Seto turned out better than anticipated. The YGO stuff really feels like they put in a lot of effort, some really great accessories with these guys, especially if you have the Monsterarts. Genuinely I don't understand why anyone would get Kaiba without his signature monster. Kinda wish I had the money and space to get two more BEWDs but I'm happy enough with just one.

I have figma Yugi and for the time he was pretty good. I was lazy and just never got around to grabbing Kaiba before he got expensive and regretted it for a long time. When the SHFs were announced and I saw there were Monsterarts, I knew now was a good time to jump in. Yugi was definitely an improvement over the figma, he can actually stand without a stupid stand. And his coat/cape is actually articulated now. I'm very pleased to have the SHFs.

I will say, Jolyne looks kinda rough to me. With the entire head-neck situation. But they've improved basically all of their figures from their initial promos, so I'm rolling the dice on the same happening to her.

Yeah, Jolene is definitely the roughest looking one right now. Most of the issues are with the long ass torso, like seriously I tried to find any reference images where it’s ever been shown that long and couldn’t find anything. The neck could probably be shortened some too, but she does have a long neck in some references. The face is currently okay, but I’m sure they’ll touch it up before release like they did the others. I’m not so sure they’ll fix the torso though…

There's something about her head right now that doesn't quite work for me. I think her hair is too small? Even if you just compare it to that ref you're using. I can get over the face not being 1:1 (and Bandai seems to refine the faces between promos and final product anyway), but the hair being a different size throws the face off entirely.
Torso is definitely a bit too long, though. It might look correct in some frames (she has been drawn pretty lanky) but those would be the exceptions.
I also think it's a shame they didn't go all out with her stand effects. I love the partial string designs when she's disassembled. An arm or a leg with that would've been real neat.

That's a shame. Medicos had been asked for years, long before Tamashii's Jojo line, to redo the line to be in scale with their Johnathan. Tamashii is probably not going to do extra colorways either. I'm going to stay with my SAS since I already have the full line up, but it just tickles my tism that they don't scale with the rest of my collection.

i owned the SAS Joseph as a cope for years t b h. i didn't want to pay out the ass for my favorite colorway (green) because the wonfes it was sold at was years ago by that point so it was regularly 20,000 to 25,000 yen in a time when the yen was worth way more. so I got the blue, and I honestly never liked it. but I did like the accessories. I got the SHF now and I'm way happier with it because it reminds me more of the anime Joseph even if it's not 100%. but it does have less paint than the SAS and also less accessories (shf has more faces though cause sas for some reason thinks 2 heads and one of them is a blowjob face is enough)

The 2.0 looks better, but it hasn't released yet so the final verdict is still undecided. The product shots look immaculate though. I think the 1.5 looks better than the SHF as well but the scale is too small compared to modern SAS scale.

I don't think any strawhats are guaranteed besides Luffy. They did Luffy and a random Chopper for egghead and I don't believe the Chopper was very popular. They did Luffy, Zoro and Sanji for Wano but they made sense to start the line with at the time. Then you just need to find Tokusatsu figures that are animated. There's actually a handful of them that do like the Ultraman Suits, mechanized versions of Ultraman from the 2019 anime. There's also Kamen Rider W from Fuuto Tantei but in that case, they simply repainted the already released SHFSS Kamen Rider W in anime colors because Tokusatsu suits easily carry over to animation without much changes required.

I don't have a picture handy unfortunately and my Party Wagon is currently on the top of a tall shelf that I can't reach without grabbing a stool or something. But, I can tell you they scale pretty well with it. You can actually get them all to fit inside. It's a tight fit, but you can even get one of them in the front seat, I don't remember if I was able to get two squeezed in there. The retro Wagon is definitely not a bad option if you don't want the fuck huge NECA or Super7 ones.

The VAH Whitebeard get super loose. The belt likes to fall off and the moustache is easy to break. Mine looks like it's gone through the wars, especially given it's been under a warm LED light so all the paint from coat and arms has faded/discolored. It's just not very fun to play with.
Interesting if the VAH and SHF go up for PO at the same time.

Yeah around $65 felt like a decent price for shf before they went up about 20-30 after tariff shit. Can’t imagine paying 90-100 for figures like Hancock or Reze or any of the other barebones simplistic releases, it’s just not worth it.
