anyone know where the underwear piece for the luluce in this one is from? it's definitely not SC03 or SC04
>>11815075Are they actually releasing more? I got the white and red kits when they released and liked them but I assumed they didn't sell well or something.
>>11815075Wasn't the MoMo model kit line kill, causing the prices to soar? Are they reprinting it? Props to the creator for still trying his best to push his robo waifu after all these years.
>>11815075No, those are straight up robots. To be a mecha musume it must be a human female with mecha parts and armor or a female robot with synthetic skin that resembles human skin like skankies.
Anyone recognize which kit the limbs are from?
>>11815220Mechamusume literally means "robot girl". A female robot can be a mechamusume just as much as a human girl with robot bits; you're putting your own bias above the literal definition.
>>1181524830MF, standard arms and legs.
>>11815250No.
>>11815259Thanks fren
>>11815220Is there a thread for robotic girls, then? When I look for Acerbies and the like they tend to be categorized under mecha musume or robot girls
>>11815282Just post them here anyway.
>>11815282Used to be but with the new rules slow threads had to merge with other generals. Robot girls in general get posted here a lot as well as other girlpla kits.
>>11815220>>11815075consult the image, where you do draw the line
>>11815155That's just Lily Wear Luluce with skin tone thighs instead
>>11815266Really? That's all you have to say? Not even an actual rebuttal? Sorry, pal, but them's the breaks. Any female robot is a mechamusume by definition. You don't have to like it.
>>11815377...I wanna stick my dick in that toaster...
>>11815202I saw some alternative MoMo kits on the creators(?) booth. There was a Cat and Octopus MoMo.
Posted on /m/ and /tg/ before but it's on topic so I post it here as well - recently finished custom Sister, unlike previous projects aimed to use as much actual optional parts as possible instead of doing my own ones with polystyrene. Like the final effect but shading is barely visible on photos so maybe next time I should do it more aggressively.
Oh and in case anyone would wonder - spear is from Kotobukiya kit, not Bandai.
Overall made small gallery (30 pics) on private site but don't know how you guys treat posting such links. If you want, I can post it however.
>>11815437Links are fine, and definitely preferable to having you spam 30 images here.
>>11815443I never spam, when I post on /m/ I usually just do so with 4-5 example pics and leave a link.If anyone is interested, links is: https://sabi-sif.mb4.pl/gunpla-mg-rg-other/30ms-ingrid/
>>11815433I really like the bodysuit look, makes it look more stylish than the usual flesh color.
>>11815332> me when I lie my ass off
>>11815075Momo is mecha, but not mecha musume. The differentiation is pretty simple, proper true mecha musume should be outwardly human while having mecha themed armor or parts. Couple easy examples are that arcee from transformers and the Nobel gundam are mecha, not mecha musume. Stike witches and infinite stratos are mecha musume, it's all humans with mecha themes. Characters like Major from ghost in the shell or Android 18 are "mechanical" but lack mecha elements and thus are also not mecha musume.Per >>11815377 mecha musume would be 4, and most cases of 5.
>>11815407>rebuttal There's no need to argue with those trying to dilute the term.

>design literally perfect for a MD collab>Bandai already has the licence for BA model kits>They already announced a kit of this character with a simpler outfit >Probably won't do anything this complexMaybe Plamatea to the rescue? This design hits so many different boxes for me.
>>11815282Stop worrying about classification trolls. This thread has always been the place for female themed figures/kits ever since Fuckonami killed the original BS line.
>>11815488This does imply that you could change a particularly mecha-outfitted Acerby from mecha to mecha musume by switching out her head. Or that Starflower Lily or a Megalomaria girl changes the same way....But it's all semantic fuckery either way, so who gives a fuck.
>>11815790Who asked for maid Aris anyway? It's such a meh design as far as girlpla is concerned.
>>11815924It's still going to sell out extremely quickly because the maid costume itself is what's in high demand.
>>11815377I'm 1-6 and then 9.7 and 8 don't do much for me, but 9 is esoteric enough to make it work.
>>11815934What I'm trying to say is that the maid costume itself is boring as fuck, girlpla got more interesting maid bodies so the fact they went with the maid costume instead of her armor mode or her school uniform is such a missed opportunity.
>>11815949>girlpla got more interesting maid bodiesPlease don't tell me you're talking about the guilty princess ones. They look ugly as fuck.
>lurk for about an hour trying to find a good deal before aliexpress sale ends>Sestieh, Sourei and Shuremi are still overpriced af>manage to find a Luluce lily for $26 burgerbucks, free delivery includedfeels good being a color C bro, but I'm still sad I can't get Sestieh at a reasonable price
>>11816025I managed to snatch Sourei off Amiami for about 4600 yen, which is a bit cheaper than what 30MS girls go for in my country. Crazy how bad the logistics are for Bandai stuff outside of Japan.
>>11815478Which part is the lie? That robot girls in general get posted here (Polynians, Megalomaria, ect) are accepted in the thread or or other girlpla (Arcanadea, Kemopla, Sousai Shojo Teien ans so on)?because it really seems like that has been the case for ages and it only becomes an issue when somebody starts a retarded hair splitting argument.
well it looks like i bought the wrong naked body... size is off and skin color too.the naked body is also way more shiny and more concerningly feels slightly oily to the touch but it doesnt transfer to my hands. is it fine to wash them with soap? i'm worried about rust on the screws>>11816037>Crazy how bad the logistics are for Bandai stuff outside of Japan.it's not any better in japan for those kits if that makes you feel any better. idk why bandai hates both their customers and themselves so much
>>11816054i am retard
>>11815949Doesn’t matter, this one is a loli, it will sell out
>>11815949>girlpla got more interesting maid bodiesYes, but are any of them in 30MS format? Because that's probably what's behind Bandai's decision-making here.
>>11815488>proper true mecha musume should be outwardly human while having mecha themed armor or parts.Again, that's your opinion. The actual definition is just "female robot".
>>11816051Just look at the last thread, >>11810643 an anon posts multiple pictures of a fully-robot fully-male kit, and no-one (rightly) bats an eyelid, because it's Megalomaria, and that's "okay".It's only when someone brings up something that the thread police decides he dislikes, that he exposes his biases and starts sperging out. It doesn't matter if they all look just like knock-off Megalomaria, he'll justify that they cross an imaginary line that somehow Megalomaria and the other "acceptable" robots don't and kick off an argument. In reality, the only things that should be truly verboten in this general are Transformers, Coomershit, and Furshit, and then only because they already have generals better suited to them.
>>11816054>>11816055You're the one who was asking about the Naked Flesh bodies a few threads back? Didn't you read the responses to your question before buying? Both Partio and Pomock were MMS3rd Smalls; Pomock is Flesh Color 5, while Partio is 4.
>>11816080yeah that was me and i believe i already bought it by the time i got answer and/or understood the charts i found. but i didn't have the time to unpack them until now. however, i was smart enough to not trust myself and got the black blank body as a backup. but i shipped that one via surface so will take more time.did they make the naked bodies in different sizes too?
>>11815790Don't care. WHERE ARE MY ALICE GEAR MEGAMIS KOTOOOOOOOOO
>>11816087>did they make the naked bodies in different sizes too?Yes. They also made "swimsuit" blank bodies, as well as a solid white and solid black one (though I think they were only for the MMS1st body).>however, i was smart enough to not trust myself and got the black blank body as a backup.Like I said, I'm pretty sure the solid black is only for the MMS1st body, so it'll be the same size as the one you already have, just in black. The MMS1st bodies (notable for their clip-on boobs and boxier upper torso) are intended for the earliest generations of Shinki, like the original Arnval and Strarf. The MMS3rd bodies were a running change, introduced at Light Armor Wave 3 (actually debuting with Partio and Pomock, then being used on the Valkyrie sisters in the mainline Wave 11) and notable for their "boob vest" design, slightly better proportions, and two size classes ("Tall" for normal-sized characters, similar in height to the old 1st bodies, and "Small" for loli characters). Both Partio and Pomock were designed by BLADE (same dude who is doing the Puni Mofu designs), and use the 3rd Small bodies to emulate his chibi/loli art style; unfortunately, the MMS3rd bodies tend to be the most sought after ones because of their improvements over the MMS1st ones and their backwards compatibility with the older Shinki, and the Small bodies in particular were already rare, so finding them on the aftermarket in 2026 is going to be difficult and expensive - I'm only seeing MMS1sts up on eBay right now.The body you want for Pomock will look exactly like the one on the right of my image here (the one on the left is an MMS3rd Tall body for comparison), except you're looking for skin color 4 instead of 2. Note the boobs in the package - they're worn over the top instead of clip-on.
>>11816176Forgot my pic. Again, these are both MMS3rd bodies, just the left is a Tall while the right is a Small.
>>11815844You will when the furfags take over thanks to "semantics">>11816071My guy, the literal translation isn't a description. The mecha musume term was literally created in reference to three things, Gundam girls, Busou Shinki, and Strike Witches. Not Drossel, not Polynian, it's not about robots, it's about girls in mecha armor.Do you have such an aversion to a basic request that your brain breaks every time someone asks to not spam what op has on multiple occasions to specifically not post? >>11816072>the imaginary line that the kits were designed by the same people for use with each other...I think we may actually on the same page though somehow...
>>11816191>the imaginary line that the kits were designed by the same people for use with each otherSo we should split the general into a Bandai and a Kotobukiya one, then?
I just think she's neat
>>11816191Skill issue, I can totally handle a few furry mecha musume. It's just a matter of a different faceplate and skin color/texture, honestly- I think I've seen a few around, actually. I'm in it for the mecha armor.
>>11816191>take overNigger, the furries have one line. They aren't taking over anything. Plus those furry kits are designed to accept armor parts from MDs making them completely on topic even with your autistic definitions since they would be one of the 'friends' mentioned in the thread title. Also where do the other Koto girlpla kits go with your idea?Arcanadea isn't even a little mecha musume yet this is where they are discussed.
>>11816286>making them completely on topicNot according to the global rules.
>>11816296Go read the rules again.
>>118162964chan's flat tho why would the globe matter
>>11816296You may want to read those global rules again - they removed that rule about ten years ago. Furry can be posted on any board so long as it's not outright pornographic, and actual furry porn is allowed on /b/.What rock have you been sleeping under the past decade?
>>11816068Actually yeah, there is one maid body that came out this year, or last year, it even came with a broom.
>>11816191>You will when the furfags take over thanks to "semantics"While I hear what you're saying and agree somewhat in spirit, in actual reality this sort of thing will self-regulate. Kemopla are a niche among non-tourist girlpla enthusiasts, so you'll never see too terribly much of the stuff here in the first place. Actual faggot furries who try to get into the hobby won't stick around because there's not a dextrous or artistic bone in most of their bodies, so they'll quickly fall out of the hobby like the literal tourists they are. It's not going to be like the FGC community where one singular furry faggot being relatively okay at fighting games creates an icon for all the other faggots to rally around and stink up the entire genre because of.

