I was pretty excited when I saw the Helldivers was finally getting a figure produced, but had my skepticism when I saw it was McFarlane. Needless to say, the figure is dogwater. I've seen video reviews and it has poor articulation, bending weapons with poor detail, it looks like melted wax, and it's 60 fucking dollars, 75 with shipping. Like every McFarlane exclusive, it sold out in minutes to scalpers because the fucking idiot didn't think to make more than 100 of them. Any other toy company could have done better at a cheaper price. I can go out and buy a $27 Black Series and it's 10x better than what this came out to be. Why do people buy figures from this fag?

I feel they would've been far better suited for Helldivers then McFarlane as his figures are overpriced and under quality.

Paint, posing, detail, even reflective visors, all great. I have a lot of 1:18 scale Halo figures from Jazwares in fact. Jazwares would've done great with Helldivers. Hell, if Joytoy can afford the Warhammer license, they could've bought a Helldivers license from Sony too. It'd be better to just buy a 3D printer and make your own instead of buying from dumbass McFarlane, or commission a custom from someone.

>>11807277The only McFarlanes I own are the ash and fire Avatar ones, for a few reasons. On their own, they are superior to the usual McFarlane figure in articulation, paint, detail, accessories etc., the normally stupid scale actually makes them perfectly scaled for 1/18, his usually awful proportions don't apply as they are lanky and elongated anyway so they are proportioned correctly and, lastly, the liklihood of anyone else doing any Na'vi figures again is extremely slim. I agree McFarlane figures are atrocious in general. I listened to a podcast that had a guy who does the hooking up of licenses to figure making companies and he said basically that, for whatever reason, video game studios are bizarrely backwards in their willingness to license out. They only even consider McFarlane or at most Figma, the idea of proposing Inart or someone is extremely difficult, they are totally ignorant to it. With Ubisoft branching out to UPF and CCStoys for Asscreed a day Splinter Cell, maybe there is a new era dawning.

It was made for a lot of sculpted detail on stuff like the evil batmen, and even some 90s designs do work like Parallax or Azrael. The improper reuse kept rolling from there and they kept getting lazier.The second red flag was the $30 CEs, that was clear as day that things were going for a purely revenue extraction angle.Then once the artificial scarcity hit and the further price increases kept coming with CEs up to $35 with no improvement at all to the figures to justify it I knew I was done with the line. By that point it was totally indefensible.
