The guitar is accurate? anyway, glad she doesn't have these shitty print faces of Castoria
>>11801046Figma Buzzmod
>>11801048And of course, she's in the new scale, I have Shiburin, she's exactly 13cm tall.Let's see if more people post their bocchis in Xitter.
>>11800887>But okay I guess 14cm about which is 5.5 inches. Then that doesn't seem as big to me as everyone is saying... I was expecting Snail Shell size which I think are around 16cm/6.2inThe problem is Frieren is supposed to be a womanlet, 14cm is pretty big for a short character in japanese scale. From the SS girls I have, the biggest one is Aileen who is 15.8cm tall and the shorter is Grisa who is 14.5cm tall. So in my opinion she fits better with chink figures.
Other than OP, I guess I'm the only person posting here.Anyway, Toys Cabin will make 1/12 Fate/Stay Night weapons
>>11800913The thumbnail made me think her face was caved in
>>11801055Just kill the line now.
Does anyone here know the answer to this?>>11800527
>>11801048Figma soft goods looks cheap. How is her pantsu?
>>11801046>>11801048Is the Bnadai model kit on Figma scale?
>>11801060Would she fit with ML more?
>>11801190
bridget figmaoof nearly 13k yenI've already got the model kitI'll probably skip and get it later unless it's a limited releasehttps://x.com/figsoku/status/2060194830140277097?s=46&t=3lwHTHdpB6KhZEnR556jpA
>>11801060>>11801201Yeah, I mentioned it in the ctg thread a few days back, but the figma's practically spot on for 1/11 with Frieren's height being 150cm/4'11 so she should fit perfectly with Chinese figures and Legends.
>>11801249Bulge status?
>>11801262Same as Astolfo :)
Been browsing myfigurecollection for other figmas to buy and saw this. When was figma not expensive? I saw alot of complaining from 5 to 6 years ago. This is the oldest I saw.
>>11801333Because it used to be scale figures were the $100+ anime shit while figmas were the cheaper alternative. Now its all the same shit. Double wamey when you get almost no accessories and they keep jacking off store exclusive bonuses. An exclusive base is fine, but locking a actual part of the figma, like a faceplate, or other accessory, is pretty gay.
>>11801333You could pre-order figma on AmiAmi for like 1800 yen.
I will be buying the Bridget figma, not because I'm a huge fan because there's the slightest potential that it will lead to figmas of characters I like.My biggest copium is Potemkin.
>>11801333Back then most of the costs were attributed to importing them. Now, even when the Goodsmile distribute them themselves they're still twice as expensive.
>>11801333When they first started and remained reasonable up until like 20-6 or so. I remember Sherlock Hound being one of the first ones where the price started seeming excessive at the time, now it seems like a total bargain with the cart he has.
>>11801342>>11801352>>11801357>>11801364Why did they became expensive in the fist place anyway? From what I read people have been complaining before the tariffs. From a cursory look of their catalog there has been little improvement of their figures.
>>11801380Because they realized they could charge more, but also other factors like Japans economy going to hell, cost of manufacturing going up, increased sculpt and paint costs, early figmas were very simple by design, as time moved on people wanted more quality so that shoots up, compare old figmas with new ones and you see a stark difference.
>>11801352>fond memories of spending some of my teenage Saturday job wages on figma every month if there was something I likedSure does feel bad, man
>>11801046If I remember correctly, she got a Yamaha in the last episode after her dad's Les Paul crapped out. Which is weird because the mango box is from one of the earlier episodes. >>11801048wtf I specifically went for the figma because pictures made it seem like it had a more saturated pink tracksuit but here they look the same. The skirt looks bad too with that stitch. And she's hueg... Fuck, I suddenly wish I had just gotten the buzzmod which comes with the LP I prefer plus a guitar case. I want to cancel my preorder but I can't...
>>11801242Is right the buzzmod with model kit legs? Is it easy to combine those two?
>>11801249>only GG character that get figuresMan I want Baiken, Ram or Slayer. Not this fucking faggot, I know there's a SC Sol but that line is dead
>>11801593The faces are way more fun on the Figma so your choice wasn't bad at all.
>>11801617That's true. I think I also saw in a review the head on the buzzmod falls off easily or something which I didn't want to deal with. Hopefully I find the figma okay in hand
>>11801617Yeah, despite seeing the buzzmod in stock I went with the figma for the better faces.
>>11801070who the fuck ask for this?
>>11801595the Buzzmod is made to be able to have the waist down pop off to swap for the sitting part
>>11801249Odds of Baiken getting a figma?
>>11801249Cute boy.
>>11801249Finally someone posts a manly figure here
>>11801709japan been making everything gashapon since forever
>>11801070these would be cool if we got more ilyas or honkai star rail figma/shf
>>11801632It doesn’t fall off easily on mine, I think she’s good quality. But the choice was made for me when I got her for 30 bucks with a damaged box, and I like her size. Figma does have the superior faceplates though.
Ok bros I’m kind of freaking out about Bocchi now… I have A2 and 2B which I think are new scale and I don’t mind because they are like tall mommies. The Nikkes I don’t mind being tall because they’re also similar android/cyborg sexy characters but more importantly they all go together across Hyper Body and Snail Shell lines because they’re all similarly tall. But Bocchi has no one to go with. And she’s supposed to be like a petite high schooler. So if I put her next to Solid Snake for example to do funny scenes, I think it would look ridiculous. I might not even open her and just sell and get the buzzmod. I hope I can sell without taking a loss though.>>11802031If you are vouching for the buzzmod anon that encourages me even more. As for the faces, honestly I don’t think I’d consider Figma's selection perfect. I guess they are more fun but I don’t see myself using the dissociating drool face or the weird jagged face which I don’t even remember what scene that is from. I think the blue sick face is my favorite. I would’ve liked the >.< face though
