or if we may see some extra stock with the zatard hounds. Gundamit still has the preorder for them open even though the window was supposed to have closed a while ago.
>>11778837>like the hinges for the old Fraulines. I fear the hinges will shear offYou're concerned over nothing. The old Frauleins had weak joints because the hinges were soft plastic like the rest of the body, PVC. As you can see here>>11778283 the joints are separate plastic. Most likely POM, the same plastic Figuarts, Figma, and Revoltechs are using today for their joints. They all have single hinges and rarely break the way a soft PVC peg would break off. There has to be some random ass imperfection or crack in the POM for it to happen. Somehow it got superglued or something.
>>11779173>Most likely POMI forgot they made a big deal about starting to use something BETTER called POK so it's probably that for anything new.
>>11778488Arent gundamit from mainland? Why cant they buy it? Where do chink get theirs sexyice then?
>>11779109Yeah I know of some autists who army build those fuckers, I can't imagine how much cash they've spent on that at this point.
>>11779109>imagine owning all of this and never commissioning a diorama space to pose them all in What's the matter with richfags? So uncreative.
>>11779285The poses are what get me, ffs Unkval articulates really well why leave him in such stance?
>>11779293The guy wants to display them like an army so what's wrong with them being in formation? Soldiers don't stand in line in different battle poses lol. What's insane is the AYs below them, just standing together individually for no good reason.
What the fuck is going with BBB shipping prices? One figure to EU costs 24 usd, 2 figures 17. This is a ripoff. I"m gonna drop the line if this is the only shop selling those.
>>11779417You can PO all Sexyice figures from Japanese stores like AmiAmi, Nin Nin Game, Hobby Genki, and Hobby link japan to name a few. Shipping might be a bit cheaper with them, but only AmiAmi has the exclusive recolors, pretty good stores all of them, tho Nin nin and Genki tend to be a bit slow
>>11779109>>11779301>What's insane is the AYs below them, just standing together individually for no good reason. It's almost like the guy can't pose and just put all his toys in A pose including the Unkval ones...
>>11779285Tuhao, man. Chinese noveau riche who never earned a damn penny and coasted off daddy's duplicitously defrauded dimes. All wealth, no class. Can't pose or be creative, all they can do is show off an army to flaunt their wealth. >>11778721Sadly I think some modern AmaYamas might be using similar styles for posing. Mostly Shigaraki comes to mind though unless I'm missing out on him actually having hip ball joints. God I hate that assembly. Really refuses to let you achieve that BEAUTIFUL SPREAD!
>>11779504>Shigaraki comes to mind though unless I'm missing out on him actually having hip ball jointsAnything modern has ball joint hips. The thighs are where it might be swivel or ball, but mostly swivel.Only 2 AY had swivel hips. Venom and Magneto. Both for the reason of supporting heavier weight.
>>11779516Let me be more specific about the hips. Angled swivel cuts AKA Yamaguchi's patented (not actually?) Monoshaft Drive system. Because AYs like Optimus, Mazinger Z/Great, Getter 1/Black all have a swivel at a hip too but bot the kind we're talking about.
>>11779285What would you build for Sexy Ice display? Ruined city? Cyberpunk dystopia, with neons or pure brutalist concrete? Lab?Once I get enough figures I may try to do one, I'm thinking a daytime future city with some damage.
>>11779781>2030>700k AntsDont think it fits cyberpunk
>>11779190sexy ice partnered with bombusbeehope the dogs still get send because i already pay for those
>>11779823how much is bombusbee paying that they ban their own countrymen from buying?
>>11779797Then what does it fit? Everything about sexyice reads pretty cyberpunky to me just with a focus on bugs. But speaking of the ant, I really think they should've been cheaper to allow people to army build them.
>>11779781Neca generic street scene.
>>11779922After reading more lore yeah it fits cyberpunkKinda hard to make it cheaper unless they make it smaller
>>11779823>sexy ice partnered with bombusbeeI just bought'd the preorder for a pair of ants. Last minute preorder, but I'm happy I got it in at least.>>11779922>But speaking of the ant, I really think they should've been cheaper to allow people to army build them. For fucking truth! I look at cool images like this and go >okay so that's about 12 grunts and 2-4 soldiers.>Holy shit, that's expensive to reproduce Smaller could work sure, but they have "premium" paint apps and supreme articulation; army building could be possible but those two areas would suffer if you're trying to drive the price down (and scale).
