I've seen the movie a dozen times, but what the fuck was the Frankenstein Monster's shirt made out of? Fur?
It's alive! We're actually getting more Universal Monsters! Hopefully a handful more before things truly wrap up.The Son of Frankenstein monster and an Invisible Invisible Man are up for order now.
>>11872854
>>11872854Wrapping things up? They're stopping Universal Monsters? Aw man.. There goes my chance to get Molemen...
>>11872853Looking it up, I guess it was a sheepskin vest?
>>11872854Also, NECA Nailed the eyelids being sculpted on the prostetics.
>>11872857No, I don't think that's what they meant. Most people thought the line was done with when nothing was shown at SDCC. These new reveals are a surprise to everyone. The line may have a lot more coming, or it may only be a few more releases. We'll have to see if we get some news soon.
Ben Cooper wave 15 was announced and is up for pre-order.It is a Hasbro mish-mash wave. Optimus Prime, Megatron, GI Joe Grunt and Sgt. Slaughter, and finally Matt Trakker from MASK
>>11872863
>>11872867
>>11872868
>>11872869
>>11872857>>11872861Sorry, didn't mean to mislead with the wording. There's no word on it being over. Like what that anon said, this is a pleasant surprise of life after nothing at the con. Hoping we see Lugosi's Ygor to go with the monster, here. With Halloween coming up it'd be a nice time to show more Monsters.
>>11872861Oh good, so Molemen could be happen.
>>11872869Huh, so WWE doesn't own the name Sgt. Slaughter?
>>11872874According to Google, he won the legal battle with Vince to keep his IP and trademark rights. So yeah, he can keep calling himself Sgt. Slaughter and market himself to whatever.
>>11872853I've seen most of the universal films but the Frankenstein sequels I missed (aside from the crossovers).I guess now I can see why RZ's Herman is wearing this.
>>11872878Yup. That's how we got both Classified and Action Force Sarges at the same time, lol.
>>11872878Ah, one of the few times Slaughter didn't job while working for the WWE.
>>11872855>invisible man >but his clothes are also invisibleThe strangest variant of all. Missed chance to have a clear naked Claude Rains or Vincent Price.
>>11872901It's just an excuse to reuse the mold.
>>11872882In the original show there was another Frankenstein monster, a ‘brother’ of Herman named ‘Yohan’. He was dressed like SoF but was inarticulate and had no sense of civilized behavior.