>>11802225You could also consider the plamo, just because they're the only ones actually releasing the whole band.
>>11802245and plentiful face options
>>11801166What do I need to be able to put Shy's head on a Figma body / is it even possible?
>>11802256Blue tack is the answer to everything.
yuuka getting reissue, how is she any complain?
>>11802383There is a giant gap in her croth. Other than that the usual sloppy paint
>>11802250I can only imagine what people would use 3 for.
>>11802256Barring the figma body in question being an oddball, the answer is generally no. >>11802258 is usually the solution for disparate head-neck connections.
>>11802256not without modifications or the right joint. there's probably a hobbybase joint with the right diameter/neck peg for a figuarts head/figma neck but you'd need to trim/shave the other half. you'd have an easier time fitting a figma head onto a figuarts body
>>11802413So that thick thighs for kashima/RIkka Figma is compatible with Yuuka? One chink on Aliexpress sell it.
>>11802413oh god, but this mean movement is good at least?
>>11801974Oh if that's gashapon then it's understandable. I thought it was one of the new expensive of nothing
>>11802383Aside from her shoulder joint breaking out of nowhere she's pretty good and fun to pose
>>11801249>>11801354I've fallen so hard into the despair of Bridget just being GG's Steve Urkel/Poochie/Whatever mascot character, that I'm not even sure who else they'd even consider making figmas of. GG's one of those franchises where it feels like the most of the gooner characters aren't exactly the popular ones. Or in the case of Dizzy are in the middle of a redesign that people are on the fence about.
>>11802764I'd get May, but she didn't even make it into the anime.
>>11802765May or I-No would be stellar. Ky Kiske would also be nice.
>>11802245I already have it actually. But I don’t really like how model kits feel and also i wanted her pink jacket look which is more iconic. I thought it was already kind of big and the Figma is even bigger. It’s over
>>11802792She's a big girl
>>118027994 U
>>11802792Can’t wait to pose my 7 feet bocchi next to my manlet figures
>>11802792>>11802877
>>11802792Could you pose her next to other figures
>>11802792so do we have any idea why Figma decided to make all their girls massive?
>>11800459bit late but I just got for GSC global, I get bonuses, the flat rate is honestly preferable to whatever shit amiami will charge you and the shipping is reasonably fast, maybe if you buy a lot the same month ami is better because you can merge them together, but just individual releases? just go GSC
>>11803042Chasing China's tail is the best guess.
>>11803042Easier to paint and mold small details if the figures are bigger I guess? It’s ass, though.
>>11803042Bigger = better. Bandai did the same thing with their new bugmen SHF and drove me up the wall. Just going to have to live with it or bail, this is now their new normal.
>>11803042price is going up but if you keep the product pretty much the the same it wouldn't look good, and making them larger is cheaper than say more accessories or refined molding. Besides like other anons said, international competitors(not just chinks but burgers as well)are making larger products so it also make sense for the japs to do the same thing.
>>11802551Might not count on it, because if it doesn't change articulation much, it's basically Max Factory starting to be cheap in the most horrifying of prices.Different topic, but how do you want the figures of Anis and Neon's Over Specs? It's either as figmas or Hyper Body. I think Anis's Star Over Spec might be simply a figma because of the shoulder mic setup, while Neon's could easily be a Hyper Body because her new rocket launcher is a new type of overtech between Elysion and Missilis story-wise.
>>11803866How terrible are Red Hood and Anis Hyper body?Im not fan of Modernia Second form.Wanted her First form but the Hyper Body figure is expensive and horrible.
>>11803866Anis Over Spec's been announced by Snail Shell
>>11803918Just watend they making Rapi OG outfit. In worst scenario will be a shitty plamatea.
>>11802383>re-issueyou have to be ready for shittier QC than the original
>>11803866>he thinks Neon will get a figure>>11803888I have Anis and she is kind of shit but I can live with her just because it’s Anis and at least nothing is falling apart or breaking. Amiami and HLJ put her on sale if it makes it a slightly easier price to swallow
Can dust ruin joints? I'm scared of dusting some of my older figmas.
>>11804421Just dust them with a soft make-up brush.
Is it true Movie 0 Yuta is getting a re-release. Or is that just and old entry on the SJ calendar?https://www.shonenjump.com/j/jumpcalendar/sakuhin/jujutsu/
I wanted Bocchi today but Frieren was a good compromise, I didn't consider paring her with Ryza but I like them together a lot.
Are their thumbs gonna be like that ciel one where they look glued on? Because that's kinda what it looks like
>>11805145*his
just got mine
Is this better or worse than the usual shoulder joint? the guy at twitter that post the pic said it was kind of floppy
>>11805819I'd say worst, you can't T pose well and sometimes the shoulder will keep popping off easily with no simple fix. But hey, at least the hamhands won't completely fuck it up right?
>>11805819You know what fuck this I’m cancelling my pre order
Is mosern figma any good? After Snake and klk girl being dogshit trash i kinda gave up on it but i still love my elven wife.
>>11805968Okay, fake figma fan.
>>11803782that sucks because I like figma's scale. generic 1/12 figures are too damn big
