So what's the verdict on these? Boss Fight Studio or McFarlane?
>>11858217seems obvious to me. boss fight. never start buying mcfarlanes. you'll start settling for less and less and now even pay more and more.
>>11858217You're gonna get more bang for your buck with Mignola style from Boss Fight.
>>11858217the boss fight looks very close to the art but their track record is not good, I've really never seen anyone say anything positive about their figuresI have it preordered but I expect the 1000toys one is still the way to go
>>11858335Yep, my worry is their joint tolerances when even in that review the right arm joint is already getting loose from swapping it out to put on the trenchcoat. Really wish they'd get their QC together because their figures look amazing.
>>118582171000toys
>>11858423Nothing against it, but I left it out because it's already come and gone for a while.
>>11858431I prefer the ones that look like Ron Perlman.
>>11858431I saw someone with really bad laint applications on the chest hair and flaking on the rubber tail on the mcfarlane..i dont knoe how common it is but I don't like how it looks compared to boss fight.
I preordered this guy because I love Masters of the Universe Origins/Vintage styled toys. But I still have a few of my old comic Mezco Hellboy toys which I love.
>>11858503>Masters of the Universe Origins/Vintage styled toysI was tempted for that exact reason.
>>11858217I wish either one came with a left big arm just for fun
>>11858217Seems pretty open and shut that it's Boss Fight:-More accurate sculpt.-Matt (non-shiny) plastic.-Less awkward looking chest joint.-Obviously ignoring the shadow paint job because this is the only comparison photo we have but the normal version doesn't have it (and you get this exclusive for the people that do prefer it).-MF has MF joints, while I think so far the two early reviews I've seen say the Boss Fight joints moves quite well.Like with a lot of figures, it'll just come down to do you want the low cost version or will you spend more for the more accurate looking one.
>>11858752Yeah I couldn't find a comparison with the normal version since no one seems to have both so far, but this is a pretty fair assessment.
>>11858355I was hoping when that GI Joe guy left to work for them things would improve, but hes probably just doing sculpting or something.
>>11858431I usually don't like the cel shaded type of look but it works here in this photo. I had to zoom on to make sure it wasn't a collage.
>>11859645I think its the best cel shading I've ever seen on a figure. It probably helps that the art itself is colored so simply, its easier to emulate than most comic figures that attempt it.
>>11858752The Boss Fight ones look like the old Mezco line which was the GOAT even with limited articulation.
>>11858217Cel-shaded or not, the Boss Fight just looks dead-on accurate but the McFarlane has its own appeal looking like a generic version sort of like the ML equivalent with the cheaper price and stone texture on the skin.
>>11858503Really curious if the Add-on set for the bigger BFS figure which has a jacket, alt hands, and alt heads can also fit the Immortal Champions version
>>11858431>>11858423>>11858217is he really that good? i was thinking about buying it even with the aftermarket and i was wondering if its like a must have
I NEED a Hellboy: Asylum Seeker on the PSX styled figure
>>11863213honestly, yeah, other than the ankle joints being red instead of brown I don’t feel like it has any flaws, I’m not sure what it goes for now but I don’t regret paying retail for it
>>11863311170eurbasically 1.5x the og price
God I hope they do a Johann
