There were seven Spanish angels at the altar of the sun.
They were prayin' for the lovers in the valley of the gun.

When the battle stopped and the smoke cleared,
There was thunder from the throne,
And seven Spanish angels took another angel home.

What is difference between playscale and playset?
>>
>>11826691
Playscale is a set made for play such as ahsoka jedi interceptor with minifigures meanwhile sets like midi scale venator or Yoda bust are made for display (to be put on a shelf to collect dust).

A playset is a set that has play features, such as OP Arlong Park which has the gimmick of Pagoda falling apart by a click and has minifigures. I hope this was clear friend.

he's SPECIFICALLY complaining about people (I.E. Just saw TS5 yesterday. Will LEGO be doing more sets? That movie made me so happy, so I’m planning to pick up all the current Toy Story sets still on shelves. If I’ve got it right, there are only about three at the moment, right? The train, the ranch, and Slinky???

Though I think only the ranch is actually based on 5. I really think they should bring back more playsets like they did for Toy Story 3, that wave had so many great ones.

I’d also love to see the tech devices as brick built characters, kind of like Stitch. Maybe even a “tech toys” pack with all four of them as builds, plus a minifigure or two.

And we definitely need another Zurg and hi-tech Buzz army.

It just feels strange that we have so few Toy Story sets when this film is probably going to make a billion.

I want to bring up the fact that the rise in price for lego products has little to do with a rise in cost of production. Since actually producing the sets cost a shockingly low amount in terms of company spend. Essentially the company offsets bad financial decisons on to consumers.

Bounty hunter pursuit is based on a scene from episode 2, when it was still owned by George Lucas.

You want a set literally about a Bounty Hunter hiring another bounty hunter to send a droid to deliver bugs to kill a target. A target that a seperatist leader wants dead despite being the lone senator fighting back against the creation of an army that would actively hamper the Secession movement.

B but attack of the clones WAS a bad movie. Everyone thought so. It was so bad it created Elliot Rodger.
From his manifesto-
Mother was still friends with George Lucas, so we got invites to the red carpet premiere of Star Wars Episode 1. I always was and always will be a huge Star Wars fan. I had already seen the original trilogy many times, and I considered myself very lucky to be able to go to the premiere of the new Star Wars movie.

It was an absolutely astonishing experience. It was just me and my mother – Georgia was too young, so she stayed at home with a babysitter. Episode 1 is infamous for being the lesser movie of the three new prequels, but as a kid I enjoyed it very much. Afterwards, I met some of the actors, and I shook the hand of Jake Lloyd, the actor who played Anakin Skywalker in the movie.
>Maybe he transmitted his mental illness to Jake Lloyd when he shook his hand?
My mother attained tickets to the red carpet premiere Star Wars Episode 2: Attack of the Clones. We received four tickets. Georgia was old enough to go, and I persuaded mother to let me give the fourth ticket to James. I was awestruck by the time the movie ended. It found it to be absolutely phenomenal. James and I talked about it for hours afterward.

So why did Jango hire another Bounty Hunter instead of just sending the Droid himself?
>>
File: mining_guild_tie.jpg (95 KB, 1192x670)
95 KB JPG
>>11827294
Jango Fett hired Zam Wesell to carry out the assassination of Senator Padmé Amidala primarily to maintain plausible deniability and avoid direct detection by the Jedi, while also relying on her unique shapeshifting abilities to infiltrate security measures he couldn't bypass himself.

Here is the breakdown of why he subcontracted the job:

Avoiding Direct Suspicion: As the galaxy's most famous bounty hunter, Jango Fett was a known entity. If he were caught or traced directly, the investigation would lead immediately to Count Dooku and the Separatist plot. By using a middleman (Zam), the chain of command was obscured. If Zam was caught, she would be the face of the failure, not Jango

The Plan Required a "Sacrifice": The broader Sith plot (orchestrated by Palpatine) didn't necessarily require Padmé's death; it required a failed assassination that would be traced back to a specific location. Jango needed someone who would be caught or tracked. The plan was for the Jedi to interrogate Zam, who would then lead them to Jango's ship, and eventually to Kamino, thereby revealing the Clone Army to the Republic and forcing the war that Palpatine desired

