I've seen the movie a dozen times, but what the fuck was the Frankenstein Monster's shirt made out of? Fur?
It's alive! We're actually getting more Universal Monsters! Hopefully a handful more before things truly wrap up.The Son of Frankenstein monster and an Invisible Invisible Man are up for order now.
>>11872854
>>11872854Wrapping things up? They're stopping Universal Monsters? Aw man.. There goes my chance to get Molemen...
>>11872853Looking it up, I guess it was a sheepskin vest?
>>11872854Also, NECA Nailed the eyelids being sculpted on the prostetics.
>>11872857No, I don't think that's what they meant. Most people thought the line was done with when nothing was shown at SDCC. These new reveals are a surprise to everyone. The line may have a lot more coming, or it may only be a few more releases. We'll have to see if we get some news soon.
Ben Cooper wave 15 was announced and is up for pre-order.It is a Hasbro mish-mash wave. Optimus Prime, Megatron, GI Joe Grunt and Sgt. Slaughter, and finally Matt Trakker from MASK
>>11872863
>>11872867
>>11872868
>>11872869
>>11872857>>11872861Sorry, didn't mean to mislead with the wording. There's no word on it being over. Like what that anon said, this is a pleasant surprise of life after nothing at the con. Hoping we see Lugosi's Ygor to go with the monster, here. With Halloween coming up it'd be a nice time to show more Monsters.
>>11872861Oh good, so Molemen could be happen.
>>11872869Huh, so WWE doesn't own the name Sgt. Slaughter?
>>11872874According to Google, he won the legal battle with Vince to keep his IP and trademark rights. So yeah, he can keep calling himself Sgt. Slaughter and market himself to whatever.
>>11872853I've seen most of the universal films but the Frankenstein sequels I missed (aside from the crossovers).I guess now I can see why RZ's Herman is wearing this.
>>11872878Yup. That's how we got both Classified and Action Force Sarges at the same time, lol.
>>11872878Ah, one of the few times Slaughter didn't job while working for the WWE.
>>11872855>invisible man >but his clothes are also invisibleThe strangest variant of all. Missed chance to have a clear naked Claude Rains or Vincent Price.
>>11872901It's just an excuse to reuse the mold.
>>11872882In the original show there was another Frankenstein monster, a ‘brother’ of Herman named ‘Yohan’. He was dressed like SoF but was inarticulate and had no sense of civilized behavior.
>>11872855>>11872901It should've been a clear/transparent/invisible body, but a visible pair of pants.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_Ek5v10EHoI
>>11872855>filename
>>11872857Wonder who will get the license after they lose it. Probably Mattel.
>>11872852he looks foolish
>>11872867>>11872863Megatron is spot-on, but I don't remember Optimus having yellow legs.
>>11873079He did, you’re clearly just misremembering.
>>11873124Fuck off troll.>>11873079Well, it did.
>>11873136Funny how a quick two minute google search could have prevented him from making that false statement.
So other Puppet series I'd love for NECA to try, besides MST3K are like, Crank Yankers, Lambchops, some of the Puppets from PeeWee's Playhouse, I dunno, Greg the Bunny.
>>11873364Don't Hug Me I'm Scared. Maybe Avenue Q?
So they brought back the horror mystery boxes and I saw someone post theirs online… hope they like toony terrors? They advertise this as a $400 value.
>>11873431Yeah, that's just over $400 in merch there.
>>11873431Wow, pretty great scores honestly!
>>11873431Do NOT place Noseferatu near your light switch.
>>11873504Where at?
>>11873431Murder, She Wrote is my favorite horror show.
>>11873702I mean, it deals with death...so...yeah? Problem?
>>11873720>it deals with death...so...yeahUp there with other horror classics like Magnum PI, Diagnosis: Murder, Colombo, NYPD Blue, JAG, CSI, NCIS, Bones, and Castle. My favorite horror movie is My Girl. It deals with death, so that means it's horror. I hope NECA make a Vada and Thomas 2 pack.
>>11873431>americans get all of that for $140fuck. I could by maybe 1 and a half ultimates for that with 140 dollarydoos.basically an awesome deal if you love toonies.
Make them happen, NECA.
>>11873817the clown costumes really lend themselves to being soft goods figures. maybe they stay away from them for that reason.
>>11873752You sure are assmad about a show you didn't watch.
