Got myself a little bottle of Vallejo Imperial Gold, and it seems to be appropriate for the kit. We've already got some nice asymmetry here, and extremely pre-FAG articulation- with only a 90 degree bend allowed by the design of the legs.

Shoulder ball joints can typically be swapped between most girls too. Limb sizes, however, can be off on occasion depending on who and what you're swapping with. You have to be careful as the joints are on the tight side and once you have the clothes on you can't really see the joints so you have to feel them when moving them. Though one of the feet joints is loose and making the blue one hard to stand. The clothes are good, though Talking to doll at JP, they would wash new doll clothes because often the dye isn't dried and will stain the body. I did the same here you can definitely see the dye in the water. But problem is some of the material on the clothes can't be treated with warm/hot water as they are glued on. The green arm band's glue came loose along with the markings on vest chan's scarf and the knee pad on Blue. They would fit the 1/12 1/10 figure line just fine. Though at this scale you probably spend more time adjusting the clothes. 1/12~10 scale is really awkward when dealing with clothes

It does, however, also showcase that Azone's Picco Neemo Medium body (center) is pretty small, which makes it look weird since it's got a pretty big rack for something that's roughly child-sized compared to the other two. I guess the proportions are exaggerated so that the figure is easier to see under bulky clothing? I dunno.The 86toys body is a bit hit and miss compared to Cyclone Hopper. The torso is malleable plastic/rubber over a rigid skeleton, so there's a bit of ab crunch in play but not that much. The limbs are a bit worse, in particular the knees don't blend that well when you bend them. The hands and feet are a bit hard to swap, and I'm scared that I'm going to accidentally snap one of the pegs by being too forceful. Still, for a generic Chinese 1/12 naked body, it's more than acceptable. And the best news is, its skin color matches Dawn's face plate, or at the least is close enough that any difference isn't obvious, which is a victory in my book.

Very new to the hobby as a whole, wanted to know if there's any particular tips I should to know regarding nub removal specifically for mecha musume, assuming the tutorials I find online somehow don't apply to these. Nubs on arms and legs feel impossible to get right and I'm always left with pic-related (two-cut method with normal + single-blade nippers). I've tried using a glass file in the past which resulted in only slightly-better results, but the very shiny-smooth patch it leaves irks me.Is this going to be a case of learning through trial and error? Or am I just going to have to live with what I can sand/cut off? Just put the last touches on my Durga II Noire - unlike my original Durga II from way back when, I actually bothered to put those damn waterslide decals on her (which I hate and almost always avoid using. Also, I obliterated the decal that goes on her left tit, and had to scrap the one on her right so she wouldn't look uneven). It wasn't until I built Noire that I realized I never put the big armor bits on my original Durga II - I think I still have her sprues in her box, so I'll try to dig that out of storage and see if they're still in there after all these years...Gave Noire a different hairstyle from the regular version (the Durga I hair parts, while OG Durga II had the ponytail) to further differentiate her from the original one. While this is the second Durga I've built so far, I actually have four more that have been in my backlog for a while - Red Queen Durga, Save The Queen Durga, Cat Armor Durga, and Gold Ritter; Noire just kinda ended up cutting the line in my backlog...

Also late review, but i think this was a really poorly designed figure, am i the only one who thinks so? The playability/posability is pretty poor. The bow feels like a complete after thought, its way too big, has a very limited ways to hold it because of the massive wings, and by hold it i mean it actually can't hold it because it wasn't designed for the hands that come with it. Theres barely any grip at all. Same for the arrow, you'd have to double side sticky tape it to her hand. I don't know what they were thinking, its a pretty bad experience. The rest of the figure is okay.
