Is Amazon ever going to restock the Scale Shark booster
This thing's gonna get scalped.
>>11794814Oh great, I know what my niece and nephew are getting me for my birthday... again... star wars beys.
>>11794822hey man at least you get an elevate out of it
>>11794842That's true, and I DO love me some Rhino remolds.
I will never not love this guy and I refuse to disassemble it for custom combos. This guy stays stock like I'm an anime character and he is my signature bey.
>>11794766They have been pretty regularly, but they sell out immediately. Some people in my area have been buying them by the dozen every time they restock, so blame people like that for the dogshit availability.
>>11795497>tfw I skipped on the waffle king set I feel bad about this and sharkscale set most of all.
>hey guys Beylocker has all the parts you'll need, use my promo code>they're always sold out
>>11796163The hasbro waffle set is gonna be identical to the takara one. So just wait a few months.
>>11796451what the hell even happened to that it was available in various places around europe like months ago do we actually know when it's "supposed" to come to the US?
>>11796163>>11796451>>11797091I had mixed feelings about buying a set from AliExpress for 40EUR but now I'm happy about pulling the trigger back then.
So I went to 2 tournaments for the first time this weekend, it was pretty fun. I need to get some good beyblades though i won once at the first one and twice at the 2nd one. There was a surprising amount of women at the 2nd one
>>11794766I was at a con and a guy was selling those
>>11794814>TWO whole ass "new" beys>they're rhino horn retrainsI'd have taken ANYTHING else.
>>11798777Even two more wizard arrows?
>>11798804I'd take two more Helm Knights. And I already HAVE two.
Why the hell hasn't the bx-10 been restocked on Amazon? Takara is still producing them, and they were selling.Hasbro better fucking restock them.
>>11799074There's apparently a stock shortage even in Japan right now
>>11798777Wtf I thought the nusnotrooper was a sphinxWhy is hasbro so blatantly shitty at their job?
>>11798777At least one of them has Elevate.
>>11794748is that longneck chip metal? Are most CX sets switching to metal chips now?
>>11799608No, it's plastic.
>>11799608>Why the hell hasn't the bx-10 been restocked on Amazon? Takara is still producing them, and they were selling.Only Valkyrie and Emperor are metal, no others have been announced that I'm aware of.
>>11799257Nah, if you look at the spaces between the bumps you can see the similarities. I personally don't have anything against Rhino Horn, I own one AND Shinobi Knife, BUT:>already small and weak bey shape>uses SAME shape for TWO whole beys that supposedly come in the same packThat's just taking the piss at this point. I wonder if some exec saw two kids arguing about who gets to keep what in the two-packs and decided it would be best to just make them similar. >>11799602Elevate deez nuts I mean yeah, it's a good part isn't it? I'm a collector, not really a compfriend.
Has anyone found a good build for Dran Strike yet?
>>11799869>That's just taking the piss at this point.I agree, Hasbro lives to embarass themselves these days.
People were glazing hasbro when they were doing the bare minimum the first 1-1.5 years of them doing Beyblade X when it was obvious from the start they would fumble and return to their usual shitty ways
>>11794814Is that fucking S T A R W A R S ?! I LOVE STARTWHORES!
>>117998829-60 Jolt feels great since it's such a heavy bey it doesn't extreme dash too too fast even with jolt
>>11801069Distribution being fucked is the norm for Hasbro, but Takara has only tightened their grip of Hasbro's balls in the past 6 months to try to regain the brand's goodwill after they realized hasbro wasn't trying.
>>11801069People had hope because Hasbro weren't going to bullshit around and use their own molds and lop off 95% of the gimmicks like they did with Burst. And it's true, for X they didn't do that, but as you've said they instead fucked up distributing the actual Beyblades. Has anybody liked Hasbro for anything recently? Outside here I know one other person that'll go on whole tirades against the company.
>>11801069I don't remember anybody glazing hasbro in the early X days, but rather glazing TT for tardwrangling them into submission. but you can clearly tell they aren't going down without a fight considering their fucked up distribution, the way they keep replacing every ratchet with the X5 ones, etc.>>11801534as a former MTGfag I could go on for days myself
>>11801534MTG players, DnD players, you name it if Hasbro has their hands in it the fanbase hates them.
>>11801069>>11801555This. Distribution aside, we've yet to see Hasbro do anything with X as extreme as their Burst or late-MFB releases.
