>>11815750Tell me the Legend of the Cavillrine. How did he come to be?
>>11815755ya know I bet that x force deadpool replaced an elektra/gambit release
>>11815774My first crush
>>11815767It's not a story that Feige would tell you
>>11815765Annoyed this will be my third scorpion, but pleased to finally have the classic look i've always wanted. Hope they do a classic stiltman soon with full mask.>>11815766Not as big of a fan, but I may get him on sale.>>11815768Again, annoyed since I got the 2-pack version and this looks nicer, but then I have the unmasked head.>>11815771Insta-buyNice to have actually got a good stream for once.
>>11815763This makes me wish for a Raimi Spider-Man wave with a proper Sandman, a Venom figure and New Goblin figure.
Would you agree with a certain man who believes Marvel Legends is at its lowest, worst year they have had? I don't really understand his perspective given some of the really bad early years of Legends. Sure the concept figures, all the old movie milking, and maybe that too many figures are re-releases rather than highly desirable characters. But there still have been some bangers this year.
Stupid sexy Osborne!
>>11815750>Valentina Allegra De Fontaine/Void 2 packI ALWAYS read this as "Foid". kek.
>>11815849no. the line is certainly not at the peak it was a couple years ago but it’s doing just fine other than the price increases.
>>11815763I’ve been waiting for this a very long time.
All I want isCypherBoomerang.I ain't pre-ordering SHIT. I'll find em when I find em. Would consider:Doc Sampson - ONLY on clearance. He's a fucking background character, he'll never get a place of prominence on my shelf, he'll always be a background figure. I'm happy enough with my Fin Fang Foom wave version. Every year, my ML purchases decrease. I've been collecting for 20+ years now. I don't touch teams or looks IDGAF for. I'd buy the SW Constrictor if they hadn't cheaped out on the back deco. Hasbro has been phoning it in SO much since prices went up. Still pissed about X-Factor Jean Grey's non-yellow boots.
>>11815859>>11815852I'd be interested to know how much that original movie Green Goblin cost and how much this new Green Goblin costs.
Are we allowed to post toys that might spoil Doomsday? Some of this stuff hasn’t been officially revealed. I don’t wanna automatically spoil anyone in here who doesn’t want to be, so I’m not going to. Just wanna be clear on what the rules are.
>>11815882You're a bitch if you don't post them
>>118158647.99 @KayBee Toys, 8.99 @K-Mart. Probably 5.99 or 6.99 @ Wal-Mart.
I finally found a Youtuber who agrees with my perspective on Marvel Legends. Even Anthony was too positive. Now I found a voice of Truth.
>>11815913Thanks. I didn't realize how insanely varied prices were back then by retailer besides Kaybee which I knew were higher than typical.
>>11815923Yeah, I was a little surprised K-Mart was higher still. KayBee wanted 9.99 for regular Marvel Legends in that time frame.
>>11815915No one asked.
>>11815913Take me back :(
>>11815915Thanks for the like

Marvel Legends:2022: 138 figures2023: 167 figures2024: 129 figures2025: ~134 figures
>>11816010What happened in 2023 that we got like 30+ more figures than we normally do? Otherwise, it seems to be pretty consistently around 130 a year.
>>11816016Maybe the 2020 collector spike influenced them to do more releases by then in their planning. Or maybe the increase in MCU D+ releases required it?
>>11815765>>11815766I know the characters are in it but it's a bit weird they have the movie branding, I guess they want a constant blitz barrage of advertising.
>>11815852I wonder if this could mean import figures of the films are on the table.
>>11816043I think it's actually a pretty smart way for them to get classic comic versions of characters out and wish they did this for previous films. Interest in a character is always higher when they're in the currently releasing media. It's smart, really smart imo.
>>11816090No one who cares about MCU who didn't already care about comics would buy these.
>>11815750Are we getting AC Toys Thor?
>>11816118Too short, Maximum Thor will mog him
>>11815775Gambit is for Doomsday
>>11815774Down grade big time
>>11816130Many of the people who sold their lab coat Beast are deeply sorrowful
>>11816122That's like the big problem with all other non Marvel Legend Thors is that they make him too fucking short
>>11816163It's actually the main reason 8 skipped the AY Thormin the first place. He's just way too tiny even compared to other AYs. Same with Mafex.
>>11816162It has never been like that bruh.
>>11816122>>11816163I thought they modified the height. Was 17 cm not enough? Personally I hated the shoulders. Also cant you add a bit more height by adding plastic near the joints (or their holes) like with SHF Cyclops or Storm Sagat.
>>11816118No, we don’t buy stolen goods like a third world child. And before you whine about insane aftermarket prices, if we don’t like the price, we simply don’t buy it, but it needs impulse control, you wouldn’t understand
>>11815775Still would
>>11815750>>11815852So with the new GG, t's pretty much confirmed they'll release a new Doc Ock, without that awful nanotech in the tentacles. He was there in his original look longer than GG.
>>11816118Bearded face and effects lookks tempting. Currently satistied with the Mafex one and that one has spinning Mjolnir.
>>11816256Who's "we"? The Mess and CT Toys bros apparently didn't get the message.
>>11816010Those numbers are lies. Cite source or fuck off