>>11806116She’s absolutely massive and scales to 1/10 Chinese ctg figures, but pretty good on her own as a figure.
Big Marin soon
Fuck figma, lol.
>>11803918It's a statue. Snail Shell makes statues, IIRC.>>11804352Yes, because she shot up from a useless satellite to one of the strongest characters in the Ark right now.
Next month should be the release of figma Illya, at least at the earliest. While I doubt she comes out next month, just hope.Say, has there been any figma that managed to get out in its initially planned release date ever since the messy delay spams from the early 2020's?
>>11806116Frieren is really nice, I posted a pic here >>11804942This was my Snake which disintegrated out of the the box that I returned within a couple of hours of buying it, so I was hesitant to get this but the Figma mogs the Figuarts so I took a chance and it paid off.
Bridget is a biological male.
>>11806405And you are a faggot.
>>11805968I want to cancel mine but I already recently cancelled something on amiami so I'm afraid they would ban me for this... I guess I will just try to sell her when I get her which is a slight hassle. Already ordered the buzzmod. Ami has a few with the mango box aniplex bonus and it's $5 cheaper. I feel retarded for not doing this sooner. Idk for some reason I thought the figma would be better.>>11806264I can live with big Marin because she looks like a character that can be believably tall. Big Bocchi and big Frieren feel weird. I didn't think scale would bother me this much but it does so probably not going to get anymore figmas of short characters.
>>11806409I'm not buying nubridget figma, my dude.I'm just not gonna do it :)
>>11806289>Snail Shell makes statues, IIRC.wrong
>>11806289>It's a statue. Snail Shell makes statues, IIRC.Dude..... it's literally stated 1/12 action figure.
Bros my Samus is still somewhere at sea. I was first told late March, then latter April/late May the latest, but no movement yet. In 9 days it'll be a year since I ordered her, I curse the anon who baited me with a discount code for Goodsmile EU.
>>11806561>Samus is still somewhere at seaMore like Seamus heh
>>11806573Carlos!
>>11806414>I can live with big Marin because she looks like a character that can be believably tall. She's only 5'4, though I guess that's slightly tall for Japanese woman standards. The real concern is if Figma made those shorties that big, how big will they make Marin?
>>11806643>She's only 5'4I'm not really thinking about canon heights. I think all the Nikkes are canonically very short. But since they are supposed to be sexy android type characters, I can pretend they are taller the way fashion models are generally tall. Idk if that makes sense but kind of how I can justify it. It just depends on the design. Marin to me feels "tall coded" if you will... She's not a cute young looking student, she is more mature and sexy looking so her having long legs would be believable to me. It's hard to explain lol>The real concern is if Figma made those shorties that big, how big will they make Marin?Isn't the new scale just making everyone around 6 inches? She is listed as 145mm which is about 5.7 inches. Himmel is 6.2 inches/158mm. Not sure if that is in proper scale with Frieren. This is all so weird. It would be so much easier if everyone just did true 1/12.
>>11806675The new meme is making everyone 7 inches for some reason
I fucking hate scalecreep. Is it really that hard to just turn feet into inches?
>>11806723Instructions unclear, next figma is the size of an arm.
I'm so fucking mad. Frieren is in the mail right now but I don't wanna buy Figma no more if they are gonna keep with this bullshit 1/10 scale
>>11802792is there any place to buy 30mp that isn't from expensive resellers
>>11806855They all sell out so fast, I just ended up grabbing a few off Mandarake. Hate the price increase through it though, but fuck HLJ with backorder hell.
>>11806867Thanks, anon. I love you.
>>11806855>>11806867I had to get Bocchi off Mandarake because HLJ never fulfilled my order.Got the rest of the band through NNG. Waiting for Nijika to release now.Mad I wasn't in time for the new 30M releases, so aftermarket again I guess.
>>11806446I think he must mean they *also* make statues? But I have no idea since this clearly is going to be a figure.
Big elf (for you) just arrived.>Crunchyroll stickerI didn't even buy it at their store, do they have exclusive distribution rights of anything Frieren outside of Japan or something? Can't say I like how much sway that streaming site has.
>>11806915Where'd you order from? Also fuck crunchy.
>>11806843Unironically so happy I got the shf reissue instead. I hate the hair, faces, and way the clothes are sculpted on the figma. Plus of course the size. Shf is nice and sturdy and would make for a good lil pocket figure if I had the type of autism where I carry around a figure in my pocket wherever I go.
>>11806917GSC global. Got the bonus magic circle too.
>>11806927What the fuck, why would they slap crunchy stickers on them when they've got nothing to do with them
>>11806923>I hate the hair, faces, and way the clothes are sculpted on the figma.I have the Figuarts and bought the Figma too because the bangs and faces (other than the silly one) of the figuarts always looked off to me. As for the clothes, the flowing sculpt on the Figma is better for floating/action poses.I'm still going to use both for now, Figuarts goes with Fern and figma with Himmel.
>>11806675Nah, I get what you mean. If Gojo wasn't there towering over her, I'd probably think she was more like 5'7 or something. As far as the scale, I'm not sure how accurate GSC's listed heights are nowadays. Holo was listed as 150mm, but ended up more like 140mm, which is good because that would've made her as big as TOTK Link(at least what he was listed as). They also still seem to make some lines a bit smaller and closer to the older scale. I just feel like I never know how big a figma will actually end up until I see it in hand nowadays.