Finished up Kagutsuchi. That shield is hella unwieldy, but I've been using hard plastic hand only so far.One of the thigh armors is kinda loose and it keeps sliding down, but I may have shaved the part too much while removing the nub. She's a handful with so many bits to move around that it kinda makes me prefer her unarmored mode more despite loving both designs of her and the mech.

>>11817551Well, at least you know she's naturally hairless down there - smooth as a baby's bottom.
>>11816678Ngl she's more interesting than the oni. Charmed can have a "no seriously I'm not a cat (nya)" buddy. The oni didn't really get me to start with, and just how much they whiffed the sculpt finished the argument. It's like they rushed her out the door somehow, given how much more recent her first appearance was, and the sculpt suffered as a result.
>>11817502I didn't realize the human parts set body is out-of-the box compatible with Aoshima's Macross girls. My head is filling with new possibilities.
>>11817587Slapping the Macross girls' heads onto the Kemopla human body works (just be sure to use one of the two necks included with the body, not the VF Girl's neck stump), but the tails of the Voldorian characters are too small to fit into the peg hole in the back, so you'll have to use the Khao Manee's tail like I did with the Kairos gal here if you want a properly nude alien cat-girl. The Kemopla human body has all four breast sizes used by ALL of the current Macross gals (including small like Reina, or massive like the two König Monster gals), so it's just a matter of matching the skin colors.I should also warn you that the actual cat (and wolf) parts aren't as reverse-compatible with the Macross girls' bodies as it looks here - the neck peg is a TINY bit too big to fit into the Kemopla neck piece, so mind got jammed and took a bit of effort to detach again; likewise, the legs below the thighs are completely incompatible with the Kemopla ones because Kemopla uses a "Male" connection (as in, it has the peg on that end) from upper thigh to lower thigh/knee, while the Macross girls (at least Kairos, Skuld, and Super Messiah) have the inverse, with the "Female" connection on the upper thigh and "Male" on the lower.

>>11817748We'll just have to wait, hopefully. I've been considering getting the figma, but I'd rather have her as a model kit.
There's worse things to do on a wet afternoon than build an Acerby.
>>11817604All good information, I just put the head on the kemopla body, with the biggest tits because personal preference. I do love this new trend of having a blank/doll body for everything since I also own dolls and it's just more opportunities to use those clothes. It's weird that I don't recall Aoshima ever advertising that the there is any compatibility between the two lines, unless I missed it.
>>11817514I ended up buying her from there, as much as I dislike giving HLJ business.>>11817551You know, I never cared for her design but this image changed my mind. There's a couple of pre-owned on AmiAmi for cheap, so into this month's order she goes.
>>11817733Yeah, that's another MMS1st body, so you're going to be in the same situation where it's too tall for Pomock. That body's also in pretty high demand, though - if you can get one of the "EX set" girls (Waffebunny, Waffedolphin, Tsugaru, Fort Bragg, Grapprap, or Schmetterling), that would be perfect for them, since the old EX sets were heads and armor with no bodies (which means they should still be pretty cheap). I recommend Fort Bragg (the original, not the Dusk variant, which comes with her own body).
>>11817868>I never cared for her designShe's a cute little imp - the first Arcanadea kit I ever got, and still in my top 3 for favorite designs. What didn't you like about her?
>>11818171>What didn't you like about her?Honestly the kit just always looked a little awkward, like it was a bunch of other kits mashed together. Now I've accepted that the asymmetrical legs are just part of the line's aesthetic but it weirded me out at first. I actually started with the Lumitea recolor and having built a few now I just wanted to circle back to one of the earlier kits that I didn't pick up. Being available inexpensively makes it easier, even if I end up not being crazy about the end result I didn't sink much money into it.

>>11818190She's an imp, not a succubus. Soffiera's the one with the "trying to seduce their Master" personality; Velretta is the tomboyish tsundere who gets outright embarrassed by outward acts of affection.

