Oh hey, been a while since we've had one of these!I kinda wonder if 1:18 would work for Legend of Zelda? Might be a bit tricky as Link is usually quite a small character so he'd be microscopic at 1:18 but it'd be neat for doing a dungeon diorama and lots of monsters.

I'm a poor fag, I hate it but its hard out here on a single income, and I await the day affordable options for this scale return. There's the really great sega figures from jazwares I think and the really impressive armorsaurs figures and after that the cost of entry behins at $30 for a modern newly released figure. Just a few years ago Hasbro was doing gi Joe for like $13 so it's not impossible and it's like I mentioned armorsaurs are around the same price. Idk, part of it is feeling gyped for a 4 inch figure at $30 and part of it is just a lack of excitement for collecting due in part for the dramatic price increases and store exclusives. Tldr Please someone offer up decent 1:18 scaled figures for like $20. Final faction was a short lived 5poa series for a $1.25. We are in an oil crisis which led to the implementation of the 3 3/4 figures and I'm just sad I'm being priced out of my hobbies. Oh yeah, give armorsaurs a try. Really nice generic pilot or foot solider fodder imo and the weapons I've tried all fit in their hands and with the play gimmick of adding bits to the ports on the bodies you can build up some wild stuff. Only issue is that there are a whooping five figures to choose from each on a different color with different bits but basically just recolors.

>>11832698That is the unfortunate thing; 1:18 isn't much cheaper to make compared to larger scales but buyers expect to pay much lower prices, hence why most companies don't consider it economically viable. A real shame honestly. Of course if everything was fairly priced and every company and their dog wasn't intent on squeezing as much profit as possible from toys then 1:18 and 1:12 would cost about the same (and both would cost considerably less than they do now) but that doesn't solve the core problem of customers expecting the smaller figure to be much cheaper to buy despite not being much cheaper to produce.

A few renders hint that the male nude buck will have the butterfly shoulders as well.

But this desert version with the treads just looks way better and I can just see it crawling its way over some desolate sand dunes. I do wish the cockpit area was better integrated into the vehicle itself instead of just being lumped on the side. I get it's supposed to be a modular piece and I have the small aircraft version already pre-ordered, but a massive ground transport like this would've been way cooler if it had some sort of elevated pilot cab like a piece of construction equipment or something. The fact that it's basically a giant, really nicely detailed box on treads that opens up is exactly the kind of toy armored vehicle I wanna see more of.

Speaking of the Vietnam waves I'm personally waiting for the pilots and the females. I cannot wait for that nurse just for the mid-century combat pants. For the time being I'm having a blast with the Drill Instructor. My only complaint is that his knife hand doesn't hinge the other way.
Anyone know if I can brush some Testors clear coat over the rank stickers without fucking it up? I want to add his chevrons but I also want to preserve them so I can still handle the figure without ruining or losing the stickers.
you guys have the right idea. Just going with one scale and sticking with it seems to be the best thing one could do in this hobby.

>>118448251:18 is definitelly my main scale, but it's hardly my only one.1:18 is generally good for dinosaurs, but for small ones 1:12 is usually better and for really big ones like Tyrannosaurus 1:35 is great for them not being shelfhogs. Kaiju basically all have to be 6-inch or 7 inch scale if you want good articulation and Anime figures basically only exist in 1/12 scale

I recently decided to order the Cyberzoic Dilophosaurus since the only original BoTM one I found on sale is 400 fucking dollars. So I must ask, is it possible to remove the "mane" without damaging anything?And also did any of you ever have to deal with tight as fuck leg joints?
>>11845404The dilo looks to be pretty similar to my BotM yutyrannis in size and build so the head ought to be attached by a barbell joint which you can just pop the head off and muscle it back on to remove the offending neck ruff. >tight leg joints Those are always a bitch, sometimes it takes warming the figure up, or applying silicone shock fluid, or a combination of both.
>>11844825I can't speak for everyone but it boils down to what I used to play with as a kid and the ability to play across multiple brands and franchises without mixing scales which I believe companies like McFarlane are fucking up by introducing random bullshit like 1/8 scale figures. IMO there are only 4 scales: Miniature, 1/18, 1/12, and 1/6. everything else can go to hell. IMO 1/12 is an overused scale and while the figures can be considered "better" than a typical 1/18 offering even if they're basically the same thing (think Black Series and modern TVC) I'd argue that they're at a disadvantage in terms of playsets, vehicles, and creatures. Toy people want to world build and a bigger scale requires a bigger world which I think defeats the purpose of playing in miniature but that's just my particular brand of autism. However I can't help but roll my eyes when 1/12 scale fags realize they're lucky to get literally anything other than a person. Sure, they have more 3rd party diorama options but look how many people 3D print scaled up vehicles just so thier GI Joes can do anything other than be on foot and what they'll be willing to pay. I also prefer the "finger food" fidget quality of a smaller figure. 1/12 is too bulky.

The Tyrannosaurs are Nanmu's best figures. I was very disappointed in the range of motion in the Indominus, but the Tyrannosaurs improved upon it massively.

I picked up the latest Hammond Collection wave today (well, except for the Mutodon and Indominus, because those both were sold out). The Hypsi is kind of surprising, because I expected it to mostly be a repaint of the Dryolophosaurus, but with a different head, but it had a whole different body from the Dryo. The Rebirth Dilo has a worse head sculpt than the first dilo, but it has better feet. I have never seen a single episode of Camp Cretaceous, so I have no idea how accurate the Scorpius is, but the fact that it has unpainted nails and that it has a head swivel instead of a standard neck joint sucks. I'm kinda shocked by how big it is. I didn't realize that Scorpius was this large. I know that Deloris is going to be 1:1 scale, but I don't remember seeing anything about Scorpius being 1:12 scale so I'm going to assume that it really is just that big in the show.I don't really care about Indominus, but I do hope I manage to find a few mutodons so I can use them as dragons/wyverns.>>11845837I like guns, girls, and dinosaurs, so that's what I collect.