>>11801555Hasbro fucked Burst so hard that I still see people telling you to buy Takara instead of Hasbro because they are nerfing X beys in some mysterious way behind the scenes.>"the metal is more brittle!"Same factory, same metal.>"the molds are worse!"Same molds and at times Hasbro gets the mold fixes first like Benis Wing.>"worse quality!Same quality control. If they got Transformers QC these would be safety hazards. It's wild how hard they lost the trust of the customers.
>Take bahamut blitz>Re-arrange the over and assist blades to fill out the gaps in the blitz blade while also having each of their imbalances in different spots (roughly a triangle)>Use 5-60 with the nubs aligned to the points on the assist blade>Put on hexaIt's a decent enough defense type due to the weight, too. Also feels more like Burst bahamut's gimmick of having the layer fill itself out. It's basically a circle now.
>>11802795At this point, Takara Tomy should just reclassify Hexa as a defense bit.
>>11803384Seriously. We also need more defensive bits but they keep kneecaping the ones we'd get. Merge would have been great if it wasn't "Lol tall" and had those nubs on the side.
>>11802458That looks pretty cute, I want it.
>>11794814Today I will remind them that Rhino is the most reused retool, and also they just copy pasted that nusnowtrooper from the stormtrooper they made already.Maximum lazy shitbirds over at Hasbro.
>>11805291I would really love to know if rhino horn is just the first CAD file they have on hand and the guy just goes "yeah fuck it whatever" or it's more scientific than that, like, "this shape uses the least metal and it looks interesting enough, (it doesn't) let's keep using it to cut costs".What IS the lightest X attack ring anyway? There must be an explanation. Also that Obi-wan looks really cool, is it original or is it another retrain?
>>11806395>Also that Obi-wan looks really cool, is it original or is it another retrain? It's a Knight Lance retool.
>>11806645Not having the "Lance" heads protruding upwards makes it look more sleek (but probably lighter). Either way I like it. It's a shame it's an Obi-wan, I'd rather have a property Bit Beast design on my beys.
>>11805291That Chewie bey slaps harder than it needed to; my guess is Unicorn retool. The sculpted Greivous arms are a delightful touch as well. Most of the time they fucking waste the chance to sculpt anything cool on these IP-slop beys.
>>11806765Apparently it's just an unbalanced Shelter Drake retool, which seemingly gives it great smash attack potential.
>>11807234Ah yeah, you're right. The plastic insert gives it away. If I see this thing in the wild I might have to pick it up, because I love me some asymmetrical blades.
Good afternoon friends. Earlier today I happened across some Beyblades on a casual stroll through the dollar store of all places, so I grabbed them on a whim. I don't know how to go about checking for any tournaments or anything, but I'm probably too old to show up at one and not seem out of place anyhow. I did look online and saw there was a huge resurgence happening right now though, and there are a ton of different pieces and specs and combos to do, and I think I might throw together 1-2 meta blades for fun but I don't know what most of the numbers mean. The two I got were Lance Knight 4-80HN and Wand Wizard 5-70DB. Are either of these any good as a starting point?
>>11808309>I don't know what most of the numbers meanin the middle? that's for the ratchet. it signifies how many bumps they have and their height, for example 4-80 has 4 bumps and is 80 mm tall.>Are either of these any good as a starting point?pretty sure WizRod is still meta to this day, yeah. Lance Knight not so much. If you go to walmart/target they'll probably have Flame Cerberus (or whatever Hasbro renamed it to) and that one was pretty good iirc.
>>11794814>>11801125>>11805291Does anyone else feel like the existence of these fortnite-tier beys cheapen the "real" stuff?>>11802458Also, why can't Hasbro actually create interesting looking retools? Like color schemes that are actually cool or themes that actually fit and serve a niche
>>11808325Personally I don't think it cheapens the "real" ones but then again I've never seen any of them for sale, probably because I'm not American. Those Disney beyblades are probably never going to be sold here, but even if they were they can be easily ignored if you're not interested. In fact most of them aren't going to be sold here. Finding new ones for sale is like drawing blood from a stone. Shops only had the four base models for months on end, and then they all started getting drip-fed new sets. I went to a great big supermarket in one of the busiest malls in the country, and one year later the exact same Lance Knight beys were still there where I left them. No new releases whatsoever. And then suddenly everyone gets new, different shipments so I have to run from store to store to see what's up. A store near me had Fox Brush, Fort Hornet, Wiggle Kraken and that Stag bey during Christmas time, but come January they were just gone. Not sold, just gone. Then they put up old twin-packs for months and now they put the CX beys back up. It's mental. On the other hand I can't complain. At least they're still in shelves. Bakugan was shot in the head.
>>11808314>and is 80 mm tall.8mm, 80mm would be fucking insane lmao
>>11809456>9-65GBIt's just pathetic at this point.
