What did we think of the 2024 Street Sharks? Kinda feels like it fell off quickly
>>11783199Biker Mice from Mars won
>>11783199Didn't know it existed.
>>11783199I was very invested in it from the onset, but the distribution was dogshit, and I ended up finding more of the characters in discounters than at standard retail. Mattel probably saw more success from MOTU Origins and put all their eggs in that basket.
>>11783199Got me excited for the inevitable TMNT collab
>>11783224Seconding. Knowing Mattel they wont hesitate to put these molds back out on shelves again.
>>11783206Really? I got mine for 8 bucks each on clearance. Meanwhile the Street Sharks didn't even seem to stay on shelves at normal price.
Good figures. Was really confused why the revival was so short.
>>11783224Which is never happening
I still have my original ones
>>11783199I was excited for it and ready for Wave 3. My guess is since Mattel now has the TMNT and DC licence is all hands on deck for those two, so this one got shelved.
>>11783199They made the unimaginable blunder of not doing Hand Sharkshttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WFapf84rLqk
>>11783199Should have had a new cartoon to go with it, like X-Men 97. Only reason I wanted these as a kid was because of the show.
>>11783306I say the biggest blunder was selling Dr. Piranoid instead of some other villain
>>11783321Yeah that's a tough one.He was the main villain but I don't think he was anyone's favorite toy. At the very least Killamari and Slobster should have been before him.
>>11783302Poor sales killed the line
>>11783199Pisses me off they canceled wave 3 and 4. If anything, they should have abandoned the variants of the sharks and made a final wave of just Slobster, Killamari and Moby Lick. I feel like those were pretty important to the line. Maybe we'll get something on the 35th in 2029. Like a reissue of what we already got for those that missed them. And the new figs. I waited 30 years to get figure of SS, I got the 4 borthers and Piranoid. I can wait a couple years for B characters.
>>11783451I was waiting for thosefucking bastards
>>11783451Couldnt agree with you more, anon. Frankly I think the early cancellation put off licensors from chasing Muscle Mutts and Extreme Dinosaurs.
Got them all. They’re amazing. Supposedly Mattel is waiting to relaunch the line and do waves 3 and 4; hope it’s true.
>>11783260It’s happening sooner than you think.
>>11783508No, it's not
>>11783508>30 years after>"sooner than you think"anon i...
>>11783539He's retarded, you can't help him
>>11783451How did they cancel this if the original 2 waves were never in stores? Like I just don't understand what happened here. They never got them in major retailers. I saw exactly one of these in a small independent comic and toy shop. Online only shit was never going to be enough for these, they should have sucked Walmart's dick and gotten them in there.
>>11783546Nobody wants to carry them
>>11783199Idk, too expensive is what I recall.
>>11783546They were in my Targets and Walmarts. One case of them, though. They were really meant to be online, and BBTS shared MSRP too and still has wave 2 left.
>>11783552Nobody wants to carry anything. The top 5 toy companies bumrape the buyers and force them all to buy. Mattel as the number one toy maker can sell anything to anyone if they decide to.
>>11783507>They’re amazing.No they are not
40 bucks is a little much
>>11783792Modern articulation, so yes they are.
>>11783907>Modern articulation""""modern""""
>>11783302>>11783451One of the Mattel reps at SDCC said they still plan to get the rest of the figures out. They likely delayed their plans once the big licensing push resulted in IDW getting the license for the comic and the Netflix series getting greenlit, and there eass no point in putting every toy on the shelf a year or two before a planned multimedia frenzy.Ignore the naysayer. He is a troll, and for some reason Street Sharks causes him to anally prolapse.
>>11784327>being this much of a gullible retard
>>11783199only the villians were easy to find in my area, sharks came and went quick, even that rerelease wave with 2 ripsters and 1 streex sold real fast, never saw them on clearance like they failed or anything, it's like Mattel got cold feet fast
I love how this one line generates so much anger in one specific anon that he's made it his personal jihad to shittalk it forever more. That alone makes it a worthwhile line.
>>11784468The rest of the Street Sharks line has a greater chance of happening that the NECA Metaluna Krang which has been shelved indefinitely.
I love it for this anon alone. Hope your bitch sister get another whack just because.
>>11784460>it's like Mattel got cold feet fastI mean yeah, that happens when a line doesn't sell.