>>11872857Wonder who will get the license after they lose it. Probably Mattel.
>>11872852he looks foolish
>>11872867>>11872863Megatron is spot-on, but I don't remember Optimus having yellow legs.
>>11873079He did, you’re clearly just misremembering.
>>11873124Fuck off troll.>>11873079Well, it did.
>>11873136Funny how a quick two minute google search could have prevented him from making that false statement.
So other Puppet series I'd love for NECA to try, besides MST3K are like, Crank Yankers, Lambchops, some of the Puppets from PeeWee's Playhouse, I dunno, Greg the Bunny.
>>11873364Don't Hug Me I'm Scared. Maybe Avenue Q?
So they brought back the horror mystery boxes and I saw someone post theirs online… hope they like toony terrors? They advertise this as a $400 value.
>>11873431Yeah, that's just over $400 in merch there.
>>11873431Wow, pretty great scores honestly!
>>11873431Do NOT place Noseferatu near your light switch.
>>11873504Where at?
>>11873431Murder, She Wrote is my favorite horror show.
>>11873702I mean, it deals with death...so...yeah? Problem?
>>11873720>it deals with death...so...yeahUp there with other horror classics like Magnum PI, Diagnosis: Murder, Colombo, NYPD Blue, JAG, CSI, NCIS, Bones, and Castle. My favorite horror movie is My Girl. It deals with death, so that means it's horror. I hope NECA make a Vada and Thomas 2 pack.
>>11873431>americans get all of that for $140fuck. I could by maybe 1 and a half ultimates for that with 140 dollarydoos.basically an awesome deal if you love toonies.
Make them happen, NECA.
>>11873817the clown costumes really lend themselves to being soft goods figures. maybe they stay away from them for that reason.
>>11873752You sure are assmad about a show you didn't watch.
>>11873822While on one hand I can see that, I can't imagine them keeping their shapes very well. Speaking as a collector/buyer I'd much prefer them to be pear-shaped plastic molds, even if that meant their legs weren't all that articulated. It's not like the Klowns do martial arts or anything dynamic like that. Action figures with fabric never look good anyway, at least not to me personally. They always look like cheap toys you might've seen in the '60s or something and not something I'd want to spend $30-40 on.Same with Rita. I get what they're going for with her dress and all, I really do. And it makes sense. But Rita has a big poofy skirt and the Lightning Collection figure's skirt is literally just as thick as her legs are and it doesn't look right, and there's no way to make it poofy without doing something to the figure, which I shouldn't have to do. I would've been fine with a nicely sculpted plastic skirt.
>>11873822NECA has done figures of characrers with poofy sleeves before like Currywise.Their feet would be an issue though.
>>11873866I've got no problem with cloth if it's done well but that's just me and probably because I prefer also articulation. >>11873874I think they'd have to be done more like Grimace for the legs because they're so short.
Another issue with cloth figures is posing them, for either display or photography. You can't always get fabric to behave or co-operate like you need it to. With plastic figures, all you have to do is pose them how you want them and you're good to go.
>>11873874>NECA has done figures of characrers with poofy sleeves before like Currywise.Yeah, literally just do this.
The real challenge is how to pull off the inflation feature
>>11873888Removable/switchable chest plates.
How well do the NECA Universal Monsters scale with the Resurrection Monstress figures?
>>11873431Lame, Tony Terrors are the Funko Pops of neca
>>11874140Kind of a shame you spent all your mental energy on such a shit opinion.
>>11874059Some of the taller ones do okay.
>>11873817I got the Trick or Treat studios killer Klowns. They're only articulated at the neck and shoulders, but they look great.
>>11874173Ooh, you're right, these do look real nice. I may just have to try and track these down. At the very least, Jumbo, Rudy, and Shorty.
>>11874204Keep in mind they're big. Shorty is 7 inches at the top of his hair spike.
>>11874267Oh, geez, that is pretty big. How are these advertised as 8" figures if the one that's like half the size of all the others is 7"?
>>11873817sorry, too niche!
I really like this Pennywise. I need to figure out a way to have it on shelf and be able to "activate" the light piping, cause that's really effective.
>>11874405Shut the fuck up
>>11874406Kind of wish they would have attempted this on one of the ten variants they released for the two movies.
>>11874294
>>11874559Hmm. Slim actually looks somewhat in scale, because weren't the Klowns actually fairly tall? But yeah, Shorty is way too tall. Shame.
NECA owned up to their shipping mistake and sent a replacement. Packed it with double the bubble wrap than the first time and even put in cardboard inserts to fill the empty space. I find it amusing that the one they sent looks better than the one in their official product shots from their website. The black twist ties still look like shit and would have preferred the clear ones. I may take it out and replace them all with clear.
>>11873817For some reason I doubt NECA could top LC Zedd.
>>11874866You are such a weird, weird liar.>>11874962Gimme an Ivan Ooze, that's what I want from them.
>>11874962Seems like they'd top that pretty easily.
>>11874966>You are such a weird, weird liar.Yeah, nobody is going to believe NECA customer service actually responded to an issue.
>>11874977They do, but they don't replace packages, unless the figure itself was damaged. But that guy is a repeated liar who I guess wants everyone to believe he Karen'd himself into getting a replacement.
>>11874979Sounds like bollocks to me. And who complains about twist ties?
>>11874979But the proof is they replaced it for me. The fuck are you on about it? I'm happy and they have my money, there's nothing more to discuss.>>11874990>And who complains about twist ties?Their own official product shots show clear ties being used. It's a non-issue as I will replace them myself.
>>11875045Suuuuure schizo.
>>11875045>as I will replace them myself.>cries about box dings>goes on to open box to tear it up to replace useless plastic ties>pretends it's mint afterAs if anyone needed evidence to see you belong in a looney bin
>>11874972Nah, Neca and it's fanbase are cleary bottoms.
>>11875089
>>11875067I'm opening it. I'm not pretending it's mint. I will however display it in package because it was designed after the poster, which is one of my favorite poster designs ever. I will keep it tied in with the clear ties so that it doesn't fall out of the shell while being displayed in package. It's not rocket science.
>>11875106Schizooooo
>>11874962There's always been something that bugs me about the Lightning Collection Zedd I've never been able to articulate. Yeah, it looks good, great even, but there's just something about it... It looks TOO "action figure-y." It is just very blatantly a toy. I don't get it. Is it because he's a naked skinless guy and there's not a lot of ways to hide the joints and stuff? Maybe. I don't know. I don't even have this issue with the Rangers' figures. It's weird.
>>11875170It's cause it's a very "bloated" looking sculpt.
NECA needs to aquire the Troma license. Not only can we get things like a fully-articulated movie-accurate Toxie but they could also do an animated Toxic Crusaders line as a 1987 TMNT replacement (Fred Wolf did produce both shows).
>>11875291Sgt. Kabukiman when?
>>11875170It's less sinewy than the suit was. Less sculpted in details on the exposed muscles.
>>11875291Super 7 did those already didn't they, I imagine they'd look for new territory first
>>11875622Although now that I say that, I wonder if they'd do toon versions of other properties that fit in with their TMNT line now that it's ended.
>>11875622Those were based on the vintage toyline though.
Will Neca ever make Stan Winston’s Jason?
>>11875291They should also get GOOSEBUMPS.
To whoever told me to look out for Savini Jason, thanks. I probably would have figured I was outta luck when I heard preorders were over. Didn't want to comment I was able to grab one on Target until it arrived lol. My cousin will be happy come Christmas since he really liked the design. Almost makes me want to grab one for myself, but I have Jason 7 and that's my favorite so I'll probably pass.
>>11875844Excellent! So you managed to snag it off the website? I guess it came in stock at some point? Glad that worked out.
>>11875875Yep came in stock one of the times I checked. Had been looking at the site off and on for a week or so. If anyone still needs one might be worth checking periodically. I didn't know it had plastic to make the eyes glow. Didn't open him but saw it in a review. I do kinda wish the Jason's had better arm and torso movement, like my Jason 7. He looks great and moves well enough for a Jason. I'm just anal about elbow range.
>>11875884I meant I wish the Jason's, including my J7, had better range.
>>11875790Some of the monsters like the mummies and werewolves may be difficult given nothing about them is distinct.
Muppet babies lmao
>>11876186Why lmao? Muppet Babies is fucking great
>>11876205This. What are we thinking, couple of box sets? Two-packs?
>>11876210I bet 2 packs, that gives you 8 releases.
>>11876186they better make a pair of nanny legs to go with them
>>11876186
>>11876230Oh, holy shit, that's actually exciting! I thought maybe we'd get movie Muppet Babies at the minimum, but hell yeah, give me everything here. They also need to do Baby versions of Bunsen and Beaker and Bean.
>>11876186Only took them losing the TMNT license to finally do something interesting…
>>11876253Weird way to say you're a blind man.
>>11876240>Bunsen and BeakerI was gonna mention them too. I know they weren't in every single episode, but they were important enough to be in the theme song, which is good enough for me.
>>11876260>theme songIt's the only thing I remember about the show. That, and the McDonalds Happy Meal toys I got despite not really caring about the show. Kermit on a Skateboard was cool.>Muppet Babies>Duck Tales>McDonaldlandNECA Changeables when?
>>11876369They couldn't re-run it or put out dvds because it used a lot of star wars and indiana jones footage when they'd open doors to outside the nursery. I heard that fucked up the rights.
>>11876369>That, and the McDonalds Happy Meal toysChristmas '87 plushes for me, kek.
>>11876386Hell yeah, I get those guys out every Christmas.
I struggle to see how anyone could be satisfied or impressed going from The Thing’s MacReady, Evil Dead’s Ash, The Last of Us, Vincent Price, Universal Monsters, An American Werewolf in London, etc. to…….Muppet Babies, Sesame Street, McDonaldland, Duck Tales, and a Ren and Stimpy line starting with Powdered Toast Man. What even is NECA anymore?
>>11876392Nostalgia stuff for people born in the late 70s and early 80s.
>>11876392They're doing Muppet Babies?
>>11876392What's wrong with Vincent Price and the Muppets reuniting in Figure form, anyways?https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IVSPFp66UK0
>>11876381>They couldn't re-run it or put out dvds because it used a lot of star wars and indiana jones footage when they'd open doors to outside the nursery. I heard that fucked up the rights.Wait... Disney owns all three of these things now. Could there finally be a chance...?
>>11876429Here:>>11876186>>11876230
>>11876392It's giving people things they've wanted as toys for the longest time. And we're still getting horror stuff, too. So it's a nice well rounded time to collect. It's just too bad we're in the end times and costs have driven everything through the roof, so it's hard to appreciate it all 100%.
>>11876230>>11876433Well shit, this will be Skeeter's first merch appearance since the fucking 90s
>>11876230Only complaint, and it may just be a me thing, but Gonzo's nose is too small. Baby Gonzo had a fucking honking schnoz. Also, Piggy needs her white dot in her eyes.
>>11876431No, cause sometimes they used footage from Paramount and Universal. Like I remember Gonzo getting into a contest with Bela Lugosi dracula. Or Fozzie opened a door and got hit in the face by a pie thrown by Moe Howard. But damn, they got the main cast, minus Bunsen and Beaker. Baby Robin, Bean and Janice would be fun. And maybe some of the 2018 Babies can be used? Baby Chef? Baby Sweetums? Baby Rizzo?
>NECA Nanny figure>15 inches tall>is just the lower legs
>>11876452So how was it ok then but not now? Laws change? You'd think those clips would be public domain by now.
>>11876392You took this word for word from a random reddit comment.
>>11876459Ironically, blame Disney, they made copyright shit harder to navigate.
>>11876452>And maybe some of the 2018 Babies can be used? No.>Baby RobinWasn't Baby Robin just a tadpole?>Bean and JaniceJesus Christ, why are these designs horrifying? They don't even look like they're from the same show as the main group.
>>11876513>NoWhy not?
>>11876546Because they got rid of like half the group and shittified the theme song and I stopped paying attention after that. Also they added that fucking penguin when Muppet Babies literally already has a "new girl character made up specifically for Muppet Babies" character.
>Fred Wolf Michelangelo>Alf>Garfield>Huey Dewey and Louie>Baby Kermit, Baby Miss Piggy, and Baby GonzoNine down, 11 more to go and George C Scott's smoke-man.
>>11876186Appropriate considering NECAN'TS fanbase are all babies.
>>11876694Sounds like you hurt yourself coming up with that stinker.
>>11876609Kaiyodo did an articulated Pooh, if he's one you're looking to add.
>>11876703>Kaiyodo did an articulated PoohThey also did Tigger.Beast Kingdom did Bugs (as well as Huey, Dewey and Louie) but they look kind of shit like most Beast Kingdom stuff does. And Mondo did animated Slimer packed in with Venkman, but paying $100 just for a 2 poa accessory is a bit much.

