op pic fromhttps://x.com/keitaamemiya01/status/2068270762646225314Anyone checked out the 30MF wyvern yet? Waiting for some bashes with Waruder suits. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5O92aIRCZPc
Imagine losing a piece.
>>11827204Unfortunately these wyverns just look shrimpy and worse, hardly modular.
Are Beast Boxes any good or are they cheap Chinese crap?
>>11828127Good source of robot animals but they tend to over-extend. Like the recent xenomorph 2.0 used clear plastics all over and led to parts breaking and cracking during normal transformation. You could check reviews but a lot of them are sponsored shills that don't tell you these issues. Also they do a lot of that exclusive/limited nonsense that only seem to benefit scalpers.
>>11828127Best thing about them is that they are MOSTLY fairly priced, since most of them are just made to be toys for kids, with pretty consistent re-issues, instead of stupid rare overpriced collectible shit for adults, like Diaclone. there's also a lot of them that are tripple-changers(if you count box mode) and there's also some that are combiners, but those are more uncommon. Alot of them can also do some fun alt modes that are not really intended, but still kinda fun. Definitely worth getting one or two if you see one that catches your eye. I'd just aviod the limited edition ones and the licensed IP ones, like the alien/predator/etc
>>11828127They generally got better and better, peaking with the owl mould which is just one of my favourite things ever made. Most pre-owl stuff is good, but particularly the beetle and stego/ankylo/kaiju moulds. The "celestial beasts" (dragon, qilin and dragon-turtle) are basically the only way to own something designed by Yuki Tsuboshima without taking out a mortgage. Most recent stuff has been disappointing but the ant felt like a standout, the giraffe was decent and the komodo was a few flaws away from being pretty great. Also, from a business perspective, the BeastBox guys at 52toys are either kinda assholes, morons or some mix of both.
I got yet another JoyToy Dark Source mech in the mail. That'll probably be enough but I quite enjoy putting them together. The little guys that come with them are quite fiddly though.
So we have Necrosknight, but is there word on when the 30MF skeletons are supposed to drop stateside? I'd rather avoid import fees if I can, so if I have to wait a few more months so be it.
https://x.com/Diaclone_log/status/2070416818108502442but it is white or that aggress versaulter brown?
I guess mugenbine is doing kinda well in nippon?https://x.com/hobby_magazine/status/2070481204965716088
>>11831010Aaaah shit. I might need to get this one. I've been skipping the other recent space sets because they were just a bit outside of the price range I have budgeted for stupid shit. But this one is probably going to be more affordable
>>11827204I think it's quite nice. I don't even know if I would use it as a rider for the 30mm fantasy dudes, but it makes for a good adversary for my other characters.
why are they all different shades why aaaaaaaaaaahttps://x.com/titeiran01/status/2070790885479154050#m
>>11832140>https://x.com/titeiran01/status/2070790885479154050#mBecause fuck you. buy it anyway.
New info on 52toys’ new “Iron Frame” series:https://hjweb.jp/article/2723693/#
>>11833863The execution seems similar to Beastdrive. Pre-assembled frames with model kit armor, includes stickers and water slide decals.Neat that the frame can be rearranged for different body types.
>>11833863Same designer as the AMTS mechshttps://x.com/LeungAndrew_/status/2070829812260978956Not sure if it means the AMTS line is on pause.
it's raining warthogs!https://www.bilibili.com/video/BV1ZfKD64EG8/
2 models, 3 each in a box so total 6.
>>11833863Presumably we’ll get the version on the far left, since the other two are a match for with the test shots. This is one of those series where I’m tempted to be an early adopter based on strong initial hype, but more curious to see the long term vision.
>>11829419Those remind me so much of Xevoz. What concerns me is the joint there under the spine. My Revo skeleton gets so loose there. Makes it near impossible to keep standing.