>>11806923Yeah, I'll just buy the clothes for the SHF.Now if the Figma came with THE face and a briefcase, I see there being a good argument for still liking the Figma despite the scale issues. But they really didn't do much to make it stand out, and the gold trim will probably make it hard to find soft goods replacements for.Mimic is neat, but just a gimmick. And Zoltraak being GSC exclusive is poop. One thing I will say is I imagine the ankle joint on the Figma is better than the SHF.
>>11806915>Crunchyroll stickerRemove it ASAP. That shit devalues any item.
>>11806843Eh I'm okay to have both. SHF to fit with other imports and the Figma with some of my larger scale figures where she still looks tiny by comparison.

>They want you to touch their figma
>>11807793They sure want the statue crowd to understand the appeal of posable figures. I just hope those poor figma survive the day (if the event wasn't in Japan a hamhands would snap something in less than ten minutes).
>>11807815I thought they fully gave in to the statue crowd which is why there are much fewer figma now and many more scales, pups and nendos
>>11807851It’s kinda funny, when action figures are now way wayyy in vogue for some reason, they’ve scaled down production unlike Bandai who are pumping em out. I guess there’s more expensive licensing involved with Figma though.

>>11806843Damn. So Himmels gonna be an absolute giant?kek.
>>11808221
>>11808241>>11808221Not saying that the figma isn't a bit oversized but people here don't seem to understand that the Figuarts is REALLY small. I'm talking half a head shorter than the original Saber figma from 2008, a character that is 154 cm tall. I don't think Frieren is THAT short when compared to Artoria. So even if the Frieren figma is bigger than it should, it isn't really as much of a difference as people think after seeing that pic, because the Figuarts is undersized when compared to figmas.
>>11808266don't tell, post pics
>>11808266frieren is legit meant to be tiny
>>11808317Sure, but less than 154cm? Saber is a womanlet too. Hell, I just checked and the Figuarts Fern is also shorter than 1.0 Saber. That's obviously wrong.>>11808313Will post some comparison pics tomorrow if I can.
>>11808335Frieren is (apparently) just under 5 foot tall, she’s pretty small.
>>11808221He's probably gonna look like Figma TotK Link
>>11808335>less than 154cmWell 1/12 of 154cm is 128mm. So the figuarts is pretty accurate if she's between 120-130.
>>11808344I don't know if that's truly her official height but that's still extremely close to Saber's 154cm, and the Figuarts is way shorter than that. And, again, it's absolutely impossible that Fern is shorter than Saber, but the Figuarts is.And I'm actually comparing them with the Saber 1.0 because that one is shorter than the 2.0.
>>11808363As per >>11808359 I don't own a Saber, but if she truly is 154cm, then accurate 1/12 scale would make her 128mm. If the figure is taller than that, then it's just non scaled.Bandai have be getting better at actually adhering to 1/12 scale recently, even if character proportions lead to some odd matches, but the heights are correct.
>>11808363Mentioned it in another thread a while back, but Frieren's officially 150cm/4'11. SHF is using 1/12 (120mm) though could be 5mm taller and Figma is near exact 1/11(137mm)
>>11806843Same hereHad no idea how huge the figma would be but those dipshits at HLJ won't cancel my order.
>>11808221gonna build him a harem from chink coomer toys
>>11808266>>11808335>>11808363Wasn't a guy in the last thread claiming old Castorias size was wrong because these were too short and Castoria being in the right scale?
>>11808391>Frieren's officially 150cm/4'11.When was this revealed?>>11808668You remember wrong. Caster Artoria is another case of her being slightly oversized but not as much as people think. She wears higher heels than regular Saber so it makes sense for the figure to be slightly taller, so it doesn't look that off.
>>11808389>>11808391>>11808359The whole point of this conversation is not if the Figuarts are accurate to 1/12 scale or not, but how accurate both of the articulated Frieren's look compared to most figmas. And it's clear to me that in that respect the Figuarts is undersized while the Figma is oversized but not as extremely as people think. If Frieren is truly 150cm and Fern is half a head taller than her, it's impossible for Fern to be shorter than Saber, but the Figuarts clearly are. I'm using the original Saber Figma as a litmus test because she's one of the earlier figmas, can be compared to the shitton other Fate characters released (only Archer looks clearly undersized) and fits pretty nicely with the 100+ figmas I own.Obviously your mileage may vary and you may like how the shorter Figuarts fits in your collection. That's totally fine. The only thing I wanted to say is that the Figma isn't as big as the Figuarts may make you think.
>>11808777>and fits pretty nicely with the 100+ figmas I own.To clarify, I'm just talking about sizes here. As far as looks go, 2.0 all the way, obviously.
>>11805145I really want him, but I also really hate string weapons. Those stick things look terribly fragile too. If only he came with "weapon-spinning" accessories like what Select Thor and some Michaelangelo toys have
>>11808784>. Those stick things look terribly fragile too>clear plastic thin piece with GSC's shit clear plastic formulaYup its gonna be fucking fragile, you may as well just use a string at that point.
>>11808769>When was this revealed? In the "Frieren TV Anime Companion Book Volume 2: The Magic to Understand Fern & Stark" released at the end of last year. That's why there's still some older estimates floating around ranging from like 4'10-5'4.>>11808777Even a lot of the older Fate figmas are closer to 1/11 than 1/12 when you plug their measurements into a scale converter, like Saber's 154cm=140mm exactly in 1/11, and the Frieren SHF is slightly small even by 1/12 scale, so it makes sense she wouldn't fit too well with most figmas if you take her actual height into account.
>>11808769>>11808777>is oversized but not as extremely as people thinkTell to the class how oversized the people think the figures in question are because you repeat it a lot, the size of a mountain?
>>11806843what the hell...>Bandai lists the Figuarts at approx 140mm (I have one, that's about the right size)>GSC lists the Figma at approx 137mm>Figma is actually over a head tallerhttps://www.goodsmile.com/en/product/1136363/figma+Frieren
>>11808873The S.H.Figuarts (SHF) Frieren action figure (from Frieren: Beyond Journey's End) measures approximately 120 mm (4.7 inches) tall for the main body. When the included magic effect parts are attached, the total height reaches about 140 mm (5.5 inches)- AI Slop
>>11808769She might be taller because of heels, but all her proportions are bigger. Just compare the faces.