>>11809466What's the lore
>>11809687that gear ball is among some of the worst tips to be invented and Hasbeen slaps it on everything
>>11809687Hasbro has been putting 3-85 and trash Bits on just about every new release or retool they've put out in the past year. They're clearly trying to save money by reusing the same things over and over again.
>>11809466>>9-65GBFirst of all that's a pretty insane range, secondly the image is only 363KB
>>11808325Yes, it feels like a cop out. IDK how much money or outsiders the collab beys bring in but it feels like all the money on retools and parts nobody wants could be used on better/new stuff.
>wife hates the sound of my beyblades>dog hates the sound of my beyblades and has an autistic doggy freak out whenever I spin oneI just want to spin my beyblades for God's sake
What is that long launcher I see everyone using in videos online?
I managed to find a Flame Cerberus in the wild today. The wall ball bit looks great! I also hear that this assist blade is a must-have?? I was considering just gifting this to a friend who likes puppers, but how good are these parts overall? If they're highly competitive I might just keep it for myself.
>>11811042The assist blade is the only good part.
>>11811040Do you mean the grip? Be more specific.
>>11811058Well it's not the top, and it's not the cord, so of the three pieces I would assume they were talking about the grip.
>>11811058>>11811061I'm a Big Black Victory Grip Launcher enjoyer myself.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZA4kepl3EmMBeyblade is finally popular around the world now!... but at what cost?
>>11811333>finallyIt always was. Now it's "popular" in the sense of social media tards having to constantly tweet about it leading to stuff like this.
>>11811042>puppers
>>11812270The exclamation point and double question mark should've tipped you off before that.
>>11812274A good detective works with all the evidence.
>>11812270>>11812564>>11812274Not even true; shit deduction skills. Too lazy to reverse search the Doujinshi image to reveal it's from a hetero artist know for a series called BASTARD!! Double exclamation was a reference to that, but the real facts evaded your detection.
>>11814878OK?Nobody cares. What's your favourite Beyblade? Mine is Golem Rock because I'm jewish.
>>11815111>not because it's one of the best blades in the game
Is Shark Scale ever going to show up in stores? How long do Cerberus Flame and Leon Fang have to hang on the racks untouched before something new comes along
>>11811871Burst era tournaments usually only had like 30 kids participating. nowadays BBX tournaments can go up to 100 adults even on casuals. BBX is certainly more popular to the point that scalpers are taking advantage of it.
>>11815338i never saw our local toy store sell those, even the Wizard Rod which they claim are far more common since it appears on random boosters too.
>>11815386I wish there was this kind of action over here. Beyblade (or any kind of social activity) is pretty dead in this country. Of course it doesn't help that all our teenage demographic is gypsies and swarthy complexions. I'd love to run a tourney but without a spot and competitors it would be a waste of time and money.>>11815338I wish we even got those over here. Best I can do is Antler Stag. We're so slow to get new Beys I have to do a double take whenever I see something I don't recognise.
>>11815394This guy again. I just went to the store that had new CXs during Christmas. Still the same stuff there. They still have Chain Incendio vs Green Wizard Arrow double packs. Situation is dire.
Glory Valkyrie Low Flat
Heaven's Ring 0-80 Disc Spike
Drake Brave Gravity 4-70 Ignition
>>11816979Cool as that looks, isn't that just a Dran Brave retool? Is the assist ring different?
>>11816987Gravity is a new part.
>>11816978Impact Drake just now getting a reprint is criminal. And Shark Scale (or about 6 other blades) should be in there instead of Ghost Circle/Reaper/Flame. They handle the random boosters so poorly.
>>11817132>And Shark Scale (or about 6 other blades) should be in there insteadEspecially because the UX-15 set is minimum $150 aftermarket now and the Hasbro release is nowhere in sight. Some communities in Asia are temp-banning Shark Scale and Wizard Rod because there's just not enough in production to go around. Literally no one wants another Brave, or Reaper, or Ghost Circle recolor right now.
>>11817176>the UX-15 set is minimum $150 aftermarket nowFuck! Good thing I got mine on release because holy shit that's absurd. And I'll be needing a new Under Flat at some point and at this point I'm convinced Hasbro just decided to skip Shark Scale.
>>11817357Check ebay if you want a laugh. There's some up for $300, it's ridiculous.
>>1181738063 cents delivery? What a ripoff.Anyway, like Leonard Nemoy said, "everything is worth what its purchaser will pay for it". If you could buy an 85% winrate at a tournament, wouldn't you? I'm pretty sure the more competitive minded people would think that's a steal. While I do collect beys and would like to have at least one of each, that's a bit much for me, even if I'd also like to have that Dinosaur too.
