What did we think of the 2024 Street Sharks? Kinda feels like it fell off quickly
>>
>>11783199
Biker Mice from Mars won
>>
>>11783199
Didn't know it existed.
>>
>>11783199
I was very invested in it from the onset, but the distribution was dogshit, and I ended up finding more of the characters in discounters than at standard retail. Mattel probably saw more success from MOTU Origins and put all their eggs in that basket.
>>
>>11783199
Got me excited for the inevitable TMNT collab
>>
>>11783224
Seconding.

Knowing Mattel they wont hesitate to put these molds back out on shelves again.
>>
>>11783206
Really? I got mine for 8 bucks each on clearance. Meanwhile the Street Sharks didn't even seem to stay on shelves at normal price.
>>
Good figures. Was really confused why the revival was so short.
>>
>>11783224
Which is never happening
>>
I still have my original ones
>>
>>11783199
I was excited for it and ready for Wave 3. My guess is since Mattel now has the TMNT and DC licence is all hands on deck for those two, so this one got shelved.
>>
>>11783199
They made the unimaginable blunder of not doing Hand Sharks
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WFapf84rLqk
>>
>>11783199
Should have had a new cartoon to go with it, like X-Men 97. Only reason I wanted these as a kid was because of the show.
>>
>>11783306
I say the biggest blunder was selling Dr. Piranoid instead of some other villain
>>
>>11783321
Yeah that's a tough one.
He was the main villain but I don't think he was anyone's favorite toy. At the very least Killamari and Slobster should have been before him.
>>
>>11783302
Poor sales killed the line
>>
>>11783199
Pisses me off they canceled wave 3 and 4. If anything, they should have abandoned the variants of the sharks and made a final wave of just Slobster, Killamari and Moby Lick. I feel like those were pretty important to the line. Maybe we'll get something on the 35th in 2029. Like a reissue of what we already got for those that missed them. And the new figs. I waited 30 years to get figure of SS, I got the 4 borthers and Piranoid. I can wait a couple years for B characters.
>>
>>11783451
I was waiting for those

fucking bastards
>>
>>11783451
Couldnt agree with you more, anon. Frankly I think the early cancellation put off licensors from chasing Muscle Mutts and Extreme Dinosaurs.
>>
Got them all. They’re amazing. Supposedly Mattel is waiting to relaunch the line and do waves 3 and 4; hope it’s true.
>>
>>11783260
It’s happening sooner than you think.
>>
>>11783508
No, it's not
>>
>>11783508
>30 years after
>"sooner than you think"
anon i...
>>
>>11783539
He's retarded, you can't help him
>>
>>11783451
How did they cancel this if the original 2 waves were never in stores? Like I just don't understand what happened here. They never got them in major retailers. I saw exactly one of these in a small independent comic and toy shop. Online only shit was never going to be enough for these, they should have sucked Walmart's dick and gotten them in there.
>>
>>11783546
Nobody wants to carry them
>>
>>11783199
Idk, too expensive is what I recall.
>>
>>11783546
They were in my Targets and Walmarts. One case of them, though. They were really meant to be online, and BBTS shared MSRP too and still has wave 2 left.
>>
>>11783552
Nobody wants to carry anything. The top 5 toy companies bumrape the buyers and force them all to buy. Mattel as the number one toy maker can sell anything to anyone if they decide to.
>>
>>11783507
>They’re amazing.
No they are not
>>
40 bucks is a little much
>>
>>11783792
Modern articulation, so yes they are.
>>
>>11783907
>Modern articulation
""""modern""""
>>
>>11783302
>>11783451
One of the Mattel reps at SDCC said they still plan to get the rest of the figures out.
They likely delayed their plans once the big licensing push resulted in IDW getting the license for the comic and the Netflix series getting greenlit, and there eass no point in putting every toy on the shelf a year or two before a planned multimedia frenzy.
Ignore the naysayer. He is a troll, and for some reason Street Sharks causes him to anally prolapse.
>>
>>11784327
>being this much of a gullible retard
>>
>>11783199
only the villians were easy to find in my area, sharks came and went quick, even that rerelease wave with 2 ripsters and 1 streex sold real fast, never saw them on clearance like they failed or anything, it's like Mattel got cold feet fast
>>
I love how this one line generates so much anger in one specific anon that he's made it his personal jihad to shittalk it forever more. That alone makes it a worthwhile line.
>>
>>11784468
The rest of the Street Sharks line has a greater chance of happening that the NECA Metaluna Krang which has been shelved indefinitely.