Just compare the faces.Yeah, the faces are slightly bigger than Saber 2.0 for sure, but having both side to side Castoria doesn't look off so that's enough for me.>>11808807I mean, plenty of people are acting like the figure size is total deal breaker, so...
>>11806915Bigchi the Boulder arrived too. No Crunchyroll sticker this time.
>>11809093>I mean, plenty of people are acting like the figure size is total deal breaker, so...which it is for a lot of people
>>11809108Sure, but the only thing I wanted is for people to understand that comparing it to the Figuarts can make the figma look way bigger than it is. That's all.I don't know, the size increase really isn't as much of a big deal to me because it isn't something egregious like Plamatea or Act Mode.If the main reason for not wanting to buy these was the ridiculous prices they have nowadays I would understand way better. As someone who has been collecting figmas since the very beginning of the line, back when you could get a regular one for 20 bucks and one of the wider boxes full of accesories for 24, that reason makes way more sense.
>>11809093That looks pretty much perfect to me. Frieren is supposed to be shorter than sabar and I dont know what age that fern figure is supposed to be, but arguably she would be the same height as saber barefoot. The faces also look comparable, so overall I would argue that the shf frieren figures are a much better match to old figma than the new one.Anything else is just figmafag cope.
>>11809119It just is way bigger than it's supposed to be. By a wide margin. Maybe the SHF is a slight bit too short (and Fern with her), but it's nowhere near the same amount.>If the main reason for not wanting to buy these was the ridiculous prices they have nowadays I would understand way better. As someone who has been collecting figmas since the very beginning of the line, back when you could get a regular one for 20 bucks and one of the wider boxes full of accesories for 24, that reason makes way more sense. That's another valid reason, but that applies to pretty much all lines, so not a reason to check out of Figma in particular so much as it is a reason to just stop collecting.Figma's specific scale wonkiness based on arbitrary reasons is a much more specific reason to stop collecting them.
>>11809191>Frieren is supposed to be shorter than sabar4cm of height difference doesn't look like that at all, thought. >I dont know what age that fern figure is supposed to be but arguably she would be the same height as saber barefoot.Imagine thinking that's not the grown up Fern that appears for most of the story. And you say people are coping. Also she having the same height as Saber is pure nonsense, in the show she's way taller than Frieren and Frieren is supposed to be almost as tall as Saber. The Figuarts are too small when compared to other figures, period. The funny thing is I don't even think the Figuarts are that bad and I don't care about the scaling, but criticizing the Figma for being too tall and then grasping at straws to defend the undersized Figuarts is just lying to yourself.
>>11809093Hmm. This picture has kind of made me go the other way into finding the SHF Frieren's height okay desu. Yeah, she's still a bit undersized and would've been perfect at 5mm taller, but the top of her head looks to come up to about Saber's eyebrows which is only like a 4-5 inch height difference in real life. The Fern on the other hand doesn't work at all unless you imagine she's the 15-16 year-old version that's 145-152cm.
Got around to unboxing Senshi today. Now I need to come up with a fun group scene idea.
>>11809239>The funny thing is I don't even think the Figuarts are that bad and I don't care about the scaling, but criticizing the Figma for being too tall and then grasping at straws to defend the undersized Figuarts is just lying to yourself.Almost like 'slightly shorter' is not as bad as 'heavily oversized'

