I have yet to receive any tariff refunds.
>>
Haha
>>
>>11825604
We're going to be left poor and then conpanies will wonder why we aren't spending money on toys.
>>
>>11825604
What made you think you were getting any? Those were pocketed by all the businesses that passed the fee on to you, so you basically paid them twice and will get nothing in return.
>>
Tbh I think companies that did their accounting properly and had tariffs as a separate line item in theory could refund consumers if they wanted to. Others with messy accounting that didn’t track tariffs and just increased prices probably are struggling to get their own refund let alone give it back to their customers. But the ones that could do it but don’t, I feel like would be targets for class action lawsuits. Surprised every company isn’t being sued right now. HLJ for example shows tariffs separately so they could probably figure out exactly how much to give back each buyer. But I guess they’d need to be refunded first before they give money back and not sure if that’s happened since the admin is fighting back on refunds now. There might be some other legal loopholes that allow companies to keep the money idk the whole thing is such a confusing shitshow obviously.
>>
>>11825604
The American people knew full well that tariffs were going to come and voted him in anyway. You have no one to blame but yourself.
>>
>>11825604
Yeah, I guess bbts owes me a credit of some sort.
Does the refund include food because coffee seems crazy high
>>
Tariffs are not taxes that get “rebated” to consumers. Ever.
>>
>>11825880
No, we have the dems to blame for running a candidate who didn't have enough support to even make it to the democratic primary in 2020 before dropping out and endorsing Biden. And then to make matters worse, the media gaslit everyone into thinking it was somehow going to be a sweep for this previously unpopular candidate, leading to 10 million less democratic voters while Trump got almost the exact same number of votes.
>>
>>11825905
>DA JEWS
>>
>>11825909
Bernie was literally more popular than Kamala though.
>>
>>11825909
Didn't say a thing about Jews. Just explained to you what literally happened. If they hadn't tried to run a barely coherent Biden and then swap him out for a wildly unpopular Kamala with only 107 days to go, they probably could have won.
>>
>>11825911
>I can't be racist, I have a black friend.
>>
>>11825799
there's about zero chance of ever getting a refund from any of these companies even if the government is eventually forced to pay them back
amazon may get its money back but you and I aren't seeing a dime of what was passed on to us
>>
>>11825909
You were talking about the media as if it's some monolith able to expertly control the public. A person who relies on antisemitic tropes would likely see political arguments the same way.
>>
I do not even care about these refunds, just make the tariffs gone. Even if we did get refunded any amount it'll just be lost to more tariffs eventually anyway
>>
>>11825930
Only if you keep buying imports.
>>
>>11825933
But imports are the only toys worth buying 95% of the time....
>>
>>11825936
Well. It's not like imported action figures are an actual NEED. Unlike say gas or something like that.
>>
>Tariff refunds
I guess this is something I'm too non-american to understand...
But genuinely wish you good luck, OP
>>
>>11825909
>>11825924
>antisemitic tropes
one day you'll live in the real world kiddie lmao
>>
>>11825882
It's funny because the companies like BBTS that were more transparent about "tariff increases" are most likely the ones to face lawsuits if they don't somehow reimburce people when the tariff refunds happen. Companies that just said "screw you pay more" will just get a second payday by pocketing the refunds while continuing to keep prices high.

