I forgot to write the title sorry brosThere hasnt been a thread in over a month so I figured id make oneI got these johto figures recently and I thought they looked really good together, its my favorite generation (ignore goku)
>>11862069There isn't a lot to really collect from Pokemon. Gotta keep the collection old-school.
>>11862069Garchomp single finally in stores. Only thing missing is Epic Tyrantrum, but no word/hint on a rerelease yet
>>11862069All I want is a single generation (doesn’t have to be gen 1 but likely would be) that’s both relative scale and non-static. I would want it to have some humans (also at relative scale) and prominent locations. Imagine a series of sets that recreate the game. To use gen 1 as an example, the first set could be Pallet Town: it would have all the buildings; an action figure of Red / the player; relative scale of the starters bulbasaur, charmander, and squirtle; and the first patches of Route 1, which would include pidgey and rattata. The other sets would be the towns, major locations, and connecting routes, with all the pokemon found therein.
>>11862156>All I want isThen you go on to describe what would be the most extensive toy line in the history of toys. You want articulated figures of 150+ Pokemon in scale with eachother, plus trainers, plus buildings, plus the literal routes????
>>11862175Yeah, but once I had all that I wouldn’t ask for anything else.
>>11862185Yes but "all that" has never been done for any toyline in history. It's completely unrealistic.
>>11862175I had the impression blokees wanted to do that since every kantomon since wave 2 had a special card with an unique "151" logo
>>11862156the line would be killed by shit like Oddish. nobody is buying that loser
>>11862198anon said he wanted all 151 plus trainers plus buildings plus the actual terrain of the routes. blokees was never gonna do all that.
>>11862156Not only would this never happen, even if it did, you and the rest of us probably wouldn't have the space for it unless the scale was even smaller than scale world. It's a fun idea, though. Could be neat to have AR dioramas that you could see through a headset that scale with your figures. I remember seeing one of them advertised doing something like that with minecraft years back.
>>11862104I saw this at my local target the other day and kinda wanted him but passed
>>11862156>That will be $999.99 per town, sir>2999.99 for Saffron
>>11862273Fuck you, man, Oddish is based.
Have we got any good quality figs for Snorunt / evo's, and Honedge / Evo's?
>>11862422There was an ep where an Oddish painted itself pink and wanted to fly with its Hoppip friends. That ep was really memorable for me for some reason.
>>11862156This. Although having buildings and routes is overkill. Maybe a Pokemon center playset, but that would be it. I would love for 150+ to have articulated figures. Just give the license to Blokees.>>11862175Obviously some Pokemon cant articulate like Voltorb or Magneton, but for the main hitters like starters, they should at the very least have basic articulation. >plus buildings, plus the literal routesYeah thats too much>>11862273Obviously no, but for Pokemon as small and simple as Oddish, they would act more as accessories rather than standalone figures.e.g. A Vileplume pack with and Oddish that can move its little legs and a Gloom. throw in an accessory like vine whip for Vileplum and boom! Or a forest pack for forest Pokemon. So two Oddish, two Belsprouts and then add a bigger figure like Tropius. It is possible, but Jazwares and Tomy are stupid for some reason. Blokees has a chance.
>>11862156I just want Tomy to reprint older gens more often and not just starters/eeveelutions/legendaries
Saw this at Target while looking for SS86 Starscream (which they didn't have). I was tempted to buy a Garchomp, but I just don't have room for it...
>>11862915Lol. My Target will never be stocked like this. Last time I went there was just a wall of dozens of Gallades.
>>11862932i don't know what possessed them to release Gallade and Scizor along with Charizard Y for the special aisle release. They should have bumped up the re-release of Mewtwo and the new Blastoise. It also doesn't help that I think stores underbought Charizard Y/scalpers thought it was a hot item to flip because muh charizard so they sold out quickly and Target got another 2-3 waves of them in.
>>11862601that packaging has so much soul
It's been ages since I tried getting a western pokemon release. How easy is it to get ahold of Deoxys, Cinderace, tox, and zera? Those poseable ones
>>11863132cinderace, tox and zera are pretty bad and not very posable. cinderace is the worst and its legs barely move which makes no sense. deoxys is a great figure though. they are all available on ebay for under $25 each since deoxys is relatively recent and the other three are not very desired.
