Are these things in six inch scale?
Some can be, most aren't.
>>11781234Okey doke, Thanks Anon. I may gamble it if I want something for my touys
>>11781271If you just look up the specific series on Etsy there are tons of accounts that just buy the balls in bulk and then sell the items individually if you dont want to gamble on an entire ball
>>11781324Good thinking, Anon, Appreciate ya.You got any you use for your figs?
>>11781271I hope they're still doing the "Toys" one then. They also had a Disney Store version
>>11781271It depends on what, the LotR stuff, like swords and knives and spears that I picked up because these were at Ross and were bargains, work with some things, but I am dumping/selling off a lot of the fantasy stuff that I can't really use for say a Thor scene. If you go to a Target or a store that has the balls in their actual display boxes, there's a "window display" on the side of the box that shows you the actual contents but - obviously - you are buying a "blind box" item. >>11781324>>11781378That is just fine if you want one thing - a painting or a lady's purse, etc. If you wanted weapons or something else, it's not really cost-effective as find the balls on clearance. I've never paid more than $2-3 for one, which is less than what some ebay scalpers want for say this particular sword, which turned out too small for a Marvel Legends Thor but I could use on the wall as a display piece in a dios and most sellers want like $4.99 plus postage for it:https://shop.mgae.com/cdn/shop/files/514510-Make-It-Mini-The-Lord-of-the-Rings4.jpg
>>11781535>What a haul ,anon has a serious buying problem>Look closer>See the MiniToy eggs at the top.Damn those mini toys and the packaging look is really well done. Got fooled!
>>11781604I'm a little surprised with how big Minis are (heh) they never licensed an actual video game console and controllers.I figure Microsoft at least would be willing to play ball.
>>11781604I wish I could find the money from someone second hand, on ebay or elsewhere. Most of the money on Crapazom and eBay is the cheap Chinese junk that can look decent but when it shows up is flimsy color photocopies that are badly chopped up and not even centered 90%+ of the time.
>>11781641There's gashapon ones from Japan, mostly meant for Figma scale. Also some other options by different mini producers for things like controllers.
>>11782267>>11781641They made video game machines that were overpriced and were sold at Target. A few popped up at one of my local Ross but I thought they will still overpriced at $14.99 especially since I was pretty sure I had seen some at a Target on clearance for under $10.Someone did some stickers and designs to make your own pinball and other game machines for display shelves and I know another anon did one of those table top tennis/pong type console that fit a 1/12 action figure. I don't see that it would be hard to do a TV set and a game cube type display, it would mostly be cardboard and foam and some good photocopies colored stickers?
>>11781271Mixed scale and people have reference photos against barbie and more so you can buy secondhand if you don't want to gamble
>>11781604>005 and 080MR. JANNY GET DOWN
>11783706>hiromoot save us>you are our only hope
>>11781226
>>11782267sort of related, they also made a Spongebob vending machine>>11782830What cases are these from?
>>11787262An anon did those with card stock +cardboard/paper, etc. and decals. He offered up PDF files so others could make similar machines. You should be able to find it in the archives.
>>11782830That was me. >>11787262>What cases are these from?https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B0C3V2PDSP
>>11788150Are you the one that created and shared the PDF files - if so, thanks. Haven't really actually "built" anything but I played with the designs last year and did some proof of concept stickers and stuff with my libraries color printer. The ink was crap, and I used cheap mailing label stickers I had and plan to get some vinyl when I get around to it. So thanks!
>>11788254Yes sir that is me. One day I'll come back and finish out the last 10 or so I need to make. But I'm glad people are still finding them useful.
>>11788150>>11787262>>11788291
>>11788319Fun things look like fun What's not to like?
