Is buying the CoolProps Thomas even worth it? I'm kind of a die hard fan of Thomas & Friends. The teal edition that released this year is on doorzo for $6,500 and it's unironically one of the rarest pieces of Thomas & Friends merch that exists. The normal one without Annie and Clarabel costs $1,950 on doorzo. I'm thinking maybe I could by a bachmann ho scale teal and normal thomas model and buy the kato face pack to slap on the models and call it a day. But I don't know I've always wanted a replica of the TV series prop since I was a baby so I don't know. Iv'e always worried about making a 3d printed version because I live in a very hot climate and fdm can warp.

>>11845637In a similar boat to OP, except I don't care for the LBSC Thomas. I was considering buying the $2k regular Thomas a year or two ago, but never did. Someone had one new in box within my country and would have worked out about 10-20% cheaper than buying it brand spanking new from the website, but eeeeh didn't really want to dump that much into something which isn't 100% absolutely perfectly accurate. Like I'm not rich, but I have manchild disposable income on tier with furries, but I'm too much of a jew to really splurge on shit.I wanted to get into 3D printing myself so was considering making my own, as I've seen many people do, but again it probably won't be perfect either so I don't know.I'd really like if Bachmann would release dummy/roller/static versions of their N scale range, as they seem to be the most accurate "cheap" model one can buy. I found my childhood collection of ERTL toys, (which I strongly preferred over the Tomy Plarail range as a kid), as they were more accurate, but yeah the scales are all over the place, that's why I feel like Bachmann dummy locos for <$50 a piece would be the perfect model range for Thomas and co.
I give up on this. It's not worth it anymore.