They did make a loli model but imo it's pretty ugly in face and design.>>11818176>a bunch of other kits mashed together.I would disagree on this i think they go really well with Lumitea. Lumitea - symmetrical and orderly like the good guy angels they are, Velretta - assymetry and chaotic like the demons. It makes sense to me.What is a bunch of kits mashed together is Kotobukiya releasing additional kits to supplement these and they COMPLETELY look out of place and make designs look like absolute ass if you attach them. What drew me in in the first place when this line started was fairly grounded armour designs which is pretty rare imo. Sadly they kind of veered off that route since then. Soffiera is still interesting to me in that respect, albeit expensive. And the bird lady is kind of sexy, but otherwise i havent been interested about the rest since im not into monster girls that much.
>>11818284>But shes not tallShorter.
>USAGS has high hip leotard sloot Sestieh in stock.Had no idea, was able to snag two $58 shipped using shop app discounts.
>>11818284>They did make a loli model but imo it's pretty ugly in face and designTo the dungeons you go
>>11817882>the old EX sets were heads and armor with no bodiesthat would be perfect indeed. i'll put them on my shopping list for the next time i order used stuff.i also put some clothes on her normal body. works somewhat well, but it rides up at the back a bit.

>>11817785Hey, I arranged an Acerby Type-X as a birthday present (won't come in until early July because of shipping issues). It can get any more worse than that because of lots and lots of parts, but I chose the Type-X because it refines the Wireless Weapons to be like how you imagine them to work.
Just finished my first 30ms kit, still impresses me how good all the fittings are with Bandai kits. I know the joints are supposed to be tight, but it feels like I'm gonna break her while I try to pose her, can't imagine she'd be that fragile.
>>11818645Check the head core. 30MS joint fit is pretty good so you shouldn't have any issues, but the first batch of them had overly tight head cores that resulted in the neck ball being twisted off.It should have a slit cut into the cylinder that takes in the ball joint.
>>11818648Oh yeah it definitely had the slit, I remember seeing several posts of people breaking their head joints, had me spooked for a bit. One thing that's giving me trouble is trying to swap out hands, haven't been able to pull these two bits apart.
>>11818661The pegs on the wrist may have a special bump on them to make them a bit tighter. If yours is "too tight" you can try trimming that bump off and it should be better. The very same bump can cause skin-tone forearms to split near the wrist if you'll ever buy them.
>>11818665I'll have to keep that in mind, I guess it wasn't THAT hard to pull off, I was just scared of breaking it lol. I wasn't expecting this kind of mechanism for the hands, figured they'd just be ball joints.
>>11817785nice. I've been waiting goddamn months for my type-E preorder to come in stock so I can bash her with some spare 30MS parts I've had lying around for the better part of a year
>>11817754Sad to see this new Silva one is also a figure.
>>11816461I expected way more FAGs.>>11818171Personally, I love her, she was my first girlpla from Koto and now I got kits from every line but FAG.>>11818190The fuck? She isn't a succubus though.
>>11818665Yeah, i have the white/black extra limbs and they're split now.>>11818645The first line from 30ms were a mixed bag of tolerances when it comes to how tight they are, but with the second line of girls they fixed a lot of issues, like the afformentioned neck pegs breaking (whcih happened to me) and really dialed in tightness of the limbs, it was perfect, not too tight and not too loose. Posing was a delight.>>11818362The open mouth faces are just ugly to me sorry, the one with the fire is even worse. And her proportions are less like a loli and feel more like a dwarf. Maybe my loli standarts are just too high. Why the hell did they give her a bigger chest than Soffiera too. And overall the large sleeves and arabic boots just aren't flattering to her silhouette. To me it's a really disappointing design, the blank grey prototype got my hopes up way too high.
>>11819278And can someone explain to me what is this fucking colour scheme??? I was gonna 100% buy a Soffiera alrt, but what the fuck were they smoking. It's like they had leftover plastic dye that was about to expire and had to use it or lose it. I'll never forgive them for this.
>>11818190>>11818227>they think she's a succubusDo you guys even read the bios or official 4komas? She's an imp, like that other anon said. Bratty, trickster personality (who likes pranking Lumitea), a bit of a tomboy, and is a Tsundere who has a crush on her Master but is too embarrassed to actually say anything. No idea why she dresses like a slut, but she's definitely no succubus - as far as I can tell, there isn't an actual succubus character (yet. Right now, we have an imp/lesser demon and some kind of manticore for our Demons, and a lesser angel, as Seraphim, and a...chimera...for our Angels).
>>11819281I own her (but haven't built her yet), and the colorscheme isn't actually all that horrible - it's just the hair color that's shit. Considering her preorder bonus hair color looks far more natural on her than that nasty green, I'm convinced it was done on purpose to drive up preorder sales.
>>11819286100% right, the green is what really throws it off. Though i find the blue skirt and sleeve parts a really boring choice too. For instance on the original they had light blue and white inner sleeves as accents. Now its more hemogenous and all blend together.I didn't know about the pre-order hair actually, that is exactly how it should look by default, those bastards!>>11819281also i meant Velretta there not Soffiera. Bigger than Vleretta's chest.
Will they make whoever this is into a kit? I like her.
>>11819290see >>11816678 - apparently her name is Lephirka. She's not listed on the Arcanadea official page, so as far as we know she's a game-only character (like Justice was for Busou Shinki Battlemasters MK2). Maybe she'll get a release further down the line.On an unrelated note, I just noticed there's an "Arcanadea Engage Fes" event now listed on the website; there's going to be a limited edition metallic blue version of both Velretta and Lumitea ReAct as festival exclusives, similar to that blue six-winged Lumitea that they gave away as a lottery prize a while back. No pictures of what they'll actually look like yet, but there's a disclaimer that both MAY be sold at a later date, too, "subject to availability".
>>11819282>Do you guys even read the bios or official 4komas?Nope, I bought a design. If they failed to communicate that in theory design language it's in them; she's a flat succubus in looks and fluff isn't saving that.
>>11819297>she's a flat succubus in looksShe's an imp in looks, dude - short, flat, tiny wings, no tattoos anywhere, and nothing about the design screams "over-the-top sexy" like what you'd expect from a succubus.
>>11819314>nothing about the design screams "over-the-top sexy" like what you'd expect from a succubus. That's only true because she's flat, guy. None of the other things are requirements for succubi, either.
>>11819317>None of the other things are requirements for succubi, either.Generally, Succubi are the size of an average woman (or, in some stories, taller than a grown man), usually depicted with big tits, have large wings, and generally some form of tattoo or marking showing who they've been summoned by (as is the case with most demons who have been brought into this world via summoning; usually the mark is on the back of the hand or back of the neck, though manga likes to make it into womb tattoos. Removal or disruption of the marking de-summons them, and that applies to all demons). A demon who dresses a little skimpy isn't a succubus by default - demons (and angels) in general are usually depicted as being completely nude regardless of what subspecies they are.I'm sorry your coomer brain can't see a generic demon design without immediately jumping to "It's a sex demon!" when she's very much not built like one.
>>11819322Many basic "sexy demon" tropes have been so homogenized they don't really direct to a specific creature anymore. Velretta is fortunately pretty easy to identify since she's called an Imp practically everywhere, and her character is depicted being averse to lewd situations.Soffiera is funny because she's another vague demoness but because of her tail she is very specifically a manticore.
Started to build 30MS too and been loving them, but I gotta ask, what do you guys do with your sprues and boxes? just throw them out?
>>11819501A sane person would throw them out. I personally keep them around "just in case" I might need to fix something with sprue of the right color.
>>11819501Boxes get tossed unless I like the art, in which case I cut them up and proceed to never look at them again but at least my hoard take less space. Sprues are also cut up and tossed because I've yet to bother with the sprue goo trick and they're mostly worthless otherwise.
>>11819505>>11819511ok I heard of the sprue goo trick and was considering doing it, since they all seems to have uniformed colors I might just keep a few in different colors and throw the rest
>>11819518>I might just keep a few in different colors and throw the restReasonable, you shouldn't need much plastic, either. If you're smart with your snip your stash shouldn't take up too terribly much room. You'll want a bit more of the skin tone pieces though, they're where the technique is most useful.
>>11819522yeah I figured, I might keep a few boxes and just have one for each skin tone, thanks for the answers
I’m not a transformers fag but I kinda want this figureDoes it too closely resemble Elita-1 or does it just look like a big titty robot girl enough to where I can get away with owning it without feeling like a poser?
>>11819536Don't know ask the transformers thread
>>11819505>>11819501>>11819511I keep some small ones of different sizes around as trays to hold pieces while I'm building.
Were there any photos of the Arcanadea ninja oni as an unpainted sample somewhere? They usually liked to flex how good this line looks even without paint.
>>11819501keep some on hand to color match if you want to seam weld later by making sprue-goo, like for the flesh tones especially.https://youtu.be/PGYY7bTfFIE
>>11819501I keep the boxes but since other Bandai ones had to be pressed due to taking too much space, there is a risk that I might have to do the same to Sisters ones too. Sprues are actually quite useful source of rods (since many fragments are quite consistent 2.5 or 3mm ones) for customs and holding pieces or plugging holes for painting.
>>11819600totally, by the way should I do this as I build them or is it easy to do after the fact?
>>11819654>Sprues are actually quite useful source of rods (since many fragments are quite consistent 2.5 or 3mm ones) for customs and holding pieces or plugging holes for painting.oh didnt consider that, good to know. Also nice I ordered Fumina the other day
>>11819655You can do it after, just maybe don't glue the parts in question till you apply the goo in case you need to get it all up in thar.
>>11819536>feeling like a poseDon't know why you would feel like a poser. I like a lot of these mecha girls but don't know any of the lore and don't care. To me I just marvel at the art and engineering. I also want the Arcee version of that figure and don't give a shit about transformers.
>>11819536The head on that one is very obviously inspired by Elita-1, the vehicle mode shows its sexy'd-up Arcee roots, but that's about it. I'd recommend the EX-01 Plus version if you just want a big titty robot girl unless you really like these particular colors, she comes with a fully original head and you can pull off most of the vehicle bits from the robot mode. It's a very nice figure in its own right. It's also technically not really on topic here.
>>11819579Probably no photos, but in their video livestreams presenting new models they always have them unpainted, could check their official channel.
>>11819992Found the timestamp, skimming through the first they show is painted unfortunately. Dont know about the resthttps://www.youtube.com/live/tbmNhiUqJgA?si=VV-rpmu9UoFv56Zq&t=9284