I got few figures, Stone Monkey is one of them and it comes with a massive blunt. 30cm + and heavier than most figures.>>11780369I find it pretty annoying, the whole made to order thing. You can't get more later on if u change your mind.
Bombusbee charged me 60usd for shipping 3 Anaconda Smashers... wtf is this? Placing preorders there was such a mistake.
>>11781056Do they ship in separate boxes like Gundamit? Otherwise it's kinda bs there is no combined shipping benefit and the shipping stacks on each item. When I went to pay, I saw I had some coupons but I kept getting an error when trying to redeem. BBB just sucks but at least being the official store, I would think they are less likely to cancel your order. I'm scared of ordering elsewhere and them not getting enough stock and then you're screwed.
Meh
>>11781145Looks like they are doing grey version at same time as well. Wonder where the crash test dummy is. But yeah this is kind of the bare minimum I was expecting plus a couple extra limbs I guess for a specific pose. This is not really a typical blank body that people might want for customs. So I wish they would've put some more detail on it. Maybe damaged limbs or exposed panels or something as swap out parts. I still think it's cool enough and want one though. But not sure if I should go for white or gray or wait for the dummy who would be a bit more interesting visually. It would be nice if they are cheap then I would just get both but I know they won't be lol
desu why go so hard on the skeleton if it's not going to be purchasable?
I do enjoy the "artistry" in their photos and marketing though. I will probably go for the white version.
>>11781072Haven't been shipped yet, it's my first time ordering from there. I'm curious if they are going to lower the value during shipping to avoid the tax, if not, well... I do like expensive figures but I hate wasting money.>>11781163Do they have a single jointed elbows?
>>11781166Yep they look like basically the same design as amazing yamaguchi knees. I can't tell what the extra arms are for or if they have different joints or something
>>11781179>can't tell what the extra arms are for or if they have different joints or somethingMy guess they have a deeper bend but from carving further out the inner side of the elbow. So they might look worse but you get a better range.
>>11781163Because they clearly intend to used the same inner frame for many future releases that have a male humanoid form.
>>11781270I meant with the photos. As a prototype/test item, it's cooler than it needs to be.
>>11781284It's to make it clear what kind of joint setup the figure has. You can only get these reasonably by PO they want all cards on the table before you purchase.
>>11781304>they want all cards on the table before you purchaseThen why do they put dark colored figures on dark colored backgrounds with harsh lighting where you can barely make out the details?
>>11781350>white and grey smooth mannequinsWhat are you on about? Shut up psycho.
>>11781350i think you might be blind anon
another from elden ring
>>11781472I will buy her to pose with Silver Moon Knight
any word on these dudes?
>>11778468Was like 30 bucks but I paid it because I'm not sure if in going to keep it or sell it. Also about to finish paying for 6 of the dogs and have 2 of each of the mannequins and 2 ants ordered
>>11781163I wonder if all the body parts over the skeleton are “floating” and can be removed?I REALLY want them to release the clear one, but will at least get white or grey.
>>11781145Many people say skipping this lol>>11781164Im scared of yellowing in the future so im buying gray
>>11781356>>11781373Fuck you fuck you OBVIOUSLY I wasn't referring to the androids but all of their previous products. Sexyice's dark photos absolutely make their figures harder to make out. Other companies have much clearer lighting and backgrounds. With some of the bugs I could barely tell what is going on in the pictures and what they are supposed to look like. Go on, pretend you don't know what I'm talking about and call me blind.
>>11781686>pretend you don't know what I'm talking about and call me blind. No shit. Suddenly changing the subject as if you think people can read your mind is a psycho move. You can't even form some basic means of communicating. Hence anons made fun of you. You not getting it also enforces the view, psycho. On this new and unrelated subject you have now brought up properly, who cares? You see enough unless you're blind. Honestly I don't even see a BIG difference between your samples. (e.g. What's going on with Figuarts' shoulders, figma's hips) Do you not understand what these photos are? The main reason everyone has different "product is subject to change" lines? The photos you see ARE NOT THE ACTUAL PRODUCT. When these were taken factory production of the final version has not yet started. So any high def details you might be wanting I honestly don't know, doesn't matter because how the mass produced final product is painted or even sculpted can be different. One could be 3D printed at the photo stage. So the tiny paint strokes or bumps you might see if the photos were how you wanted might not be there in the product. Ant is confusing but only structurally with the 4 arms. It's not the background or lighting but the posing in that case. And it's not like Sexyice doesn't have other means of checking out their future releases besides the promotional materials at PO. Most companies only have that. Figuarts lately barely has anything with those.
