>>11786860Lol, funny
>>11786680Is it just me or this anniversary kinda sucks? Like we don't have any new cool toys and the next gen is coming only next year (stupid choice)...
Soon
>>11787407I get that it's novel to have Lego Pokémon, but the cost differential from this to a 'real' eevee from Jazwares or Blokees is insane.
>>11787407>$260 setNo thanks
>>11787403haven't all anniversary years been the same? There's never more than a few new plush + small figures which is just what this year is going to have. There's def been more food and other non toy related marketing stuff though. Hersheys, Goldfish, Pop Tarts, Happy Meals, Target collab items
>>11787418But premium Lego bricks, other brands are just cheap clones that fall apart
What is the best Wooper merch?
>>11787568How can any Wooper merch be better than others? A plushie is a plushie. A small figure is a small figure. A card is a card. Just buy whatever you like.
>>11787592Based
>>11787403I guess depending on who you ask the Lego stuff was a big deal even though it wasn't labeled 30th like the Tomy stuff. The 30th moncolle sets would've been cool if we actually got the new starters as the previous ones are just rereleases. Since the new game isn't coming out this year we're also not really getting new trailers and reveals so it feels kinda dead from that front.
>>11787407Got delayed to october
>>11787403Anniversaries suck, because it means silver recolors are some other useless thing. Last anniversary was during the Detective Pikachu movie days, and they just stuck to one wave. We also got those silver vinyl selects anyway, but that didnt get in the way
>>11788179Jazzwares has done those dumb static selects almost every year. Not just anniversary years. It started with the silver ones for the 25th and went to see through figs, metallic, pearly and now glittery for the 30th
>$109.99
Is there a release date for the Select Blastoise yet?
>>11787550I bought some Chinese Bootlego sets for like $2 of the kind that MSRP at Target for $20 and, once they get 'retired,' scalpers sell for mini-fortunes and one of them has fallen apart even though I have moved it (carefully) twice in the past 4-5 months. It's sitting in a bag about 90% complete right now till I decide whether to take it apart or make space for it.
>>11789169>has NOT fallen apart
>>11789112I've heard late september early october. M-Lucario, Blastoise, Incineroar and Mewtwo.
>>11789194Thanks. Was hoping Blokees would beat them to the punch, but it's seeming like that line might be dead.
>>11789211Apparently the Chinese government got mad at some vendor who did some promotional pop up with Pokemon at some Japanese shrine, they Red Army got all bent out of shape and either Blokees needs to give up the Pokemon license or they are just laying low with anything Pokemon at the moment, as far as new products, announcements, etc. It was in the previous Blokees thread.
>>11789105>$100+meh
>>11789393its lego of course it would be expensive like all other sets have been for many years now
>>11787441That's even worse

>>11786680Testing out my gym leader collection with acrylic stands figures
>>11789602I was wondering around one of the suburbs near my metro area that has a large southeast asian population that settled in california - besides some good restaurants, there's an entire mall with different places that I was hoping to get a snorlax model kit, ideally the blokees but I would have settled for something else that was cheap, cute and a good sized everything was so fucking overpriced (except for popmarts shitty figurines) so that the best value was a bandai and fuck if I was going to buy that for $150+

>>11791180Jakks Battle Dome>>11791101Where?

>>11793001I dont like how it's chin breaks the symmetry from the top...unless the jaw is articulated secretly

>>11793161They ARE cute in a weird way. They just arent worth owning compared to Construx
Did that big Tyrantrum ever come out?
>>11794137yep not in the states tho. the cheapest it ever gets is like 40-50$ for the US customers on amazon
>>11794137>>11794154This is what I did. I have the worst luck with favorites. Can't wait to miss Select Garchomp again
Select zoroark when?
Lol didn't this just come out? Didn't realize these figures you basically had to pounce on them immediately now.Shit is already out of stock at all targets around me, and online. Scizor still seems to be everywhere though.
>>11795083Seriously? I didn't buy it because the ones they had in store all had splitting seams or paint rubs all over...
>>11795159>splitting seamsYeah every single one at my Target (and there were like 12) had that issue.
>>11795083Yea I also noticed Scizor was a slow mover. Thought it would be a bit more popular. The Gallade and Armarouge from last wave were also less popular from what I saw.
>>11795200>The Gallade and ArmarougeTo be fair those figures are actually shit, it has little to do with the characters themselves. Gallade is pile of loose, flimsy joints and Armarouge has super limited articulation for what should be a really easy design to give articulation to (see the Blokees).