>>11816376>Jersey maniacThat scrawny little fuck who always vapes, coughs, and constantly looks like he wants to off himself? And you trust this joo?
Anyway. Continuing on from the Iron Fist talk from yesterday, when is another company gonna make him. Since some chink company is making a Ghost Rider and Bullseye I hope he's somewhere next in line
>>11816328>"""collecting""" bootlegsSame bros that made crappy Invincible customs out of their pubic hair. Grim.
>>11816118I wonder if the new face plates are compatible with authentic Thor or can it be used for spare. It would also be exciting to see what customizers can do.
>>11814224>weird that there's still no images of fucking jeffThere's been several protypes posted since the Moon Knight was revealed some months ago, on the Blokees General (and elsewhere). And we don't generally get into all the stupid insulting and zoomie cringe meme shit y'all do here.
>>11815750Isn't this just basically the motorcycle Logan/Wolverine buck with a MEH head scuplt that kinda suggests is Cavil? I mean, what is it with Henry that so many toys are made of the dude - who is nominally a very handsome guy - and the head sculpts all look like ass.
>>11816662It's a new sculpt. The shoulders use the new ball and cap shoulders that they've started using recently.
>>11816263What a controversial opinion
>>11816639>And we don't generally get into all the stupid insulting and zoomie cringe meme shit y'all do hereYou're all fags
>>11816662I think either Cavill's likeness rights are dirt cheap or he doesn't sick his lawyers on toy companies cause he likes having action figures made of him. If I were famous and handsome like him I'd be that way.
What was the verdict on this set?
Is ML Lady Deathstrike any good?
>>11816876Elbows on mine feel like they might snap off.
>>11816853It's sexy but they underproduced it because they don't understand the demographics of people who collect action figures.
Should I play the refund game with Amazon?
>>11817018what's wrong?

>>11817024Thought so but none of the pics I've seen of her have that. Including my signed comics.
>>11817018Her right eye looks off as well -- too far from the nose
Hasbro is shadow dropping figures again. Can you find the new one?
>>11816776I don't think the KO people pay and you're right, he probably doesn't want to offend fans and since he's definitely a nerd himself, he views himself as 'one of us,' but that all said, so many of these face sculpts do not make him look handsome, even new recent things like the new laser eyes supes from Mcfarlane.
>>11817105No, why don't you tell us?
>>11817191Kang just dropped
>>11817261Neato
>>11815772I'm not sure what to even think about this face. It's funny because I thought OG New Mutants might be the only team I ever wanted to "Complete" in figure form.>>11817018Could always try the "will it just rub off" game. I got a Dani figure cheap that everyone passed over because it had a black paint fleck on the yellow of her outfit, but it just came right off. >>11816910>>11816853Must have been wildly underproduced since I didn't even know this existed, and I don't think the people chomping at the bit for Sauron or Savage Land Rogue ever stopped clamoring.
>>11817314It's the face of mutant Hitler, as it's canon that Doug is destined to become mutant Hitler and successfully genocide all of humanity and force all of mutantkind against their will to die so he can become a living planet ala Ego the living planet
>>11817314You had your head in the sand as this was one of the most in demand ML SDCC sets in ages due to Coomer Savage Land Rogue (plus Coomer Shanna, as the set came out just as Ka-Za and his tiger also came out).
So except for the fact that this has the deadpool logo in the front, how well does this work with other Legend figures? I mean, can they actually sit on this and look like they are riding it?
>>11817489But enough about what your parent says about you.
>>11817489none of the promo shots actually look goodif hasbro can't manage that, then what else do you want me to think, dude and if I can't ask you guys here, without you being assholes like you are just being, where else should I waste my time?

