Why aren't Xesray as widely discussed here as you'd think? They're pretty affordable for what you're getting and compared to other brands. Huge amounts of paint as well. Is it because the promo images are sometimes off from the final product?
>>
>>11822883
I'd say it's got more to do with how few figures they release. Their release schedule even less frequently than 4H, and it's usually only 2 or 3 figures at a time. The first bunch of female warriors got posted a fair bit when they first released, and same with the minotaurs. A couple of anons have been posting their recent releases, and one was the OP image last thread.
I don't own any, but I've been meaning to see if I can hunt down one of the minotaurs for a decent price, and I've got their big Killer Croc-esque reptile dude on preorder.
>>
>>11822883
It's as the other anon stated, Xesray just doesn't put out enough figures for there to be constant discussion about them. They also don't really hype them up the way other companies like Savage Crucible or Boss Fight do, though it's harder for them to hit the con circuit in the US being a chinese company. But their very slow trickle of releases makes it hard for them to be a brand that's constantly discussed, despite them putting out some fantastic figures.

Honestly, the 4H have put out some figures that are very much straight historical. Their Valiant Knight build is essentially an accurate recreation of a set of armor and their Viking character Halvard is one of the best looking representations of that era I've seen in figure form to date. Xesray's Roman stuff is certainly realistic, but they seem to be pushing more fantastical with their upcoming barbarians.

>>11824323
Or it's a pic taken from when the figures originally went up for open Pre-Order and a troll is just being a troll.

Hey I didn't scalp elric. Just Goku.
>>
So 4H just announced one of their two upcoming SDCC Exclusive Premiere figures. the Cosmic Legions character Saint Demmyan of the Crusader Command. Looks like they're going kind of Space Knight with this guy, and I gotta admit, if all of Cosmic was like this I would've been a much bigger fan of the line. Almost feels Warhammer-esque in the build and gear and it's mix of Fantasy and Sci-fi aesthetics. And that hot rod red is just gorgeous.

Still gonna pass on it myself since I'm pretty much done with Cosmic, but still a nice looking figure. I'm sure they'll do a Mythic Version of him or something as their other SDCC reveal, but I doubt that would come out as interesting.

Would love to see a Mythic Knight in that candy red though, the Armory Knights had a dull colored red armor so one with shiny red like this would really pop.
>>
>>11824394
New cosmic are coming, I wouldn't be surprised to see some more of these "Crusaders". He does match the TU5CC Pilot, who is also a fantastically colored figure.
>>
I love my fantasy figgies, anons, I am unreasonably excited for my Cyan Lion to arrive, please be free from issues. I'm also quite hyped to see the Savage Crucible reveal, really curious what it'll be.
>>
Listen, I'm happy for everyone enjoying their Elric, but seeing him before i have received the Pirahnoids from the Kickstarter 3 years ago is grinding my gears.
>look at the shipping timeline on our homepage
It says shipping Q2 2026. Q2 is nearly over.
Where the fuck are my Deep Ones? I want my goddamned Fishmen.
>>
>>11824541
Yea, that's kinda crazy how it turned out. The whole reason SC split up their "Kickstarter" stuff into various waves was to help get their figures out faster and yet I feel the wait for the wave "3" figures has been my longest wait for a Kickstarter figure to date. I'm not worried since I know they're actually pumping out figures, and I can even understand repaint and reuse stuff like that barbarian dude or the various Lizard man drops.

But a full on, brand new, entirely uniquely mold character figure dropping so fast and before the Wave 3 stuff is kind of crazy. I remember people were getting pissed at the 4H for having too many figures in the "pipeline", but they always seem to release their figures in order at least.
>>
Why did Elric catch everyone's attention and get them to want to buy him? He seems like just another random knight character. When people first started going nuts about missing the preorder for it because it sold out in 1.2 seconds I thought they were talking about an Edward Elric figma or something. Is he really important in Savage Crucible's lore or something?
>>
>>11824617
random DARK knight character that is.
>>
>>11824493
Love the figure but I hate how long it took to come out. I need that crab but it's taking years!
>>
>>11824617
It's the first figure of a classic literary fantasy character who dates back to the 1960s from a seminal dark fantasy writer. This guy was a "u knoe" before most people parents were even alive.

Savage Crucible already announced they'll be making more variations of him, as well as other characters from the writer and his universe of stories. It's cool any modern toy company is willing to look into such a niche corner of fiction to find popular characters to bring to toy form.

He's also a really badass figure.
>>
>>11824560
>yet I feel the wait for the wave "3" figures has been my longest wait for a Kickstarter figure to date
It will be at least 3 and a half years by the time we get them in our hands. People give 4H shit because it's two years between preorder and shipping for most big newly tooled waves these days, but the wait for these feels especially ridiculous. Those San Zero Deep Ones went from a sketch that was shown long after the SC Kickstarter (I think it was early-mid 2024) to actual release a little over 12 months later.
>But a full on, brand new, entirely uniquely mold character figure dropping so fast and before the Wave 3 stuff is kind of crazy.
That is the only thing that frustrates me. Like you said, the repaints and variations with a new head that was likely tooled with that wave are fine. I'm not mad about Varnoks Unchained or the new wolfman. But an entirely new build of figure with completely new molds before the figures I paid for 3+ years ago feels egregious.
>I remember people were getting pissed at the 4H for having too many figures in the "pipeline", but they always seem to release their figures in order at least.
They have shuffled the order of things forward once or twice, but it's always been because the new tooling is being fine tuned and the figures that were bumped forward were being made with existing tooling.

I just want my Deep Ones. Ph'nglui mglw'nafh Cthulhu R'lyeh wgah'nagl fhtagn.

>>11824617
>Why did Elric catch everyone's attention and get them to want to buy him?
Most people didn't have figures if they didn't want lizards when the PO was going on. How were you to know Elric would turn out this good? People invested heavy into the KS and probably didn't want to risk more money. No doubt a lot more people know what SC is now then when he was up originally for PO. They did more shows ths year and used up a lot of the stock originally going to be sold online which has backfired massively PR-wise. SC did this to themselves.