>>11781591I don't think so because the skeleton seem to have many points to secure the parts in place. I do wonder how soft these body parts are.>>11781635Any of them say it's because of the hip articulation method?
>>11781837
>>11781686i still think you're blind anon. even in the SexyIce photos you're showing they all have decent lighting and contrast that you can easily make out what the figures look like and if you have any decent experience with figures you can easily intimate what the articulation is going to be like. like >>11781837 mentions the only one that has some true visual clutter is the ant but even then you can look at it for more than 10 seconds and make out what the pose is plus there are so many other pictures besides that one provided by SexyIce that you can figure out whats going on with it
>>11781686I get what you mean. The Ant pic there is especially egregious given its black on a pure black background when it's an already vague looking figure.
>>11781865>Any of them say it's because of the hip articulation method?Nope, mostly because of just it being blank body especially the price tag
>>11781686Go checkout some Play Arts Shin pics then you'll know what truly unrevealing lighting photos are like.
>>11781145why is this so much money i thought this was a chinese product
>>11781056>Bombusbee charged me 60usd for shipping 3 Anaconda Smashers... wtf is this?No fucking way. I preordered 5 dogs from them. What the fuck is that going to cost, 150 dollars in just shipping?
>>11778385Are they actually gonna do the crash test dummy version? I'd love to have that one.
>>11782066the chinese PO price is like $38.70 so it really shouldn't be expensive on import sites
>>11781056>>11782118I ordered a single Anaconda Smasher and the fucker cost me nearly $150, I guess that's gonna be the last time I po something from BBB.
>>11781837Not the anon that complained, but can you confidently say something as simple as whether the ant has an upper torso shaped like a man with pecs or a more like an ant with a single bulb? He does buttocks, and some pic suggests shoulder blades, or could that be his front because he might be putting put his limbs backwards? He looks cool, but I've preordered it without fully grasping his shapes.
>>11781837They literally showcase the body in motion and share the skeleton body of the figure, you are just retarded and blind
>>11782555Not sure what you're seeing but hopes this clear things up. I think what's confusing people is that the the ant twists it's body and head in some poses like when going on all 6 limbs like legs. You can tell front and back of the upper body by looking at the shoulder pads, the back has extra lines.
>>11782572Did you reply to the right post?
>>11782165WF special color for 2 times the price>>11782321And that would be your last sexyice too then since its only BBB that has them>>11782580All that joint is all POK? no wonder its expensive
>>11782626WF?
>>11782626>And that would be your last sexyice too then since its only BBB that has themYou know Gundamit, Amiami, Hobby Genki, etc. exist right?
>>11782631So this is the third party thread? Did someone got the Grommash from hero toys? He looks really cool, it's a shame he isn't in NNG or HG
>>11782633>So this is the third party thread? Not OP but sure, I don't see why not, plus other anons were posting other stuff besides Sexyice
BBB shipped my Smasher. So hyped can't wait to get him. But I'm gonna avoid them for the androids. Hopefully Gundamit puts them up soon. Also for some reason Amiami has an October release for them when everyone else has August.
>>11778705I'm torn between BBB and Gundamit, on one hand, I know how much he'll cost on the latter, shipping included. On the other hand, I also read that BBB used to be the cheaper option, however reading these comments is making me have second thoughts.
>>11782631Gundamit is canceling POs on a bunch of sexyice things, they're just keeping your money until the last minute. JP websites might have better luck but you'll pay out the ass for shipping there too.Sexyice is pretty much forcing people to use BBB, or try their luck with aliexpress.
>>11782802>Gundamit is canceling POs on a bunch of sexyice thingsWhat the fuck, is this true? God fucking dammit
>>11782875Given how clearly SexyIce is communicating that their "international store" is "BBB", I fully expect that they'll cancel bigger ones after the hounds.
>>11782887Holy fucking shitFuck this straight earth
I ordered all of my stuff from genki. I don't like how Gundamit does their website and I'm not doing business with BB after 30 shipping for one figure.
just buy from amiami?? what's the issue here
>>11782887Why is the ant affected but not the dog? Ant was not exclusive either. I feel like something is going to happen with the dog too. They still have preorders open well past the window close date.Anyway you can tell from stuff like this the sexyice guys are kinda faggy high on their own supply type mfs. Other Chinese studios have better practices, these guys made some good shit and got a big head>>11782902GD had the best prices. Any Japan site will kill you on shipping, even bulk shipping isn't that helpful anymore. Plus GD is china meaning they get it and ship it faster while Japan sites will be importing it from China which can take a little longer. If it's Jap sites or BBB, I guess I'll just stick with fucking BBB and their shipping because at least it will guarantee the product. I don't trust Jap sites to not cancel either.