I remember when pokeymans was still new, I resisted buying the figurines, knowing that I could never afford 151 of _anything_even if each one was a buck, that felt completely insane and unfeasible to me. and what happens if I get, say, 142 of them and can't get the rest? It would drive me insane. My stepbrothers had a lot of the figurines though. Naw i'm content to have like, 9-10 plushes. Which is not to say I wouldn't welcome a few more.
>>11862069Does anybody who went to comic con ever notice that one store selling Hasbro Makuhita for $10?
>>11863318Funny. That's how much the moncolles were when I was living abroad so I went as crazy as I could, but even then I was concerned about scale. Especially since bigger toys existed too
>>11863328Man I miss all my old digimon and pokemon figures....
>>11862413Why? I'm replacing my plamo for it.
Make way for the definitive Lucario figure!
>>11863830Joking aside, the Gengar of this line at least looks passable. Might've even gotten Lapras were it bigger.
>>11863832that looks like shit. Why that Gengar over many others that are bigger or have articulations?
>>11863830
>>11863830>Giant screw holes No
>>11864153They're just kinky like that
>>11863830It's always funny when they have art on the front of the box cause very rarely does it make the figure look better. He's missing the yellow fur spikes at the bottom. The blokees is the current best one.
Tell me when there's a new Koffing figure.
>>11862069Are there any real cheap figures or sets or anything that have pokeballs that'd work with 1/12 scale figures?
>>11864199Wait for those lego minifig pokeballs to show up in cheap sets or someone to bootleg them.
>>11864238not looking forward to the holes on the bottom. nta but i want full balls like what Figma Red had, which probably exist right now
>here’s your affordable lego set bro
>>11864238Oh this would probably be perfect. I assume these lil sets are inexpensive? I don't mind holes in the bottom like that other Anon since I'd just be able to fill it with glue or something.
>>11862094>1/20 scalewhy the FUCK are all the trainer statues 1/8 or 1/20 holy shit
>>11864413they're cashing in on disposable income of Fail World collectors
>>11864421it's not fair I want to goon to breast transplant Jameshow do I tell these niggas to make a 1/12 version
>>118644311/10 wouldve been a compromise. i dont even think aliexpress has those anymore
>>11862156Pokemon completionist autism + toy collector autism is truly a horrible combination. There is no logistical way to be satisfied beyond getting really into 3D printing.
>>11864413because 1/12 scale sucks
>>11864391That's part of a larger, giant pokeball set, which is a couple of hundred bucks.Because lego pokemon isn't for kids.
>>11864391Those ones only come with a really big set for now. There's unlicensed stuff that's basically the same on aliexpress that you can get now.
>>11864671Hell why not, I'll grab one of these. Price was 6 bucks total so if it turns out to be a turd, I didn't spend much.
>>11864457How could 1/12 scale pokemon suck if it has never existed lol
>>11863832>>11863873I have not seen a good Gengar figure ever. The Plamo one is too stiff, the Jazwares one barely has articulation and everything else is a statue. I wonder what Blokees' take on Gengar would look like...>>11864277>no minifigurewhy even...>>11864671Why do these have more soul than the official ones? >>11864238
>>11864933>Why do these have more soul than the official ones?Quite simply, Ash has in all instances more soul than Red, and especially nuRed.
Any leaks on what's in the next select wave? The current wave is basically out and we usually know something about what's ahead.
>>11865112Well Red was a "Pokemon" created by Professor Oak in a war revenge plot type thing in a Mewtwo kinda way so technically he doesn't have a soul. That's why he's mute.
>>11865245WHAT
>>11865245NANI!?
>>11865217I follow many collectors who usually have info and there has not been hardly anything for any of the jazzwares sizes. The only ones I know of are voltorb, whimsicott and the red lycanroc for the small ones. There are others from toy fare that we still need to get like the deerling, alola sandshrew, wattrel, 4" armarouge and the other one whos name I forget plus 4" gallade.
>>11865217I expect nothing from this brand anymore and its insulting QC
>Waiting for Target to restock Blastoise already so I can order him to go with my Charizard
>>11865453wheres this from? I didnt think this was out yet
>>11865554Some guy on disc posted a review with tons of pics. I also saw an influencer on ig with one, and the hand was detached inside the box. Pretty disappointing desu
>>11865554https://youtu.be/GuALj0j38js?si=EQM4js6jAE2Tc7lNThere was already a video review in the previous thread like a month ago.
