What does /toy/ think about soft-goods?
The pricier figures and third party ones seem to favour it.
>>
Case by case basis.
>>
>>11847002
This.
It depends on scale, manufacturer and the character design. Soft goods are always bad as tight full body suits like with capeshits. A mixed-media is best. Plastic coats, long skirts always ruin articulation. Western owned companies always make terrible soft goods that look total ass.

I like them. Vinyl/plastic coats, skirts, etc restrict a figure's posability. I still remember the POTF2 figures where you had to take the capes off to seat a figure in a vehicle.
>>
>>11847001
I dont really like it unless its covered, those parts tend to discolor quickly over time

it only looks good at 1/6 scale, because any smaller scale, you cant capture the details of the clothing and the thickness of the clothing becomes weird
>>
>>11847002
>>11847005
Agreed. Some of it works well (adding a cloth good cape), some of it is excessive.
That sweater >>11847001 it has on feels like something most actual humans would never wear
Don't know about the pants or the guy on the left, but the red on the guy on the right looks like an additive: >>11847007
>>
>>11847092
Agreed. On 1/12, soft goods capes and robes generally look fine, but frumpy shirts/pants look terrible.
>>
>>11847001
Soft goods should be used more frequently in first party action figures. Mainly female characters, as they usually give them plastics skirts that limit articulation.

SHOW HER TITS!
>>
>>11847327
you do know this is the interwebz and there's plenty of porn on there?
of real live people?
not just plastic dollies?
>>
>>11847001
I like them, one downside is pants. Some poses the figure can do but the pants feel like you're going to stretch or break the seam on them.
>>11847440
Desire is about specific tits, not tits in general

soon after her father's presidential term ended, Ashley lost importance, and her skills and knowledge can't land her a job

so she turned to the one thing she knows, giving men overtime

those are some soft goods if you know what I mean

thats another president, after Ashley's dad

RE4 is 2004, RE6 is 2012
>>
>>11847002
Heavily this. I like the soft goods on the wrestlers between Elite and Superstars lines to give alternate looks, but something like OP just feels off to me.
>>
>>11849685
We see her dad in one of the canon CGI movies and he's a different guy from the RE6 president.
>>
So I just picked up the Patriot Studios classic RE2 Leon, and he's great. Grabbed him cause his outfit didn't look bad on him since it wasn't floating like some soft goods do. Outside of some minor gripes the only thing that really bugs me are his feet. The boots are a real soft rubber that go over his feet and it hinders articulation. I feel like there had to be a better way of doing this. Anyone know if there's a mod or something to give him more normal functioning feet without the boots being an overlay?
>>
>>11847001
This figure seems like an odd one to have soft goods clothes but *not* rooted hair
>>
>>11847001
Look up her skirt.
>>
>>11852209
It pains me I missed the GM Toys Reaper / Hunk
>>
>>11847001
For me it depends on the quality of the soft goods. Worst ones are when they are fully white. I hate it when they turn yellow.

I slapped a kitbash together with a Sanke eyes and a 3d printed head since I like HUNK but not enough to spend that much on him.
>>
>>11852217
Can you do that in game? I just got her and we are solid snaking our way thought the cemetery.
Overall I'd say RE4 is just as good as the other REmakes. The merchant missions are kinda fun, gives you more reason to explore instead of just blasting through everything.
>>
>>11852607
Worked out great, nice job
>>
I always found the soft goods on this guy to be especially egregious
>>
>>11847001
Cloth is only goods when theyre accessories. Capes in particular. I'd rather the rest of their clothes be part of the sculpt
>>
>>11852758
I can't remember if you can or not in the remake, but in the original you could leave her up on a ledge and look up under her skirt. She had lace panties on but it'd be hard to see cause in a fourth wall type of break she'd know you the player were looking even if Leon's eyes weren't. She'd yell out Oh you pervert, pretty funny.
>>
>>11847005
>Western owned companies always make terrible soft goods that look total ass.

The 4H have a specialized customizer who does all their soft goods for them and ever since they hired him their soft goods have been amazing. While most of em are just simple tunics and capes, they'd done some more intricate robes and such that just look fantastic.

Really depends on how much effort a company puts in, as most larger main stream companies don't even try.

A necessity depending on the outfit design. Zelda got coned not once but fucking twice.