>>11782887>thought it was only the green Smasher the one not in Gundamit cause it was an exclusive>turns out they're also cancelling the Ant and possibly future releasesMan screw this shit
>>11782887>company makes it harder for people to buy their productI really don't understand this.
I honestly just want this version. If it's a con exclusive will it only be available on some kind of aftermarket? How available do you think it'll be?
>>11781163Ah shit those damn Optimus-bot-lookin' motherfuckers have the same hip assembly as a fuckin' Revo Eva (>>11778721), as that one anon said. Can't even do a Jobby-worthy BYOOOTIFUL SPREAD, the biggest posers of ChiCom figure making fucked up BIG time!
>>11783147As long as it's not an ultra limited amount like the yellow Unkval...
I think they made them dummies so the rest of their lineup can clown on them, or rarely the tides turn and they get mopped by the safety crew.
I don't know what is going on with BBB at the moment, I'm guessing it's Iran related. They are only posting replacement parts in combination with other orders because of shipping costs and they took my Catwoman second payment almost a month ago and she has still not shipped. They usually take a week maybe two at max and that is still normally before anyone else ships out.
>>11782887>restructuring distribution policyFancy way to say “We forgot to grease the wheels of the CCP with our usual bribe money”?
>>11782887Cant imagine getting cockblocked by your own countrymen
>>11782887>had to pay $55 USD in shipping on BBB for 2 of the green smashersGod BBB is fucking shit. I'll just hold out for Amiami orders from now on then since they seem to be getting all of them
>>11782934>Plus GD is china meaning they get it and ship it fasterThis. I was able to get my Manticora before a single listing on ebay appeared in North America. Do you know what kind of advantage you get if something shows up with zero competition? Now that's fucking gonzo.
>>11782934>If it's Jap sites or BBB, I guess I'll just stick with fucking BBB and their shipping because at least it will guarantee the product. There are no guarantees with Scumbusbee, and don't be surprised if they fuck you over eventually. Their system glitched and tried to charge me $500 for a $100 order, and when I asked them to fix it up and I'll pay asap, they cancelled my order and kept my deposit. The weird part was they did send me a corrected invoice, but they cancelled my order almost immediately after they sent it, because I tried to pay within a few minutes of receiving it and it was already cancelled.I used to vouch for them, but they can get fucked. And if Sexyice decides to make their shit exclusive to those scumbags, them fuck em.
>>11783147If this were being release alongside the white/grey blanks, I would probably go for the dummy version. I wish we had a better idea of their long term release plan, but that doesn’t help them get FOMO preorders
Why is this a hype line? These are so fucking gay, and not unique at all. How did they become some highly sought after thing?
>>11783516If they cancel the dogs on Gundamit I will pass, just pay for the existing preorders and drop the line entirely. Sexy Ice is just to hostile to consumers, the most annoying line to collect. Most likely by selling what I already have I would get my money back, but selling online is a big pain in the ass.
>>11781163kinda want the white one but not if it turns yellow in a few years
Even bbts carries them now. 79 for the dogs and mannequins.
>>11778283>>11778385>>11779027>>11781145Articulation doesn't seem all that great? Especially compared to their other stuff.
>>11783725I think it's fine. They probably went for more realistic articulation. Double joints aren't always anatomically realistic.
>>11783727Just seems like an odd choice considering this companies whole shtick is ripping off revoltech
>>11783732revoltechs are fucking shit you goddamn retard
>>11783732Is that their shtick? I think they are trying hard to be unique and different. You can tell the people behind the company are major artfags, and I mean the arrogant and obnoxious kind of artfag. That's why they want to maintain their exclusivity and FOMO hype, why they spam 20 posts at once on instagram. Also why they will never reissue Eliminator because they are "embarrassed" of their old work and feel they can do better now.
>>11783752Honestly? It's been obvious seen day one and it looks like you've only just caught on to whats the commonly and correct opinion on what these revolbootlegs have been doing for years at this point and owe all their success to john revoltech
>>11783752I just meant their engineering and scultping style, clearly heavily inspired by yamaguchi katsuhisa
>>11783762>I mean its obviousprove it
Anthony Customs is the one that perpetuates sexy ice as revoltech imitations so every post repeating this can be safely ignored.