>>11825905
I like how instead of blaming the numerous amount of people who actually wanted this to happen, you blame the people who tried to stop it. Just can't criticize your orange messiah even when he's clearly a flailing imbecile who's actively ruining your life huh?
>>
Americans are a joke
>>
>>11825970
Holy shit. Stop and think, fool. Would I have wanted the democrats to have run a superior candidate that could have actually won if I was a fan of Trump? The right was always going to vote for him no matter what he did and said. Biden in 2020 received over 6 million more votes than Kamala and 4 million more than Trump in 2024. This loss is a consequence of the left's numerous missteps.
>>
>>11825983
Frankly anon, your kind do not belong here and need to kindly fuck off already.
>>
>>11825986
>your kind
And what exactly do you think that is?
>>
>>11825970
nta I personally love how when a lot of people who voted for Trump got ostracized by family and stuff they got all confused. They're all for that sort of thing just as long as it's not against themselves.
>>
>>11825990
People who get extremely invested in politics on a fucking toy board.
>>
>>11826014
Oh, wait, sorry, forgot mention, now here's the part where you go "but he started it!".
>>
I imported a jamma board from shitaly and the guy declared its value (over $1k) on the customs form. Didn’t pay a single cent to receive it from the carrier. Anyone charging you “tariff surcharge” for comparatively valueless action figures is either a shekel grabbing happy merchant, or some TDS loon trying to make a political point with no basis for it.
Wake up.
>>
>>11825983
>The right was always going to vote for him no matter what he did and said.
Yes, that's how it works. The Right always votes for the Right, and the Left always votes for the Left. If Right votes Left or Left votes Right, their vote gets discarded. The only party that actually has a choice in which way they vote are the Independents/Libertarians (NOT to be confused with Liberals). Voting these days really just boils down to how many people actually decide to show up at the polls - the candidate with the highest voter attendance wins.
>>
voting should be reserved for those that do military service like how this country was founded
>>
>>11826014
The entirety of this site is just /pol/ lite at this point. You just have to deal with it.
>>
>>11826024
I don’t give a single fuck what zogbots think about anything. They should be filling potholes and clearing homeless camps.
>>
>>11826024
But people in the military are mostly useless not too intelligent grunts who were directionless and/or fell for imperialist propaganda
>>
>>11826031
What's your point here?
>>
>>11826028
And a coomity coom to you too as well!
>>
>>11826035
NTA, but he's saying that, by making it do that only military people have the right to vote, you're ensuring that the absolute dumbest of the dumb and most easily swayed by propaganda are the ones choosing the country's leadership. Things would be even worse than they are now, because they're the kind of people who literally cannot think for themselves - good soldiers follow orders, after all.
>>
>>11826015
No, this is the part where I call you a retard for coming into a tariffs thread and being surprised to see politics.
>>
>>11826105
How is that any different from now?
>>
>>11825943
>Zat is not a NEED!
>Owning is not a NEED!
>YOU WILL OWN NOTHING AND BE HAPPY.

its 2026 just 3d print your own toys
>>
>>11825604
Good lmao
Hope those chink figures were worth it!
>>
>>11826105
I recall this was something ancient Greek philosophers criticized about Spartan society. Grunts leading grunts.

Unfortunately politics likes to force it's ugly heads into people's every day lives, especially now when poor leadership is actively costing us money. It's easy to ignore for kids who barely left highschool, but anyone in any stage of adulthood will have to deal with this crap whether they like it or not. Believe me, I would much rather be talking about how I was pleasantly surprised that the Jazware's 1:18 Banshee worked so well with G.I. Joe Classified, or how I wish Brynyar Vael came with more scabbards to stow his other swords, but sadly I find myself bitching because I can't order from JP sites anymore without getting hit with exorbitant shipping rates and surprise fees. Hell, buying from JP sites is so bad these days, it makes buying the same figures from BBTS actually more cost effective.

>>11826302
Don't forget the surprise fees when the delivery man shows up to your door asking for a check. If I could buy the figures I want domestically I would....but there are no domestic toy stores anymore(thanks to venture capitalists) , let alone ones who sell niche import Gashapon and Blind Box figures. There's a reason these things weren't taxed before.

>>11825983
An old shoe was a better candidate then what we got. It didn't matter who went against him, they did everything they could to stack the deck in his favor in every possible way. Misinformation campaigns telling opponents the wrong way to vote, various laws passed that put hurdles in the way of low income areas to get to voting locations, hundreds of thousands purged from voter rolls the day before the election and of course some good old fashion blind loyalty.

I'm not saying she was the best candidate, but at the time there were no good choices once crazy grandpa choked in his debate. That said, she's a thousand times more qualified then what we got because at least she would've kept people who know how to do the job in place to do their jobs.
>>
>>11825604
Next you'll expect a refund from Pfizer.
>>
>>11825604
You know importers have to apply and show reciepts for that, right? You don't just get them. Go do your paperwork, retard.
>>
>>11826329
>at least she would've kept people who know how to do the job in place to do their jobs
>>
Supposedly some companies are getting them, guess we'll have to see what they do once they get the full amount since it's apparently in phases
>>11825970
>>11825882
Am very curious to see how BBTS and other similar stores handles it, I assume they'll go the lazy way and just give you in-store credit
>>
>>11826486
That's like, the least concerning of the fanfics that anon just admitted to believing in.
>>
>>11825970

There are consequences to limp wristed political posturing even if you are on the right side of an issue. The sooner people realize that the sooner we can go back to being a civilized society.
>>
>>11825604
We're never seeing that money again bro
>>
>>11825770
that should be at the basic foundation of human needs
>>
>>11825604
You're not going to. The companies that wanted to get it for themselves aren't getting it either. Anybody who thinks the government will pay out to ANY entity for the tariff situation are fucking retarded.
>>11826028
At least in moderate defense of these people, it makes sense. Politics has forced it's way into basically every fuckin' hobby due to one retarded thing or another weaseling its way into them (mostly politicially correct/DEI/woke bullshit like in anime/games), so that naturally politicizes the people exposed to it. It's not like a lot of these people WANT to be political necessarily.