Add also Elric uses a new joint system which was being advertised shortly after PO shipments so there was renewed interest in the figure suddenly with new joints and looks straight up Dark Souls/Elden Ring/<Insert other Souls titles from FROM Soft>

This fuck up of a release wasn't good for them. A lot of new people came in during the Wave 2 restock months ago and now had experience trying the figures. When the demand starts to rise fast with people asking and the figure selling out quick at cons, you place another fucking order with the factory rather than be coy with the release. PO or not, SC wasn't shit until the barbarians got in people's hands in a larger, non-KS setting like that restock sale earlier this year.
>>
>>11824617
It's the FOMO hype shit. Outside of the type of people who post here, I bet 90% of the people who rushed out to hunt Elrics have literally no idea who he is. Sometimes specific figures just get this bizarre aura about them, like those Xcocann third party street fighter ones, the Quinn Lee and Sexy Ice stuff. When something nobody was interested in gets released and it is executed well, people see others overjoyed and want to be a part of it, so it triggers that like "joy jealousy" or whatever and the FOMO hits. You can already see it waning with Sexy Ice as people are realising they don't actually like or want random generic all gunmetal insects and jobbers. I am sure the next Savage Crucible figure will be sought after, but after that it'll be back to the normal collectors. Also people like to own the "rare" thing, so once Elric became coveted, people were inevitably going to get it just to have it, probably half of them remaining boxed up in a pile.
>>
>>11824665
>as people are realising they don't actually like or want random generic all gunmetal insects
Funnily enough, I only buy their bugmen for Berserk needs. I have no interest in their rainbow Kerberos repaints and crash test dummy droids.
>>
>>11824677
I wasn't saying they were bad or undeserving of hype etc. You just knew however, all these dudes who basically only collect Superhero and film characters all rushing out and gushing about Metal Gear esque cyber soldiers and literal psycho mantises, were going to have a come down once the fervour faded. It's the same with Elric, the amount of people on YouTube and around that bought that figure, yet have almost no interest in fantasy stuff beyond Arnold Conan and Lord of The Rings is pretty funny, you just know Elrics will start flooding Ebay in a year or two.

Gotta say, I've never read any of his books, but Elric does look good and I have been having a bit of FOMO just because he is a nice looking armored figure. I nearly prerordered him a while back at BBTS, but they had him and Death Dealer listed for release in the same month, so I went with DD since I have more of a connection with Frazetta.
And as you posted that, the SexyIce robot doggo came into my private warehouse, making me look like a big fat liar in my last post claiming I had no interest in SexyIce's non-bugman stuff. But to be fair, it does look a little bit like the Beast of Darkness from Berserk, which was why I bought it. I have the temptation to custom it, but I think it really is beyond my skill level.

I feel bad, I wasn't actually really criticising anything even if my tone might have sounded like that. Intrinsically, I was kind of omitting anyone who posts on this board, because I think the nature of people who come here is different from your "gotta get em all" type of collector, but even then, those guys can do whatever they want. Like I said, in my opinion, all of these figures have to be excellent to trigger the whole thing, it's when a company successfully caters to someone's needs, like Sexy Ice making a cool as fuck cyber dog, nobody else has done anything even close to that until now and they have done it well. And I think the cyberdog is evidence for me, it didn't really take the hobby by storm like the Unkvals did, people were pretty indifferent to it, aside from people like you who actually like stuff like this.
>>
>>11824841
Nah, I didn't take it as criticism. Maybe I came off as defensive, but I know what you are talking about. The bandwagoners that are jumping on Elric only because he is the hottest thing on social media right now. Like you said, don't be surprised if there are a flood of them on eBay in a year.
I was content with my decision to skip him in favor of Death Dealer until some of the pics last thread. If I don't end up getting one, it's not gonna be the end of the world.
>>

Berenice arrived today.
I wanted to take a pic with all armor pieces on, but I kept thinking "how will she look without this?" and "I should check for possible stains under this" and here we are just now.
The torso armor doesn't restict her movement much. It's articulated at the waist (disconnected, actually, like a top and a belt-skirt), so you can adjust a decent transition between the figure articulated at the diaphragm and the armor articulated at the waist.

I'll be truthful as a Savage Crucible newbie (Nashorn was my introduction), I had never heard of Elric before seeing reviews of the figure and only then had glanced at the source material, was surprised to see the amount of history associated with it.

Honestly I just thought he looked really fucking cool, and with the complete helmet, he looked like a fantasy monster-knight design that I really liked. (Look up Infinity Blade Iron Guard, monster-like humanoids that practice sword fighting are so awesome to me.)

Incidentally I like how Sexy Ice stuff looks but I was only ever interested in Manticore but fuck aftermarket prices on that. I could have FOMO brain but I am genuinely enjoying the stuff I'm getting, I definitely see how the hype culture can effectively catch the hobby in a chokehold though, shame to see.

>Honestly I just thought he looked really fucking cool, and with the complete helmet, he looked like a fantasy monster-knight design that I really liked.
For me, with the big horned helmet he resembles some old LOTR art of The Mouth of Sauron that I'm pretty sure Ralph Bakshi used for the design in his movie. Only I can't find that artwork because Google is broken in the current era. But for an idea of what it resembled, I'm almost certain the guy that did the art for the MTG Mouth of Sauron card was inspired by the same piece.

I preordered Cosmic Creation's 1/12 Medusa/Cai Lin from Battle Through the Heavens.
I found a reference saying that her tail is bendy and the whole figure is approximately 40cm long, which sounds short for a 1/12 medusa, but hopefully that won't be so short that she can't somewhat fudge slithering and wrapping. Can't blame them for making it short-ish, though, because the character can fly after all, and I don't think her tail is longer in the show, so I guess I can make her fly too if ends up not being very functional for slithering.
I also hope that, being a snake girl, she manages an exotic vibe that makes her work with very different styled fantasy lines, as in, "well, she's not human and she's not from around here, so she looks a bit different".
>>
>>11825372

>>

>>
>>11825852
The faces kind of vary per figure due to QC so some come out better than others, hopefully people can get fixes/replacements. If someone gets one with an off center iris then yeah thats gonna be an issue. I don't see what's wrong with the face on the far right figure besides the paint of the left eye looking flat. Not sure if that's an actual QC issue or lighting. And 2nd from the right, Hildr, is kind of an acquired taste, so I can see some people liking it. She looks like she's high. Berenice looks really good though there. Cassia is meant to look either evil or seductive due to the irises being high above the bottom of the eye, but it seems there has been QC issues for people. The one in that image you can definitely tell her left eye is off.
>>
>>11826241
By my count, officially, six. Mezco, Frazeta, Icon Collectibles, Boss Sight, S7, and Savage Crucible. That's not including the Legendary Barbarian, who is Conan in everything but name.

>>11826242

>>
>>11826341
I always just assumed that was Conan just not named Conan since he shares so many things in common with the Cimmerian. For as many different companies that are making him, all of them seem to be basing their figures off of different versions and inspirations of his design as seen across various art works and comics.
>>
>>11826360
I think I watched an interview with Rob at one point where he said they want to do a Conan, but the license is tricky to get now with so many being made and that he would rather make one once this period of resurgent Conan figures has ended. Something like that.

I've only skimmed through it as a curiosity, after preordering the figure, and I haven't tried watching it in an honest manner from the start yet. It's a lot of episodes.
Obviously animation is cheap, and direction/editing is very simplistic. From what I've seen, my impression is that it has many mcguffins. The main character is an alchemist/ascetic dude (I've seen both used as a translation, since many ingredients are spiritual such as flames within people and they are merged and refined through meditation) and people eat magical pills to become stronger, transform and shit, so the characters are always looking for, dealing with and fighting for ingredients, skill scrolls, transformations, bloodlines and stuff. They have honor grudges and love doing timed deals, like “we'll fight in three years to solve our honor dispute” or “you'll refine this pill for me in one year or I'm killing you”.