>>11817585I dunno bro. In this case, I googled "Marvel Legends Riders Deadpool" and within the first 10 results I had multiple images, both promotional and in hand, showing that he can sit on his scooter just fine and it doesn't look weird. It's one thing to ask a question that isn't easily answered with a simple Google search, but in this case, I was able to find multiple examples answering his question in less than fifteen seconds. >>11816853>What was the verdict on this set?Never cared. I wanted Shanna, they pissed me off teasing she was coming after we had to buy an entire BAF wave to get Zabu, then they pull this fucking shit by rereleasing the old Sauron BAF. IDGAF about Rogue, I already have the main Jim Lee look for my shelf and I don't go too deep into subteams.Shanna has that retarded flowing hair bullshit. I would have still bought her if she were released individually, and probably just headswapped with that Shield 3-pack Agent Carter head.At the end of the day, these constant Hostage Packs have pushed me into walking away more and customizing my own. I never did this during the Toy Biz era because prices weren't batshit insane. Hasbro has literally reached a point where their greed has pushed me beyond how much I want a figure into just walking away. I'm sure I'm not alone. And I see almost no movement in the last several waves sitting at my local stores since they raised their prices. I'd wager most of us online collectors buy online, they aren't doing so well with in-store buyers.Add in the really bad QC lately and cheap bullshit, X-Factor Jean not having yellow boots, Constrictor having no back deco, etc, Hasbro just seems to be phoning it in lately.
>>11817021>Paint speck on cheekHoly Princess And The Pea you fragile little baby!

They need everything hand held for them. And look how hyper defensive he got when called out and told to Google it.Right? And it's so easy to lie or troll these types of retards, but then there's a huge majority of actual retards who think they are correct and give the wrong answer sincerely. Anyone of actual intelligence actually verifies their own research instead of trusting random retards online. This really does contribute to the collective stupidity of so many. It's beyond insane and I hate this aspect of our shitty future. And there simply isn't a single platform anywhere that discusses topics like this that aren't infested with these absolute retards.

first of all the scooter is gaysecondly you should already be ignoring this fag for wanting the deadpool version and not the squirrel girl versioneven if you think she's just as much of a lame meme character, that scooter is just better looking and is actually generic and doesn't have a big retard logo on it

And it's like, yeah, I can technically live with him only having grasping claws and a roaring face, but come the fuck on.

Hey so I'm noticing that all the blind box "we're saving plastic" shit seems to be over with, did Hasbro just have too many QC issues and complaints and switched back to packaging we could actually see the figs in?
>>11818668it ended like 3 years agoand yes, QC was probably an issue, but I'm sure repacking nonsense into the boxes and returning it to stores and some poor fuckhead finding a WWE figure in their marvel legends box and whining about it was the bigger reasonit should also be noted that hasbro coincidentally released some of their worse and/or laziest MLs and Gi Joe Classified figures during that era

>>11819619I'm not entirely sure I even a have a spot for '97 Wolverine atm, I put the MvC Legends one up in my MvC display and I'm putting a retro brown one up for a 90's video game themed shelf that kinda starts as Arcade's Revenge and then bleeds out into other games on the sides. Target has these on sale
>>11820126Plus extra $10 off $40Or $20 off $75
>>11820127Thanks, got x23, Cassie and Emma
I still don't get the 2 pack choice for the gameverse stuff. I mean ok Silver Samurai and War Machine might have benefited from it but the rest would have sold the same as stand alones. wirdest choice is definitly the Psylocke and Thanos 2 pack. Did Hasbro really think it wouldn't sell as good as it did?
>>11820147they made a bunch of new pieces for psylocke and wanted to offset the cost with a thanos that's 90% reuse

>>11820246My Target just restocked her. They got her, Blade, and sleeveless Logan. The other two sold out eventually but X-23 lingered a bit, then when I went a week or two ago the two or three left on the peg turned into two whole pegs worth. I'll snag her and Blade maybe tomorrow.
>>11820126>>11820127Those are your particular stores in the boonies of California. I'm in Southern California and even if I move "my store" to the boonies of Metro LA, the least expensive MLs is the boxed Mark III reissue of Iron Man, which is only down to $19.99.