And a look at the new hand sculpts for the Megalomaria Governor.
>>11820106Looks like they'll be two-piece hands with that backhand plate.
>>11819297Lol, are you serious? She's literally just Ines from Busou Shinki - a short, tomboyish gal who dresses like a slut but is actually a prude and a tsundere who's more interested in just goofing off and pranking people. That's very much NOT how succubi are depicted. Besides, like many other anons have already pointed out, she's literally called an Imp in all of the tie-in media. It's your own fault for not knowing what literally everyone else knew about her right when she was announced.
>>11820090I wonder what took so long. They announced her at Shizuoka back in May looking like she was ready to go, I expected pre-orders the following week.
>>11820088I'll never understand what Koto is trying to do with this line.>Make the bodies a general release.>But the clothes are a Koto shop exclusive.>Oh, here's another (?) line of clothes, but you have to buy another dress up body to get them.Is it just to filter gaijin or do they just hate money that much?
>>11820162Clothing as an accessory is a brand new idea to them for the most part. They essentially have fuck all clue what they're doing in terms of release schemes, factories, supply chains, etc. Give them another year and they'll probably have it figured out.
>>11820162I think this one is a set, so body and the school uniform. Many issues would be solved if they just opened up the Koto store to worldwide shipping.
>>11820162All they've really accomplished is giving more business to 1/10 clothing makers in China/Japan/Vietnam.
>>11820187>opened up the Koto store to worldwide shipping.Or, you know, make the clothes a general release I can order from one of the usual shops.>>11820217Pretty much. Most of the Azone, Hasuki, Snail Shell etc. 1/12 stuff works as long as it's not meant to be form fitting. Just some of the tiny closet stuff is really cute and I wish I could get it without hoping for a pre-owned at something approaching list price.
Nanaho might have the most convoluted hair build ever.
anyone here built here? i'm having issues with the left arm, with the armband the cuff is really floppy. is that normal?
>>11820166I feel like they're outsourcing most of the clothes, even the non-collab ones, whatever Kotobukiya wants to make a vertical Integration or not is anyone's guess, but most likely not.
Kinda new to all this. Is there anywhere where you can buy just straight up blank bodies, nothin' else? Also are there any resources for custom hair and what not? Or is the only strat there to just learn 3d printing? I wanna try gettin' into making some custom ones.
>>11820457You can find all sorts of blank bodies on Ali Express. Most tend to be fully naked bodies intended for use with doll clothing though, which can be absurdly expensive if your body is in 1/12 scale. As for hair, you can try to learn how to make doll wigs using glue and yarn (plenty of tutorials for that on YouTube), but if you want plastic hair that's probably something best left for sculpting with putty or 3D printing.
>>11820457You can buy some of the Sousai Shoujo Tienen dress-up bodies, which are compatible with most Megami Device heads; MD now also sells "Chassis" bodies which are basically two bodies in one box (a "clothed" one and a completely nude one, pic related). Aoshima's Kemopla line released a "Human Parts" body that's just a nude body with a hole for a tail in the back and multiple breast sizes, though it currently only comes in one skin color (there's a second one about to release soon). There's also a bunch of doll bodies that can work, or actually nude/lewd 3d printed parts that you can find on Ali Express and the such.Given that's Puni Mofu Lang in your pic - a Megami Device - I recommend trying to track down a Chassis body first; just make sure you're picking the one with the correct skin tone for her.
>>11820457Blank body options through official means are limited but good- the Chassis kits are lovely, and the Dress Up Body line are okay alternatives. You can, however, get better blank bodies by picking up third party creator parts on Booth. More expensive and harder to get (not hard, just tedious- need a proxy), but the sculpts are immaculate from the good creators (like, say, Muscuto or Koi). For hair, you either buy stuff from the same Booth creators, sculpt it like most do, or turn into one of those Booth creator chads yourself and 3D design + print your own. The Booth stuff often has bootleg versions on Aliexpress, but they only ever do skin color A, so if you need it for the other 4 skin colors (like the Gin you have there who is C) Ali isn't really an option.
any blogs or videos on kit customization? I want to paint and resculpt a kit I just finished, eliminating lines, etc. but this requires turning some hinges into snap-fit hinges (or learning how to paint a partially assembled model), before I go around cutting and gluing my kit I want to see some examples
>>11820091In an attempt to recreate the miko hakama, she ended up just wearing a loincloth and hakama-chaps while going commando. LEWDEST MEGALOMARIA
>>11820457>>11820473>>11820476>>11820512Speaking of blank/nude bodies, while the skin tone was slightly off for Kairos, it looks like the Kemopla Human Parts body is a 100% perfect match for Frontier König Monster Girl, so the weirdly shaped tits she comes with by default won't be an issue once I find a good outfit to stick her in. Any suggestions for that, by the way? Given she already comes with a serving tray and her default outfit vaguely resembles a (very skimpy) waitress outfit (which seems to suggest she works in a diner as her cover job when not doing secret missions for the S.M.S.), maybe I should find her a real one to wear?
>>11820706Azone not long did a maid outfit meant for their Type-G bodies, which are chunkier than their standard ones. Could be a good fit.
>>11820663Not really, no. You have many channels out there (mostly Japanese) that show the process of their customs projects, but rarely do they do anything that amounts to a how-to or tutorial. Japanese Twitter users will somehow post step-by-steps of some weird joint conversion or other such annoying thing they had to do, but that's about it. The most you'll find by looking at the content customizers put out there is inspiration for things to try- usually some sort of offhand comment saying "I did this by doing that" attached to a nifty picture. Same with the videos. Customization is very much so either trial and error, or something you learn by telling people what you want to do and asking how they'd do it. Painting is a bit of a different story. Painting our lil' ladies is borderline the same as painting an anime garage kit. You can learn most techniques (skin shading or skin tight clothing effects for example) by watching videos or looking up guides on garage kit painting. You can also more easily find videos of people painting girlpla too (yuchi0321 is a good channel for that). You won't find much in terms of resources for sculping your gaggle of gals, but the general idea is exactly the same as sculpting anything else, so you can go look up sculpting tutorials for garage kits, statues, miniatures, etc. Lastly, basically everything about customization Gunpla transfers over to this side of the plamo hobby 1-1, so you can also look at that sort of thing for ideas as well.
Styko continues to leak IQ points. Now in 1/6 scale!
>>11820818She still have some left? Looks like original was a genius.
Putting together Kuon's long hair was nerve-wracking stuff.
>>11819449Bruh. Give it up. She's not a manticore. literally nobody but you thinks that. She's got a scorpion motif, thus the tail and the fact her scythe turns into a pincer.I'm glad you finally accepted that vel isn't a succubus, now you just need to stop being retarded about soffi.
>>11819296Blumitea didn't have extra wings. The lumias with extra wings are bootleg figures. Also they'd be morons to not make a kit of lephirka at some point. Ngl I'd rather have her than the seemingly rushed oni...
>>11817569And here I keep hoping one day we got a manga (or at least light novel) that is kinda like Medarot but with mecha musume instead. They keep making and releasing 'slice of life' type stories (the FAGs anime that I hate so much, lab days, etc...).
Didn't catch the news about this, but Soulingtoys (the makers of Daytime Meteor) came out with their second kit, titled Dark Moon. It's a sexy dark nun who wields a scythe and her mount/animal is a pretty sick-looking gargoyle that wields a spear. She even comes with her own black crescent moon throne and the gargoyle also has a pretty big stand too (I guess to make up for it being smaller than the dragon).
Almaodress pre-orders open "soon".
>>11821007But I've never posted about her before...
>>11820818The decline must be studied.
>>11820824Whilst her body grew, her brain cell remained the same size.
>>11820151>"No, dude, he keeps saying... look at this unrelated character missing the design elements causing the debate!">Replies to short post>still manages to read none of itLet's try this again in a different context so you don't boot loop.A manufacturer makes a model kit. It's obvious even to people that don't know about submarines that it's some kinda stubby military submarine, maybe someone that is in the know can name a class, even. Well, the guy who designed the kit didn't want to make a submarine, he wanted to make a dirigible for exploring Jupiter, so he chopped off several meters of the hull, made the sail skinny and released the kit with a book showing drawings of the inside of his dirigible and a doodle of it floating in Jupiter's atmosphere. He's created fluff, a meta truth separate from the physical object, but it still looks like a submarine because the proportions and size of those aren't fixed. Now, you buy the kit and build it, is there a dirigible on your desk or a submarine? The answer is that you've got both, a dirigible because the designer said so, but also a submarine because he didn't convey what he wanted to with the shape of what he sculpted and stories won't change that. They can call Velretta an elephant, a car or a boar and justify it in a side booklet, she still looks the way she looks no matter what. Trust your lying eyes.
>>11821290You're right - let's try this again.See this? This is what Velretta is, except she looks cute and isn't completely naked. Does this look like a succubus to you too?
>>11821295>This is what Velretta isNo, there again, that's the fluff; it's what she's SUPPOSED to be, allegedly. It looks like either Velretta or a typical succubus, which is exactly my point. Making her cute isn't a minor thing, it's a lot of important changes that make a huge difference and aligns her more with a succubus or at least a generic anime "demon." See this? This is a succubus, and if you can't draw more parallels between this and Velretta than between Velretta and the thing you posted you're being straight up disingenuous. Also, aren't those wings pretty proportionally large? Someone was telling me imps have tiny wings above, is that not the case?
>>11821325Ok, then why is it that LITERALLY EVERYONE ELSE both here and in Japan knew exactly what Velretta was supposed to be from Day 1, even before any side material released stating it? You're the only person here who's having a hard time with this. A succubus' whole thing is about sex appeal, line what you posted; Velretta's design is all about "cute", and I'm not sure why that's flying over your head (and yours alone).>Also, aren't those wings pretty proportionally large? Someone was telling me imps have tiny wings above, is that not the case?Wing size is inconsistent - original depictions of imps had tiny wings, but the more modern take gives them wings proportionally large enough to make it believable that they can be used for flight. Incidentally, Velretta includes both - tiny cutesy wings in normal mode and big ones in Wiliz mode.
>>11821352While I'm at it, the defining characteristics of an imp are their short stature (which varies from source to source - sometimes they're still roughly human-sized, sometimes they're small enough to sit on your shoulder), a spearlike tail, bat wings, claws (usually), horns (usually either nubs or ramlike), fangs, and a "devilish" or "impish" nature, liking to pull (malicious) pranks on people. They're also always depicted as either being completely nude at all times or only wearing a loincloth. For comparison, Velretta's outfit is just a thong and a bra - that's as close to nude as she's allowed to be while staying PG.Succubi, on the other hand, are noted for being human-sized or taller, sometimes having wings (not always; they don't always have tails, either), usually a big bust, a hypnotic stare, and always have seductive personalities designed to lure in hapless victims so they can drain their life force. They aren't usually naked until they're about to have sex with a victim, choosing instead to dress in clothing that emphasizes their natural curves and usually shows off their cleavage. Again, compare this to Velretta, who isn't wearing anything that's inherently sexy - she's wearing the bare minimum required for modesty, not something that emphasizes her sex appeal. Combine that with her short stature and the personality literally written on her box, and it should be obvious which of the two she's supposed to be. Which, again, everyone knew except for you.
>Incels fighting over retarded bullshit that the majority don't give a fuck about for multiple threads long.Get a life fuckers.
>>11821352>Ok, then why is it that LITERALLY EVERYONE ELSEThere's another guy in this very thread who thought so as well, and the Japs would've had the benefit of stream comments and article descriptions. I'm pretty sure I saw the flat demon comments a few times here as well, but I can't be bothered to find the announcement thread.>Wing size is inconsistent Ah, but succubi are required to be busty, meaty, mature, and seriously sexy at all times, that's consistent? Your argument really hinges on that, and it's not an across the board thing, especially if they're supposed to be young.>Velretta's design is all about "cute", and I'm not sure why that's flying over your head It's because I struggle to find a child in lingerie cute. It's trying to be sexy which then swings around to being gross.>she looks cute>Velretta's outfit is just a thong and a bra - that's as close to nude as she's allowed to be while staying PG.>Again, compare this to Velretta, who isn't wearing anything that's inherently sexySo a thong and a bra is cute, not sexy to you? Would she be cuter if she were naked? Please answer yes to either of those, I need to imagine your face while you wrestle with the dissonance. I'll say again, you can only even begin to form this doublethink because she has no curves; her outfit is sexual as hell. You and I might not think she's hot, but in Japan, the land of the lolicon, you also can't say that looking childish is definitely not meant to be sexualized.>While I'm at it, the defining characteristics of an imp are... a spearlike tailYou just posted an imp without a tail at all. The rest of those things are off and on shared with succubi and fantasy demons. >Succubi, on the other hand, are [inconsistencies and things that he has to be told AGAIN]. >>11821367>He (yous) without giving (you)s like a passive aggressive womanHide the reply chain, bitch tits. >>11821389>but succubi are required to be busty, meaty, mature, and seriously sexy at all times, that's consistent?NTA, but yes - Succubi feed on sexual energy and need to look as attractive as possible toure in their prey; Imps typically swarm prey in groups, rip it apart, and feed on flesh more like a school of piranhas.>You just posted an imp without a tail at allI recognize that icon - it's an imp from Pathfinder, and they DO have tails. That one's just posed funny. Not bothering reading the rest of your shit, because it's irrelevant - the two of you can argue back and forth all week, and it wouldn't change the fact that Velretta is canonically an imp whether you like it or not.
>>11821389>Would she be cuter if she were naked?I mean, people tend to find these things platonically cute, and they're naked too. They also happen to be the heavenly counterpart to imps - all demons are fallen angels, and an imp is a fallen cherub.

