I don't think there is a singular worst as there are several that are atrocious for varying reasons, though all of them are American, unsurprisingly. Obviously we're talking collectible toys, not like pound shop shit, but Neca, McFarlane, Hasbro, Mattel, Beast Kingdoms are all absolutely abysmal, Beast Kingdoms being objectively the worst. If you want a succinct example of how the American capitalist mindset is the absolute death of quality, creativity and innovation, show them the disparity between American and Chinese collectible toys, you'd be hard pressed to find a starker example of American decline in any other area that requires no explanation, it's mind boggling.

Wildly overpriced, constant QC issues, significant quality drops from the promo images, tons of abandoned lines, etc. It's no surprise they've had to have several massive sales on their entire inventory. Runner-up would probably be McFarlane in recent years, though they at least started off well with the DCMV line before falling from grace with some of the most anti-consumer practices in the business. The store exclusives, platinum variants that are typically worse and occasionally an entirely different character than the one you bought, declining paint while increasing prices from $20 to $35, artificial scarcity and so on drove a lot of people away.

I'm surprised by the lack of Super7 responses, only a few. I think they got so bad most of /toy/ forgets they even exist
maybe not the worst but the one I have the strongest personal grudge with is Hasbro because I can think of at least three big-name lines I used to be really invested in that they've completely gutted and enshittified in the name of milking a few extra pennies. I feel like the nicest thing I can say about them is that they haven't *completely* fucked up the Beyblade X line but even then that's only because TT has them on an insanely tight leash after what they did with Burst, and even then they've been trying their fucking hardest anyway.
