the virgin 'i buy what i wanted as a kid' vsthe chad 'i have an appreciation for the breadth of toy history and will collect lines of significance to toy history even if i have no nostalgic connection to them'
>>11811990The Thad "i buy anything i think looks cool"
>>11812127i only buy things from properties im familiar with. saves me tons of cash
>>11811990>the 'i use AI sloppa' because I can barely manage 'lame no talent perma-virgin shit posts'
>>11811990How does that work if it was wanting the vintage toys as a kid, because you appreciated the history, and then finally getting them with adult money? All virgin? Chad? Just some 3rd thing? Because that's where my lasting love of toys stemmed from, liking just how rad some vintage stuff was, while still liking the contemporary stuff that was also good
>>11812195> the 'I'm a newfag who doesn't know what Heroforge is and spergs on calling every thread I don't like AI' posts
>>11812890>Heroforge>>>/tg/Not toy related.
>>11811990Both kinds of collectors are chadly and based. I collect various toys even ones that i wasnt interested as a kid but i think theyre cool, but that shouldnt invalidate those that mostly buy toys of stuff they wanted as a youngster
>>11812895How is it ai tho
I just buy whatever looks fun and cool. It's not rly sentimental.
>>11812127
>>11811990Ah yes, the era of AI OVERVIEW tier of OPsthat era of /toys/ where putting in the hard work of a lazy ass prompt really pays offis finally here
>>11819512>no response
I spent my early import toy years buying everything I thought looked cool like this, and ended up just buying a bunch of stuff I ended up not being really attached to. Then something like Street Sharks anniversary toys come out and I feel more pull towards them than the $400 Sentinel mecha figure I got of an anime I'll never watch but I liked the design of.
>>11819512>>11824065Silly rabbitVirgins can barely type - you can't expect them to think, too
I was the virgin until I caved and started getting Masters of the Universe stuff this year.
I prefer to save my money for stuff I actually want instead of chasing some imaginary dragon of "historic significance" or whatever stupid shit you've come up with to justify your addiction.
>>11812127The Trad: "I buy exactly what I want and like, whether it be a license or something cool and original. I also have no pressure to complete waves or teams by wasting money on things I do not like."
>>11838506>I also have no pressure to complete waves or teamsThis is the big one. Very easy to fall into that trap.
>>11811990On the one hand, I do buy figures that I like regardless of when they were made. On the other hand most toys were actually better when I was a kid, so buying older stuff still wins.>collect lines of significance to toy historyThis is just stupid and sounds like you being a slave to trends.
>>11811990i like stupid tin things from the 1900s.
