Do Americans have these fucking things? They're called Ooshies, they're small rubbery pencil topper type things. They started off being given away at Woolworths then they started showing up at regular retail. There is no game or action features, nothing but just these... things.
Woolworths only carries the ones based on Disney owned properties, but they make characters from other companies for retail lines. I don't hate them, but I do think they're kinda pointless and a waste, I also think kids don't give a shit about them at all because a couple weeks after the initial craze they started clogging up toy sections at thrift store.

I've never seen them but admittedly I haven't been looking (my eyes glaze over when I see D*sney products)

We did for a time but they didnt really last. Last I saw them they were DC ones at the dollar tree. In general the entire spectrum of faux funko pop coat tail riders makes my eyes glaze over.

Mine too, unfortunately here in Aus this kinda crap is the Numero Uno type of shit they sell in the toy aisle. Just low-quality disposable shit.

Oh sure, I have the Lizard one for my collection.

Yeah, I've got a goddamn a few. We found them on clearance and bought handfuls at a time. My stuff is more DC focused though.

Blindbags have been such a pox on toy aisles. It's not like there hasnf been a history of these squat licensed kiddie figures, but before blindbags they used to get alot more effort put into them. Not even just the licensed stuff but original fare too. Nowadays its nothing but this low rent crap.

I think the last blind bag figure I truly enjoyed, not blokees since those are models, would be imaginext or Playmobil. But what is driving me to irration would be the mini blind bags, it's a tiny toy for a premium price and it's just so baffling that kids eat it up.
What line are these from? I'm re reading my X-Men crossover collection and these would be great to mess with while I read.

We got a lot for a little while , now if it’s not that foam rubber shit or the same types of sports figures that they sell every year we won’t see it

none of these are good but pockylips is unforgivable

The worst part is the sculpts are actually really good on some of them. If they'd make them out of hard plastic and form some kind of game around them like Crazy Bones, then they'd be okay, instead they're made of out this soft rubber that will just rot away.

They're good for the intended audience of like 3 year olds, plus they make for nice desk toys. I got the Nexu from the Star Wars line and I love that little bastard.

Super Hero Squad. I'm right there with you on Imaginext. It saddens me to see how badly Mattel's let the entire brand just sort of slide into obscurity. I rarely even see the DC stuff now, it's largely just Jurassic World nowadays. I also still consider Playmobil the most heinously underrated toyline of the last few decades. Just a shame how things work out sometimes.
>>11850010
That's not the issue at all. The actual problem is how low effort the dogshit made for "them" is. That's why they dont care about toys anymore. Everything is some flavor of funko pop or lego.
>>11850087
Agreed. Nobody gets Apocalypse's face right anymore. It's been a major problem since the mid 2000's.

I hadnt even considered this but you're right on the money. The same will be true of that marvel line rotting in ollies right now. I dont get why they dont settle for a sturdier keshi rubber .

well thats just american society isnt it , low effort dogshit for lazy fat fucks that just want to check in those easy deals and work a 9-5 without doing anything

I'm setting the bar literally where it's designed to be for these toys. They're designed for pre-schoolers, so they have rounded friendly designs and they are durable. The fact that it lends them a sort-of chibi desk toy appeal that adults can enjoy is just a bonus. The best part is they aren't cheap disposable shit made out of soft rubber or brittle plastic.
