>>11820044New Havoc Staff set
New cars
And MotU movie sets
>>11820045Better pics
>>11820056This thing is huge
So... Bluebrixx, yea or nea?
Things got a little Tiger-happy recently
>>11820044>>11820045>>11820050I wonder if this shit is selling considering how hard the movie flopped.
>>11820056More than 300 pieces larger than the original Havoc Staff. I assume this one will be even closer to 1:1. What was the original, 2:3?
>>11820295This Mattel Brick stuff?Who knows, I can barely find any of it - whether it's MOTU related or not - in any store. And Target's search function in their app sucks as that I never use it.But you cannot find some of the Chronicles and other MOTU toys in stock so someone is definitely buying the movie merch.
>>11820295>>11820507Its not for sale in retail until 11th September (what a date to remember).
>>11820044I prefer constraction figures, but a bust isn't a bad start/base
>>11820698>Its not for sale in retail until 11th Septemberwell I guess that's the kiss of death
>>11820050I like them
>>11820050These would be so much better with the old minifigs.
>>11820698>>11820863Reminds me of that tragedy.
>>11821527Of Darth Plagueis the Wise?
>>11820044So do we have anything else for brick shop this year other than the Halo set?
>>11821979Probably the got tragedy, literally the same shit happened
>>11820044This thread is practically a corpse. You really should just post alt brick brands in the Lego thread instead.
>>11820044They're never bringing back codbloks are theyThere was a bright flowering time when things were possible and then it came to a crashing end
>>11823370They tend to get pissy about such things over there.
>>11823401They're pissy about everything there, why would you want to merge with that
>>11823370No point in posting oc (or even posting) to that circle jerk, either.
>>11823370I've participated in this thread a few threads back and in the winter when I was buying some KO Chinese blockLEGO and also looking into some other stuff they had at 5Below and elsewhere. But dang if it's easier to find KO and cheap ass Transformers type toys from Hong Kong or Vietnam and other shitholes all over the place and I can barely find anything at a 5below that isn't just the equivalent of even crappier cellophane LEGO sadness sets. This whole board and whole site has been sad of late. The big gens look busy partially because of the same fucking autistic shit posting fucks and losers with no lives. I, on the other hand, have been too fucking busy to even think about toys.
>Mostly stock promo pics and shitposting>Too busy to post MY toys and contribute but never too busy to bitch and also bitch about others toy posting>bootlego /lg/ 2 electric boogaloo againJust can't figure out why this site is in decline. Keep up the great effort posting!
>>11823923Those hand pieces have occupied my mind for years now. Last I checked you cant even buy them on their own anymore. When that initial crop of CCBS clones first saw release my hope was to soon see western companies team up with those manufacturers to released licensed sets. Think of the sort of stuff exclusive to five below, but CCBS instead of bricks. It unfortunately never happened but I still ruminate over the idea now and again. For about 4 years now the prospect of a Robocop constraction line's been the direct result of that initial idea, but I'm just some clueless guy. Hard to make it reality beyond these doodles. At most somebody could 3D print a Robocop mask compatible with glatorian heads and then pop one onto a Phasma ultrabuild figure
Cleaner sketch of the base build I've thought about
>>11820050The nicest thing I can say about these sets is how much I like the finger pieces on the one ship. They were great on halo mechs too.
>>11824026Killer tank killer.>>11824105These came from ali express 9 years ago, so can't help you much on that. YNYNOO was the 'brand' for what it's worth.
>>11824113You learned how to draw, so who is stopping you from learning how to sculpt, cast or even print?
>>11824287No one is stopping you, that's who.
