A Maisto 1/24 Assembly Line Model and an Autoworld in Competition Orange, both 2012 Boss 302s.The Maisto was on a 40% discount sale, I would not have bought it for the full $30 price. The gimmick with the Assembly Line Models is that it's a 1/24 model that you have to piece together yourself. A fun idea until you realize that these models cost double the normal 1/24 models for the privelege of doing the sweatshop assembly yourself with the bonus of having a second set of rims to choose from.Still, they're worth looking at if there's a model you want. Just make sure to research it first-not all models have opening hoods with an engine. The 1948 Ford F1 pickup doesn't have an opening hood or engine-instead the tailgate can be let down. This Mustang has opening doors and hood, but not the trunk.

Hopefully Slide-Burn gets the Transformer treatment next. Every time I look at this car, the first thought that goes through my head is "what does this turn into?" There's already a Transformer called Side Burn they could borrow the paint scheme from for an interesting throwback.

Wow, this board/thread is slow. It's three or four more big flee markets and then my die cast intake will shrink significantly again.Today's haul, the Salt Shaker is cool and could do with some custom work, tje willies still has its wheely bar and the Model T is made by EFSI, a Dutch company established in the 60's to cover employment for former miners.
I'm trying to find if anyone still makes those cheap bootleg thin metal stamped metal cars from the 90's that were on thin plastic bases, usually black base, sometimes chromed, the top half was metal with a solid color paint with a stamped deco on the hood or roof. Summer Metal Products, and Marz Karz is the closest lead I've found, but those are for actual vintage listings. Looking to find a bulk lot of new cars in that specific cheap thin metal style that dented easily when hit by a real hotwheels or matchbox brand car.
The more I think about it, this is definitely my favorite of the legends tours winners so far, both in diecast and real life. The p1800 is underrated to begin with, and this really just takes it's already paradoxically cute/badass proportions and makes them look downright cartoonish.I wish it had more interesting repaints/wheel options. Some of the new WWIMs with chrome hubcaps would look banger on the front, but I haven't found them in the right size yet to do a swap.

Someone last thread had a really cool glow in the dark Leadfoot. Maisto still makes the cast, but it's now its just matte olive drab with black flame decals.

A couple of premium finds, I recognize this gigantic Mercedes as being one of the cars available in the first Project Cars (2015) game. The in-game car was the 6.3L version, but this cast is specifically named for the AMG 6.8L engine version. Despite that, the rear has a 6.3 badge and a... 380 SEL badge?

Matchbox moving parts 2024 Dodge Charger R/T. I like the deep blue paint job and the head and taillight details inside the recesses are well done. There's even a Daytona decal on the rear bumper. I have to mention, I personally think Matchbox moving parts makes the best cars with opening passenger doors. The flat springs ensure they always open cleanly, not like M2s where they're either extremely tight, loose, or worse, they rub the sides and scratch the paint as they open. MBX engine hoods are a different story, though. Now I just wish this Charger had automatic sliding seats for crushing rear passengers trying to enter/exit the car just like the real thing.

We already pay €3,- for a mainline over here in Euroland so why not have something relevant for sale?

So I'm getting back into collecting (my last goal was all highway 35 cars in box, got all of them with a few german ones which was odd) after taking a several years long breakI've picked up a few auto world and johnny lighting cars since I like more realistic castings now but I was just curious how do you get them to remain still in the case? I want to use double sided tape/ command strips but Im afraid itll mess up the tires or the frame and plus I still want to take them out and mess with them. Any advice on an "easy" fix?

Siku Porsche racing team, In 1/55 scale. A bit of tactical posing going on because the rear doors of the van are missing and the trailerbed is prevented from tipping over bu a bit of random sprue.

I found a silver series Firebird that someone threw in a bin with a bunch of regular HW cars. It reminded me of an old hand-me-down Ertl diecast Firebird from when I was a kid. I distinctly remember trying to 'restore' the scratched paint job with a maroon crayon because it was the only thing I had that matched the color. Maybe one day I'll give it a real restoration.

>>11876090I have no idea, there are things I chase for rarity and profit, for die-cast tough, I know most brands but my knowledge is mostly 'hey cool car, imma get that' The red one is a 2004 Hot Wheels McDonald's Hardnoze "2 Cool" according to Google. It has a battery door and a switch to light up the clear parts, when I get to it I will get a new battery to try it. It's a bit cartoony for my taste but the body shape itself is real pretty, maybe it will look better with less silly big front wheels or maybe I just keep it like this.

I will make my own, thin, clear so can see the interior.I don't have a lot of time so the progress is very slow but I really want this 300ZX to be something special. This is my passion project and I'm not on hurry. For now I'm trying to sand down front bumper to get perfect lines. Then will have to do something about wheel arches. I'm thinking about some sort of Rocket Bunny style widebody but nothing too extreme.
A boneshaker, some more Aero stiff and a cracked out Fab1 are the final cars for the pile. I will now do some measurements and counting and order wheels on AliExpress.

These days, transformers are so concerned with robot mode/cartoon model accuracy and the alt modes end up getting incredibly compromised. >>11878463That's Studa-Beaker, a highly overlooked and underrated casting, IMO. It's an unlicensed take on a chopped-and-dropped 1950s Studebaker Champion. As far as I can tell, it was only ever released in a handful of spectraflame colors for the "Classics" series almost 20 years ago. Damn shame.

Anyone have any experience with Tonkin Replicas? I bought a trailer truck diecast at a gift shop (featuring Sam's Club) with the trailer measuring seven and a half inches. The problem is, it doesn't quite roll smoothly, and I think that that's because the front wheels are a little too close to the cast itself, though I think I was able to fix it somewhat by screwing around with the tire (which is removable) a bit.Their website is down and their Facebook hasn't been updated in years which makes me think they've already died, but their stuff looks cooler than most other diecast manufacturers.

A Wienermobile is bumming around my area this weekend. It got me thinking that it's kind of weird that the only recent Wienermobile castings we have are monster trucks. I wonder why they won't do a normal one or even capitalize on the races they've done before the Indy 500 the past couple years.

Do you guys have tracks for your cars? I had seen then a few times on yt bit now that I am looking for wheels and what people do for customizing their cars, I am finding an entire scene who races their die cast.