>>11876748enjoy your perishable, non-durable goods
>>11876572They had no idea if they still owned the rights to Skeeter, anon. That's why when Adult Skeeter showed up in the Boom! Comics, they never say her name.
>>11876572>Got rid of like half the groupThe cost of CGI, actually, they had a limited budget and couldn't get all the babies together until the final episode. Rowlf, Scooter, Skeeter, Bunsen, and Beaker all make appearances. And you're upset about a Penguin? A Muppet staple? That've been around on the Muppet Show since as early as season 2?
Finally!
>>11876754>They had no idea if they still owned the rights to Skeeter, anon.Who else would have her? How could you own the Muppets and Muppet Babies and not own Skeeter?>>11876759>Bunsen, and BeakerBesides, the new series just has inferior character designs. Take Bunsen and Beaker for example. The original series at least redesigns them so they actually look like toddler versions of the characters. In the new series, they just look like normal Bunsen and Beaker, but in a chibi art style.>And you're upset about a Penguin? A Muppet staple? That've been around on the Muppet Show since as early as season 2?Ah, yes, I forgot about beloved classic Muppet character Summer the Penguin, who's been around since the 1970s. My mistake, clearly she should take priority over characters like Rowlf and Scooter.
>>11876759I'm shocked anyone cares about the cg show. I think there were some plastic figurines for that right?
>>11876829That one guy is going to be so pissed.