Why was the Anis image deleted?
>>11809285>Almost like 'slightly shorter' is not as bad as 'heavily oversized'Can't agree with your use of "slightly" and "heavily" here. Figuarts seems to be as undersized as the Figma is oversized. Nonetheless I can understand being able to see a smaller Frieren as "right" in most cases, but it really feels off when she's posed with another womanlet like Saber, and that Fern is always going to look undersized no matter what.Seems to me not caring much about scale is the best way to enjoy these figures.

>>11806915Finally released her from the box and I've been posing her a bit. It's been a while since I opened a figma were every single joint has the perfect tighness, and the Marvel Legends ab crunch not only works like a charm (contrary to some of the other figmas I own were it's pretty hard to move) but you can barely notice it's there due to how integrated it is to the shirt sculpt. Even the twintail joints, that looked a bit weird to me at first, are great. They give you a lot of flexibiliy when posing her hair, way more than I expected. At least for me the inclusion is totally worth it.All in all, I'm really impressed with this release. Only thing that bothers me is the innacurate shirt collar, but other than that I'm really liking this figure way more than I expected.
I hope they do a Lancer reissue...
>>11810975There's been a lot of discussion about her being too big in this and previous threads so I really wasn't expecting her to be shorter than Saber 2.0. Going by the official heights of the characters posted here she's really supposed to be slightly shorter, so this looks fine enough I guess.
>>11811004Height is a single aspect of the overscaling. That head is gigantic along with everything else
>>11811045>gigantic along with everything elseNice exaggeration but the heights don't lie. If Saber is 154cm and Frieren is 150cm, that's pretty much how they would look side to side unless they got the characters proportions completely wrong, and other than Saber's stylized waist they seem accurate to their respective sources. Also you're forgetting taking the differences in art style into account, Frieren's faces are really round with smaller eyes compared to most other shows for example. Inconsistencies are going to show up.If the Frieren figma was like a centimeter taller than Saber I would understand the criticism, but at this point it just feels like grasping at straws to justify your choice of not buying the figure or just legit scale obsession.
>>11811045>giganticNot as much as I believed, I got her a suitcase and turn out it's too big!>>11810975Forgot to mention that changing hands is also pretty easy on this figma, and you can even pose the staff's ribbon. The detachable waist stays in place securely but isn't too hard to separate either. Haven't noticed any messed up paint apps. I really hope to see this level of quality more often, given the prices these have now it really should be the norm.
>>11811004I think the problem is more in how Frieren is way wider than she should if you want those two to look good together. If you thin her out the height looks good with Saber, but as she is she looks off.
>>11811089>Kurai yo! Kowai yo!The mimic is a fun accesory to have. You can remove the plate with Frieren's fake torso and lower teeth so it can close, but don't expect storing bulky things inside as there's multiple plastic walls to hold the plate in place. They can work as compartments for very small things, though.
>>11811095this just looks off
>>11811110That's all the pics I have for now. I understand people having their issues with this release but the figure itself is super nice so I'm glad I got her even if I already own the Figuarts. Hoping that Himmel's quality is on par when he releases.

