Bandai's new Barabaride. It's like Crush Gear but Beyblade Burst.

So you just crash the cars into each other until one breaks? Won't that get old really fast?
>>
>>11880389
I dunno, crush gear is very fun. If this plays similarly like that it could be good. The only problem is that this one is animeless. It will die pretty fast.

in original Crush Gear, you win by throwing your opponent offstage, flipping it upside down, or if its parts fall off. Barba Ride adds a "burst" mechanic to make destroying machines easier and fun. one thing i dont like about this toy though is that the power is external and the charger is proprietary. that's going to make replacing them a bitch, especially if this motor unit is fragile. also, the weapon seems to be stationary, which kinda takes out the "impact" of it. but we'll see. Crush Gear still has a huge following in Asia, and with Beyblade's success, Bandai would be retarded to not bank on this trend.

There should be a race option, too.

>you win by throwing your opponent offstage, flipping it upside down, or if its parts fall off
i remember a Crush Gear where it was a beetle with a spinning horn to prop itself back up.
>>
>>11880560
leave it to bandai to do the bare minimum required to launch something

>only 3 sculpts
>only 3 front weapons
>only 3 sets of wheels
>weapons are 2,1 distribution in a given body type, instead of 1,1,1
>cloned controller, no colors on it to make them unique
>>
>>11880595
that was Break Go Ga. it flopped because it was "too different" from Crush Gear
>>
>>11881339
actually that particular model was part of Crush Gear. it was designed to prop itself back up until it just couldnt
>>

>controller
I'm pretty sure those are just chargers and you can't control them after you let them go.
>>
>>11881512
probably one of those Nitro parts that's why i don't know much about it. i do remember Shooting Mirage's drill being great for wall recoveries because it acts like a fifth wheel.

Barba Ride gameplay video. stadium feels very small, but i guess the filipino battlers will just use their Crush Gear stadiums for this.

They still play Tamiya cars too. I love them for being stuck in the past

Flips are delightful people. Every one I've met has been a pretty decent lady or fella... or some kind of fusion of the two, it was occasionally unclear.

another video, this time featuring the third machine. looks like burst wins are going to be the most dominant finish in this game, though i think the cars burst way too easily.
>>
>>11884159
I agree with the reply complaining about them bursting in one hit. They should've made it so that each hit just got you closing to bursting them like in Beyblade.
Maybe they actually do work like that, though. Can't tell until they release it, or at least until they upload a longer explanation video.
>>
>>11884913
i believe the problem wouldnt be this exacerbated if the stadium was larger to give the cars more breathing room. like i said, battlers would use their old crush gear stadiums for this anyway.

3rd battle video got uploaded.

Someone got a video of the demo from International Tokyo Toy Show. They definitely need to fix their burstability before releasing them. Can't even start a round before they already start falling apart.

yeah i believe a bigger stadium could fix the burst issue so the cars are given a wider space which reduces any chances of contact.
>>
>>11885902
Literally need an anime.

a rare case of a match ending in a "spin finish". some people said the cars are powered by a supercapacitor, so they die after a couple of seconds. suddenly it makes sense why battles have to be short.

I know some of these words!

battles on a larger Crush Gear stadium. it's funny seeing the cars self-destruct, but at least it looks much better now! just needs a bit of burst resistance and it's good!