>>11876840The guy who tried to sue the 2018 production probably thought he owned her.Bunsen's whole thing is his head is supposed to be perfectly round. Not that dented shit from the 80s cartoon. Plus the shadow of the rim of his glasses emoted.
>>11876852I agree with NECA anon this time. Wouldn't NECA use bendy wires for a theoretical Elmo, like they did with Grover? The two puppets share the same arm build.
>>11876857>Bunsen's whole thing is his head is supposed to be perfectly round. Not that dented shit from the 80s cartoon.Wow, it's like he's a baby and hasn't finished fully forming yet...
>they do the 80s muppet babies>then do the 2018 muppet babiesthere, problem solved. mix and match.
>>11876863>muh realism in muh puppet cartoonNews flash. If it was realistic, Kermit wouldn't be walking around like a fully formed adult frog. He'd still have his tail. Much like baby Robin did in 2018's Muppet Babies.
>>11876859Also the eyes would be slightly further apart.
WILL NECA do a Johnny Fiama, AND a Sal Minella?
>>11876872Bro, I agreed with you it's AI slop, because NECA would use a bendy wire for Elmo's arms, because his arms are similarly built like Grover's.
>>11876859>>11876873Holy hell, dude's right, you are a retard. Has nothing to do with arms, it has everything to do with literally everything about the image. But yeah, focus on the arms because of whatever silly grudge you hold. Fucking hell, you lot really are incomprehensibly stupid.