Medusa is sex, anyways.

Kind of annoying that they went with the lamia form for 1/12 and the human form for 1/6 since the latter's how she spends the vast majority of the series, but the statues love going with that form as well because it looks fucking cool. I'll definitely pick it up since she's one of my favorite donghua characters. I remember seeing a picture with silhouettes of some of the other girls, too.

>>11826719
Been watching donghua for a few years now. All of what >>11826895 mentioned is true and pretty standard for the entire cultivation genre. This is one of the first to come out and is only getting ready to wrap up now with a few more episodes and a movie. S1 is pretty meh with more basic art and animation and a bit of a jumbled story. They ended up changing studios after and it gradually improves from there on, really finding its stride by S3 when Medusa appears. The arc between S4 and 5 is excellent, up there with some strong anime seasons. The current massive 209 episode season(technically S5-S8) has fallen off somewhat in a lot of people's opinion, including mine, because the battles and powerleveling are overshadowing everything else.
Still, it's a good entry point for the genre along with Soul Land, another of the first few to come out and blow up in popularity, influencing the shows that came after.

Might want to hurry because not even magic can help you once those deluxes sell out.
>>
>>11827247
See, the issue with imports is, there's little transparency or information. A lot of toys its unclear even when the preorders are supposed to go up to watch for them. Some sites just don't carry a random figure just because. And you'll never be able to tell they aren't going to until a random period of time after when it doesn't show up on the site and is sold out everywhere else.

And it isn't by line or brand either. For Amazing Yamaguchi some sites didn't carry Juri but did carry the Ninja Gaiden figures. Some didn't carry Harley but did carry Juri. And on and on by permutations. Many sites are like this. It's so chaotic. Domestics are sometimes a bit chaotic but far less so than imports.

There is at least some sources of information like livestreams and news websites more heavily cover the exact places/times of preorders. If something isn't at Walmart, you'll know it before the preorder drops. Whereas if something isn't going to be on Gundamit, you will likely have no clue beyond extraordinary measures like communicating directly with the staff. And even then it may be incorrect.
>>
>>11827385
I had this with the Nanmu raptors, I was waiting for Gundamit because they have had every other Nanmu for pre-order and then after half a day I panicked and ordered from somewhere else. They never did end up listing them, so bizarre. But then I am in the UK so everything is an import for me and I get the same shit with US figures, I find it actually easier to get basically any China based ones than stuff like Savage Crucible, Valaverse, Creative Beasts etc. I think the US companies are actually far worse than Japan and China at supplying foreign markets.
>>
>>11827522
>I think the US companies are actually far worse
I mean aside from Hasbro and arguably Mattel, even the other larger ones are overpriced and inconsistent and the smaller ones like I mentioned are infuriating to get hold of.

I think you need to be logged in to view them, apparently. One day I randomly noticed that I was able to view some more items when I was logged in, and I thought that they were hiding some of the sketchy not-licensed figures from common view, but then I haven't been able to fully figure their logic. They may have hidden the raptors because they say they don't offer after-sales support or whatever.

Will they ever re-release Adamonn, /toy/?
>>
>>11827619
Short answer, No.

Long answer, Adamonn was a Powercon Exclusive He-Man homage. He's technically a figure and character that exists within the lore but outside the story, a non-character who was just made because he's a cool toy. As such, he was never considered for All-Star wave re-releases and not really something they planned to re-run.

However with all the new parts and gear, and the new Atlus head, it's entirely possible that one day they could make a V2 of him. If enough people request it and they feel they could make a cool figure, it's not completely impossible he'll see some sort of return on a newer buck.

That said, their Powercon exclusives have been less of priority as of late and they already made a fairly close approximation of a new Not-He-Man in the Legendary Barbarian figure, so I wouldn't really expect to see an Adamonn v2 pop up any time soon.

Speaking of Gundamit, I just saw this listed it's 1/12 scale I know some of you love your dio pieces, looks quite cool. KAWA Design 1/12 Big Gothic Church Diorama.

I was wrong I just checked it ends on the 30th of June. I didn't mention them here cos they are dinosaurs and Jurassic Park ones at that so I didn't want to break the theme, though I am getting them for my fantasy stuff. Pic related, they are gorgeous figure, these ones have quite a few improvements from the previous versions, 1/12 scale as well which is rare for dinos. Can get them on Lanatimeshop, Bombusbee (listed as Nangai for some reason) and 5k I think. I think they are basically made to order essentially as they are only doing a small production based on this short window, so if you're at all interested I wouldn't hesitate.

Speaking of animal figures for fantasy, anyone have experience with Creative Beasts Studio? I have been eyeing that smilodon for months I can't bring myself to pull the trigger cos of the price, are they worth it?

Barbarians riding dinosaurs is a classic fantasy trope. Here is Conan riding a Triceratops.
While I wouldn't want the thread to descend into arguments about whether T-Rex had feathers or not, posting links to dinos and the occasional pic shouldn't be an issue.
>Speaking of animal figures for fantasy, anyone have experience with Creative Beasts Studio?
I had some of the original raptors, and they were a bit frustrating because the leg joint tolerances were a bit weak.
I still have the Kickstarter Dinoriders deco T-Rex, but the range of possibility is a bit meh. I have heard they have improved movement range with some of the later Tyrannosaurs and Cyberzoic stuff like the Allosaurus, but I've also seen a lot more complaints about paint deco not being very good.

As long as there's a dude with a sword somehow related to em, Dinos are very much welcomed in his thread! I find a lot of JP dinos actually work really well with Legions, I'm kind of tempted to make some sort of stockpile saddle type thing for some Ankylos I got for a Dwarf merchant to ride on.

As for Creative Beasts stuff, I have some of their original KS Raptors and they're nice....but too fiddly to be actually fun to play with. I bought em thinking they'd be good pets for Orcs when Legions first dropped, but once I got em in hand and realized they needed stands to actually, well, stand...I kind of lost interest in the line as a whole.

I heard good things about the sabertooths, and a quadruped shouldn't have the same issues as a two legged raptor, but for their price I feel like they're not as solid as they should be.

Incidentally I also recently got that Figma rideable raptor and whooo boy that thing is a piece of shit. Legs can't even hold itself up, let alone something mounted on it's back and it doesn't even have proper sculpting to hold the mouth bit in place. It's also really tiny (which I kind of expected and can deal with) and it's tail does NOT want to stay plugged in. Now I see why HLJ had it for sale at half off. To this day the best rideable raptor I've found is still the Amber Collection ones, but they only work for goblins.

