This could be interesting, especially for stuff that sells out quickly.

Cool, still cheaper to buy from elsewhere.

With shipping as fucked as it is… it’s really not.
>>
>>11849152
Dude, even with the pol it's not like you're saving THAT much if anything at all. Go check some of your invoices, after tax and the shipping fee it's not a great deal. Convenient? Yes, obviously but it's not the deal that $4 shipping per item looks likes at face value.
I'm not arguing with you, I prefer bbts but as I'm winding down collecting toys and moving back into enjoying them and buying less their pol really has no impact on me anymore. Plus let's be real, bbts does charge more on average than other storefronts.

Wrong

I dont know about you anon but my chunky little preorders make it in on time and have a package coming in every week with no tariffs needed and a cheapy cheap 10 dollar flat rate shipping all the way over yonder from the orient. :)

Are you guys lying or just don't buy toys? I'm in US and still have been importing and everything I've bought has still been at least a few dollars cheaper than BBTS every time, especially if you combine more items. Only some recent figma, BBTS has decent prices on that will probably be cheaper from them than importing. But remember you will also get them a few months later so that is another advantage of importing.

Domestic brands as well, BBTS is always a couple bucks more and it's better to just buy from amazon. In all my years of collecting I've literally only used BBTS like once or twice because I have always found things cheaper elsewhere.
>>
BBTS shipping is more reliable than Chinese. Takes longer to get here and tracking sucks.

Americuck postal workers are brain dead and can't be trusted

bbts uses fedex

>>11849303
I use it too for international orders because sometimes its cheaper shipping high value orders that take up less space in the box

>Everybody hates Chinese until they want to buy their high quality figures that mog local companies

>Domestic brands as well, BBTS is always a couple bucks more

Well that's a lie. Most domestic stuff are the same price as any other place, including Amazon. Marvel Legends, Transformers, Jada, MotU, NECA petty much all the main domestic brands are all the same price across different sites. Yea, BBTS ups the prices on imports, but for the most part it's pretty much what you'd pay to ship them anyway, especially now when UPS will literally demand a check at your door if you want your package. But even if a Domestic figure costs $1 more on BBTS, I'd much rather pay that then risk Amazon just slapping a label on the figure itself and leaving it in a puddle at the bottom of my stairs.

Now I will agree BBTS is usually the slowest to get their stock in hand...but I don't really care about "getting it now" and I usually wait until my PoL items are about to expire to ship stuff anyway. I got two massive boxes of toys the other day for a grand total of $6 shipping. Compared to the last thing I got from HLJ, which was a box a third of the size with two items that cost me $40 in initial shipping, another $15 for "duties and fees" and another $30 to get it delivered once it landed in the country.

I'm done with Importing at this point and I'd much rather pay the BBTS Mark Up for any JP items I actually do buy these days.

Also, the wait list is a nice addition, I've already used it for a figure that's about to come out that I neglected to pre-order.
>>
A new scam from the scam site.
>>
>>11849106
this will be both a good and bad thing
theres a few figures I've bought off BBTS I was only able to snag because I would check at random hours in the hopes one was available after someone cancelled one
waitlist will be automatic which is nice, but chances are you won't be the first one on the list either
>>
>>11849106
they have this on stuff like Violent Ken. does that mean they have reason to believe they’ll receive more?
>>
>>11849705
It just means they can withold stock until its value appreciates, then up the cost and autobill you. Gottem.
>>
>>11849206
Some of you are just impatient fucktards who can't wait to get a piece of plastic to jizz on or over, Jesus H. Christ.

BBTS isn't ever going to send you a swapped figure, or engage in "variable pricing" or allow scammy scalpers to sell overpriced marked up RossCon and similar shit they are trying to gouge you with while they ship it.

If BBTS still has some old shit for sale, you are getting it at that old price.
>>
>>11849812
>If BBTS still has some old shit for sale, you are getting it at that old price.
wrong, they have upped prices on older toys
>>
>>11849705
no, they put it on every item across their store from what I can tell, it just means if someone had it in their pile of loot and decided to cancel it will go to you instead of being relisted for sale
>>
>>11849705
Jada's notorious for reprinting stuff, so it's not that surprising.
>>
>>11849928
There are plenty of items that don't have the option. The majority of them are older releases which I would never expect them to restock, but there are a few more recent things that have sold out that don't have a waitlist. And then there are figures from years ago that do have the waitlist option that I would honestly be surprised if they do manage to fulfil.
>>
>>11849499
Yeah, I mean I'd rather pay a bit more to buy imports from bbts than having to worry about actually importing a figure. At least with bbts I know I'm much less likely to have something damaged or lost and it's nice to know if I had any issues I could easily contact and communicate with an American.
I guess the idea of the wait list is nice, I haven't had a need for it yet but it sure gets me having to camp out and refresh the page every few hours hoping someone cancels a pre order. But I've seen the wait-list option on figures from a few years ago that I doubt will ever get a re issue.
>>
>>11849813
Nope.
Just shit they stuck on that wait list.
Everything on my wait list that was old, even the sale price stuff still showing the same discount from Black Friday last year, is still at the same old LOW price. Amazon just increased a MOTU that was $11.99 yesterday to $15.99. Walmart just increased those Savage Lands Professor X they weren't giving away at $9.99 to $13.99.
>>
lol everything on the wait list is 8 to 10 bucks more than the regular stock(substandard) plus higher shipping. Its a ripoff.
>>
>>11850641
okay schizo
>>
>>11850641
Everything I put on my waitlist is the same price as it was. The stuff that has already come in went straight to my pile of loot and I can ship it with the rest of my shit for the same rate as usual. Do you need to stretch open your sphincter like goatse when talking out your ass like that?
>>
>>11850641
Regular stock is not substandard. That's damaged stuff. They recently did some stupid shit where they redefined their "standard" stuff to "BBTS Mint." The bigger stuff that is the top option is for the in-box autists because they charge more to set specifically higher-grade boxes aside and individually package them, so they charge a few dollars more essentially for the extra packaging materials.

But again, only an in-box autist would ever choose that. If you're just going to open it anyway, you'd be stupid to pay more.
>>
>>11849106
This will be horrible, as now instead of randomly stumbling upon a restock and getting lucky you'll have to sit in a waitlist that's thousands long and commit to buy that figure for whatever obscene price they put it back up at.