>>11824270Is one of Sluban's recent sets, they've been (mostly) knocking it out of the park. I say mostly cuz their Tiger (leftmost here >>11820096) was a bit fiddly and fragile compared to the others in the line. They've got a new Panther I'll have to try sometime which I hope will be better. Their first Panther was so good I ended up with three of them; first one I got had all the brown pieces in an orange-y shade for some reason, got a replacement on the cheap with the right colours and another (also on the cheap) to do the alt-build Jagdpanther.Back to the Warthog, the model is very rear-heavy for obvious reasons so they've got a clear stand piece at the tail to prop it up when on its landing gear.
>>11824292>that scorpion flagNice
>>11824287>>11824292Space and money mostly. I dream of some day having a workshop of my own to tinker away on projects like that in my free time. Until then however, drawing is the easiest option.
>>11824307I remember your pics fondly from the /mcx/ days. Time's not been kind to us old fren.
>>11824497Scorpion knights best knights.>>11824712>Space and money mostly. This took less than an american dollars worth of materials (epoxy clay, Sculpy polymer baking clay, paint) in the same space it takes to draw. One could probably spend $20 in materials to learn how to sculpt and even cast in the same space it takes to draw. Within a month one could be producing viable sculpts for alterations of existing constraction heads for a robocop one or even casting your own... Just a thought...
I found this old Dragons flash game, anyone remember it?https://archive.org/details/mega-bloks-fire-and-ice-dragons_flash#
>>11824969I almost finished it but died on level 5. It's a lot jankier than I remember, especially on the later levels.
>>11824860To your credit that was a really well done mod
On the subject of Sluban aircraft I got this Chinook set of theirs recently, it's actually an old one that randomly resurfaced on AliExpress. Has a couple clutch issues and some questionable build decisions which I attribute to them not having a wider parts selection at the time of production.
>>11825133The biggest issue for me is that the rotors aren't mounted on propellers; the blades rest on a 2x2 round plate which sits on a 2x2 jumper tile which makes for poor rotary performance and easy for the rotors to come off. On the other hand it has some fun play features like the cables for transporting the included jeep, though it would've been nice to have a way to clip them somewhere on the helicopter when not in use.
>>11825134This becomes more apparent when using the fifth cable, mounted on an interior reel and fed through a trapdoor. The reel is a bit stiff and awkward to manipulate but the helo is designed for the top to come off easily for interior access.
>>11825136It's not a terrible set overall really, looks great and has good access to the inside. Sluban has improved considerably since, would be interesting to see them remake this one.
Also wanted to circle back and talk a bit more about the Tigers. Each one is based on a specific historical tank: the white Tiger is S04, used by tank ace Michael Wittmann and is famous for a photo where you can see its barrel covered with kill rings; Tiger 1322 was that of tank ace Alfred Staudegger who allegedly fought off a Soviet tank force of over 50 almost single-handedly; Tiger 007 was also Michael Wittmann's and proved to be his coffin when a Canadian Sherman took him out during the Battle of Normandy.
>>11825151Incidentally all three are basically the same model by the same company, with a few cosmetic differences. This one is a slightly larger scale and is Tiger S33, serving with the Das Reich SS Division at Kursk and distinctive for its markings, including a Chinese character symbolizing luck.
>>11825153The final two are Sluban's Tiger 212, the tank used by Michael Wittmann most famously during his ambush of allied forces at Villers-Bocage in Normandy; the other is yet another Tiger 131 by Cobi, the most famous Tiger tank for the simple reason that it's the only one in the world still in running condition and guest-starred in the movie Fury. Cobi is freaking expensive here and while they had a slightly larger and better detailed 131 at the store, I balked at the price hike. Can't fault the store though, they were undercutting Amazon for the same set by a few bucks even.
Bldr freddy went live today, I was able to snag one before it sold out. Even if he's a bit fucked in the face I think its kinda cute.
>>11825153I was going to say the choonrune looks upside down but I looked it up and they do that deliberately.
How will bootlegers feel? I feel like lego is doing it to go against bootlegos
>>11825681How are all the mexicans going to afford Lego?
>>11825863They won't.
>>11820050We're never getting new Mega style Minifigures are we?
