Welcome to the 1:18th general. All 1:18th scale lines are welcome including larger scales that may work with 1:18th. Post pics of your latest purchases, dios, customs and whatever else you feel like posting. We encourage mixing lines. Oh hey, been a while since we've had one of these!I kinda wonder if 1:18 would work for Legend of Zelda? Might be a bit tricky as Link is usually quite a small character so he'd be microscopic at 1:18 but it'd be neat for doing a dungeon diorama and lots of monsters.
1/18 my beloved

>>11830522>Marauder Gun RunnersIs that Rambo custom or a future release cause I can't find those parts on their store. I've been sitting on a refund credit from the failed KS waiting to see if they release some of the figures I intended to grab way back when and this guy was one of em.
>>11830870Future release
>>11830600There is a line called World of Nintendo that offers Link from Skyward Sword, Ocarina, and Breath of the Wild. They're not quite 1/18 but more like just short 5" figures but out of those the Skyward Sword one is the best but that's not saying much. I love 1/18 scale and came up in toy photography shooting Zelda pics but I looked and I do not have any surviving images of the World of Nintendo Link which says a lot. It's that bad. Accessories in scale is all its good for. Pic related. >>11830870If you backed the Kickstarter then you're part of their "A-Team" who gets first dibs on releases. Orders on this wave went up like last week. They also have figures that are for legal reasons not The Sniper, Gunny Hartman, John Wayne green beret, and Charlie Sheen from Platoon. I really look forward to not Nurse Coleen from China Beach and not Col Robin Olds.
>>11830905 You can pre-order him though.
I picked up this guy to go with Putin and Obama
>>11831261 But I have a problem. the older helmets have taken a lot of wear and have gotten some inside hazing.
>>11831264 That would have been fine but then one of the fuckers got caught by a wave and ended up somewhere in lake Huron.
>>11831266 Well BBTS is now running the Space Force line...
>>11831267 So you would think a new product. *might* have replacement parts. Not so according to customer service. But they suggested (I shit you not) 3rd party re-casters. So, Anybody know any? - or alternatives? NOT the Star wars helmets. they are a bit small.

>>11831269That's pretty fucking shitty of them. >>11830905Have they announced any kind of release pattern, or are they just offering whatever the fuck showed up from the factory?
>>11831486 I was kind of stunned.
>>11830600Damn imagine a king dodongo the size of those big mattel dinosaurs
>>11831179I m holding off on buying till I get colleen and my 2 NVA girls. THEN It's Rambo. the grenade launcher and the stuff they don't talk about hopefully appearing next year.
I'm a poor fag, I hate it but its hard out here on a single income, and I await the day affordable options for this scale return. There's the really great sega figures from jazwares I think and the really impressive armorsaurs figures and after that the cost of entry behins at $30 for a modern newly released figure. Just a few years ago Hasbro was doing gi Joe for like $13 so it's not impossible and it's like I mentioned armorsaurs are around the same price. Idk, part of it is feeling gyped for a 4 inch figure at $30 and part of it is just a lack of excitement for collecting due in part for the dramatic price increases and store exclusives. Tldr Please someone offer up decent 1:18 scaled figures for like $20. Final faction was a short lived 5poa series for a $1.25. We are in an oil crisis which led to the implementation of the 3 3/4 figures and I'm just sad I'm being priced out of my hobbies. Oh yeah, give armorsaurs a try. Really nice generic pilot or foot solider fodder imo and the weapons I've tried all fit in their hands and with the play gimmick of adding bits to the ports on the bodies you can build up some wild stuff. Only issue is that there are a whooping five figures to choose from each on a different color with different bits but basically just recolors.
>>11831259So I must be completely failing at the internet because I can't find him anywhere on the Marauders shop. I don't even see any kind of pre-order options on their store. >>11831179I haven't even gotten an email from them, is there a newsletter for em I can sign up for because I almost forgot I even had money waiting in my account on their store. >>11832417>Just a few years ago Hasbro was doing gi Joe for like $13A decade. It's been like a decade since G.I. Joes were $13 on the shelf.
Chupacabra paint final at Joe Fest. It's looking good
>>11832585 the fact that they are the same scale and I"ve already seen werewolves done with the German Sheps.. yes.
>>11832417Yeah it's kind of tough when the prices aren't scaled down with the figures. I get why, some stuff even becomes harder at small scale.