>>11821505Holy shit, I unironically want it now. They even named it "Bloody Lily" lul.>>11821352I don't want to be that anon, but while I do agree she's an imp, other than the Japs who had, y'know, the Japanese language to their advantage, fuckall nobody on the English side of things was calling Velretta an imp early on, or even for a while after she came out. I don't really care about either side of the argument winning, but you know there's more famous monstergirl-centric series out there with diminutive/flat/etc succubi designs that people are familiar with than there are monstergirl-centric series that go through the trouble of differentiating between full succubi and imp species, right? You've got like, two whole series that non-Japs are truly familiar with that differentiate between the two species (MGE/MGQ), and even then the percentage of demongirl design enjoyers out there who have played either of those is extremely small. Otherwise most non-Japs have more material to draw from that would classify Velretta either as a succubus, or a generic demongirl (and anybody who ISN'T familiar with any kind of monster girl material, which is most people, just think most demongirls are succubi). This slant gets even worse with actual normies. NOW, you two can keep on arguing about this completely pointless topic until the final few stars blink out of existence for all I care, but YOU, anon, need to realize the knowledge and experience the likes of you or I possess on monstergirl species is EXTREMELY niche and not what your average enjoyer of the concept has.
I get that the market for boypla is smaller than girlpla, but I really wish it was at least somewhat served. (Yes I know there are robots and knights and big burly guys etc. but you know what I mean)
anyone have Gods Order Gabriel? how is she? if you've got the chrome gold version, how's the gating?
>>11821944They literally had to digitally touch up photos on the storepage, but you can see the shitty gates and scraped off plating in the reflection. Pic related, look at the reflection of the heel. This is the only one I know of and it's on the non-armored feet from the back, so I might be over-dramatizing how bad it is. Take my response with a grain of salt, as I don't have her.
>>11821959I'm getting Strange Journey vibes from the helmet and upper torso
>>11821944This could have been a very elegant design if it was mostly white instead of that injection gold.
>>11822002As bad as injection gold is, the biggest injustice to the non-plated version is that it's all the same color. Plated gets 2 or 3 shades of gold. I would gladly buy the non-plated one if they kept the different gold shades, but this line is really keen on self sabotage.
>>11822008I'd love to have one even with the lack of color variation, but I just can't justify dropping $90-120 burger bucks on it
>>11821944>>11821959I wanted her, but ended up reconsidering. The injection gold color looks shitty, and the gold chrome plated version is inevitably going to look bad once the parts are removed from the gates. It's a shame - she was the only design from that line I was interested in.
>>11821959damn that reflection is awful. Editing the image like that to hide shit is cheap...
>>11821470Sexy looks different to different people, you would naturally expect a wide range of body types.>CanonReading comprehension.>>11821487You know, if they had gone further and given her stubby fat child proportions I'd agree she'd look like an imp. That'd make her look even less appealing but could lead to her being good for girlpla army building or something. Going the other way and stretching her like an OG Shinki might also have worked, her design just seems like a half measure as it is.
>>11821505That looks like a nightmare to even attempt posing
>>11822523>You know, if they had gone further and given her stubby fat child proportions I'd agree she'd look like an imp.In all likelihood, that's probably what they wanted to do from the start, but she came out before the Puni Mofu craze showed them that people would buy a loli kit. It's telling that, as soon as they saw all those Mao kits selling like hotcakes, they paused development on Aruaril, created artwork for a whole new, unrepentantly loli character (Gii), announced she was going to be in the anime ahead of almost half of the characters that came before her, found her a voice actress, and rushed like madmen to get a physical kit of her out the door while the iron was still hot (and actually succeeded in having her POs completely sell out twice, making her the highest selling Arcanadea kit of their entire line to date). If they had known there was such a demand earlier, when the line was just finding its legs and Velretta was in development, I'm certain they would have made her small like Gii, (in much the same way that I'm convinced Valona from Busou Shinki probably would have ended up on an MMS3rd Small body if she'd come out a year later, given she's written in her bio as being Strar 's "little sister" and has the personality of Francesca Luccini from Strike Witches, an actual loli character created by the same artist who designed her). It was all about timing.
>>11819297>fluffUhh...bro? Buddy, pal? You're aware that every single Girlpla line out there is tied to "fluff", right? They all have media tie-ins, be it anime, comics, drama CDs, games, and whatnot. Every character has a bio printed on their box stating their established personality. Busou Shinki (which wasn't Girlpla, but was the predecessor), 30 Minutes Sisters, Alice Gear Aegis, Megami Device, Arcanadea, Frame Arms Girls, and so on, all have media tie-ins. It's on you if you're buying something blind and just making assumptions about characters - that's like buying a Gundam kit without making any attempt at looking at anything else that's connected to it and then making stupid comments about the mech you got...and getting mad when everyone else corrects you because you were too stupid to fact-check yourself.
>>11814973Why the fuck am I getting attracted to plastic model kits whats wrong with me
>>11822788welcome home
>>11822793T-thanks bro... I have the urge to buy more model kits now
>>11822788Would you still feel weirded out by it if they looked a little less like models? Maybe more like figures or statues?
>>11823070Mmm... What's the current status of invisible joints, anyway? Are they still just silicone time bombs waiting to split?
>>11823085Sadly, yes - it's an inevitability that I don't think will ever be solvable. For the joints to work, whatever material that's covering them needs to be flexible enough to move and stretch with them, but that means that wear and tear is going to inevitably cause it to rip and split no matter what you do. The only reason the concept works with real human skin is because we're constantly regenerating the damage done to our skin and muscles, something an artificial material doesn't have the benefit of being able to do.
>>11823151Not sure why people keep going the sex doll silicone route instead of something sturdier like whatever they use for barbie legs.
>>11820298anyone? pic related, it feels weird to be loose but i can't see how it could stay in place there's a little notch and indentation but nothing that would fixate it.ignore the nub, it's been sanded by now