>>11835359So I actually was fortunate enough to find a set and get them built the other day. oints are pretty solid, and the skeletons themselves are sturdy and balanced enough to stand on their own. There is a little looseness in some spots making it easy for pivot joints to fall as you're adjusting, but nothing that makes them poor quality. Worst I've seen so far is the neck has a tendency to pop out if you move it too much.
>>11829419>>11835607I kinda hope the release these boner boys in silver, just for the terminator reference
behold: the bonercycle
aw yiss they actually went for super playability and perfect transformation seems like.fuck the obsession with proportions accuracy, this looks good
New Diaclone compatible brand. Some parts look like KOs https://tieba.baidu.com/p/10839644199
>>11837925interesting. The ornithopter looks like it might bullet core compatible. Not sure if the others are
>>11838282The seat/core seem to be a direct KO of that Diaclone workloader and the tarantula even has KOs of those rear legs with bullet-core joints.
>>11838582very cool. This series kind of reminds me of the Vecma Space 2039 sets, where some of the designs are 0.8 to 1 KOs, and then they also just have a fuck ton of original ideas on top of that. I kinda wonder if this new brand has any of the same designers
https://takaratomymall.jp/shop/g/g4904810056027/>actual marble firing unit that actually launches actual marbles is DLCFUCK
>>11840476oh. the set version of Saint Blaster comes with it too. But still.
https://www.amazon.co.jp/dp/B0H7GHZV2W/TR Choryujin set is up too. Feels so weird seeing a modern Choryujin without big "option" parts that's 80% of the modes.
https://www.amazon.co.jp/dp/B0H7GHFSMB/new wing-mounted armaments, comes with 2 dianauts
>>11840551I almost wish that “current Diaclone” was my cup of tea—because it actually does what it does perfectly—but I just feel they’re sorely missing in transformation features. I even passed on Cosmo Battles 2.0 because at the end of the day I didn’t like X-1 that much as a toy (also just can’t get on board with the drills)
52toys has some teasers for SDCC. I cannot fucking wait for RoboForce.
>>11842075Cubeauty isn’t really for me. Even if it doesn’t end up partsforming, it’s too shellformer-y to me. I hope 52toys makes a humanoid cube one day with a fluid transformation, perfect articulation, and no partsforming.
>>11842074>>11840551I think the <D> vehicle sub line is designed to appeal to army builders. They care less about the normal collectors who just want one set, because there are people with low impulse control who will buy 10 of these things, just to have an air fleet
>>11842075Absolutely amazing design, and a solid no-bullshit color scheme
>>11842498I’m not sure if it’s been confirmed, but I’m assuming the arms and legs are cross compatible between sets. Hopefully the various color schemes mesh well together.
>>11842593seems like they both use the same for factor. But the elephant bot is noticeably bigger
Dagwon DLChttps://x.com/tspark_official/status/2075490248591827225Hope it will be 5mm compatible so you can slap it on some cheap TFs
>>11842832
>>11842076It's just so weird that they got Tsuyoshi Nonaka for this when he's known for robots like Daizyujin and Dynazenon, the likes of >>11842075
>>11842621*form factor
>14k yen for all that plastic > he can even stand on his tiny feet with all that junk on his bodyThis thing is awesome, also a random van in front just for the lulz.>>11842074Yeah I didnt like X-1 much too. The thing felt really disjointed and I especially hated the gun being an over engineered mess that doesnt do much when it should have been a simple cockpit big gun like the ZZ gundam has.I think I even like the thing I posted more than it
Finally, a new Beast box releasehttps://weibo.com/5736342019/R8EYq7aW8
>>11845204 am seriosly tempted to get this nigga, because I love the space sets, and like you said its an amazing price/plastic ratio. But I just have a hard time committing, because the vehicle module is exactly the fucking same as the Hawk Orbithopter, except they made the proportions FUCK huge. It's just way too top heavy, and I have hot seen enough alt configurations to say it's worth the purchase
