These systems are extremely exploitable and you can leverage the fact that you "earned" these bonuses to get promoted. Today you have people running these major chains that don't actually know how to run a business and so they push these insane 50-80% clearances on "loss leaders". That's half of it. The other half is that the more you manufacture a figure the cheaper it becomes. Retailers committing 40000 orders lowers the cost.