Is Hasbro finally looking to betray its retailers like Target with pegwarmer exclusives like Cypher and Crystal Emma?
>>11820940Wut?
>>11820954Giving a retailer exclusives that don't sell is generally considered bad for the relationship between the toy company and the retailer.
>>11820940completionists will buy them. they're not for movie-only casuals of this thread.
>>11820989Ok, what's your point?
>>11820993Hasbro may be cashing out and cutting ties with big box retail by giving them low quality exclusive figures and driving the line online only or collapsing it in the near future. That would align with the last 3 years of the line being after their move to Boston. Interviews in the past have noted Boston is not a place mere toy designers can afford to live, leading to it being near impossible to continue with grunt toy work from there. But I guess if they expect near 2 hour long commutes from their employees the line could continue.
>>11820126I actually saw these two for sale in my Target and my Target never has ANYTHING. They were the only two Legends left and they had loads of each.
>>11821001Ah, another "oh no the sky is falling" doompost. Yeah anon, you're right, one of the most successful domestic toylines within the past twenty years is totally going to fold in two more weeks because.... JUST BECAUSE OK?I hate having to share a hobby with such stupid motherfuckers. Why are you pretending shelfwarming exclusives are new? Are you new? Do you not remember all the Target exclusive MCU 2 packs that rotted on shelves back almost a decade ago?
>>11821001why would a toy designer need to go to the office? Sounds like a job that's better done from home.
>>11820638You misunderstand, the SH is a fucked design, it has no ab crunch.
>>11821034Because execs have a hard on for control of their employees and refuse 100% remote work whenever they can. There have been interviews with the Hasbro employees stating they would need to either commute or move to Boston.
>>11821001Don't strain yourself while jumping through all those hoops.
>>11821083this nigga is probably the one who was aghast that nobody knew who cypher was while also saying he's a shitty exclusive nobody will buy
>>11821090>Nobody knew who Cypher wasSpeak for yourself buddy. Pretty sure it was just (You).
>>11821090People here know who Cypher is, but people who casually shop at Target dont. And most people here don't care for Cypher and would only get him to complete a team.
>>11821113People who casually shop at Target aren't buying Marvel Legedns. Parents aren't spending almost $30 for a single action figure that Timmy is just going to lose or break. I remember back in 2019 overhearing a parent balk at the $20 price of a Marvel Legends back then. The primary demographic that buys Legends knows who Cypher is. The people who go into Target to buy Legends know who Cypher is. The thing is, Cypher just fucking sucks. I don't know of a single person in Marvel's entire publishing history that actually likes Doug fucking Ramsey.
>>11821118incorrectx-men was basically its own sub-brand within the comics for 30 years, it was structured completely differently from spider-man and avengers runs, it every other creative wanted to revamp or do a spin-off about a bunch of nobodies or new mutants they could have full control overplenty of people who were actually reading shit didn't give a fuck about the x-men or anyone x-men outside of the "main" ones
>>11821127You're not wrong, Doug Ramsey is the exception to that rule. Sure, everyone wanted a piece of the X-Pie back in the day, especially the New Mutants with how popular they became, but even still, no one actually liked Cypher, even back then he was always shat on in the fandom.
>>11821127>>11821132Also, they outright killed him in the late 80s because of how unpopular he was. Everyone saw him as a pussy because all he could do was translate languages.
>>11821136Why did comic geeks reject a geek comic character who could just do a geeky thing? Very strange behavior. Was it an attempt at disassociation?
Got Odin in today. He's great, the only thing he really needs is pegs so the Ravens can sit on his shoulders or something.
>>11821156Because his powerset is gay
>>11815750What's the most height accurate and Comic/Capcom coded Wolverine figure?
>>11821257>heightBlokees, surprisingly.>Capcom codedYour options are SHF and Marvel Legends. ML errs closer to the Bengus artwork. SHF is a perfectly serviceable comic/Capcom figure, it just didn't completely nail the look most MvC autists are after.
>>11821156The most popular X-Man is a weeaboo manlet with the kind of autism that makes him growl at people, somehow has a shot with the jock's girlfriend, and is also somehow allowed to be left alone with teenage girls.
What's the logic behind making the Mafex Iceman base solid plastic? This thing is probably considered an illegal weapon in Bongistan.
>>11821118>>11821132>>11821136I do know people who liked Cypher, funnily enough, including myself. But he was always in a weird place because he's the kind of character who doesn't slot easily into a "traditonal comic team" and would make more sense as the kind of character who's in more of a support role, who usually sticks back at base unless they specifically need his expertise in the field. Which there's room for in a logical sense, but comics fundamentally run differently to where a lot of writers seem unwilling or unable to blur the divide between "main characters who kick ass" and "the supporting cast who can do cool non-asskicking things but then the second another writer that doesn't care as much gets ahold of the book they immediately get forgotten entirely."But also to be fair, The New Mutants were decidedly not a traditional team, and basically a ragtag group of students and friends, and so it tracks that they generally didn't immediately see the logic in leaving Doug behind all on his own because he was the least fighty of them, and didn't want to leave their friend out. Especially since he COULD become a combatant when he combined with Warlock, but when Warlock wasn't around, well, we saw how that went. Really I think if Doug had debuted in a slightly more modern comic, his role would have felt more natural and less like trying to fit a square peg into a round hole in a way that audiences would immediately have issue with.
>>11821287For a while during Krakoa, it seemed like they were grooming him to be Xavier's succesor, only lawful good instead of the chaotic neutral Prof X has been the last 40 years. I really would have liked that, and think Doug's weakness suits him as a behind-the-scenes leader. I like hin a lot but they always seem to squander his potential. Fuck Revelation, though.
>>11819069>Storm is always a QC nightmare.Say it ain't so brutha, I have one Karas coming and I don't wanna run into problems.
Saw the Toby figure. Brand new buck. Brighter colors. It’s fucking kino.
>>11821270And yet he's a tough guy who drinks tons of beer so he gets a pass as normal
>>11821132>>11821136That's not what happened.Louis Simonson got lied to by Brett Booth about Doug being hated, because Brett DESPISED Doug for being lame and not having flashy powers for fight scenes. After killing Doug off, the book received an avalanche of hate mail over what happened, to the point that they had to run two filler stories while internally having to decide whether or not to bring Doug back, with Doug staying dead only because Nocenti took Boothe's side on the grounds that Brett had outplayed Louise and Louise retardedly killing off Doug in a way that made it impossible to undo
>>11821333Any pics?
>>11817488You can clearly see deadpool, an average ML figure right on it... one of the marketing figures is >THIS ... It must be so hard being this retarded
>>11821156At best a character like that is just the love interest of one of the girls on the team and stays at home. More likely he's best off as a minor supporting character who gets wheeled out when his very specific and limited power is useful to the plot, not someone who's part of the core cast of a superhero book and taking part in monthly action scenes where he's just a liability.>>11821394I assume you meant Brett Blevins, Brett Booth is a different artist who got started at 90s Wildstorm. Regardless, it's been said a number of times that there were getting a lot of letters from readers that did hate Cypher and want him gone, it wasn't just one guy pretending he was hated. Either there was a divided audience where half the readers hated him, half loved him, or it's just another case of reader contrarianism where an unpopular character gets killed and then suddenly everyone decides they liked him after all.
>>11821580NTA but you're right. It was Blevins. And there was a vocal part of the readership that did hate Doug, who's to say how much of it really was since there wasn't an easy way to measure that metric outside of reading letters to the editor, but history showed that Doug was probably the most disliked member of the team because he was boring and a pussy. Artists in particular didn't like drawing him because how do you artistically convey his power to translate things?