>>11826500No reason both styles couldn't exist at the same time, but until we see it I guess we should assume it won't be back.
>>11820044Whats the price?
>>11824714Thank you for the kind words. Still building beyond. It's dangerous to go the backrooms of 4chins alone. Take this.
>>11825326I have Chainsaw Man, two of them actually, so i made a 4Chainsaw Man
>>11827063kino>>11826500>>11826570I wish mattel would sell off the figure format at this point. Anyone else with those assets would make a fortune.
>tfw sluban waifigs mog l*go all day long
>>11824491Good reviews.
>>11827366Find any bugs?>>11827750Agree, but you know matty won't sell.
>>11830947>mog l*go...but they love it.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hic3jjoT_CU
>>11831477Mega sax
>>11831477whats the fig on the far left with the red horns?
>>11831471 Not there,
>>11820050>mini statues What the fuck is the point of this? The Mega Bloks he-man was cool because they were basically miniaturized he-man toys AND you could build the castles. Building the castles just to place some preposed Warhammer minis is really lame.
>>11832313 The entire decision to kill all of their articulated is why the line is dead. People were not (generally) buying for the bricks and the builds. they were buying for the figures. I suspect getting rid of them was part of the licensing deal with LEGO. I also think if they sold the whole damned line off to someone who would actually make the figures would be amazing. I mean sell it to HASBRO and they would crush. Let it die and you lose.
>>11832430Jesus christ anon don't just post jumpscares like that, I almost shat myself
>>11831935A Monster High Draculaura demon custom named Demonica.
>>11832068Exquisite
>>11832430Are these BOOtlegs? Do they actually glow in the dark?
>>11833876 They do. you have to charge em the hell up and it fates. I've got a 35 year old Playmobil Ghost I I call him "Hamlet's Dad" I have done bad things with it's sheet.
I tried ot make a little movie where his head was supposed to get cut off and then bounce around. i failed but I may try again.
>>11834222...Who the hell is making bootleg Baby Sneeds? I can barely stomach the real ones I have.
>>11834218
>>11834273 Okay. I don't know what's happening here but me bouncing around in the dark asking my girlfriend if "she sees a ghost?" seems more normal now.
>>11834218>I've got a 35 year old Playmobil GhostI have one of those from a small set I got at Silver Dollar City. He has a ball and chain with him.I don't know where he's at right now, but I remember I wanted it just because I wanted SOME kind of toy while were were out...
>>11835366 That's the guy.
>>11834222Do it. Make Cinema!
>>11832313Looks a little too big for my taste but interesting.Wake me up when Ali Express has KO kits for sale for a few blocks or these end up at a 5Below or a Ross.Only thing I have seen so far is that stupid Bldr Chainsaw Man. And it's overpriced at $19.99 at Ross.
>>11837928IMO I think it was already well worth it at 30. Guess this confirms they havent done well and why there havent been more. The Freddy not continuing the same system style is also concerning, I really think of all the attempts at a figure system bldr put the proper effort in making an effective library of dedicated joint and core parts that offered a lot of moccing potential.
Someone's making new Mega Construx figures based on superheroes. I've just put together the mk 2 Iron Man and it's great quality. Also have an unopened box of Dark Knight Trilogy figures.https://a.aliexpress.com/_mMtiMTt
>>11846492Feels more like loosely based on, with the swappable hands (none apparently able to clutch), lack of stud holes on the feet from what I can see and being visibly larger than any of the Mega scales. Can you confirm or deny these accusations?
>>11846742Just did some part swapping between Harvey Dent and an authentic (probably? My collection's all mixed up) CoD figure. These guys are slightly oversized, that's for sure. Some parts can be swapped fine, the rest will need slight adjustments here and there. Each figure comes with normal Mega hands as well as special swappable hands. Lots of customization options here.
>>11847468Fair enough, thank you for the info. Is there a Dark Knight Rises Bane, perchance?