>>11811446She was before they started sizing up.
>>11811310I mean, they can do it in the technical sense that nobody is stopping them, but the market for gooner chibis isn't as large as the market for gooner bigger figures.>>11811320I was hoping her upper abdomen crunch would be secretly good, but looking at that belt under her tits I doubt it.
>>11811222I think it might be that this makes it look like she has no hips at all, but it might just be they're pivoted to the side in this picture? At least I'd hope so. This figure already looks like the outfit made it a nightmare to make the clothes look good or allow any articulation at all, and might have accomplished neither.>>11811225I can get they wanted her to be able to do some tacticool poses, but I can get 90% of people would rather just pose her leaning against a wall like she's waiting to bum a cigarette.

>>11810903>Will figma be able to regain it's mojo?Nope. Some prototype reveals, but nothing new. Disappointing. Only thing that tickles me is this red panda and it's full skeleton. And it's not even by GSC or MF.

Like sure, i’d probably spend 3-4k yen on a generic sexy figure from figma, but no more.>>11811231I feel she could be slightly plumper, but still bueno. Always love transparent sunglasses on figures.

man its almost like GSC gives more love to Nendos and is begrudgingly keeping figma around
>>11811727>Hideo Kojima nendo when a figma would be so much more funThey just can’t work out how to make it more profitable I think.
>>11811727I just don't understand what happened to the figma line. For years it felt enormous. Every season we were basically getting at least a few of the popular shows at the time. We were getting updates and rereleases of characters. And then suddenly they just stop announcing figmas and acting like the line is dead. No shit it's dead if you're not fucking making anything. Was it really struggling for all those years? I just can't see it.
>>11811738because figmas are just too expensive, having a little Kojima figure only really appeals to like 5 people and 3 of them are Kojima in different hats, but thats fine because a nendo of him can be cheap and customizers are probably happy to get parts of a "generic" japanese guy to work with.Meanwhile a figma of him would probably have to be 10k and no one is gonna seriously buy that, had this been years ago and it would've sold for 5k then maybe.
>>11811366Finally... I could use a win today.>>11811423Revy and Dante were both the low-end sculpt revos of the time.>>11811484>MASSIVE missed opportunity not doing Blue-Eyes Toon DragonDamn, that's true.
>>11811744simply put, early figmas when you look at them were cheap and not the highet quality with sculpt or paint but that wa fine because most figma were anime character who are by design simple, but the margin have gotten thinner, theres not a many collectors that want posable figures in Japan or West really, normies rather get statues, meanwhile figma improved their figures but this means higher costs and it just keeps spiraling, drop the small shows, only focus on surehits.meanwhile most people rather get nendos because they're cute and cheap like figmas used to be.Honestly, we posable anime figure fans are a dying breed, people younger than us have no money, figmas are getting more and more expensive, china is hitting hard with blokees, people got into model kits during the pandemic and gunpla blew up which is why blokees is coming in, all a bit sad really.
>>11811748A shift towards poseable figures is definitely happening, especially in the West, but statuefags will always be the main market, sadly. I think Goodsmile just hasn’t got the access to IPs people love like companies such as Bandai does without bigger licence costs + the more work that has to go into engineering. I never expected revoltech to begin to mog figma with their character figures and range of IPs back in the day when the frauleins were all they had to offer, but here we are. Also I think they’re probably raising their own costs by increasing figma size as each unit it will weigh more to either compete with the far cheaper sexy Chinese girl figures or to perhaps try to avoid QC issues on smaller molds.
>>11811222>Something looks offShe's sculpted by Maoji.
She'll also have movable eyes.
>>11811987

>>11812945He's hanging in there!
>>11812955I had problems with the guns, which is probably why they don't appear to be in the touching box.
>>11811748>>11811776It's kind of wild that they had fucking Fate and Umamusume licenses and that's not enough to keep figma from drowning as a concept, somehow. But yeah, I can get if maybe there were just enough people like me that used to buy figmas even of characters that weren't our favorites, but the spiraling price just went a bit out of control for it.
>>11812952Trust in Das Finale 6