>>11784327>He is a troll, and for some reason Street Sharks causes him to anally prolapse.Playmates, too.
>>11784126Yeah. their limbs aren't pre-posed anymore. Now what?
>>11783451Mattel says they're still coming, but that was said in 2025, plus the big aquisition of Turtles probably put the turtles in the priority. Didn't know they also got DC fully, so yeah, it's no wonder they're either delayed or down right canceled. I needed a new Slobster too. The leg squeezing gimmick to get the pincher to close, the non-squeeze leg snapped off.
>>11783556I never saw Street Sharks at WM any 3 major cities I rotate through. Saw them at Targets all over, but never WMs. Target even restocked them a few times so I got a second Doc for half off when he was all that was left.
>>11784549Touch grass, retard.
>>11786423Ah, speak of the devil.
>>11786597Is that why you're here?
>>11786423Sick bantz, I'm sure the redditors are really impressed with how tough you look
>>11786609Yeah, that's true, nobody wants you around.
>>11783546>How did they cancel this if the original 2 waves were never in stores? Like I just don't understand what happened here. They never got them in major retailers. You answered your own question. No retailers wanted these things. The price point was too high since they were small runs, and without any tv shows/movies/games, major retailers didn't want to order them. Rightfully so. Most collectors that did get these didn't seem too impressed with them and I recall seeing tons of QC issues with the rubber tearing.
>>11783199Wow it’s like this toyline that failed at $5 a pop was going to fail at $35 a pop who could’ve guessed
>>11786965Toys these days need a large media franchise attached for retailers to be interested since the number of people buying toys these days is so much smaller than it was decades ago.
>>11786612You know reveling in your own filth still makes you a faggot, right? More importantly I want to know why shark men trigger you so much.
Mattel should release two-packs of a turtle and a shark, as well as Shredder and Piranoid, to sneak reissues with possibly new, show-accurate colors (IE Streex's green pants) like when they did DCUC/MOTUC two-packs when they first had the DC license.Though would they be in a clamshell or maybe sharing one large cage together?
>>11788141Enjoy your vacation
>>11788344Racist and stupid as hell, winning combo
>>11788364Tell the thread where the shark men touched you so I can laugh at you harder
>>11788262Oh man that'd kick ass. You could have half the package look like a torn up shark cage and the other half could look like a grimey alleyway like the vintage turtle cards did. Frankly at this point, if another DC × MOTU crossover is in the works, I hope they homage those classics boxes too.
>>11788379I'd be shocked if Mattel doesn't use that exact packaging for the inevitable TMNT crossover. On that note how long will it take before the Extreme Dinosaurs are added to the mix and face off against the Triceratons?
>>11788395There isn't going to be a crossover, it's really sad that you keep saying that.
>>11788427Whats sad is you're wasting your saturday trying and failing to troll a thread because you're a no-lifer who gets upset over toys
>>11788433Why are you talking about yourself like that? You should aim higher. Tsk.
>>11787029Yeah, cause Trashkins had a multi-season series... Oh, remember the fifteen Labubu movies?
>>11788427Why wouldn't they? They already had the turtles bump into He-Man and his buddies so may as well bump into the Jawesome Foursome while they're in the neighborhood.
>>11788632Kindly fuck off already
>>11788395>how long will it take before the Extreme Dinosaurs are added to the mix and face off against the Triceratons? If this doesnt happen I will be disappoint. That's a match made in heaven.
>>11788735You first, mister cheery.
>>11788632>Why wouldn't they?because they have tmnt
>>11788861Seriously, these imbeciles can't even use their brain for a moment.
>>11783214Well ...now ....
Is it true there’s going to be a Netflix show or is that jist BS?
>>11789510Rumor. The only recent news is the IDW comic.
>>11789530>IDW comic.and it looks bad
>>11789531For better or worse, they were exactly like episodes of the show in comic form.
>>11789532Prove it
>>11789534Predictable plots, generic dialogue, done-in-one stories...at least the art was spot on.
>>11789510Boco is an idiot, keep that in mind
>>11784569You do know a big company like Mattel has more than one employee, correct?
>>11790133Nah, it's just Mathew Mattel.
>>11783199It was just a hold over in the eyes of Mattel until Mattel got back the DC license