>>11781226Who buys this shit? They arent even toys just micro plasticy pieces of unplayable shit
>>11788291Do you think you could do a GI Joe one? I think it'd look great with how big the Classified line has gotten
>>11788778People buy accessories, zoomie.I know you just either don't actually own or can afford any genuine toysOr your just a lonely, basement dweller who only feels alive when they troll and shitpost, so thus don't understand the hobbyBut that's okay
>>11788786Be the change you want to see, anon
>>11788786I just wasted 20 or so minutes looking on https://archive.palanq.win/toy/ for you and I can't find it but some guy on the GI Joe's Gen or the Custom's Gen did an officer's mess hall with Joe's - in a bar kinda setting, and IIRC, there were pool tables and dart boards and shit like that in that DIOS that anon made, you might want to ask them - for all I remember, there was also something more like what you want anon
>>11788150UH OH TREMERZ. Also you wouldn't happen to have PDF's for the Basic Fun arcade machines, would you?
>>11790176There's currently a company trying to sell the art for it so because of that I assume that's why it's so hard to find HD versions of it online
>>11790382The PDF files are in the archives
>>11790712You just need to find ONE and right click and create your own HD version

>>11781555I honestly hate Miniverse. My kid went through a phase where she wanted them, and I thought it would be a fun craft we could do together. Instead it was a messy pain in the ass and the swords I tried to make from the LotR set got fucked up. I do like the Hello Kitty sets, they're cute and go well with the 4inch HK figures she has.I also exclusively buy them on clearance, though.
>>11793332>messy pain in the ass>swords I tried to make from the LotR set got fucked upYeah, I haven't attempted it, I think you need patience and it is something to do with a kid, which I don't have so who knowsI might turn around and post them on ebay
>>11793432Admittedly, it was my first time doing a set that had those types of molds, so I probably wasn't doing it properly. But a lot of other people have complained about similar issues with it and having to do alternative methods in order for them to properly release from the molds without breaking. They look really cool when done successfully at least. Would be neat to utilize for TTRPG stuff.
>>11793332>>11793332I would never do those kits with a kid, especially not a young one theyre supposedly rated for with supervision, and never without double gloves and respirators or proper ventillation... Resin is very dangerous and carcinogenic. While its wet and when you cure it, it lets off terrible fumes, and any resin that isnt directly touched by UV light can't ever cure so itll have uncured goo or worse turn into a resin bomb that'll just pop some day if theres a liquid resin core inside of a cured resin shell.Plus I don't trust my kid not to touch the resin and then touch something else. If it doesnt get cured it will be forever sticky and cancerous lol... it's a cool idea but its a shame that its resin.
>>11794062Damn. I didn't realize resin was that dangerous. And they sell these things to kids?
>>11794062It bothered me too when I realized it was resin used. It was hard to keep my kid away from wanting to "help" because I had to stress to her that the stuff was toxic. I'd only let her mess with the non-resin stuff. Also, my mom bought my 3 year old son a bunch of the Spongebob ones for easter... I didn't even open them. I just donated them all to the local catholic charity shop. My mom thought they were snack kits.
>>11794062>>11794193>>11794551Good to know. I don't have kids but I have neighbors that do and I was going and the building community resource woman does a craft thing about once a month and I was going to offer to bring these and man a table. The only ventilation would be a huge, tall cieling community room. But I certainly don't have even one of those UV Light powered portable sanitizer thingies and I don't think I want to spend the cash on one just for these LOTR swords.
>>11794714You can put them out in the sun to cure, but of course, if you don't live in a dependably sunny area it can be a crapshoot.
OK, so what's the best way to get poison free accessories for my figures? Like I wanted those Miniverse Happy Hour alcohol paraphernalia, but those are like ALL resin.
>>11794714You can just use a strong UV lamp, like the ones 3d resin printing people use to cure their gloves before throwing away, or to cure a spot thats still tacky.>>11795183>Like I wanted those Miniverse Happy Hour alcohol paraphernalia, but those are like ALL resin. They're fine if you pour and then cure in small layers. Plus you can make gradiations in the liquid, or put in ice cubes and fruit without it sinking to the bottom.
>>11788291Oh shit that's you? I haven't made mine either but i still have the files saved and I'm getting closer to actually doing it. Thanks again for your generosity.