>>11832698That is the unfortunate thing; 1:18 isn't much cheaper to make compared to larger scales but buyers expect to pay much lower prices, hence why most companies don't consider it economically viable. A real shame honestly. Of course if everything was fairly priced and every company and their dog wasn't intent on squeezing as much profit as possible from toys then 1:18 and 1:12 would cost about the same (and both would cost considerably less than they do now) but that doesn't solve the core problem of customers expecting the smaller figure to be much cheaper to buy despite not being much cheaper to produce.
>>11832880this is a troll repeating a dumb liePic is Jazware's plans to make a 1:18 scale Call of Duty line, where a 1:18 two pack cost as much as a 1:12 figure. This never happened, due to Micosoft buying Activision and the license being dissolved. This is also probably why Jazwares released such a crummy 1:12 CoD figures, because they rushed it out before they lost the license.JAzwares was also going to make a $25 set that included small vehicle with the 1:18 figure. The only reason most 1:18 lines today are so expensive is because they're all niche collector lines and not made for mass market, like these were supposed to be.
>Subjectanon has arrivedSorry guys. Thread's over.
>>11833235>>11833237PGV girls are what got me back into 1:18 after Joes stopped putting out. It's a shame they don't put out more figures, though with how pricey they always were I can imagine how hard it is to get them produced.
Looks like Boss Fight is going to be doing some pirates and sci-fi stuff
>>11833881There's some others including a Minotaur but I'm too sleepy to post the rest sorry
>>11831264>>11832005>>11832802 so close - yet so far
>>11833312PGV is almost singlehandedly keeping me from falling off toys completely. They produce more and are easier to get than they have in the past but it still isn't ideal. Best places to get them for retail (still high) price is LTCave and even BBTS when they have them. Small Joes has a few. They've recently put out a new wave of school girls and they've improved their buck with butterfly shoulders, double elbows, bicep swivels, improved waist, hands on a swivel, and bigger pegs (pic related) They're also hinting at Samurai theme, scuba theme, the WWI Steampunk theme (Parallel War) and finally putting out astronauts. A few renders hint that the male nude buck will have the butterfly shoulders as well.
>>11834088>the WWI Steampunk theme (Parallel War)Hadn't seen anything on that in five years. I gave it up for dead, lol.
>>11834088 I remember the original pitch for the Space suited figures and the cost estimate of $35.Can. *sigh*
>>11834088Wasn't aware of the upgrades, may have to check out the new lines. >WWI Steampunk theme (Parallel War)Now i'm interested. I've always had a quasi dream to make a toyline of 1:18 Magi/steam punk WWI figures, essentially a less colorful, less magical Valkyria Chronicles kind of theme, with a heavy focus on tanks and armored vehicles. Basically the tanks and such would be somewhat modular sets with mix and match parts with full internal crew cabs for 2-5 figures, depending on the size class. Though larger mobile bases would also be available. It always bothered me how difficult it was to find well set up internal cabs for tanks and armored vehicles, even in the 1:18 scale. Most tanks just have an open hatch for a figure to stand in or something and that's it. So I'd love to make my own toyline where I could have as many tank crew style vehicles as I wanted to make!>>11834250Yea, that was the original lore as all these girls are explorers and settlers from a space station high above earth after an event left it uninhabitable. So they're the first few down to resettle the planet or something. And I also remember paying $35 each for my original trio....and thinking that was a lot of money for such small figures. ....I also also need to take new pics of my updated girls. I changed the main trio around with newer builds and they look much better. As much as I love the school girl look, those hard plastic skirts just kill any articulation below the waist and it's impossible to sit her in the tank with that thing on.
>>11834088Where they selling these now?
>>11834647Depends on what you're looking for. BBTS has two nudes available. Both are the new bodies except only one of them has the butterfly joint shoulders. Small Joes has the original bodies with shorts and boots. Only one is barelegged, the others have stockings. LT Cave has the new bodies dressed as school girls and some wearing shorts and others in stockings and sleeves. You can see what all's going on in a Facebook group called "Unofficial Planet Green Valley Fans Group"
never heard about DAKILA, but these guys look neat. https://gundamit.com/dakila-1-18-highway-to-chaos-hz02-reconnaissance_p10695.htmlhttps://gundamit.com/dakila-1-18-highway-to-chaos-hh01-teamleader_p9859.html
>>11832417The 3 Min Project kits from Sheik Mainland: Xenostrike, Xenodash, Fenrir, and now XenosentinelThey are model kits, but they are extremely poseable, and if you get a box set at online retailers for around $20, they include parts to 2 figures and 2 sets of weapons. On AliExpress there are some sellers that sell sets of individual figures for around $8
I want to make a 1:18 Spider-Man figure that's as articulated as >>11834088, but I don't want to use Micromen. Does that female figure have a male counterpart? I hate the MU figures because they're all shit. Best thing I could find was JoyToy's Gladiator buck, but that body's too thick.
>>11835421Toy Biz made a beautiful 1:18 Spiderman.>>11835392too cartoony. There was an Acid RAin version that looked nicer.