>>11783777nigga LOOK at unkval like come the fuck on lmao
>>11783769If anons can't see it after the exact same Yamaguchi Monoshaft Drive being used in their latest work >>11778721 >>11781163 then no amount of proof is going in your tiny minds. It takes a real Yamaguchi fan to dig up such an old jointing method. All their work aren't straight copies of course but there's no doubt who got them inspired to release action figures of this nature.
>>11783777Anthony gave Unkval a high score so he's based for me.
>>11783547ChiComs. Footbinding-perpetuating ricefuckers got to astroturfing shit in China on Weibo, possibly by handing out copies to influencers and paying the CCP to look the other way for their loans, then greedily feeding on inconveniencing customers so their affiliated scalpers could supercharge people while claiming "every copy is personalized".Fuck them, I hope the Three Gorges Dam finally washes their filth away once those cracks finally give way or Taiwan grows a spine to launch. >>11783732If they wanted to rip off Revoltech they could start by showing tits like Queen's Blade was daring to do - oh wait they're chronically-cucked flaccid-cocked culturally-castrated ChiComs. Can't even get that shit straight while making big burly men lol.
>>11784262lmao why are you so angry? honestly i just bought them for profit ez money. all the people that think sexyice is worth 10x the pre order price is dumbasses
>>11784284CCP agent confirmed. Get out of here bugboi!
>>11784285??? i dont even defend them retard
so what site are burger bros ordering the android from? I can't decide who to go with
>>11784397>>11784397I've switched everything to hobby genki though I may start doing bbts because after shipping and tariffs I think they're going to be similar. >>11783717
>>11781686>Sexyice's dark photos absolutely make their figures harder to make out. kek that was exactly my thought looking at the pictures and before reading your post.I call that visual bloat. Details blending together. Surely there is better way to put it but yeah the sexy ice photos are all shit. It's almost like AI where the brain can't process what it sees. The big bugfer for example it's almost impossible to tell which way he'a facing if you didn't know what the product looked like
>>11784405I had no idea what manticora looked like until I watched an in hand review. But to be fair I didn't really look at his images that closely because I never intended to get him. They're not impossible to see if you look closely but definitely harder than it should be if you're trying to advertise a product.
>>11784397my luck has been good with chinese shippers so im gonna try bbb
What the fuck? These are the only two choices? So fucking boring. Which one are you getting? Troy 21 is better because the skull part is at least contrasting enough to be visually interesting.
>>11784547White and blue like you said for the contrast. Gray looks too much like a resin printed prototype. I wish they included some kind of battle damaged swap out parts. As is, it is a little bit boring.
>>11784551I mean the product is great, but it's so barebones I don't think the price justifies it.>looks resin printed A bit, yeah. I just did a fucking doubletake when I first went to BBB because I couldn't detect the difference off of the first image on each page. >should've had damaged partsI mean that's like my favorite inclusion for Manitcora, because without them there just wouldn't be any visual contrast.
Wish they made different colourways for Manticora
>>11784571If you are outside of China/Japan, yeah it is pretty pricey for something so bland. I am still getting one though because I like the artistic nature of how they presented it and I'm curious about the engineering knowing how well made their other stuff is. Also I like the cyberpunk-ish lore/worldbuilding they've been coming up with and started filling some of it in with my own head canon. I'm not really into the bugs but like the idea of synthetic human/android type things that maybe malfunctioned or got corrupted and turned on humans.>>11784584There's still time. Seems like the Pure Ice brand is for recolors.
>>11784547I'm gonna pass on these, they're pretty cool, and I'm sure the articulation will be very good, but for this kind of a generic/mannequin design I'd want super crazy Yamguchi levels of articulation, but these don't seem to have that. For a generic humanoid/cyborg/android/mannequin figure I'm more impressed with the Sheik Mainland Xenostrike kits, they are 1/18 scale but they have Yamaguchi level poseability (of course they are robots, so they don't have to hide their joints like these Sexy Ice figures have to). They just recently came out with some female styled ones in 1/18 and they have plans for a 1/12 version.
>>11784584gold+red accents would be amazing
>>11778285Fire ant version has to happen, right? I feel like these jet-black paintjobs do the figure a disservice
>>11784547I'm gonna wait and hope that they release the crash test dummy variant. I'll deal with missing out if that's what it means, I just know a blank is gonna sit untouched.