Probably not surprising, given their horses arent the most stable, even on four legs. Speaking of mounts, anyone happen to have a Goblin-kun (real or bootleg) and the warthog from the G.I. Joe Classified line? I want a swine rider, but don't want the big-ass D12 one.

A lot of this, plus a bit of "better than expected" execution, with a healthy sprinkle of toy YouTube/Instagram-induced FOMO. Eric is huge in the fantasy world, with plenty of knock-offs based on him.
>>
>>11828470
They're doing the same thing as any other smaller toy company, unlimited initial pre-orders with limited left over stock once all the pre-orders are filled. It sucks so many people missed the initial boat and are sol who want him, but this isn't anything new in the collector world. Especially when it comes to a licensed character like Elric who may have some sort of limited deal preventing them from making more. Though they did confirm long ago they'll be making different versions of him, so hopefully people don't sleep on future releases and we can avoid this manufactured outrage.

So I did this and this is what they sent me in response. What the actual fuck is happening, I am basically being held hostage, completely out of the blue. Figures I could see two weeks ago are now hidden from me, basically anything new that gets added that isn't a JoyToy is hidden from me and the only way I can functionally use their store is if I buy $150 of points. I have not heard of this happening to anyone else, what is this shit? Have they secretly implemented some loyalty program without telling anyone or something? Fucking bizarre.
>>
>>11828939
This is just another barrier to entry import sites put up. Each has their own upsides and downsides and weirdness people willingly put up with to get the figures they want. Customers have only a few choices and thus will end up either putting up with something they don't lik or giving up on imported figures entirely
>>
>>11828995
I did cancel one deposit, converted into points (a price unknown one), but that was after stuff had already started to be obscured from me, it's partly why I did it and no this is my second figure actually sent from them, but I have a few more on pre-order.
>>11828999
Yeah I guess you're right, it just seems like a really dirty way of doing it. You have to commit a decent amount of money to even see things you actually might want to buy, I personally think it is pretty scummy, massively downgraded them in my eyes.
>>
>>11829026
Yeah I am it's all good, I get most of my stuff from Bombusbee anyway (although that seems to be going haywire right now) I am just whining at the egregiousness of it all. I'll probably do the whole points shit the next time something gets revealed I want or when one of the preorders comes in, I'm just being an indignant bitch.
>>
>>11828939
Wtf, I can see the items and I've never done anything with points, other than earning and redeeming them. Maybe there's a minimum spending that you haven't reached yet and they are suggesting that you buy points to reach that amount instantly.

About the other one gundammit matter, they have reassured me that they will have the Standard and Deluxe versions of the Heroes of Might and Magic III figures and just asked me to please wait. I'm inclined to believe it, but they haven't given me a date or a reason for why they are not listing them yet while other stores are already about to close their preorders along with Fusion Fantasy's official deadline.
>>
>>11829216
You sure they aren't just hidden from you? I'm the exiled-Anon and I can see the limited versions as well.
>>
>>11829355
I can see hidden items, and I've also tried googling for them within the gundamit domain just in case.
They also haven't told me "we have them but you can't see them". They just tell me that of course they will have them, please wait and pay attention to it.
I can reason that maybe they are waiting to have a confirmed price or to finalize whatever aspect of their deal, and they have only put the Limited versions up for preorder because they are limited and can run out. An explanatory answer would be nice.
>>
>>11829401
Gundamit gives no fucks about putting stuff up with Price Unknown. People still rush to buy it somehow. It could be $9999 for all they know but they will still put their nonrefundable deposits down. Why? Because collectors are certifiable. Even I'm not so far gone I would commit 15 bucks to buy something they won't even tell me the price of. But many are.

So I kind of took your advice anon and looked up The Horned God, though instead of reading it online I found a tpb collection of it on sale and just outright bought the whole book after seeing some of the art. Only one chapter in so far and I'll be honest it wasn't I was expecting. I thought it'd be all gore and violence and crazy battles, instead it's a deep, dense, verbose tale of lore and history and character building...at least so far. I also was not expecting the book itself to be PENNED BY THE HANDS OF GIANTS. Like hot damn, this is probably the largest book I've ever laid hands on. It requires real effort to hold this mighty tome aloft to actually read the damn thing, but considering one of the biggest selling point was it's art I can't complain too much. Though I do want to go back and see if I can find more collections of these stories, the heavy Celtic themes and lore are very much something I'm into.

......figures shared for scale.

Ah, that's great Anon, I'm glad you're enjoying it (I think?), Mills and Bisley were on top form for that story. I personally think that The Horned God is to Bisley, as Conan is to Frazetta. I need to get that version, I picked up the "collector's" edition that came out a few years before that one you have came out and it is so inferior in quality. Oh I'm very much enjoying the story and the art. I just can't get over the physical size of the dang book itself, and I kinda wish it had a hardcover.

Incidentally, as soon as I saw that cover, I instantly recognized the outfit from a completely different comic. In the early chapters of the Battle Angel Alita manga, there's this huge cyborg dude who has the same exact look, right down to the face stripes and boar belt. I always felt his design was oddly out of place in a Scrap Punk dystopian future world, but it makes more sense to think of it as an homage character as I'm sure the author of the Manga was a fan of the 2000 AD mags.

$90, not as interesting, and Frazetta's designs are kinda everywhere. SC has a "Conan", Frazetta Girls has a Icons Conan and Retro Conan, Conan Official has a Conan, Boss Fight has a Conan in 1/12 and Retro. Death Dealer is also starting to see this. SC has one, Frazetta Girls has 2 Retro and hinted that a Icons is coming, that old school bootleg looking MOTU company that makes $30 backyard cast looking figures has an official one. These all look great, some very interesting concepts and if those are cheap Barbarian army builders I am ALL for it. However, one massive question I feel needs to be asked is this:

Where. Are. The. Dwarfs?

They were one of the first figure types shown off during the actual Kickstarter, they were claimed to be part of the wave 4 of releases to be produced after all the KS items came out. They even got their own metal coins and special logos and everything. They were supposed to be the first non-kickstarter backed figures produced in the line.

What the hell happened to them?

I'm excited for him. He's a little pricey, but nowhere near as bad as the Loosecollector one. I couldn't justify spending tree fiddy on that. And I'm just going to use the black/grey Mythic Legions horse from All Stars 5. I bought an extra one back then to make a custom DD, but never got around to it, so all up my DD with horse will cost less than half of what the LC one does. I might paint the eyes red and see if I can custom some of its tack to differentiate it.
Not that Death Dealer needs a horse.

If I had to make an uneducated guess, likely whatever is holding-up the Pirahnoids wave got the dwarf, too. I know a couple of influencers got to preview the dwarf, and I'm pretty sure it made the rounds at the cons last year.

Tbh it's one of my most premium figs to date. I love InArt, lpzz, threezero, some mythic legions, sexyice etc.. but they've got nothing on that box, the card and instructions, the swappable parts, and how impressive the end result is.