>>11815111>OK?>Nobody cares.Well naturally they did, for "deducing" that poster is something that they don't approve of.To answer your question I'd say one of my favorites to use are Knight's Shield on taper has been an old standby and with a 4-80 ratchet hasn't let my side. Painted Tyranno Beat is fun as fuck to use too.
>>11811042Is Flame Cerberus supposed to be rare? I feel like my local Walmarts are littered with them and Leon Fang lately.
>>11817933It was when it was a Takara Tomy Random Booster prize last year. The need for Wheel came and went way before Hasbro released it, that's why stores are fully stocked with them now.
>>11815111Mine is Gust Bat because I'm Chinese
>>11815111I haven't even tried it but I just picked up Rhino Reaper. Aesthetics are off the charts, but usefulness remains to be proven.
Hasbro retools coming to Japan.Kraken Wriggle S3-70OStag Antler B2-60DHornet Fort R7-60T
>>11818410Of course they get metal coat versions. I had to order the Hornet Fort online to get that 7-60, I've still never seen it in stores.
>>11816979Is this supposed to be Dragoon Fighter?
>>11818187I'd be a lot more excited about rhino reaper if I didn't already have both Fort Hornet and its Incendio counterpart.
I love my wife Multi Nanairo.
I need an attacker for my deck, should I get a cobalt dragoon or saber samurai? I'm leaning towards Samurai because I like the look of the launcher better.
>>11819819Shark Scale, Wyvern Hover, or Phoenix Wing are your best options. Dragoon's only good if you have Elevate to put it on.
>>11819895I'm not going to lie I really only want this for an alternative launcher to the vanilla ones, but getting a "good" attack blade is a nice bonus.
New to Beyblade, I only got a Tide Whale bey that I picked up today. What other ones should I get?
>>11820729Whichever ones you like. Unless you're going to find a tournament near you, in that case you should get Wizard Rod.
>>11820819Yeeeah but the ones I like the look of are terrible. Dark Perseus and that honeycomb looking one for example, also Wriggle Kraken which would pair well thematically with my Tide Whale. Is the Bite Croc + Sting Unicorn combo pack good?
>>11820830Bite Croc is just Keel Shark retooled, which means it's a great attacker, and Sting Unicorn is a pretty decent ring depending on which side hits and when. I'd say they're well worth it, considering I got the pack myself.
I don't care anymore, I'm gonna get Clock Mirage, I don't care if it bursts when it's sneezed at!
>>11819320she's so cool!
>Find Wizard Rod in Dollar store>Fuck it I'll make one meta bey, I don't even compete but it would be fun>Phoenix Wing 9-60GF on Amazon $50>Fuck it, we ball>"Ball">Shit I have the wrong one>Silver Wolf 3-80FB>Also $50This was supposed to be a silly nostalgia purchase, I wasn't expecting to get invested into it. I swear I'll buy just this one more then I'm out.
>>11819895>ElevateI'm still not up with the lingo, is elevate the name of the ratchet?
>>11821206Elevate is the Bit that comes on Whale Wave. Ratchets don't have names, they're all identified by X-XX numbers.
>>11821100>$50Where do you live? The red Phoenix Wing is $25 at Walmart/Target, Silver Wolf is $15>I swear I'll buy just this one more then I'm out.You think that.
>>11821212>Where do you live?Nowhere near a walmart or target. I'm in somewhat rural canada, so I just ordered on Amazon.
>4-55A instead of 9-80K>9-65Shttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BmnVvUR4Gtk
What do the letters at the end of the names mean?
>>11821321snib snab :DD
>>11821326>What do the letters at the end of the names mean? It's the first letter of each word in the Bit's name.Naming schemes are usually>[Creature] [Part of creature / action it's performing] [Sides of Ratchet-Height of Ratchet] [Bit abbreviation]So "Wizard Rod 5-70DB" is the Blade's name, a 5-sided, 7mm tall Ratchet, and the Disk Ball Bit.Part names are getting more complicated, but most of them follow this structure.
>>11821326Depends on the bey.If it's a BX or UX bey, the last letter refers to the bit(Ex: "Dran Sword 3-60F(Flat)")However, if it's a CX bey, an extra letter is placed between the main name and the ratchet+bit name to refer to the Assist Blade(Ex: "Wizard Arc R(Round) 4-55LO"). Now, recently, Takara Tomy released the "Expand" line that add another letter to the CX beys that refers to the Over Blade(Ex: "Knight Fortress G(Guard)V 8-70UN").