Will the new childrens toys importer laws affect us?
>>11823612From what I've seen online, highly likely
>>11823612Talk to your store about it. They've been using these codes for the last year, the new stuff going into affect is just that they have to have it filed in advance now instead of on request.
>>11823612Do we know where this "testing" is done?Just out of curiosity.
>>11823668The testing when they stop a package that has incorrect certs? Probably at customs I would guess. They do have tests for some toxins and drugs on site. It involves tearing your shit up though.
You guys got a peek of her earlier, but I've finally finished my Kairos gal after years of her sitting in backlog hell. Some thoughts:- There's a LOT of parts left on her runners; looks like they packed a(n almost) complete normal VF-31A Kairos kit in here, added a few new runners for the pilot and the bits needed for her to interact with it, and then instruct you to dump everything else. Weird.- I've heard people saying for years that these kits are sticker hell, and I thought they were exaggerating. Turns out that's 100% accurate - and while I used them this time around, I'm probably just going to hand-paint my Skuld kit when I finally get around to her, as these look really tacky.- I definitely have some concerns over tolerances for certain parts - the Voldorian pilot's cat tail is very thin and sits a bit too snugly in her rear to move all that freely, and the really thin Battleroid arm construction worries me.- She doesn't come with her own base, though she definitely needs one.- Fighter mode is neat. GERWALK is decent, even if I think the missile launchers getting moved to the handlebars she holds on to is a bit goofy. Battleroid mode (seen here) feels very Busou Shinki-esque, and reminds me a lot of the Vic Viper twins (too bad you can't have the armor turn into an actual Battleroid when the cat's not sitting in it).- Not a huge fan of the partsforming bits - to transform the vehicle, it relies heavily on swapping out certain parts to "cheat" it. I get why it had to be done this way - with the core robot mostly not existing anymore due to having to become armor for the girl, the original transformation scheme for the Kairos is impossible - but I still think it could've been done better.Overall, she's an okay kit, but definitely showing her age. Gonna do the Frontier König Monster Girl next, if that wasn't obvious from my earlier pic.

