>>11881396They're not the 1990's brio models you remember, they're die-cast metal models and they are compatible with the universal wooden train track that many brands e.g. brio use. It's very obvious that Thomas wooden railway is never coming back. Mattel never liked TWR, you can tell because when they took over alot of the wooden railway set components and chassis on the models were made of plastic.

>>11881635I think what you are talking about is the ertl diecast range. The brio range and thomas wooden railway are wood. The plastic models were plarail. The ertl range has been around since the 80's and were discontinued in 2004.