I'm tempted by him in a way I'm usually not when it comes to live action stuff due to a combination of childhood nostalgia for the Raimi movies and loving Willem Dafoe.>>11821333Is the new Tobey mentioned here an ML? Might consider grabbing him and Gobby if so.
>>11821735At this point I mostly regret getting the NWH version, because I didn't foresee this coming out. It's the better design, but it also comes with more shit and he has ankle swivels, which the NWH did not have and was a huge problem for actually trying to pose itThough the NWH Dafoe head does appear to be more lifelike and expressive than this new version
>>11821743Seems really stupid to not include ankle swivels with a character that's constantly adjusting the position of their legs and feet on their primary mode of transportation.
>>11821743How didn't you see this coming? I always knew it was going to be a thing, they're not going to go to the effort to make that glider and only use it the one time. I actually really dig the NWH look with the purple tatters and the war belt. I'll be getting the Rami version for sure but I'm still OK with the NWH version too, although I am kinda annoyed I'll have two gliders now, but whatever.
>>11821761>How didn't you see this coming? It's not like it lines up with anything, it's branded as No Way Home but the full original costume was in that movie for like 6 secondsI'll also be surprised if they do a non-sand version of Raimi Sandman, which also appeared in the movie for 6 seconds via stock footage
>>11821766I dunno man, it's not exactly a stretch of the imagination that they'd release this highly desired version of a character, especially since they had pre-existing parts from the first figure that they could reuse for this like the Glider, helmet, pumpkin bombs, hands, and probably parts of the actual figure itself.
>>11821781Whatever then, bitchContinue eagerly awaiting the version of Otto with the gay gold crap on his arms since it's so likely and they obviously need to reuse the tentacles

