Maybe this is cope for having the inferior fisher price castle, but this was MY playset growing up. I just didn't know about the better one back then and this was good enough. It won't undo any memories or adventures me and my cousin had playing with it.

>>11852436Great point! It's also strange that they've never capitalized on dinomania within Batman media. Kenner had the perfect opportunity back in the day with Jurassic Park but nothing came of it. Spinmasters had a second shot over the last few years and didnt shoot their shot either. We've gotten all these crazy bat-gimmick toylines (ninjas, giant robots, artic warfare, etc) but none dino-themed. The most we saw was the one robot t-rex from the batman unlimited line.

>>11852139Extremely based. My Korean War Army Vet Grandpa bought me this playset with a bunch of army men. I loved playing with army men and would later go to join up because of him. This set came with a fuck ton of green and tan guys and a lot of vehicles. It was TimMee brand. Gramps also got the c-130, a couple of the big helicopters, and a couple of the big tanks for me. Unfortunately he passed a few years before I joined up with the Army. Wish I could have talked to him after graduating basic.
Doubled as a Sub and playset. Was super kino.

EVERY kid I knew (but me) in the 80’s and early 90’s had that Ghostbusters fire house.Also the 1989 TMNT Sewer playset.

Spotted pic related at a local mall the other day and it left me awestruck. The product images do this thing no justice. It's pricey for what it is, especially since it's chinese made, but they're massive IRL. It easily scales with 3.75, 4 inch, and even 5 inch figures. How something like this didnt come into being sooner is sort of baffling. The closest peer it has is the ancient MEGO POTA playset.

>>11864133For the most part none of the capeshit we got in the 2010's appealled to me much outside of the X-men movies. Having said that I still look back on Mattel's Justice League and BvS lines with some sadness. Not because they were bad toys, but because they were amazing toys in the service of some pretty mediocre films. Even the Aquaman line was punching above it's weight. That's something the bulk of the post-avengers marvel toylines could never say. Mattel seems to always have this rotten luck when it comes to licensed toylines now. You'll see them put all this heart and effort into a line and the movie will be some noxious stinker like Lightyear. Pic related.
