It helps with moving arms across the chest even without using butterfly joints. Do you have a modern AY on hand? Put it in a completely neutral pose, raise one of the arms so it's in a "fist bump" pose, then rotate the bicep swivel and you'll see the arm start to go across the chest. And then you can even further if you use the butterflies built into the torso.
I've even seen SHF use this kind of angled bicep swivel on Golden Age Guts and Joseph Joestar.

So the actually legit Harley I posted up in the thread I noticed the joints aren't ratchets like what I'm used to on my other revoltechs. Did they change it for that release?

Revoltechs stopped using ratcheted Revolver Joints as their primary joints for about a decade. Vulcanlogs were like the last line that used them to the end. RevoGeo started with Revolver Joints but they weren't able to articulate all parts of the animals so they made new set of joints called Geo Joints. Amazing Yamaguchi while started with Revolver Joints quickly started using non ratcheted joints from his previous line RevolMini and then the new Geo joints.

I haven't kept up with the comics but I think he has lightsaber claws, if they wanted to add that. Besides that and an unmasked head, there's his cigar, maybe some booze, and honestly he's done so much shit in Japan you could justify giving him a katana.
He's also got his fair share of outfits if they wanted something for a 2.0.

Oh yeah the heated claws are totally something Kaiyodo would do. They clearly don't care how little a thing appears in a comic, people who cares about that aren't the target. Got the Amazing Veiny-Man. It really pisses me off how much they perfected the Spider-Man body compared to the 2.0 ANAD body. Now they HAVE TO DO A 3.0 SPIDEY and just keep the basic modeling data of the Symbiote suit.

I mean a lot of the issues of the 2.0 was already fixed by the Flashes like the overall proportions, neck and body articulation, etc. But black suit really made them better like the torso articulation, importantly the proportions, and most importantly the feet!!. They look normal!

I don't hate the veins but I think they veins on the white sections don't work.

They really should do a 3.0, make it the classic suit like the 1.0 and that could be the ultimate Spider-Man action figure everyone wants. The 3 sectioned abdomen might not work visually when the body isn't solid dark colour but I think you're not losing that much with the old ways.

You can by turning and letting the top of the shoulders go behind their back. But you're right people are too dumb.

You most likely will have to fiddle with the deformed PVC so those joint coverings could rotate smoothly so not sure the entry bar was lowered.

Same thoughts about the Scientific Railgun girls, all that parts separation, double ball pegs were unnecessary and it looked bad. New joints and extra molds for nothing.

They could certainly be sharper in the features, more severe, the eyes are definitely larger and softer than they should be, but I still think they are lovely looking figures. Kaiyodo always fall down in the face department, it's never right so I am impressed with how close they are considering that. They also look distinct from each other, which I am happy about. I never thought we'd ever get Claymore figures, so I am more than happy with how they are turning out. Maybe one day Inart or Nottaa will get into manga figures and deliver the dream.

The Tekkamen look more like they are PVC figures with geo joints like your regular human AYs and not all ABS like the Mazingers. They are men in alien armor so I guess they should be PVC. Not sure what happens to their bodies inside them but whatever. They were in super ROBOT wars but whatever. These guys are replacing the Monster Hunter slot I suppose, if you believe in such things.

Bought a brand new AY Ryu Hayabusa (Ninja Gaiden 3) recently. Upon unboxing, the scarf was already in 2 pieces.

Any advice on what glue or adhesive should I use that would not melt the plastic?

I use whatever superglue I see at stores. I don't think you need to worry that much. But I make sure to use gel type it's easier to handle.

Maybe take off the joint when you do it though, you don't want to accidentally glue a part of it.

If the piece still comes off after, try again but put multiple cuts into the section being fused. It helps strengthen the bond.

Of those I own, Bondrewd was pretty good.
The Holos, Shiroko and Laios were your usual figma.
Schwi was lacking in stuff for her naked, 1 accessory price (Could've included a cloth hoodie from picrel at least to justify it..)

How much are the sculptors to blame really? Besides "the sculpt" that is.

For example Yamaguchi Katsuhisa wasn't that loved back when Kaiyodo was hell bent on only using Revolver Joints. They made some changes here and there, wrist pegs, 4mm joints and such, but they weren't really universally user friendly. Granted some just hated his stylization which is valid. With Revol Mini he probably had full input into the joints design and I don't think people had issues with their poseability. AY started but the Revolver Joints again were the cause IMO for people's strife with the early ones. When Kaiyodo finally caved in after the first few Revo Geo failed and made new joints (which had some additions by Yamaguchi) we got action figures that are on-par or superior to the action figures of the day.

Just saying budget related problems are probably not the fault of the sculptor.