>>11823612Is this just the US, or some kind of multinational thing that will hit Canada as well? Usually they just throw a hissy fit over very obvious loli porn here but everything else is unmolested (except the insane taxes)
>>11823612The obvious solution is for companies to start labeling everything as Adult Toys.
>>11823803>Sir, Anon just ordered 15kg of "adult toys" from Japan... again
HOWLING FLAVORED PUNI MOFUPLEASE BLADE I NEED THIS
>>11823812Technically, Lang is "Adult Howling" with longer hair and (like Mao) a different color scheme. Would be nice if we got that "Howling MKII" that BLADE doodled a decade ago, but that had a whole mecha attached to it that we're unlikely to see.
>>11823812WHO THE FUCK IS THIS CUTIEEEEEEEEEEBLAAAAAAAAAAADE!!!!!!
>>11823795>insane taxesI mean, it's annoying, but most of EU and South America seem to have it worse. The current freakout is a US thing, but eventually our retarded government might take pointers. Like a couple of years ago when Tamiya lacquer spray paint got banned here for some crap about VOCs that had been on the books for years but they just suddenly decided to enforce.
>>11823828>WHO THE FUCK IS THIS CUTIEEEEEEEEEELiterally just see the image posted under that one - it's just Howling in Lang's outfit.
Kuon's seifuku top has got the two most diabolically small pieces I've ever handled. Itty bitty balls to hold her lapels in place, and they are microscopic!
>>11823612Model kits are in the affected code but if they've already been shipping to the US for the last year they probably already have their paperwork up to date.
>>11823922Leave the balls on a bit of runner, use that as a handle while attaching to the lapel part, the snip it off, thus preventing the ball from flying off into space never to be seen again. Koto actually posted this method on their SST xwitter account at one point, so they know they fucked up including such a small part (with zero spares!).
>>11824004If I get her real school uniform variant at some point, I'll try that.
>>11824004Different anon, but thanks for the tip. I got her regular uniform and Maria cosplay recently, I'll remember this for when I build them.
I really want to find some good looking robotic limbs for my girls or at least one custom. I saw a really cool one where the forearm opened to reveal missiles but now i can't find it of course. This one is pretty cool too though.
>>11815282>is model>is robot>is girlchecks out
In your opinion, is Kotobukiya Emulator worth it? Her range of movements is surely amazing but she seems to be a bit "naked" in options.
>>11824315The Megalomaria one? She's supposed to be a "nude" body of sorts - rather than being armed with a bazillion weapons and armor bits and looking outwardly robotic like other characters in the line, her whole thing is that she's an Another that disguises itself as humans to make it easier to hunt prey. As is such, she's barebones because she's designed for you to dress her up in outfits as "camouflage"; that being said, she's still 100% compatible with other Megalomaria weapon and armor packs, so if you wanted to deck her out, you have that option.
Reminds me of Zetton from Kaiju Girls.

>>11824596
>>11824587>>11824589Ooh, she's cool. Same series as the Falcon girl, from the looks of it. Never played Mecha Break, but I don't think either this gal or the other one are intended to be specific characters from the game so much as they are personifications of the mechs themselves.
>>11824622...And here she is. According to the wiki, she's the Panther, and she's made by the same in-universe manufacturer as the Falcon (Bifrost Industries). Wonder if they'll give us any mechs from the opposing companies somewhere down the line...
>>11824589Bit much for me but I won't pretend I'm not interested anyway.
Does non-girl 30 Minute stuff belong here? I just got a 30MF Rosan Knight and the Paladin upgrade, and I'm looking to maybe get more lil' roboknights. Are these guys sturdy?
>>11824682If it ain't girls, you can take it to one of the two Gunpla/plamo threads.
>>11824587>>11824589Nice, do want.>>11824622>personifications of the mechs themselvesIsn't that the original idea behind mecha musume? At the very least, FAGs are exactly that.
>>11824784>Isn't that the original idea behind mecha musume?Yeah, but it's not exclusive to that idea anymore; for example, some of the VF girls are literally characters from the series wearing their mechs as armor (which is actually something Klan Klein literally does in Frontier). You also have things like Busou Shinki who weren't all based off of preexisting vehicles and had their armor designed for them as-is right from the start. So of the three types, these two Mecha Break girls fall into the first category.
>>11824622>>11824629Only tangentially related but holy fuck I hate how they mismanaged this game so much.I wanted it to succeed and I wanted it to be my main online game, but somehow they managed to fuck it up.
>>11824826How so? I've never played it; I'm not even entirely sure what kind of game it is, just that it has mechs in it.
>>11824830Basically a hero shooter (with an extraction side-mode) and customizable pilot avatars. Mechs get cosmetic customization too.The game suffered from serious balancing issues and bots filling for players in real PvP matches, which led to situations where you'd be the only human player on your team, against a stack of somewhat decent human players. Then instead of simply getting rid of the bots, they cranked their AI up so you'd face enemies capable of perfectly tracking and headshotting you across the entire map.