>>11795200scizor is too big and from what I saw at my target a majority of them were packaged in a way where the arms are bent to the point of breakage.
>>11795159Yea it didn't seem to be as well recieved as the other Charizards so I dragged my balls. I remember getting the black one at a local Target in December and I think he was out for months by that point. I didn't expect this one to sell out. I have a feeling he'll come back in stock, but with all the shitty QC I'd rather pick it out it in person to see what I'm buying.i reckon Target ordered a lot less stock of this guy, might line up with their plans of reducing toys, video games, exercise stuff that they announced a couple months back.
>>11795433all the scalpers buying all the exclusive Target items from that drop bought up the Charizards that same week. They left most stores with just Scizors left. They restocked online again like a week after and that stock sold out again too.
>>11795433>i reckon Target ordered a lot less stock of this guyNo they didn't. All the stores had 8-12 of each Charizard and Scizor. Then they restocked online after that initial sell out too. It was just the scalpers who got to them.
>I love buying low-quality crap
>>11795438>>11795440Lol when did scalpers start targeting these I'm not talking about people selling them above MSRP long after they've been out, but literally buying to flip immedietly.
It's not lost on me the only thing fully stocked at target is the hygiene products
>>11796202It was just this time since scizor and charizard released the same day as the Target drop and the figures were placed on that wall. The scalpers bought up all the charizards because charizard.
>>11796225I just don't think Charizard would smell like mangos
>>11796368I bought them for the attached Keychains, it's mango forward with a bottom note of coconut which I do not enjoyBulbasaur on the other hand think of juicy apples and pears
>>11792876At least the middle one can properly flap its wings... god I hope Blokees gives him a figure...
>>11792876The furthest one on the right reminds me of a crappy Yu Gi Oh model kit figure I got once... Some birdy thing.
>>11794254I believe it was rumored/on a website listing way back when like the line was first starting.>>11795083You can probably still find some in store. Stock may not be listed right online.>>11795200Most stores have a ton of Scizor on the shelves. It looks good once you take it out but a lot of these figures from this wave have factory defects. Scizor in particular has very thin arms and the way its packaged makes it easy for them to break.
And so it begins
>Jolteon used tundershock>Charizard fainted
I wish Tomy kept making the lil figurines. I had an idea to do like, a small box display of evolutionary lines in their natural habitats using the Tomy figures.
>>11795299The size is pretty good, don't think its too big.
>>11799988Gardevoir used Karate Chop
>>11799898You mean like these? They still do make them as moncolle in Japan.
>>11799988Right. Scizor is literally the perfect scale for figmas and other things that scale.
>>11800011Yeah yeah! I was thinking about like, making a little forrest scene in a small wooden square, fake grass, fake trees, and putting like the Venusaur line in it.
look at this little fella
Finally I was able to snag this ded monke Too bad it's basically 2poa and very small. At least it goes well with the L class blokees
>>11800235AI? Hot.
>>11800273nah
>>11799798>>11799803barf. We lost Mega Construx for this.
Cute figure, superb detail. But once again all the fun ends almost instantly after unboxing it. 4 points of articulation and it can barely stand. Jazwares figures are props for actual action figures
>>11800382the 3" ones are all like that by design. They all only have a few poa and usually only small movements. action figures are the 6" ones
>>11800382Not everything needs to be Blokees or Marvel Legends. I'm just happy to have anything as long as it moves that much and can stand up
>>11800387It's a fully evolved pokemon, it feels dumb that he can barely pose or stand up at allEvery brand has it's own cheap line for kids with decent enough joints + accesories: Marvel, star wars, ninja turtles, minecraft all of them. It's just Jazwares' Pokemon offering the same old quality + useless joints + zero accesories or anything at all. If anything Blokees stood out because they released Pokemon toys with the play value that modern toys are expected to have and they even did that with the ones that cost $8 not just for the $30 charizard
Pokepla Dialgiaand shiny ver of Mega Rayquaza.
>>11800420They also did this dog in their 30M line.Zacian & Zamazenta might not be far off.
>>11800390Bad wares ...
>>11800011Blastoise looking like a completely different Pokemon evolutionary line for some reason.
>>11800496Because it originally was.
>>11800522Just really sticks out with these toys. This Blastoise also has 2 toes while having the newer cannon design. I wonder if they used the same reference picture as the original D Arts Blastoise?
