Wish I never gave it away. I mean it's not like I would be playing with it now but I just...I just wish I had it tucked safely away in the back of my closet or something.

Genuinely confused. Are you making fun of Quake or it's knock off, Unreal Tournament?

I had a friend who told me he had something called a "Playstation" when we were in first grade. I legitimately thought it was something like one of these, before I actually went to his house and tried it out. I didn't learn about video games from my parents.

That is weird and you only do so because of FOMO while telling yourself it's for your kids. In the 90s, you would just go to the store with expectations that you could buy something and it would be fun. Those days are over.

It had a cool gimmick. The door opens if you press the right symbol on the red cylinder, the wrong one opens the sphynx and drops a trap on the intruder. The obelisk would light up a different symbol when you press a figure down at its base. Since each figure had holes on different parts of their feet, the mummy figures would get the correct passwords while the explorer figures would get the trap passwords. There were a couple of different themed sets with the same idea.

Nah I just actually collect toys for myself because I'm a huge nerd, but now I'm nearing 30, having a baby soon with my wife, and I plan on letting them play with most of the toys I've collected. Not the statues, of course. No fun in that

Literally never happened. I spent most of my weekends in the 90s with my father going to Toy Soldier shows and there were nothing but adults there.