Is it possible to engage with the tourney scene if you live in a Yuropoor country?
What methods do you use to keep track of your beys and parts? I've only got four right now but I can see this getting crazy if I decide to buy more. I've got the Beyblade X app, but it seems more like a game than a catalogue.
>>11821714There's this crazy piece of tech called a piece of paper, you can write down anything you want on it.>but anon! When I'm going shopping for beyblades, I won't have the all-knowing piece of paper with me! It will be at home next to my beyblade collection There's this crazy piece of tech called a "notes app" on most smartphones. I use Keep on my android. I don't know what applefags use. You can write down separate lists for parts, and you can even add photos of the parts you have to cross-reference with new parts on store shelves.>but anon, that's still not what I want! I want an entire checklist of all available releases where I can check off what I have against a list of all possibilities That's trickier. With Hasbro releases and TT imports and fucky distribution, it's hard to know exactly what is available where and when. Your best bet is to check a fan wiki and make your own list.
>>11821633Yes there are some tournaments across Western and Central Europe. I'd check reddit or wbo, wbo's discord is pretty active and usually people have separate discord groups for their community. Also check game stores near you.
>>11821714>What methods do you use to keep track of your beys and parts?i don't keep track, almost all parts go into a storage case>Beyblade X app, but it seems more like a game than a catalogue.anon..... are you sure you got the right app
Anything decent here I should grab? I grabbed a sterling wolf and a two pack of beat Tyranno and knife Shinobi.
>>11822081get yourself a Golem Rock. I don't care that it's highly meta, Golems are the sickest mythological creature to me.
>>11822081I'm retarded and forgot the image
>>11822139Reaper Incendio (for the Kick bit) and mayhaps the Bite Croc for the launcher grip if you care
>>11822119This just came back in stock, is this the one you're talking about?
>>11822390Not that anon, but that is indeed the one they're referring to. Something to remember about Beyblade naming conventions, whatever they're called initially we reverse the words when they reach stateside. So Golem Rock/Rock Golem it's the exact same thing.
>>11821321Why does hasbro refuse to include good bits now? At least the simple ratchets I understand since they're cheaper to make, but surely bits are all about the same production cost?>>11822139I second reaper, kick really is that good, and since hasbro removed it from the crab 2 pack's leon it's the only option for it right now.The blue Phoenix is the second heavier version of the blade mold, and includes hexa, which you'll want for your wolf. Phoenix is also really solid to use kick on.I'd also recommend buster for the 1-60 ratchet.
>>11823027>Why does hasbro refuse to include good bits now?Because they fucking hate you and want you to die.
>>11821321>55>65A-at least it it has kick
>>11823414if only it actually did...seriously an unbuyable pack
>>11823658WAIT, I MISREAD. WHAT THE FUG.
>>11823670The white Kick is the one everyone likes because it matches everything. They're either so incompetent that they shouldn't have any rights over Beyblade, or they're being spiteful and removing parts on purpose. Ratchets are bad enough, but there's no reason to change good bits into bad ones. And it's not like they're just putting the blue Dran Buster Accel on it to reuse leftovers and save money, they made a new white one for it on purpose.
>>11822139I'd be copping that Buster Dran and Soar Pheonix
Canadian dollar stores have these four for 5 maplebucks each (not my pic). I haven't bought a beyblade since the originals as a kid. I picked up Knight because it was the coolest looking one and Wizard because it had the funky tip. How'd I do?
>>11824046You did good. Buster is a better attack ring than Knight is a defense ring but Wizard is OP. In the end, but the ones you like and make you happy.

Gemini is telling me to use Disc Ball on a Silver wolf 3-80. Is there something to this or is it as crazy as it sounds? For reference I have also suggested a hexa.
>>11824046I checked a few and no luck. How long have those been there? I prob missed put already.
>>11825311NTA but I've checked a dozen stores over the last few weeks and only a handful had any, but now they all have them in stock, and quite a number too. Chances are yours haven't come in yet. Keep in mind they only have the four to choose from (For now)
>>11825373Thanks I'll keep looking.
Are any of the OG blade re-releases worth going out of my way for? I want draciel purely for nostalgia but I wonder if any have good parts besides.
>>11825307Disc Ball and 3-80 are bad parts. Why are you listening to AI instead of looking up tournament results for successful combos?
>>11825422Honestly just to see what nonsense it would suggest.

>>11816975You think this will be worth the scalper price? I've seen it for like 49 bucks

>>11828437I've still never seen a Fox Brush in stores to this day.
