For bad guys, the eyes would light up red and make more menacing sounds and not lower the door. Another way to lower the door is if you manage to hit the lion's face by shooting the cannon. There were also other figures for it that are bought separately like a Dragon with a foot shape at its tail and a Cyclops with a foot-like protrusion on its ball and chain.
