I've always wondered why despite Evangelion getting a lot of merch and being popular series there isn't really a consistent Evangelion General.Is it because there's too much crossover with other threads to the point that a dedicated thread feels redundant? is it because there's no anon that's dedicated enough to keep making a new thread every time? is it that Evangelion is inherently limited? the generals I'm familiar with (MOTU, Marvel, Transformers) Not only have dozens or hundreds of characters but also different generations or alternate takes.Anyway, to not make this thread just a meta discussion, seems the Robo-Duo TV Eva 02 got an updated and painted prototype recently, for a moment I was worried it wouldn't happen at all, so a good sign for sure.

We'll probably see some more with the upcoming series Yoko Taro is directing.The other thing is Eva figures are split across action figures, plamo and statues and it makes more sense for those to be discussed in threads dedicated to those where there are people who specialize in collecting those types of toys rather than an Eva general where you'd discuss different types of products.

Anyone bought the painted bootleg of this garage kit and can speak to the quality? I never buy expensive statues but this hits all my weak points, and of course it's some limited wonfes bullshit. Not sure why Kaworu always gets the shit end of the merch stick when he's super popular in certain areas of the fandom.
I still have all my Eva figures packed away since me move years back. Plus all the figures I've gotten since go right in a box.I painted a bookcase for them, but need to move stuff and redo this room.

We've never gotten modern figures for the TV EVAs so this is pretty awesome. Wish more companies gave us the TV designs.

>>11876152I had ThreeZero's unit 02, it felt sort of rigid with the articulation but at least there were next to no imperfections and qc on the joints seemed pretty damn solid. Someone needs to upscale a robot damashii into 10-12inch, the Dynaction 01 felt hollow and I had scratches on the arms that annoyed the fuck out of me considering the price. I sold it because I didn't think the joints would hold long term. As a former scale fag, Dynaction is close for a 1/144 collection but fuck it takes a lot of space and kinda steals the spot light from everything else.