Among these, these are probably the one's I'm somewhat interested in, but also none really jump out to me as must have. I'll also say, I really, really wish they'd take out the ratcheted joints from these, they'd be so much more fun if they were smooth. Ankles that can only be in so many positions will always be a nightmare. Rob had talked about it one of the podcasts and he seems to think the ratchets will give the figures a longevity that they might not otherwise have, but I have smooth figures from decades ago that still function great, so surely there's a way to make it work.
>>
>>11832309
The ratchets in the shoulders being too strong have really killed my enjoyment of Elric. I love the figure, but his shoulders are such a bitch to pose that I rarely pick him up anymore because it's just frustrating. I'm not really aware of an easy fix, either.

Right, that's what I'm feeling, I don't really want to play around with them. A potential option for you (and for me, though I haven't really tried) would be shock oil to loosen things up. Very, very small doses at a time though, it's a pain in the ass if things get too loose then you need to start tightening them back up.
>>

Have you seen this elephant God figure? That looks like it's going to be ludicrous, he is enormous, look at the lion head next to it. But yeah, I am over the moon that Gundamit got more stock out of the blue.
>>
>>11832349
When I apply oil to figs I put a drop on some foil first and then use the tip of a needle to dip and apply as needed. Managed to avoid over lubing so far doing that.
>>
>>11832349
Is shock oil actually an option for ratchet joints, though? I was only familiar with its use for overly tight friction joints.
>>
>>11832365
Where
>>
>>11832389
Ratchet joints are essentially friction joints with extra steps (little nubs on both ends that catch each other). It should just allow the nubs to pass over each other without catching as hard.

>>11832388
That's a good idea. I similarly use a toothpick that just gets a bit wet after pouring out some oil. Only using more after a few minutes after working the joint. Sometimes it might feel like it wasn't enough, but shortly after it'll move more smoothly.

>>11832365
Nice order. I was thinking of going in on some but I'll probably pick some up at a retailer instead once the chance comes up.
>>
>>11832053
I got DD on pre-order but I didn't even think to use the 4H horse for him. Might have to grab him the next time they add some new stock to their store.

>When they put up the snakes and Kubla Khan for wave 4, I wondered what happened to them.

It's even more confusing because the dwarves were initially pegged to be wave 4. Initially, every wave was supposed to have a different "theme" of figures, but I guess that entire concept just got kicked to the curb when they realized how many mix and match repaints they could drop instead.

>>11832097
At least the Pirahnoids had a pre-order period, the Dwarf was never put up for sale.

>>11832309
Yea, on paper SC figures are great, and they look fantastic in photos. But the actual hand feel of them has always felt wrong and they just don't come off as fiddle friendly as something like a Legions knight.

I also *really* hate their double joint engineering. Even with all those moving parts and extra joints, my white wolf dude gets the exact same bend range as a Valiant Knight arm but looks significantly worse while doing so.

That said, despite seemingly shitting all over these figures, I still do enjoy them and am very eager to grab more. Because while they do have their issues and quirks, they are fantastic figures. What I'm really most excited about is >>11831651 and >>11831656 as I've been wanting "basic" barbarian figures in this line from the start. With all the extra gear some of these figures come with, it sucks not having enough figures to use em on. But some basic barbarians are a great option for all those spare heads and parts.
>>
>>11832396
4H official shop has an army builder/add-on wave up for pre-order right now. This is the final weekend to grab em at their initial price but retailers will also sell them shortly after the 4H pre-order ends....just for $5-10 more. Expected ship date for em is early/mid next year.

>>11832365
Nice, I put my order in last night. Getting a Rat, Vamp, Barbarian and Horse, with add on kits for all but the Barbarian. Was honestly tempted to grab more rats, especially considering the news of it's price hike once it hits retail, but I'm trying to not army build too much anymore and he should work just fine as a one off character.

Overall I wasn't all that happy with how this wave was handled. Previous reinforcement waves were good ways to get cheap fodder figures and army builders, but this one just felt like we were getting nickled and dimed on full package figures who just had their gear split into a second box. It felt like any budget I wanted to spend on army builders got eaten up by add-on sets instead.

I also feel the purple chick should've been her own special release instead of being crammed into an army builder wave. I mean, I got issues with that figure as well, mostly in that it could've easily been more accurate to the logo it's based on with some small changes. But my biggest gripe is mostly how it's in a wave it really doesn't belong in.
>>
>>11832365
May have missed it here but they said that the rats will be 49.99 at retail, so the 30 direct is probably the best bet if you want a number of them. I like the look of the body but I find it looks a bit goofy.

That's a whole new buck you have to invest into. I guess the logic is that you'd typically start by making a male buck and exploiting it, then you introduce the female because it may be more eyecatching but also more niche (if you make a few, they may sell very well, but you can't count on coomers to buy a dozen different barbarian girls because they may only want one or two). So, females would typically come after males, but since Savage Crucible decided they wanted to do lizards and fish, that pushes females further down the list.

So right before the Pre-order for the Reinforcements ended, I found myself getting got again. I realized if I had a second rat, I could make em both fairly unique with the add on set I got. But I'm not paying shipping for one figure, I added a Valiant Knight to go with my other generic troops in the Leodyssian Army.

But I passed on the tunic set, I plan on using the Forge Knight one instead. It looks way nicer, comes with more bits and is the same price. Overall, I wasn't happy with the official tunics, I feel they should've had unique designs per faction or at the very least come with faction specific shields. It's bad enough the base figure they're made for will be the same for each army, do they really need the same stylists as well? Something like a long surcoat for the Earthyrons, a cloak for the forest people and some sort of robe for the wizards would've been far more interesting add-ons.

>>11833438
They mentioned they'd come eventually, but they've definitely bogged themselves down with so many male parts to mix and match with. It's also most likely the good old problem of "Boys not buying Girl toys" thing, as even the female figures the 4H put out seem to be second fiddle to the male figures. Unless they're a schoolgirl or can be stripped naked (or both), it seems most people here don't care about female figures.

>>11833696
>>11833697
She's tempting, but I got their first female and she didn't exactly blow me away so I'm hesitant to grab this one. There's also the issue of not knowing which one I like better, though I am leaning towards the blue skinned one as she'd fit right in with my slowly growing Frost Barbarian faction.

The three armed skeleton dude is cool though, might just grab him.

So the 4H have partnered up with the guys who do tigers in karate outfits again to put out a new SDCC figure. Though this guy won't be sold by the 4H and instead is going to be the exclusive at the Icon Heroes booth (which is incidentally right next to the 4H booth since they're all friends) with a very limited quantity sold after the con on the Icon Heroes website. So while this is a 4H produced figure using the Legions build system, it is NOT a Legions figure from the Four Horsemen and it is not their exclusive. It's just an exclusive they made for the booth right next to em cause that's what buddies do for each other.