>>11873822While on one hand I can see that, I can't imagine them keeping their shapes very well. Speaking as a collector/buyer I'd much prefer them to be pear-shaped plastic molds, even if that meant their legs weren't all that articulated. It's not like the Klowns do martial arts or anything dynamic like that. Action figures with fabric never look good anyway, at least not to me personally. They always look like cheap toys you might've seen in the '60s or something and not something I'd want to spend $30-40 on.Same with Rita. I get what they're going for with her dress and all, I really do. And it makes sense. But Rita has a big poofy skirt and the Lightning Collection figure's skirt is literally just as thick as her legs are and it doesn't look right, and there's no way to make it poofy without doing something to the figure, which I shouldn't have to do. I would've been fine with a nicely sculpted plastic skirt.
>>11873822NECA has done figures of characrers with poofy sleeves before like Currywise.Their feet would be an issue though.
>>11873866I've got no problem with cloth if it's done well but that's just me and probably because I prefer also articulation. >>11873874I think they'd have to be done more like Grimace for the legs because they're so short.
Another issue with cloth figures is posing them, for either display or photography. You can't always get fabric to behave or co-operate like you need it to. With plastic figures, all you have to do is pose them how you want them and you're good to go.
>>11873874>NECA has done figures of characrers with poofy sleeves before like Currywise.Yeah, literally just do this.
The real challenge is how to pull off the inflation feature
>>11873888Removable/switchable chest plates.
How well do the NECA Universal Monsters scale with the Resurrection Monstress figures?
>>11873431Lame, Tony Terrors are the Funko Pops of neca
>>11874140Kind of a shame you spent all your mental energy on such a shit opinion.
>>11874059Some of the taller ones do okay.
>>11873817I got the Trick or Treat studios killer Klowns. They're only articulated at the neck and shoulders, but they look great.
>>11874173Ooh, you're right, these do look real nice. I may just have to try and track these down. At the very least, Jumbo, Rudy, and Shorty.
>>11874204Keep in mind they're big. Shorty is 7 inches at the top of his hair spike.
>>11874267Oh, geez, that is pretty big. How are these advertised as 8" figures if the one that's like half the size of all the others is 7"?
>>11873817sorry, too niche!
I really like this Pennywise. I need to figure out a way to have it on shelf and be able to "activate" the light piping, cause that's really effective.
>>11874405Shut the fuck up
>>11874406Kind of wish they would have attempted this on one of the ten variants they released for the two movies.
>>11874294
>>11874559Hmm. Slim actually looks somewhat in scale, because weren't the Klowns actually fairly tall? But yeah, Shorty is way too tall. Shame.
NECA owned up to their shipping mistake and sent a replacement. Packed it with double the bubble wrap than the first time and even put in cardboard inserts to fill the empty space. I find it amusing that the one they sent looks better than the one in their official product shots from their website. The black twist ties still look like shit and would have preferred the clear ones. I may take it out and replace them all with clear.
>>11873817For some reason I doubt NECA could top LC Zedd.
>>11874866You are such a weird, weird liar.>>11874962Gimme an Ivan Ooze, that's what I want from them.
>>11874962Seems like they'd top that pretty easily.
>>11874966>You are such a weird, weird liar.Yeah, nobody is going to believe NECA customer service actually responded to an issue.
>>11874977They do, but they don't replace packages, unless the figure itself was damaged. But that guy is a repeated liar who I guess wants everyone to believe he Karen'd himself into getting a replacement.
>>11874979Sounds like bollocks to me. And who complains about twist ties?
>>11874979But the proof is they replaced it for me. The fuck are you on about it? I'm happy and they have my money, there's nothing more to discuss.>>11874990>And who complains about twist ties?Their own official product shots show clear ties being used. It's a non-issue as I will replace them myself.
>>11875045Suuuuure schizo.
>>11875045>as I will replace them myself.>cries about box dings>goes on to open box to tear it up to replace useless plastic ties>pretends it's mint afterAs if anyone needed evidence to see you belong in a looney bin
>>11874972Nah, Neca and it's fanbase are cleary bottoms.
>>11875089
>>11875067I'm opening it. I'm not pretending it's mint. I will however display it in package because it was designed after the poster, which is one of my favorite poster designs ever. I will keep it tied in with the clear ties so that it doesn't fall out of the shell while being displayed in package. It's not rocket science.
>>11875106Schizooooo
>>11874962There's always been something that bugs me about the Lightning Collection Zedd I've never been able to articulate. Yeah, it looks good, great even, but there's just something about it... It looks TOO "action figure-y." It is just very blatantly a toy. I don't get it. Is it because he's a naked skinless guy and there's not a lot of ways to hide the joints and stuff? Maybe. I don't know. I don't even have this issue with the Rangers' figures. It's weird.
>>11875170It's cause it's a very "bloated" looking sculpt.