>>11800382I never noticed this whole time that the design only had a cuff on one arm. Thought the figure was missing one but it's actually supposed to be like that.
>>11800382like the other person said. It's an $8 toy. What do you expect? Joints all over and super articulation on every single figure that's a unique sculpt? You're never gonna get that at the price range now days.
>>11800390>but Blokees did...that's different since they are model kits, you need to assemble yourself. They are from a small company with less overhead as jazzwares. And they are not officially distributed for international markets so their royalties the company has to give to tpci is gonna be wayyyyy less than others
>>11800661>>11800663As I said, go look another $8-10 brand, they have functional limbs and accesories. Blokees is not the high standard you think it is. Annihilape could have easily had hand swivels and ball jointed legs. Then add a simple purple effect for the rage fist
>>11800678its hard to compare things equally. Pokemon has notoriously high royalties compared to most other companies so toy companies have to fork over so much more than they have to for other brands. TMNT is notoriously one of the cheapest brands to make products for. And they let any and every company who wants to make products, make products. The entire TMNT brand was sold a few years ago for a measly 60 million. The entire brand. Jazzwares probably pays more than half that amount every single year in royalties to the Pokemon owners. Its also known that fewer people are into articulated figures for Pokemon. Most just want plush and other stuff. Even the super articulated line failed when it was at all stores and now is only a target exclusive and many figures still don't sell much. they can def be putting a few more joints into the 3" figs but even with a few more, the posing would still be super limited so at that point they probably feel it isn't even worth it.
>>11800235murrica Pikachu
>>11800390>It's a fully evolved pokemon, it feels dumb that he can barely pose or stand up at allit still does as shown in the game. Also it's $8
Treecko Select when?
>>11801762You mean Sceptile? Yes. I want the Mega too. We need more Select Megas while ZA and Champions are still hot
>>11801762
>>11801800>>11801803No, I want a large Treecko with many joints
>>11801800Still need Blaziken but really would love all 3 of the regular Hoenn starters. They should finish up the Johto ones too.
>>11801819no, thats stupid. they have enough common sense to not do starters the same size as fully evolved pokemon in the articulated line
>>11801868It's not stupid, don't impose your opinion on me. I have the right to have my expectations and not worry about the scale
>>11801868plamo does it and it's not a problem
>>11801995since when do they? they only have maybe 1 articulated starter and it's pikachu right?
>>11802711
>>11802788Select Flareon, Vaporeon, Sylveon, Jolteon, Glaceon, Leafeon, Espeon, and Umbreon would be interesting ideas.
>>11802788Still waiting on the Froakie of this line...
>>11802711Not articulated. Those are statues aside form pikachu.
Anyone know if there are any .75-1 inch trainer figures to go with these? I picked up a handful second hand recently and I love them
Saw jazwares' pidgeotto today but it had half of the eye print scratched what the fuck
>>11803494>.75-1 inch trainer figuresyou mean these? They also made Ash and such last gen
>>11803675No idea, I don't know anything about Pokemon toys. That does look like about what I'm looking for, sorta, yeah.
>>11803636
>>11803636They lack any kind of QC.
>>11803760>>11803764Please make a compilation of the flops produced by Bad wares
>>11803764It sucks because I really want to have the og ash team and I just can't find another one
I am new to the Jazzwares items and theres some Pokemon I am surprised to learn they have never made figure for while other companies have made lots. Gardevoir, Goodra, Ninetails, Ho-Oh, Bellybolt and Gholdengo have nothing from Jazzwares. Are there any hints some of these will be made soon?
Quality control.
>>11804072missing paint
dear god, kill me now this is disgusting
Luxray
>>11803494Take me back
>>11804877Nothing hinted in terms of those specific ones you asked about. Their selection is pretty wide reaching and nothing is really impossible so any of them could be made at some point. The pokemon that have had part of their evolution line already made as a figure are a little more likely as they like to finish evo lines if the whole line is reasonably popular.