No but seriously, I do kind of appreciate how willing the 4H are to help other smaller producers make and market their stuff. And I'm hoping the snake dude is easy to get...because my growing army of rainbow colored Snakemen needs to continue growing.

Yea, I'd probably lose the top and try to mod the pants or something if I got him. But of special note, he's the first fully naked snake/lizard man figure they ever made, including a new bare waist piece.

Though he does have the same issue as every other snake with the giant neck gap. I really wish they made some sort of collar/snake hood piece that covered that up as otherwise the snakes are probably some of their best figures.

I was convinced I didn't need this guy because his color was so close to the Thraxxian from the recent Oxkrewe wave (which I plan on using the snake head pack on) but this changes everything. Naked Snake? What a thrill.
On another note, it's nice to see the retail price for most of the Legion Builder Reinforcements wave is only $5 more than Store Horsemen like the RPG wave was.
Except for the one figure I would gladly build a swarm of. I missed the memo on that until after the sale had wrapped up. Fugg. I wish I had bought nothing but Bilge figures at Store Horsemen during the preorder period.

The snake guy does look good bare like that, he's also pretty ripped, I bet some days he feeds on a tree frog or something. I'd like to see some of your guys' Mythic collections one day, it'd be cool if you could post wide shots of them or big scenes or whatever. >On another note, it's nice to see the retail price for most of the Legion Builder Reinforcements wave is only $5 more than Store Horsemen like the RPG wave was.
Yep, overseas retailer prices are nice, too. Got three Valiant Knights for 32€ each, plus the add-on and the tunic set for 22€ each.
The whole idea of cheaper figures is nice. The line is at the stage where it manages to offer lots of accesories on regular figures because of recouped costs, but it's nice to be able to buy simpler figures with just a couple of weapons and extra hands for pre-inflation prices. Buying addons is a choice that you can make and tune to your needs.
>>
>>11834851
I have so many weapon packs that I've redistributed among all the figures now. I soubt I could even guess what was originally with them or not.
>>
>>11834851
>The whole idea of cheaper figures is nice.
I agree. I do like the concept of the add-on packs too, though I do think they should have been $5 cheaper like the RPG ones were. But it's still good. I can buy 4 Vampire Archers and the add-on pack and have 4 unique figures for much less than what 4 basic figures would cost.

And I am a bit annoyed that the Bilge is $50 retail price. I get that it's production cost was close to the same as a basic figure because of its paint apps, but compared to a full priced basic figure which usually goes for $55 retail, it doesn't come with enough to justify being only $5 less. A basic figure usually comes with minimum of 3-4 accessories, soft goods, a heap of alt hands, and at least 1 alt head. Comparing it to any of the basic figures from the Dawn of Discovery wave like Vitus, Delphina, or Captain Ironskull, it feels seriously lacking for the price. I think $45 would have been reasonable. It's not going to stop me from buying them, but I will be buying less than I had intended.

Once direct pre-orders are done shipping, retailers will start shipping theirs and hopefully any left over stock will be put up for sale. Since the people who responded to you only seem to have the raptors and the first Tyrannosaurus Rex, I'll give you an answer about the state of the current figures and not just ones that are 8 years old.
>OG 1/6 scale Raptors
Do not get these unless you are actually a dinosaur enthusiast and don't mind having what are essentially statues that can do a little bit of articulation for posing, but always have to be on their stand.
>Ceritopsian wave
iffy paint work, and some of the early ones had issues with closing their mouths fully, but the later ones are solid.
>Tyrannosaur line
Do not buy any of the large Tyrannosaurs, especially not the Tyrannosaurus Rex, which is having its 2.0 released later this year with fully modernized articulation. The smaller tyrannosaurs like my Alectrosaurus are fun to play with and easy to pose, but the large and medium tyrannosaurs all have issues. Dryptosaurus has its 2.0 figure with the Cyberzoic line, and it's great and Yutyrannus's 2.0 should be shipping soon, but all of the other medium and large tyrannosaurs have bad hips and bad ankles. I really like my Daspletosaurus, but it's totally blown out of the water by my two Allosaurs.
>Cyberzoic
It sucks that the one figure you asked specifically about is the only figure from this line that I can't 100% recommend. The Cyberzoic dinosaurs and dragons are great; they have modernized articulation, the paintwork is generally more consistent and less prone to being goopy, and they are just very fun to mess with... except the Smilodon. Ross (the guy who does the articulation for CB and for Hasbro) hates breaking the sculpt up for articulation, so the Smilodon has mediocre elbow articulation in the cat's front limbs. Also I hate the swappable mane.
>Beasts of the Cenozoic
The Mammoths are great, and I can't wait for my Frost Ogre to arrive so I can have him as a mammoth herder. Andrewsarchus is a letdown.

Hah that'll be cool, I look forward to seeing that.

New Legionscon figures will be continuation of the Crossroad sets from last year, with the first one revealed being a 2.0 Ghost Elf figure with multiple heads and torsos....essentially being it's own army builder type thing. Completely compatible with the Nymph set from last year.

Pic related is the *Standard* set, exclusive parts haven't been revealed yet.

will have more info as they give it and will probably share the pics at the end cause it's a pain to constantly take pics of the youtube vid.

But I will say this, they *better* pump this set out in absurd numbers if they intend people to buy multiples of it. It's not nearly as cool as the Warrior set from last year, but it's neat enough for people to want multiple versions of, especially to use flanking the Churel or something.

So due to reasons, couldn't finish watching the stream tonight, will scan through it tomorrow for any interesting info. But this is the final pic of the first Legionscon Exclusive set, and honestly it's not nearly as much as a must have as I feared. The only parts exclusive to the con are the bald vamp chick head from Lucretia and Gryshaa the Slytherer, both first time reuses but neither really scream *must have* to me.

Still it's cool to see them reusing the new 2.0 buck...but it sucks that it's essentially another black repaint of that build since we just got one in the Reinforcements wave. They need to use this figure to make a standard rogue character already because they've done everything with this build BUT that.

>>11836013
Lighting and staging are probably the most important parts of photography and I'd say you have the second part down, so a few choice lamps should be enough for the first aspect. It's honestly something I have a lot of trouble with as well as my toy room just has the worst light set up. But if you really need a lightbox, I'm sure there's plenty of tutorials around that can show you how to build one for cheap.

Now proper backgrounds, that can be the difficult part. If you don't have the space or resources to build your own, it can get expensive to buy 3d back drops. Though a couple of plants or decorative items can easily work just as well with proper angles. And something as simple as a good printed picture can make a world of difference for a pic.
>>
>>11836185
This is the second Legionscon figure and it looks far more fantastic and very much compliments the Warrior from last year. The new parts used are pretty great and the reused parts are rare enough to feel fresh in this set. It also has a full on normal human fighter build option for those who just want another badass heavy knight in black armor.