>>11822518I don't even know what he's been doing lately, is he being a complete piece of shit? Because he's kind of always been a piece of shit and it seems like every 5 years or so for the past like 4 decades Marvel reveals some new detail about him that retroactively makes him a bigger piece of shit
>>11822518I tend to just ignore the parts of a character's history I don't like, but it feeling like every writer has been in a contest to see who can make Xavier the biggest asshole for the last 25 or so years has made that tough with Chuck. But the only X-Figure I buy tend to be from the 80s to early 2000s anyway, so it's not really an issue for me.
>>11822518>>11822660Even in the earlier years I feel like Xavier tended to weave in and out of being a big douche canoe. So I feel like it's kind of par the course, he has a very benevolent dream but he's also so wildly conceited and hyperfocused that he doesn't even notice when he's overstepping bounds in reaching towards it. He's been treating his X-men like pawns from the beginning, they just don't notice right away with his moral grandstanding and fatherly demeanor. That said, I feel like if I let a character's moral actions in any given comic color my ability to enjoy them, I wouldn't be able to enjoy action figures of basically anyone.
>>11822668I've been going through Claremont's run in its entirety for the last few months and I agree that those elements have kind of always been there. He's a control freak asshole who constantly keeps things from the people he's supposed to be looking out for. I think the character having a dark side is fine, anyone with that kind of power would have one just by virtue of the constant temptations they're faced with. But that side also shouldn't get focused on to the point that it feels like there was never anything good or noble about the guy to begin with. Xaveir's dream clashing with reality is compelling and interesting, but not if it turns out the dream was always bullshit to begin with.>That said, I feel like if I let a character's moral actions in any given comic color my ability to enjoy them, I wouldn't be able to enjoy action figures of basically anyone.I wholly agree with this though. You gotta focus on the things you love about these characters when it comes to collecting, not how they were mishandled by writers who didn't understand them. I love Cyclops, but I'm definitely not thinking of Schism, AvX or any of the other stupid shit they've had him do in recent years when I'm looking at my Scott toys.
>>11822518Would any X-Men figure sell if comics mattered?
>>11822910This. It's not dissimilar from separating the art from the artist.I wouldn't own a Wolverine figure if I took to heart all the bullshit they've done to the character since at least '93.
Good lord, Mezco went hard on this Punisher! It’s not an exclusive that sold out in seconds and kicks the shit out of the Mafex. It looks like he surprised Articulated Ninja who was probably about to leave Mezco another bad review.