>>11804877Anime Expo and SDCC are next month. only other news source is the Jazwares Pokemon wiki. Also I miss when Tomy had an annual catalog
>>11805080>Pikachu with random archery range and a giant head of himself >Squirtle with...a burger? And a car?>Mew + air hovering pokeball vehicle ??What the fuck is even this Couldn't they add clasic elements from the ip? Or just made them cheaper without those irrelevant things Why not focus on them having more brick built effects for their attacks
>>11805213That's a valid point about completing evolutionary lines. It makes it seem like a 4" or 6" Gardevoir or Goodra is more possible then. They are doing a vinyl figure for some evolutions too so I wouldn't mind if that is where a Ninetails got made since it could look nice in a sitting pose. >>11805251>Anime Expo and SDCCI forgot there was a summer event too! I was thinking it was only the toy faire in the spring to get news out of. SDCC is coming soon in July. I looked at past Anime expo and they never showed Pokemon items there so I think SDCC is the better place for news>Jazwares Pokemon wikiThis place was helpful to me to check for which release was the most recent for various figures. It saved me lots of money hunting only newer packs or waiting to get a reprint rather than paying more for older packs for specific figures. There wasn't many place for news or rumors on there tho
>>11803636>>11803701This kind of problem is all too common.
Oh no
>>11805257Reminds me of those old dbz figures that came with guns. You'd think someone from Pokemon would tell them that's a little weird.
new Raichu and Pichu moncolles
>>11805322An another Scizor
Went to 3 other walmarts and finally got a Pidgeotto. Now I hope someone makes a kingler
>>11805480Well done
>>11803764Had this on a Jakks Bowser and Mattel Gallimimus years ago.
>>11805480at Walmart? You can't be in the US I guess cuz they never get the single packs or new three packs
>>11804345If youre just buying his team, you dont need all the evos
Here's May checklist update. This is what came out this past month:-6" Select Scizor and Mega Charizard Y at Targets. There should still be Scizors hanging around at most but Char is gone.-4.5" W23 (Pinsir, Aerodactyl, Greninja, Toxtricity) came and went at Targets too. -Clip n Go Belt W21 (one Fenekin set, one Pika set) is in stock at some UK Amazon sellers-4" Vinyl International W14 (Raichu, Flareon) is out at various European stores-4" Vinyl International W15 (Umbreon) is showing up from some US Mercari sellers so it's out there somewhere.-Clip n Go W21 (Buizel, Minccino, Swablu) is in stock at some UK Amazon sellers and is hitting some Books A Million stores but beware the $17 price there. -30th Anniversary multi pack (Mewtwo, Mew, Pika, Jiggly, Pichu) and the 3" Glitter W1 is out at Australia Big W stores
>>11804987There is also some missing paint here lol
>>11806044>flop
>>11805123Nothing's stopping you from collecting them, anon :,)
Printing the eyes correctly isn't that complicated, and yet we often see this kind of mistake...
>>11806246What about legs?
>>11806305We dont talk enough about the paint that flakes off very easily in certain places
Silly face
>>11804072
he was the funniest one
>>11806566How does that even happen, they're always so tightly packaged in those trays.
So are you buying the lego sets? I remember mega being mocked in here
>>11806738So I'm not a brick guy. Before any Lego sets were revealed I was open to getting something depending on what they did. So far there's nothing that clicks with me so won't be getting any for now. I never got any Mega besides one of the small pokeball sets near the end when they got clearanced. At one point I was about to get the Mega motion Pikachu that was being discounted. Thought it was pretty nice but ended up not. The Lego equivalent of the big Pikachu didn't interest me at all.
>>11806738Nah. I was kinda interested in the pokemon center and badges, but they fucked up with making those exclusive and of course they're being resold for absurd prices now.Only mega construx one I got is Kadabra due lack of a figure.
Chiiiicken
>>11806246We like to buy low quality.
>>11807734I know we're only buying these because we dont have a choice. It's just as much other companies' fault for not giving us one. We just keep getting Fail World, and whatever else Blokees and Ling Dong bother to make
>>11806670Yet it happens
>>11807782>deluxe action
What's a good cheap anime girl figure you could use as a trainer? Preferably something that looks like an Ace or athletic one, but nothing that's 60 bucks. Just looking for inexpensive with decent enough articulation.
>>11808252>good cheap anime girl figure>decent enough articulation>but nothing that's 60 bucksYou can't have it all pal. If $60 is too expensive for you, you're in the wrong hobby. Maybe some Bandai Anime Heroes which are about $25 but the only girls are super recognizable ones like Sakura and Nami
>>11808253Fair, and 60 isn't too much. I just don't want something for random photos or display that's the price of something I'd normally want far more, you know? So I guess decent articulation isn't the right way to say it. I mean good enough that they can throw a pokeball, maybe sit, that sorta thing.