The only exclusive parts in this set are the really cool flaming skull piece and the ubiquitous annual reuse of the Gorgo helm, with an admittedly cool paint job this time around. While this too is supposed to be it's own army builder, you could easily just grab one and use the left over pieces to spruce up other figures.

It's still easily the cooler of the two sets though, but not something I feel I'll absolutely need the exclusive version of.
>>
>>11835818
Which one did you get? They still have the wave 1 exclusive Imperial Sentry and Shield of D'Zaera available on their website, and Veteris Rapax is on BBTS.
Also, they made some posts on their socials a while back explaining that they have different terms for sold out on their website.
"Sold out" means it's sold out at the moment/for this sale, but they have stock left for cons and future online drops, like how Four Horsemen do with Figura Obscura.
"Entombed" means completely sold out and discontinued.
None of the lizards are "entombed" so they should be available at any cons they attend, or might show up again in a future sale. The Shadow Slate was sold out since its first appearance, but was available again during the recent sale, so there is precedent.

Eh, it's alright, but having missed the Warrior/Revenant, I don't feel the urge to try getting it. Nice to see the Gryshaa head again. They should give him a V2 figure in the Legacies line. I miss owning him, and can't be fucked with the secondary market.

Nin Vilimir. I wanted some of the basic lemurians and some shadow slates.
>>
>>11836189
I don't give a shit about the Minotaur parts, but the rest of it looks damned good. Maybe just below the level of the Warrior/Revenant. I hope they learned from the Warrior and pump up production numbers.

>>11836198
The Slates and Savages always fly of the "virtual pegs" when they put them up because people love cheap army builders. I wish they were an evergreen item. I've missed the Shadow Slate twice now.

I have a vampire gladiator with red armor from the Legionscon in stock sale I had no idea what to do with after they dropped the black armored one for pre-order, but I think he'll look real good with some bull parts.

But yea, even without the Minotaur bits, the rest of the set looks really good. I'll definitely need to find a spare body for those zombie pieces, and that cat o' nine(three?) tail flail looks metal. Might have to thread some wires between the links so it's actually poseable.

They better have tons of these guys made and even more for the inevitable in stock massacre. They did people dirty with the Warrior set, I really hope they don't do it again with these guys.

Looks like another goblin on the horizon. Company called Ghost Axe Studio. They seem to be in the vein of MetyToyz. They released a big purple dude recently, so there's some track record, at least. Supposed to come with "a lot of crazy accessories".
>>
>>11836717
I was content with the way they made minotaurs until they made Regarionn, the Yakotaur. Now I wouldn't mind if they took another stab at Torrion on the ogre build, but with a different, more ferocious head to Regarionn. I will say, the addition of hock parts on this guy and the new Boarrior in the RPG wave do a lot to improve them and give him a bit of a height boost, but I still want my minotaurs to be truly monstrous.

I do want the Ghost Rider head, and am slightly mad that they made such a cool looking part exclusive yet again, but it's not as bad as what they did with the previous Con exclusives where they made half of Scaphoid's followers and Valgard's army builder locked to exclusive parts.
And I love that they have been redecoing the zombie parts like crazy. Between the original Undead pack, the Graveyard Zombie, the Cosmic Upgrade pack, and this, I've got some great color variation for my undead horde. Too bad I skipped Beyithirr or I'd have a another one to add.
>>
>>11836876
I like this guy more than the recent Hopdo rape goblin anons were posting.
>>
>>11836777
It's strong enough to make me want her despite never liking WoW.

>>11836876
>>11837071
Yea, he's got a bit less personality but I really like this smug little bastard more then the other rape goblins. Hopefully they're not too expensive as pricey goblins really works against the whole concept of the race. Perhaps if instead of doing each one packed with tons of gear as suggested, they do a standard/deluxe version kind of release. Basic set is just the goblin and a few key accessories while the dlx set has all the crazy accessories.

>>11837069
As much as I love my Yakotaur....I've been begging for him since he first popped up on the side of the original Ogre box....I feel Ogre class is way too big for your average Minotaur. I'd rather see them put the Brute scale to use and make a dedicated Minotaur buck from that. On a brute buck they'd tower over standard figures, especially if they had new appropriately sized hock parts, but still be at a height where'd they could be considered a "standard" race as they are.

I'm not saying to not do an Ogre scale Minotaur, I think it'd be cool to do an absolutely giant bull man as some sort of special outlier for the race (similar to Regarionn), but I think a slightly larger then standard Minotaur would be the best size class for these powerful beasts who live amongst men.

.....and it kills me they still haven't done a simple, standard Zombie Legion builder yet. Should've had one in the RPG wave instead of yet another basic Skeleton.

Best thing of there being so many goblins (there still are these from last years Shanghai Wonfest to be officially announced) is that you can just buy one of each and end up with a messy horde. They all look like they can work next to each other.
>>
>>11837153
Hmm, I missed those, and yeah, mixed lines of goblins ad to the rag-tag nature of the race.
There's a lot I like about the Ghost Axe one, but it looks like it might have single elbows and knees, and thats a little bit of a bummer.
>>
>>11837153
A mixed horde of goblins is best horde of goblins.

Also, completely forgot about the Cosmic Oxkrewe in stock sale....and seeing how much is still in stock so did everyone else. Really highlights the difference in popularity of the two lines as even the new purple voodoo space wizard guy hasn't sold out yet. If the green space lizard man had colors closer to the Mythic snakeman, I probably would've grabbed at least one of him. But with how much darker his scales are, a headswap with the brighter green snake head just wouldn't look good. Besides, if I was gonna drop $50 on him, it probably would be better to just get the green snake man directly. Though space dude does have cooler weapons.

Also also, got my Blue Shield Knight and Car Burglar in hand, but I probably won't get to mess with em until sunday at the earliest, and even that's iffy. But watch your doorsteps, this wave is showing up right now for those who ordered single figures.

>But with how much darker his scales are, a headswap with the brighter green snake head just wouldn't look good.
I might have posted about this factoid before when I was tossing up about how well the second Cosmic snake head pack will work with the brown Thraxxian, but it is extremely common for snakes to have heads that are a completely different shade or color than the rest of their body.
My Ardenscale just arrived from my PoL, and I've been lazy and haven't opened him yet, but I might do it later to see how the extra head looks on the Thraxxian. I was going to leave the Thraxxians to be just a weird reptoid for Mythic, like Agarthans or something, but the brown snake head pack changed my plan.
And for the record, I am definitely trying to shill you into buying the Thraxxian. Unlike the Olek Thygar snake torso, his torso has a midsection cut like the female/elf 2.0 torso which gives it greater poseability.

>>11837839
I remember seeing comments to that affect before, I'll have to wait and see pics of what the swap actually looks like before I jump in.