>>11825864I don't like it either, but at the same time at least it's there. Indigo Jinrai didn't get an eyepatch despite having one in the anime
Just built Neverlia, I really like her but her shoulders and front hair piece likes to pop out of their sockets as soon as I move her, any tips on how to make them more secure? The rest of her is fine.
>>11825871A bit of paint/topcoat/clear nail polishglue to thicken the joints or socket up will do the trick.
>>11825872Okay that sounds easy enough, thanks I'll be trying that
>>11825866And I just wish they reissued the anime decals. Indigo Jinrai and the Materias have lace bodysuits out of the box, and they were given actual panties in the anime to at least still be friendly to slightly younger viewers (though not for kids, obviously). This is also how one would get Jinrai's eyepatch in the first place. When the anime went off the air, they can only be found secondhand, provided they could even be found unused. Really sucks Kotobukiy stopped making custom decals for later Frame Arms Girls.
>>11825866>Indigo Jinrai didn't get an eyepatch despite having one in the animeAnd so I have to figure out a way to customize her to get her to be the based chuuni she is in the show.
>>11825912Seems like a fix you could implement with electrical tape and a hobby knife.
>>11825864wait, the eyepatch is a fucking sticker?
>>11825923Yeah, it's just strange they didn't have an included face plate like that. Sort of like that one included with Susanowo. I expected it to be there in the box.
>>11826007Jinrai(kit) was likely designed before Jinrai(anime).
>>11826144>likelyShe absolutely was - I owned the kit before the anime was even announced. She was red originally; later releases used the anime colors.
>>11826184Pretty sure indigo Jinrai also came before the anime, judging by her included faceplates. If they were to do an updated version of her like they did for Gourai and Styko, I bet she'd have an eyepatch.
>>11814973I'm thinking about buying lirinel but her face is so ugly. Please say it doesn't look this bad in person.
>>11826466
>>11826394That's pretty much her, yeah. Her faceplates are pretty bland and lacking in character like most of the line until recently.
>>11826466Her neck must be killing her. Imagine having to support something that big and unwieldly on your head - and imagine that those arms are articulated, meaning you're getting whiplash every time they move around.
>>11826630why the long face?
>>11826646it's funny how much more personality the girls got as time went on, obviously the main idea was blank girls to make your own girls with, but they clearly looked a the competition and realized they could put more personality to get more sales.Love Sestieh btw, wish she didn't always instantly sell out everywhere.
>>11826652>it's funny how much more personality the girls got as time went onSame thing happened with Busou Shinki - in the beginning, the characters only came with two faces - "sleeping" and "dead fish stare" (and, in the case of the EX bodiless sets, just a single staring face). As the line progressed and face sculpts improved, you started getting 3-4 different faces on some characters (usually a more lively neutral face, a shouting/"action" one, and an eyes-closed one).
>>11826005Yeah, super lame.
Anyone got the Front Mission slut yet?
>>11826546I always assume heavy mecha armor is supported by hyper-efficient thrusters or anti-gravity tech.(Hope the girlpla's neck is fine though.)

>>11826652>>11826787Same also happened with 30MM and 30MF, bandai know its only a small group of nip fans who even have the ability to buy 10 kits to make 1 girl
Question. After finding my old shinkis while digging through storage, how compatible are parts if you want to put em on 30MS or MD? Went and ordered a few and while building the 30MS, some of those leg and arm parts looked a heck of a lot like the ones shinkis have
>>11827239Sadly, they're really not all that compatible - the pegs aren't really the right size, and I doubt you want to start shaving parts off of your Shinki to make them fit. If you want modern, compatible Busous Shinki, Megami Device managed to make both Arnval and Strarf ("Mk 1" bodies), their BIS/Tranche2 upgrades, and their repaints; they also made one new Shinki (the last official one) named Edelweiss, who has one recolor. The kits themselves are good - faithful to the originals while managing to look better and have better proportions - so I recommend them. Sadly, there aren't going to be any more, so that's it for compatible Shinki.
>>11827239>>11827340The new Arnvel and Strarf did come with a bunch of BS compatible pieces
>>11827356>>11827358>>11827340Pretty neat but never got either Arnval or Straf back in the day when they were still being made, only BS I have are the beetle girls, Howling and Mao, one that's some kind of flower girl, one that's kind of like valkyrie and a couple of those add-ons that need a blank body to complete.

>>11827402>never got either Arnval or Straf back in the dayThen now's the time. From what you've described of your previous collection, the only Shinki you own that's better than them is the Valkyrie, assuming it's either Altlene or her sister Altines. Howling and Maochao were odd aesthetic-wise (and hideous. It took until Partio and Pomock years later for Konami to figure out how to translate BLADE's designs into proper face sculpts. Also, Puni Mofu Mao and Lang are basically Maochao and Howling 2.0 and are vast improvements over their Shinki counterparts), Zyrdarya (your flower girl) was pretty unpopular back in the day due to how lackluster she and Juvisy were even when they were new, and the EX sets were all hit or miss (Fort Bragg, Zelnogrard, and Tsugaru being the better ones - but all depending on whether or not you had a blank body to flap them on unless you got the former two's MMS3rd recolors released years later). By comparison, Arnval Tranche2 and Strarf Bis had a ton of cool weapons and armor bits to play around with, and the more recent kits fix their faces and proportions, which were their only issues back in the day.
>>11827843Went and took another look see and the 2 that needed blsnk bodies ate waffe rabbit and dolphin, the valkyrie is Altlene and the flower one is Juvisy and yeah, much as in like maochao and howling, their body armor and arm system are much to be desired and an upgrade would have done them great. Be nice if Lang and Mao came in Maochaos and howlings color. First 30ms came in todaynso building and sanding Sestieh, still waiting on the MD I ordered to get here, the Pretty Alice and rabbit

>>11829714This is their second kit ever, after Daytime Meteor, but the amount of heart they put into that kit (there are multiple lore pamphlets that come with it to expand the setting) is pretty mind-blowing. Which tells us that the makers have definitely hired experienced hands in this area, it's not like the Warrior Goddess Faiz kit that came with so many issues that they were forced to issue free replacement parts.Personally, I'm not a huge fan of sexy scythe nun as a motif and the gargoyle also isn't really my style. But the skirt for the nun is malleable cloth, which already puts it a step over the static plastic skirts you usually see from Koto (which they only really started changing with Maria Dress Code).
>>11829734I see, I was worried because it's so cheap so i thought there might be something wrong with it.
>>11829722I'll build her one day.Meteor, I mean. The girl is a little bland.
>>11829737It costs about the same as Daytime Meteor. I got mine for $92-8 USD on Ali, which is approximate to how much she would cost on USAGS with a 20% discount (they do those ~3-4 times a year). The only place I can find Dark Moon for pre-order right now is USAGS, with 1-2 venders on Ali offering pre-orders (for twice what USAGS is charging). The thing about pricing is that it can be all over the place simply due to the makers choosing a completely different profit model than what we're used to from Japanese makers. For example, ATK Girl Camilla costs about $10-15 more than Maria Dress Code, but makes up for the lack of individual girl fidelity (movable eyes, poseable hair, and an entirely new hip joint system for smooth ass posing) by having a shitload of extra addons and an entire bat familiar that can be transformed into wings. Cyclone Hopper from Nuke Matrix costs about the same as ATK Girl Camilla, but comes with three entire kits (regular girl with casual clothing, Rider form, and an entire-ass motorcycle). Daytime Meteor, which is the most expensive out of all of these so far, has the huge-ass dragon as its centerpiece while the girl is a bit on the generic side. And then there's even bigger ones like the Seven Deadly Sins series that cost around 50-80% more than Daytime Meteor but come with three huge-ass animal kits alongside the girl.Unfortunately, at the end of the day you'll probably have to wait for reviews to determine whether a kit has something wrong with it to dissuade purchase. It's usually not a bad idea to avoid pre-orders for this reason, this is the same sort of mentality one should apply to purchasing video games. Nice thing about that though, these Chinese kit makers aren't loathe to send out early review kits to influencers to drum up interest in their kits, so you'll probably hear more about this a month before official release. Video game developers often go the other way, and try to enforce embargoes until the day before launch.
>>11829754I see, yeah, looks like is gonna be a better idea to wait for the kit to come out.
