I do have a job. I'm incredibly frugal and not as into this hobby as others. I buy maybe 4 toys at most in a year. Last year as big for me with 8 or so figures.

I think I make a little more than the median national yearly salary here before taxes. But I still live with parents for free and they buy groceries and whatnot and my job is remote so I don't have to spend money on gas. So I basically have zero expenses, the only thing I am spending money on is toys. But I've been spending a lot lately. I don't think I could afford it if I had bills. Collecting imports sucks now that it's almost $100 per figure now. I am probably going to try to become financially independent soon but I don't want to give up this hobby to do so. It is the only thing that brings me joy in life. I guess I need to find a way to earn more. This is difficult in the current economy though and even worse is I am not ambitious or motivated at all.

I collect choosen mh figures, some plush like pokemon and lego. Ive kindda run out of space even with storing some of my collection. Nowadays I feel like I dont want to buy most of the things that I "crave".I just feel thats empty, like vapid feeling that pass if I dont fall for it, almost like an addiction. My lego collection is big enough for me to moc and I still have a set from previous year that I didnt open because I had other builds.When it comes to vidya I pirate most of the titles, then buy it if I like them when their are discounted.I dunno but I think you need to have poor will to buy all the shit. Just buy 2-3 things per year that you crave the most, its not even about saving money but getting the hobby in line so it doesnt become your lifestyle.With creative hobbies, Im in favor of spending more money, because it can develop character, abilities and even become some sort of craft which you could turn into a profit of some kind.With toys you can just pose them and flip them after some time.In the end its your money, if it brings you happiness than its still worth it to buy them, however shallow this feeling is.