And yea, the newer build the Thraxxion uses is nice, Qoi and Vernaliss use the same buck, which not only has that mid ab joint, but is actually larger then the standard Legion figures. Qoi looks pretty imposing next to a normal human figure even with that a bit of a hunch he has going on.

But yea, at this point I want Snakemen in all colors of the rainbow.

>>11838342
I like some aspects of their designs, but for some reason they never really click fully for me. It's cool that there's a good 1:18 scale fantasy line out there though, especially as an alternative to Legions for those who want smaller sized figures.
>>
>>11838342
Neat. It will probably be a bit small for Legions, but I have Figmas mixed in with my Legions because I'm not a stickler for scale.

Pretty high, the 4H haven't had any real issues outside of some slight shipping delays. It's still on track for end of this year/beginning of next year and that info hasn't changed in a long while. I'm sure we'll get more news as we get closer to Legionscon, might even have an in-hand test shot or something.

>>11839183
They scale so well they can actually share gear with each other. I don't have any pics if the figures next to each other, but the blue snake in this pic is wearing a Savage Crucible belt and wielding SC weapons.

Though a Savage Crucible human would look very weird next to a Legions human as they have wildly different proportions. SC figures are very tall and lanky, the joint engineering especially make them feel very slender. While Legions figures are thick, like chonky hefty thick. Especially their heads, Legions have huge ass heads. Newer bare skin builds are honestly more slender, but they're still far more meaty then a SC figure.

Basically, monsters and armored figures should blend well together, but two bare skinned humans and you'd see they're from two very different lines.

.....I gotta dig out my ball-and-chain warrior and get some comparison pics going.

Man, according to SpicyPsyDuck, because of JoyToy getting the Warcraft license, Mety and Grey Knight will likely be ending their Warcraft lines after they finish what is already in production. If that means their Maiev doesn't get made now I am going to be extremely sad, I pray to Crom it counts as one in production.
>>
>>11839364

They have Starcraft as well, I believe the Starcraft figures got delayed, they were supposed to be this August. Warcraft slated for October-December sometime then we should see the first ones, not sure if they are 1/18 1/12 or both, have to wait and see.
>>11839621
Yeah I believe it's about license infringement and fear of being sued, Mety guy confirmed today after they are done with what is nearing completion they are ending it and moving on to original and licensed stuff. I believe a green Grom is still coming out soon, another limited run like the red one.
>>
>>11839621
Aren't there some laws (or lack thereof) that make it very easy for Chinese toy makers to dodge foreign trademark claims? Shit might be different once another Chinese toy maker gets the license in question.
>>
Just saw this message on Bombusbee for this dwarf figure I know some of you were looking forward to. I had a look around at other sites listing it and haven't seen anyone else with any mention of it being cancelled, but thought I'd give a heads up, you might want to investigate if you pre-ordered.
>>
>>11839689
The Chinese government/law enforcement usually doesn't care if a western company is being infringed upon unless they have made big investments in China, like Lego building multiple factories made them more responsive to the Lepin situation. There are avenues and agencies to assist in pursuing a company for trademark infringement, but they are expensive and time consuming. But you are right, when it's another Chinese company that has licensed a western property, trademarks are taken very seriously.

Thanks for the write ups and pics, wasn't able to be around when the things started so it's nice to have these to help catch up.

Overall, cool they're doing new figures, and considering it's been space zombies, skeleton robots, furry gnomes and an actual Space Knight released so far, this is probably the closest they've gotten to dropping Cosmic figures that I'd actually want.

....and as I type this they just drop a space ninja character. Mythic-In-Space is starting to fill out nicely. Ninja dude actually comes with new space pistols FINALLY and he even has actual holsters for em.

Can't say I'll actually be buying a lot of these guys, but they're far more tempting then a lot of the previous Cosmic stuff they've dropped. But in the end I'll probably stick to figures I can steal parts to use on Mythic characters as well. Since all these guys have extra it'd be easy to add new faces to my Mythics without having headless Cosmics to worry about.

They should mix really well with Vampire parts or the new Zombie accessories from the Legionscon figure. It's a cool concept of a figure and I kinda wish they included some alternate limbs to really mix and match the parts on the figure around.

Personally, I'm more in love with the Space Knight chick, almost to the point where I might need the SDCC Space Crusader to go with her, high tech versions of medieval weapons is exactly what I want to see come from this line.

Though the retro space blaster the new alien dude comes with is also pretty fantastic. Way better then the incredibly generic looking guns they've used in the line so far, even the new ones dropping from this wave. They look like they'd work just as well for G.I. Joes as they do for Cosmic stuff.

Is 27C a dangerous ambient temp for my figs? Been panicking a bit during this hot weather, don't really have a way to cool down aside from relocating them all to a downstairs cupboard.
>>
So after seeing all the options, I'll probably only grab three or so of these guys. The Space Knight Chick is a must have for me, a no brainer, an easy purchase. Badass silver armored hot chick with a bit sword? I'm all over that. I can even see myself giving her some shelf space, which none of my Cosmic figures have gotten. I also might get one of the basic troop builders and his gear pack. Though I'll swap the head to a more heroic looking face, slap on some Mythic accessories (chain main neck piece, pauldrons), give him a sword and shield and have him play the part of rookie partner to space chick. Combine these two with the SDCC Space Crusader and I got the start to a regular old Zero G Round Table.

From there I'm kind of tempted by the furry mechanic guy, but mostly because I wanna use his extra heads on a mythic character. The robots are cool, and the space zombies are cool, but they both pretty much demand to be bought in multiples and I just refuse to do that with Cosmic. Ninja dude is also pretty neat....but I'm sure all his best parts will crossover to Mythics before you know it.

Both the alien dudes look cool though, glad to see them breaking away from reusing the same old parts. But neither of them are something I'd be interested in.

>>11841735
There's almost no way it won't, that's just begging for some cross line pop-n-swaps and the 4H love having that kind of compatibility between figures. Well, at least recently they do.

>>11841748
My house hit 90Fs the past weekend cause my AC broke down, but a few days of that didn't really hurt them. I'd say as long as they're not in direct sunlight or super swampy humidity they'll be fine.
>>
>>11841719
>Zorrtexx
Definitely the one I'm most interested in. Prolly gonna get him and the robot, plus the extra robot bits.
>>
I am trying to quit Cosmic because everytime I buy them, I end up not enjoying them as much as Mythic. They are still good figures, but they don't get the blood running like Templars and skellies do.
>>11841663
I am definitely making an exception for this one. I guess roboskeletons are technically skeleton adjacent.
>>11841694
Also this one.
>>11841719
I really like this guy too. Reminds me of 50s/60s retro sci-fi aliens like Power Lords. The exposed brain is reminiscent of Mars Attacks and Metaluna Mutant.

The rest are fine, and the generic space knight chick is almost tempting, but I have to draw a line in the sand somewhere.

>>11841699