Is there still people nostalgic for like, Kevin Sorbo's Hercules? Beast Master? Xena the Warrior Princess? NECA should reach out to whoever holds those IPs these days.
>>11877502Does Super7 still have the license? Herc and Xena might do okay, I don't think the line would have much in the way of legs, though. As an aside, I'm surprised how deep the original line went.
>>11877502It's funny that back in the day Hercules was the star and Xena was the knockoff. But Xena was definitely the one that had long term cultural impact.
>>11877593Wasn't there a crossover between em a few times?
>>11877596Xena was a character in Hercules and got her own show. Don't get me wrong they were both popular and Xena probably got higher viewership as it went on, I just remember Hercules being the major one in a way that's faded now.
>>11877593Xena was a spinoff. Beastmaster was a ripoff. Both were a ripoff of Conan.
>>11877639It probably helps that Lucy Lawless just got hotter after the shows ended whereas Kevin Sorbo went full chud.
>>11877502kevin sorbo has burned all his bridges so hard over the last decade I don't think anyone would touch hercules just for all the baggage he bringsxena maybe has a chance

>>11877593I mean that kinda makes sense. There's only one Xena, but there's tons of different interpretations of Hercules.

>>11881257My god, someone stole Elvira's nipples!
>>11881257And?
>>11881257Not uncommon.
>>11881283Oh noooo, not the faceplate coming off, oh noooo.
>>11881257>open up new fig up>investigate tits>no_nips.jpg>put it back in box immediately>file a return>keep faceplate as victim trophy
>>11881317The faceplate is in the box.
>>11881283NECAN'T quality seal of approval
>>11881322There's literally nothing wrong with it. Be more of an obvious troll.
>>11881257>dye from fabric leeching into the tits

Savini Jason is dope. I wasn't sure which head to use, but I think the light piping won out. They did a really nice job hiding the double joints in the elbows too.
>>11881848>light pipingHow does it work?
>>11881848They fucked the eyes up, looks weird.
>>11881852Clear plastic piece in the back of the head, catches light, makes the eyes glow. Pretty old toy technique.
>>11881855>They fucked the eyes up, looks weird. It doesn't look weird, and they didn't fuck them up either. There's two heads with painted eyes if that's what you prefer.
>>11881848Why are the eyes so lopsided?
>>11882033Because it's Jason.
>>11881545Rich coming from the faggot who spends all his time shilling for a toy company.
>>11881848That looks really damn good. Wish my stores would restock already. That reset fucked everything up.

>>11883772It's pretty standard articulation, don't know what you're crying about.
>>11883780Torso joint is under the rubber overlay shirt, which you'd know if you bought any toys at all. But you are clearly trolling. So there's your (you).
>>11883769He looks like that one guy from Scooby-Doo.
>>11884359What, you mean the Zombie?...Holy shit, you're right, he does. I can't unsee this now. He just looks like the Zombie wearing a hockey mask.
>it took him this long to figure outHow embarrassing

>>11886170Oh nice! Kinda want that one.
Can't wait for NECA to make a Galactic Godzilla figure for the new Super Nova movie!
>>11886452Oh look, someone must've just got off their ban. How adorable!
>>11885753It is embarrassing that you think anyone cares what your e-celeb horse shit has to say.
>>11886170They're filling this sub-line out real quick. That's neat.
>>11885753Please only post approved e-celebs like Toy Anxiety.
>>11886969Nobody is fuming because nobody cares what that guy has to say. You are a faggot though.

>>11887682You seem pretty upset that nobody cares about your videos.
>>11887682This is blowing up. Even Pixel Dan rarely gets 50k views on his vids these days, and he's a bonafide toy historian.
>>11887762You're trying too hard, troll.

>>11887825>>11887816Obvious trolls are obvious
Loooot of off topic post in here. Talk about NECA.
>>11888502OK.Man I wish NECA weren't out of scale with most other toylines.
>>11888509Nobody cares about that thankfully
>>11888548Citation needed. It sucks that NECA figures are all way too big to put with any other toyline in a display. Well aside from McFarlane I guess, but those are literally non-scale.
>>11888551That's your autistic problem, not anyone else's.
>>11888509I have about as much 1:10 as 1:12 stuff. I think 1:10 is just a better size for toys but it is what it is. Plus metric superiority. You can at least trust the size, when you order 1:12 stuff I never know what it's actually gonna be til it arrives.
>>11872855Very nice.
>>11879895it won't include them in the box but it will list them on the box and you will be grateful for it!