Specialized Skills: Zam Wesell was a Clawdite, a species capable of perfect shapeshifting. This allowed her to alter her appearance to bypass security protocols or blend in where Jango, in his distinctive Mandalorian armor, could not
1
3. While Jango is a superior warrior, Zam's specific talent for disguise offered a tactical advantage for an infiltration that a direct assault by Jango might not achieve.
>>
>>11827307
>Jango Fett hired Zam Wesell to carry out the assassination of Senator Padmé Amidala primarily to maintain plausible deniability
She outs him as the main assassin as soon as she has the opportunity
>avoid direct detection by the Jedi
See above, also he kills Zam in sight of the Jedi with a traceable dart in a world where fucking lasers exist.
>while also relying on her unique shapeshifting abilities to infiltrate security measures he couldn't bypass himself.
She never uses her shapeshifting to do this you dumb faggot

Congrats anon you understand the plot at the most basic value and accept everything at face value. The moment you think any of this shit through the narrative literally falls apart. Try again.
>>
>>11827309
You are arguing with ChatGPT.
>>
>>11827309
>he kills Zam in sight of the Jedi with a traceable dart
You're so close to understanding the plot of this movie for children, but not quite there
>>
>>11827310
Wow anon, great response. How does this change the fact that
1. Jango could have remained inconspicuous using the droid to deliever the venomous bugs
2. Zam used a droid that didn't blow up immediately upon failure to hide her tracks
3. Zam never uses her shape shifting to evade capture or help her assassination attempt
4. That Jango was dumb enough to hire someone that would immediately out him as soon as they were cornered.
5. That Jango literally fucking killed Zam in the line of sight of the Jedi
6. That he used as traceable weapon rather than an untraceable laser.
7. That he escaped using the most obvious form of transportation in the form of a fucking jetpack

Go ahead and claim that I'm just using AI but it doesn't change the fact these plot threads actively go against character motivations at their roots. It's bad writing and you are defending a badly written movie. You can like the stupid fucking action scene, that's fine, but it exists only because the plot is shit and can't write a truly logical or consistent way to have it come about.
>>
>>11827313
Are you seriously suggesting Jango was trying to get caught on purpose? I'm going to save you some embarrassment and let you say that wasn't what you meant.
>>
>>11827317
Not caught, but he was clearly trying to drop enough clues that the Jedi send someone to Kamino.
>>
>>11827321
No, anon. The narrative never even remotely suggests this. In fact the Jedi discoverimg Kamino was never the intention of Sidious and by extension Dooku or Jango. You actively need to disregard so many character actions to believe this. It really does amaze me how people that defend the prequels actively do not understand the plot of these movies while claiming others are the ones not "getting" them.

Got the castle for pre modern construct, Ship for age of sails, Car for modern, And millenium falcon for Future. Also rounded out with the flora of the bonzi tree and the fauna of the wolf. Got classic fantasy with the dragon, and weird fantasy with the bionicle.

Really am a fan of those 100-200 dollar sets, they are big enough to be impressive and detailed, but not a pain to display. Also ,just fun to build, neither boring or maddening.

I don't have a stick in this, but the prequels were always loved among children at the time of their release, it was mostly the OT oldfags disliking them.

What you're seeing now is those very same children being grown up now and voicing their love for the prequels on the internet.
FYI: I'm not saying they are 10/10 masterpieces, but they are vastly "over-hated" by a vocal minority.

It's okay for you to dislike them, but you must also understand that they have always been liked by a good amount of people.
>>
>>11827628
That’s just not true. You’re projecting your own personal childlike opinions as fact.

Episode 3 Hayden was the very role model of edgy teens, the prequels, especially episode 3 was vastly loved among children at the time. The entire internet culture of prequel quotes and memes didn't just appear out of thin air.

In my case growing up I now recolonize that out of the prequels it is in fact The Phantom Menace that is the best one out of the three. I can see the flaws, they are not 10/10 perfect movies, but they are still enjoyable movies regardless if you don't have internet opinions telling you otherwise.
Also rule of cool.