>>11863570I like Garchomp but I don't have many mons and I don't want it getting out of hand. Plus they'd all just go in the salty bet displays anyway.
>>11865554UK has it now apparently. >>11865734yea I saw those pics too. That guy on discord hated it and said it couldn't even stand on its own and the hands are too fragile too. The IG guy post some pics as a review and said the hand broke in the box. Chat, are we cooked? is this another one like Scizor or Charizard's tail that has quality problems with all the figures?
>>11865531Got him in store the other day. Hopefully Venusaur in the next wave. Any News on Lugia and Ho-oh for Selects? Legendary Dogs re-issues?
>>11865768>Lugia and Ho-oh for Selects? Why? Lugia has the Epic. A Select would be smaller and the Epic is already not big enough>Legendary Dogs re-issues?Rumors of a Suicune coming in the next wave again but there's no telling if Target will get it since this is the only time they've ordered lots of the repeats
>>11865796Because epic lugia looks retarded as fuck so another shot to a better lugia would be fine. I collect like 3 different scales anyway
>>11865245
>>11865768>>11865862I would love a Lugia or Ho-oh Selects.>>11865796>Lugia has the Epic. A Select would be smaller and the Epic is already not big enoughThe epic is too stiff for how emotive Lugia. I need a Lugia figure as articulate as the Shodo Figure, but bigger so that it scales with at least my Blokees figures...
>>11864432is there a list of 1/10 figures? I am this close to just using blanks to make trainers like Sabrina
>>11866184To learn more, play the Pokemon Rocket Red Edition romhack (it's p gud)
is it just me or has blokees slowed down on new releases?
>>11866838China got angy (when doesn't it..) when pokemon announced a tcg event at a war monument.
For whatever reason Jaz isn't making the mascot legends anymore. The ride dragons would've been more welcome than Ceruledge and Armarouge in the Select line. They're making them again in the 4.5 line anyway.
>>11867056>For whatever reason Jaz isn't making the mascot legends anymore. This was announced?>The ride dragonsWho?
>>11867058Not announced but obviously they haven't made Zacian, Zamazenta, Koraidon, Miraidon (ride dragons "ride-on"). Gen 9 is almost over and in the past both Tomy USA and Wicked Cool Toys did their own versions of Lunala and Solgaleo.
>>11867070Designs too complicated for Jazwares
>>11867071god I hope that's true and they dont waste any more time on any more of the overdesigned slop pokemon from the nugens
>>11867071>Designs too complicated for JazwaresCeruledge, Armarouge, Incineroar and Noivern arent???>>11867056I hope they do make mascot legendaries since thats honestly the perfect scale for Selects. Why would you want an oversized Gallade or Tyranitar that do absolute shit?Jaz should do Legendaries, Blokees should do the rest of the smaller Pokemon ideally. Also Plamo has made Koraidon and Miraidon, so its not the complicated.>then just get that oneThey dont articulate at all...
>>11864671I bought these, what am I in for? Do they feel Lego quality?
Next Moncolles are the 2 Mega Raichus
Here's July's updated checklist. For new releases last month there was: -Select Gastly pearly Evo pack - at Target now-6" Select Blastoise - at some Targets but not online yet-3-pack Wave 29 (one set has 3" Greavard, another has 2" Frigibax) showing up at US Walmarts-Clip n Go Bandolier W7 (One Sprigatito set, one Pikachu set) at Smyths Germany-Epic Golurk is on Amazon UK-Costco has an exclusive Calendar that's mainly figures from the last two calendars from last year-6" Select Garchomp, Rayquaza, and Mewtwo re-releases are showing up at US Targets-The new 10-pack with 4.5" Blastoise is at Targets-Epic Gyarados re-release is at Target-6" Select Mega Lucario is on Amazon UK-Battle Pack Wave 24 (Ponyta, Golett, Paras, Pawmo, etc) is out at some smaller Euro retailers-A new 8-pack is available from Argos in the UK that includes 3" Golett
>>11868058Need Pinsir already
>>11868072It was at US Target and BAM earlier this year. But it was blink and you miss it quick.
