After being initially let down by Baroness, the Hiya Joe line has legit become one of my favorite 1/18 lines. Which makes the fact that their Walking Dead line is so inferior very frustrating. The Joes arw basically the same price, but have better articulation and more accessories. Daryl and Negan dont even come with swappable hands to better hold their guns and crossbow.
>>
>>11867784
fwiw I ended up ordering the Acid Rain figure I thought looked cool in the last thread, should be on it's way now
>>
>>11869194
I should give them a try again. I was really happy with their Robocop and Dredd lines, but the Aliens/Predators were shockingly bad engineering, especially leg and ankle articulation.
>>
with a new joe movie announced... will we see more 1:18 joes or is everything gonna be 1:12 gayness?
For the Snake Eyes solo movie all toys were 1:12 IIRC.

My Nanmu Allosaurus arrived. It's Nanmu's first and seemingly only 1/18 scale figure since it's the smallest Allosaurus species. Kinda crazy that Allosaurus europaeus and Allosaurus fragilis are the same genus, but one is the size of an elephant and the other is the size of a horse.

I never collected their Predator or Alien figures, but I would totally recommend giving their newer Joes a try. Range Viper and Baroness barely feel like they are part of the same line given how much better Range Viper is.

Probably, A europaeus was still weighed as much as a clydesdale. I wouldnt want to fight one without a gun.
>>11870977
Unfortunately the the Hammond Collection allo just isnt big enough to slot in well as Saurophaganax/Allosaurus Anax. Sauro was like 3 to 4 meters longer than Fragilis and upwards of 2 tons more massive than it.

did anybody pre-order the Blokees 1/18 Spider-Man kits? Hulk seems a little small for 1/18 scale, but in general they look pretty good.

You were right; Hulk is actually fine, Tom Holland is only 5'7, so Spider-Man should be 9.45 cm

Got this guy in the mail. He's great, though I feel duped by the promo pics because they made it look like the cape had a wire in it when it doesn't. Only real complaint is it doesn't have an ankle rocker, though I doubt many do at 1:18.

>>11870362
I know it's for copyright reasons but there's funny about Nanmu's other dino stuff having such names as SOVEREIGN OF THE OATH, SHADOW BLADE, WAR GOD etc.
But for Broken Jaw here, the best they could do was "Crooked Mouth Guy".
>>
>>11878381
Ankle rockers aren't terribly rare in the scale and every single ARW release has had rocker ankles. Are you sure you don't just need to heat it up?

Literally just about every TVC figure has rocker ankles at this point. Hell Hasbro was doing them on Joes way back in like 2011.

I didn't mean to sound ignorant, I meant that the 1:18 figures I normally see are simple ReAction style ones and so didn't expect as much articulation as larger figures. I don't own many.

Finally unpacked this little guy. I really don't know how I feel about him on one hand the articulation is insane considering how small he is and he looks great. On the other hand the shield feels like badly engineered and he struggles holding it a nice looking way, the lack of a a tiltable wrist joint makes the spear the worst possible weapon for him and his shoulder armor constantly comes loose which is annoying but I guess it gives him more moveability and the option to remove it so it's ok.
Should have waited for the Murmillo restock/10
>>
>>11879212
The joytoy wrists should be able to tilt both ways depending on which way you have it orientated, as it's a sperate joint that plugs into the fore-arm and the hand plugs on the other end. with the middle of it being a joint.

I kind of hate the fact that there aren't a lot of reasonably priced "bad guys" like this. And also that they don't have "real" joints.
These guys ( I *had* 3) are more durable but less articulated and more expensive.

I know the old prospector from Chicken Fried toys comes with a pick-axe - but where else can I get one at this scale?
>>
>>11887565
Bruder 62008 has one, and ARAH Alpine's can pass as a normal pickaxe. There was one in the old Indiana Jones map room play set, and there's at least one repro of that on eBay. There's a regular pickaxe in the Jazwares 4" Fortnite line, but I couldn't say which particular figure/playset it came with.

I swear I had posted this..
But does any third party make Torches along the same lines as the ones from Indian a Jones.
You can occasionally get a random lot with them but otherwise not really.
The only other torches out there seem to be from boss fight. And they look less "organic"

I stand corrected. it's actually cheaper to buy a carded figure.and throw everything but the torch away - than buying the torch.