I'm 20 minutes in, I'm on the original unaltered trilogy side, I understand lucas wanted to improve his movies but the execution just wasn't there, still isn't because the excessive new cgi scenes are way too obvious especially when it's the much newer high-resolution version that you're watching.

Even as a kid I felt like Attack of the Clones had one of the saddest endings in the series. The finale is basically seeing this massive military presence suddenly appear as the old guard watch their future enslavers. It would have been a lot better if Lucas actually put like 100 guys in costumes and shot it from a wide lens from far away, but still, it got the point across. And no, I don't give a shit about 3D Clone Wars, or Rebels, or Filoni fanfic slop.

And with that said, I saw the OT as a kid first and years later the Prequels and I had no problem with them because I had already watched THX-1138 and knew that the prequels were more in line with THX than Star Wars.

the clone army represents immigration and institutions corrupted by communist agendas that indoctrinate the youth with woke ideals. it works because society always forgets the past and believe whatever the party says to. Mind-blowing, I genuinely thought I was basically alone/one of the extreme minority hating on the newer versions, maybe it is an extreme minority these days though, who knows.
The funniest thing is that my opinion is 100% unbiased because I was literally born in the year the special editions released so I never grew up with either, I watched and compared both versions and will always prefer the originals.

Also I think I better understand now why the OTfags hate the prequels now, and I never knew the jar jar hate was this big of a thing kek.
Thanks for posting this anon.

My mom and her cousin rented a VHS player and all three Star Wars in 89 and we watched them all together over the course of a night while I played with universal monster action figures and original luke and Han figures. I was four and it was very impactful. When they did the re release in 97 the year before they showed the originals in the theaters first so I got to see them in the theatre and then again the next year. My first to completion jerk off session was to carry fisher in the bikini.
About halfway through they talk about how excited everyone was and then how disappointed we all were. It was just sad. I didn’t even see the third one in the theatre I just downloaded a handycam version of it on kazaa.
It didn’t ruin part of my childhood but it was definitely the first time I was like “what the fuck is this shit?!”

Some of the OT changes are fine but a lot of it sucks. I think Spielberg tried the same shit by censoring E.T. also recently Michael Mann released a 4k color regrade of Thief with a bunch of scenes now being extremely blue to match his other modern films. It sucks.

>>11827903
Not my problem. I had Star Wars on VHS and as a teen I didn't think the prequels were better but as an adult I can see that Lucas wanted something deeper.

Updates on Star Wars January 2027 sets minifigures line-up (that we know of so far from MaxBautde):
>75464 – Anakin's Starfighter – $30 (Early Clone Wars Anakin & R2-D2)
>75470 – Mustafar Duel – $40 (Anakin, Obi Wan & Concept Art Han Solo with lightsaber) - it also includes printed tiles with "Star Wars" & "You were the chosen one", probably an Epic Moment style set diorama
>75476 – Endor Battle Pack – $30 (Stormtrooper, Scout Trooper & 2 Endor Rebels)
>75478 – Y-wing (OT, playscale) – $80 (Leia, X2 Pilots, Astromech)
>75480 – Bespin Duel (playset) – $80 (Luke, Darth Vader & Concept Art Darth Vader)

You do realize the children that die to guns are an extreme rarity too right? The fact that the number needs to be bolstered by gang related deaths which kill teenagers that actively engage in shoot outs should tell you how deceptive that number is. More kids are killed in car crashes but I don't see people clamoring to illegalize cars. Hell kids die from choking on lego too, why aren't we illegalizing lego?

According to Deadline, IF Universal doesn't put a Lego movie in pre-production in the next 6 months the movie rights will be put on sale AGAIN for other studios...

Place your bets, will Universal get a Lego novie out or rights will be on sale again, maybe WB gets them and they do The Lego Movie 3? Maybe there's enough nostalgia now to do another Emmet adventure.

Funnily enough the Depp movie was much more faithful to the book. Dahl hated the Wilder movie because of the changes and forbade any more movie adaptations of his works during his lifetime because of it. He didn't live to see the 06 movie, but his daughter said he would have liked it.