>>11868058Man, I wished Jazwares would make some Selects Trainers. Even Just the OG cast of Ash, Misty, Brock, and Team Rocket would be nice. They have the tech since they make those Total Anime 6 in figs. Maybe 2028 will be the year, the 30th anniversary of the US pokemon debut.
>>11868057Hopefully mega drampa eventually
>>11868171hopefully more restrictions will be placed after Japan passes laws on what Americans can do with the Pokémon brand
>>11868058Why is fucking Gyarados nack out by not Tyrantrum?
>>11868198Cause their logic is probably Tyrantrum is more recent by year and Gyarados hasn't been around in a while. Or Gyarados is just more popular in the way Rayquaza and Garchomp get Select re-releases over some of the other choices.
>>11868171Id rather have gym leaders or generic. Jessie's big hair caused posing issues
>>11868198they already had the new gyarados molds made since it was just reprinted in the pearlescent evolution pack last year
>>11868198>>11868218>>11868227Would love a Dragonite rerelease, if we don't get Trainer select.
>>11868244I just picked up a dragonite for a few bucks off marketplace.Few scuffs, but might as well have been there from the start knowing Jazwares.
>>11868461>toys suck buy anyway>games suck buy anyway>defend N to the death over various bullshitman what a raped fanbase
>>11868691You know what else sucks? Your mouth when I insert DEEZ NUTZ Heh... gottem...
>>11868461>I just picked up a dragonite for a few bucks off marketplace. How is he articulation wise? I know he's an Epic so it's not as good as Select but he seems like all we're going to get unless Blokees makes him.
>>11869152Preposed then cut to be 5poa joints can only rotate. Tail is huge and not posable would knock every toy in range
>>11868172Maybe as a bandai finger puppet
>>11869173That's some monkey's paw tier shit
>>11869392Bandai kids are pretty great tho
>>11869412only to cover for moncolles
>>11869413I like them as their own, paint apps are top notch and the matte finish on the vinyl is pristine Not even moncolle maintained that quality and it's been 30yrs already. I specially like the ones with more than one pokemon or in special poses
>>11869417good paint for chibi sculpting to fit your finger
>>11869412all the figs are the same size. sculpting is mushy and distorted proportions. no thanks. like the other guy said, these are only good for a few specific types of small pokemon that aren't distorted too much by this style figure
>>11869392They're the only ones that makes figures of larger mons that are not genwun or shillmons
>>11869173>>11869412>>11869417I have a more traditional collection where I actually care about scale and proportions. I only buy the Pokemon I like. And then I have a second one with Bandai Kids where I'm working on completing the Pokedex. It's inexpensive, take up no space and it's pretty much the only collection where I'm willing to buy some random shitmon or Pokemon I don't even like. And it's great. Yeah they're all the same size and have distorted proportions, but that's part of their charm and not every collection is meant to be to scale. You've got trainers, over 900 Pokemon, Megas, Gigantamax... And they do their job amazingly well. It's actually funny to think you can own more Bandai Kids than there will ever be Pokemon in a single game lolIt's super fun to have as a secondary collection.
Just saw epic skeledirge and that has to bee one of the ugliest toys jazwares have ever realeased. Shampoo bottle looking mf
>>11872938So you're saying they portrayed it accurately. Good.
>Mega Lucario shows up here before Scizor or BlastoiseThe fuck
>>11872938The Skeledirge figure still looks decent overall. It's nowhere near as ugly as the Select Typhlosion, Select Charizard, Select Lucario, Epic Lugia and so on.
Is it too late for Tomy to make ZA relevant Moncolles once the new main game releases? Would have old Tomy already done so (like figs for every mon that got a Mega)? Got Absol at least.>>11869412>>11870063>Chibi/less accurate proportions>30 yurobucks for a Gashapon pack that i'm only interested in 3/15 figs ofNot for me, sorry.
>>11873889The main game won't be out for a while then there's the same wait for figures like there was for ZA after the game does come out. So there's still now until then for them to do more megas.
>>11873853Is just that the sculpt looks too soft. And the whole thing had paint smears. The hair is specially ugly they could had at least made the flames to be traslucent plastic
>>11873933But things have slowed down considerably since last year, right? Feels like they produce in three months what last year was produced in one month. Not counting the anniversary stuff.
>>11874096They count the anniversary stuff as new releases even if they aren't thay exciting.