>>11808256No, there's almost no anime girl figures with any kind of articulation that is outside of the import lines like figma or shf. So you're looking at minimum $50-60 or more for all those
>>11808252Figma has tons of generic school girls, even some original ones in the "figma styles" line. That's basically what everyboy uses here as trainers>Idolmaster >yuru camp>Love live>Little armory>Persona >K-On>Haruhi suzumiyaBut yeah you are gonna have to spent at least $50-$60 for them unless you found someone selling them locally
>>11808252Well just throwing out ideas but around 60 you could get one of the Dandandan Momo figuarts. She looks generic enough in either the pink top or the newer casual one. If you want to lean into the actual character could give her a psychic team.
>>11808296>>11808289>>11808352Thanks for all the suggestions. I guess since my favorite types are ghost/dark/poison a goth type of girl would be fitting.
>>11808369Go to mandarake, sort by price and look up every toy line with girls.
>>11808369If that's the case it might be worth just paying up and getting Marnie instead of buying a random character. It'll be more it in the end since it's an actual trainer.
>>11808252>>11808296It's hard to use anime girls as trainers because they're already based on actual characters, even though there's nothing illegal about repurposing them. Fortnite had some nice generic characters though
>>11808369Are there any model kits that might work?
bikachu
>>11806566>>11806670>>11807782This manufacturing defect appears to occur on the battle feature figures.
>>11809116>manufacturingMore like packaging defect.Pushed it so hard into the tray they broke off and then left it there as they sealed it.
>>11808775Blokees Miku figures are at least $40 but they're very tall. 30Minute Sisters kits are $30-40 but all have a mecha or robotic theme to them which don't seem like trainers. At that point after shipping the figure, just spend a few more bucks on a Figma that has the much more similar school girl or trainer look that you're going for.The Hasbro Fortnite figs aren't a bad suggestion but their hands all suck so you'd need to find them new hands to hold a poke ball or be in a gesturing pose rather than a grip pose.
>>11809138I'll add to this, there's 30MP which covers anime IPs and you could maybe look at Figure-Rise too.Model kits tend to lean closer to 1/10 than 1/12 though.Sousai Shojo Teien, Arcanadea, Plamatea, Plamax, Frame Arms, Puni Mofu..I don't mind putting pokemon next to non-OCs though, as long as they sorta fit. Fanart's been doing it for ages, so why not?
>>11806305
>>11808252You can still get Marnie's figma for 50$ on sites like JP Mercari.
>>11805639>Had me looking at this pic for like 5 minutes to find Bulbasaur like it's Where's Waldo
Are there any articulated Mimikyu's? Articulated "neck" so you can have the fake head flopped over or straight, little arms you can have coming out of the bottom?
>>11810782Shodo. It has a removable arm piece too
>>11810787That's perfect, thank you!
>>11810787>>11810800The only Shorto worth getting
>>11810669Lol found him. I recall an earlier version of this setup had Torkoal and Snivy but they seem to either be gone or really hidden.
>>11810855I intended to replace Torkoal with Jazwares, and a good Snivy. but ive yet to have neither
>>11786680Anyone know if the Starmobile toys are being sold in japan yet?
LOLHere's your Lego minifigures bro
>>11812835This is so ass.
>>11812835Makes sense, most of the pokemon look like they have down syndrome so why not the trainers too?
>>11807055Y'know what would be cool? If those pokeballs used smart bricks so you could throw them at the pokemon and it'd make sounds of it trying to capture them and failing or succeeding, that'd be fun for kids.
>>11812903well, yeah. It's a minifig, which are ass
Are there any good free standing Weezing figures with a smoke base that'd scale with the Jazwares stuff? I'd like this one if it wasn't for the purple base and nameplate.
>>11813764can you just pop off the base
>>11813764>Are there any good free standing Weezing figures yes>with a smoke basemaybe the one you posted anyway at the moment. Maybe you can cut the purple base out
>>11812835This look so bootleg except that a bootleg would actually have a new hair piece for zinnia
>>11813777Maybe? I've never bought anything from Funism, if I can detach it then this one seems like a good alternative.>>11813778>Maybe you can cut the purple base outI'm terrfied of modifying stuff. This is mostly inspired by me loving the Tomy figure but wanting something a bit. You know, not-one-inch.
>>11813817it looks like you're just popping it off the base, with heat if needed. It also looks like it can stand if all the smoke is even enough
>>11813764Bad wares might look out of place next to it because of their poor quality