>>11812956>Rikka movie versionMassive hips and taller than Akane
>>11811998>>11812956Marin looks weird here… I was the one saying before I’m fine with tall Marin but not tall Frieren and Bocchi but now I’m not sure again. The heads look massive and creepy. I feel like the issue is proportions. Tall Chinese girls like Snail Shells are tall mainly because of long legs but it feels like with Figma they make a proportionally shortish girl then just scale her up to be closer to 6 inch which looks weird. Idk gonna need more size comparisons. Doesn’t seem she has a release date yet.
>>11813582>Doesn’t seem she has a release date yet.Isn't she coming out this month?
>>11813665Yes, I guess I meant ship date
>>11812952Seeing Figma vehicles is enough to make me so incredibly salty over the KemoFure Japari Bus getting canceled. I had to settle for the miniature instead, which's thankfully cute once you get past the fact the tiny figs won't stop falling out of it because of no pegs.
>>11813854That line in general just makes me sad. There are so many characters we could have gotten if they had just waited like six months to fuck everything up.
>>11811998If she is going to be that big they could at least sculpt her better dammit. She's supposed to be this extremely ideal woman but instead the body is just meh

Thoughts on Miku NT? It's bare bones for the price but the hair looks good.
>>11813854I actually bought both Serval and Kaban to go with the bus, but in the end they're just chilling on a shelf with my Beast Wars guys.

So I guess we have chance for a Oot link. Even if it's on that gay final fantasy style
Bros I think GoodSmileEU have just straight up robbed me. Still absolutely nothing on my Samus, their site says no stock of anything until mid-July and because they have moved to a new site, they are ghosting all correspondence now and aren't responding to emails anymore. I can already feel it, I'm never getting this Samus.
>>11816053A true monkey's paw if so.
>>11816133Same, all Samuses and Momo for me
>>11816259Sorry anon, but it actually makes me feel a little better that another person is suffering the same plight. Let's hope they find their way to us.

>>11816133Samus is listed on https://goodsmile-europe.com/pages/delayed-shipmentsI'm still waiting on refunds like many others.
>>11814252She uses the same bad elbow joints of Figma vtubers.
>>11816053More importantly we have a chance for a Majora's Mask remake. And then we have a chance for a Skull Kid.
>>11816588She's got the 5$ toy Chilchuck elbows. The VTubers ones at least don't show the hole.
>>11816590There it is! That damn elbow joint.
>>11816585Ah thanks for that link, I hadn't seen that. Oh well, better late than never, been waiting years since missing out the first time round anyway I guess.
>>11816603how much of this is badly designed joints vs vtuberfags man handling their expensive figures of their pretend girlfriends?
>>11816921Miko and Suisei just had awful QC.The elbows were even brought up by GSC themselves to apply for replacements.
>>11816921How can you even hamhand a swivel joint? I don’t like how the automatic assumption here for broken figures is hamhanding… These are toys meant for posing. Playing with them shouldn’t be like disarming a bomb, they should be reasonably durable which the Japanese brands often kind of suck at.
>>11816603>vtubers get the shitty engineered jointsHeh, no doubt they still sold well hopefully there was enough backlash from these shitty joints that they're no longer going forward with them in future figures
>>11817046Issue with Suisei at least is that there wasn't enough space to swivel smoothly. It either scrapes and tears itself apart or pops off.
>>11816590>>11816603Why are this kind of joints fragile while the Revo knees and the mess toys are durable? Arent the function and design the same?
Although I did see someone's Yamaguchi All Might with the same knee broken.
>>11817316That's just not true, fraulein revoltech had lots of problems with that kind of knees becoming super loose
>>11817349>fraulein revoltechDid they broke when they were brand new like figma or due to age? In the revo general and reddit (sorry) people point out how it becames loose over time but I never saw someone compalin it broke out of the box. Or maybe I havent lurk enough.
>>11817378I got several frauleins and it was only Yoko who had loose legs. And it weren't even the knees, but the weak hip joints.
They a li'l confused
>>11816603>>11816921>>11817046>>11817062>>11817575It's a structure from a previous generation, and its flaws have already been identified, so using it in this generation is just irrational.
>>11817575Yeah, my Yoko is pretty wobbly nowadays. But she looks good! I’m pretty happy with how much better revo is nowadays, but I do miss being able to swap joints around so well, I used to create some fun abominations with the mascot figures and revo humans. I’d be extra happy if they released a Revy 2.0.
>>11817316They get loose/pop off. The design is trash.
>>11817586yeah, the price should be 15K
Limited release because fuck making anything standard nowadays I guess.
Bonus is a base, but since you're paying full price anyways, might as well grab it.