So been out of the loop. Is Blokees making a Mewtwo? Any news on what mons are coming out?
>>11875035>Is Blokees making a Mewtwo?Apparently>Any news on what mons are coming out?For Blokees? Nope. They nuked their CN twitter account and it looks like the US is taking over, so that's another dead man walking.
My gameplan to make custom trainers while requiring minimal skill and time investment>get bootleg shf body-chan or body-kun >apply waterslide decals for eyes>use milliput to make hairThe main problem I can anticipate is if sculpting hair out of milliput is harder than it looks, and if the body-kun or body-chan head doesnt fit on whatever body I want to use
>>11876494I like acrylic standees
Heat and patience. Now I can display the empty shell for withdraw
>>11877059you broke iiit....
Nah everything can pop back on, but I have 2 blastoise so I guess I'll make a all black custom "Shadow Blastoise" or a shiny
Man, all this time they couldve been pumping out so many gen 9 mon figs... this has been the longest gen and it's gotten so little.I hope they're using this time to pump out gen 10 mons. Surely this hope isnt misplaced haha...
>>11877670We never get next gen early, nor even at the start outside of the starters. All I really need is Pawmot line, Lokix line, Great Tusk and Scream Tail
>>11877670In the past with moncolle if it was a legendary it was almost guaranteed to be made. But gen 9 they had Chien Pao and not the others. The loyal 3 and Pecharunt too. Jazwares on the western side hasn't done a single gen 9 legendary or paradox.
Its palafin, garganacl, cetitan, spidops, and cyclizar for me. I think blokees and jazwares will get into a better routine over time. I expect more shilling for Gen 10 to boost switch 2 sales.
I'm still mad we never got a Frosmoth figure. Between Moncolle, Kids, Jazzwares, Re-ment and those random candy toys you'd think we'd get one at some point, especially since almost all lines has made Snom.
>>11879152Ehh jazwares would probably do it later
>>11878514Palafin for me too and Finizen. If you do Finizen you get double use out of it by just having the heart.
>>11862069Does anyone have the Mewtwo Select? I saw a review on Target about the tail flaking. Is this widespread or the guy just had bad luck with QC?
>>11880741They fucking painted the bendy stuff instead of getting the plastic color right? Damn.
>>11880741This is the new one right? I don't recall anyone saying that about the old one.
>>11880981Yeah. All the reviews on the product page are from the last month or so.
>>11880741I have the original release. I always keep the tail straight, so I usually don't bend the bendy parts to extreme angles so there's no wear. Looking at him, I can't tell if the tail is painted or not.
>>11880741I like how this one is colored more white compared to the original. The flaking is unfortunate.
>>11880741every time, they manage to do even worse than the time before
Plamo Quick!! Dragonair and Plamo Select Mega Dragonite went up. Latter's still just an illustration, fuck Bandai for not posting product pics.
>>11885106Looks nice. Only stickers are the eyes probably.
>>11885106Finally a plamo that;s useful again
>>11885106Took them weeks to put up images of Mega Rayquaza and the bikes after release. They always shit out 3D renders, why not with these?
New Moncolle for October and November. Mega Lucario Z + Shiny, Mega Greninja, Mega Delphox, Mega Chesnaught, and Mega Zygarde. About time and hoping this isn't the end of their ZA megas
>>11885901>bad scale characters>Ash Greninja retcon againdouble barf
>>11885901This reminds me, I dug my pokemon figures out of storage the other day and found the Mewtwo Strikes Back clone ball set which I'd completely forgotten I'd even bought
>>11885901I NEED all of these, they look great. Only complaint is they didn't make zygardes body translucent green. Wouldve been perfect.
>>11885901I just pre-ordered all of them, except the shiny one.
>>11885901The 2 Raichu actually don't even have trading cards yet but they're coming soon. Same with Lucario. Even the cards are rolling out slowly so there's time for figures.
>>11886136>except the shinyBut that's the best colors, and it isn't often we even get shiny merch, if you're only gonna get one it should be that
Saw a bunch of 2ndhand Select Blastoises on Amazon Returns go up and down and decided to order one, since Smyths and others still didn't get him.Box is still sealed, just some minor box damage taped up.What I want to check is if this small dent on the chest is on all Blastoises. Only really noticeable in such direct light. It's mirrored on the other end, so I assume it's because of the internals.
