What is the worst toy company and why?
>>
The worst toy company is the one you like, it's the worst because you like it.
>>
Lego
>>
Sexyice. Business practice and pricing wise.
>>
Does it even matter in 2026, all of them are anti-consumer now anyways
>>
I don't think there is a singular worst as there are several that are atrocious for varying reasons, though all of them are American, unsurprisingly. Obviously we're talking collectible toys, not like pound shop shit, but Neca, McFarlane, Hasbro, Mattel, Beast Kingdoms are all absolutely abysmal, Beast Kingdoms being objectively the worst. If you want a succinct example of how the American capitalist mindset is the absolute death of quality, creativity and innovation, show them the disparity between American and Chinese collectible toys, you'd be hard pressed to find a starker example of American decline in any other area that requires no explanation, it's mind boggling.
>>
>>11886909
Oh and obviously Beast Kingdom are not American, I just wanted to get them in as the worst, but I consider the American ones more impactfully bad for what they represent and the resources they have.
>>
>>11886851
Bandai. Fuck them, that's why.
>>
>>11886947
Truly fascinating. You're like an undead spirit haunting this mostly abandoned board, that waddles out of the sewer pipes every time someone says the magic word.
>>
>>11886953
That's a whole lot of bullshit you typed out just to admit you're a troll.
>>
Neca sucks. Shitty qc, technically considered “non durable goods”, sent the wrong people products worth a few hundred dollars then told them they HAD to send it back, and one of their gay employees was accused of sending shirtless pics to a teenager.
>>
>>11887017
It's anyone's guess at this point

Schizo post
>>
>>11886851
The real answer is one of the smaller companies barely anyone here talks about like Super7. Wildly overpriced, constant QC issues, significant quality drops from the promo images, tons of abandoned lines, etc. It's no surprise they've had to have several massive sales on their entire inventory. Runner-up would probably be McFarlane in recent years, though they at least started off well with the DCMV line before falling from grace with some of the most anti-consumer practices in the business. The store exclusives, platinum variants that are typically worse and occasionally an entirely different character than the one you bought, declining paint while increasing prices from $20 to $35, artificial scarcity and so on drove a lot of people away.
>>
>>11887033
This nigga supports companies that hire pedos
>>
>>11886851
Depends on what factors you mean like product quality, business practices, etc. desu I really dislike brandwarring because the fact is most companies have good and bad things about them. It’s really dishonest to shit on one while acting like another is perfect. That being said, some companies are just so far behind the curve, I think it would be fair to call them objectively bad. McFarlane for example whose figures are just so far behind what has become standard across the industry.

>>11886909
>Japan/China good US bad
Why do importfags always have such a superiority complex? I own a ton of shfs, figmas, revoltechs, snail shells, etc. like almost a hundred of them and am disappointed with a lot of them. It’s worse when considering how expensive they are to still have problems. I get way more satisfaction from my Hasbro Star Wars figures than my anime figures because they’re cheap, still have decent articulation and aesthetics and I can actually play with them without fear of breaking something. And no I’m not poor, no I’m not a hamhand because I know those are the go to insults for smug importfags.
>>
>>11886851
Taking the question seriously and talking only about well stablished brands? Jazwares. All of their figures look like if they were made 10 years ago. Awful plastic and paint too. Joints are either ugly or barely work at all

McFarlane
>Shitty sculpts with weird proportions that have bad and ugly engineering.
>Ridiculously inconsistent pricing where figures no different than their other slop are somehow $60 just because.
>Constantly picking up and dropping licenses left and right, so God help you if they get a property you like because you likely won't get a solid collection out of it unless it's something Todd himself happens to be a fan of.
>Outdated 90's collector mentality like making lower quantities of the figures people actually want.
>Putting stupid chase variants that are painted solid gold and sending them to strictly online distributors, so you would have no idea what you got until it was delivered to your house and opened the box expecting to get the thing you actually ordered, only just to be pissed and the figure is now sold out so no chance of exchanging it.
The only good thing about the last point is there are retards out there dumb enough to pay $100+ for these shit variants so you can at least make money off of them.

I'm surprised by the lack of Super7 responses, only a few. I think they got so bad most of /toy/ forgets they even exist
>>
maybe not the worst but the one I have the strongest personal grudge with is Hasbro because I can think of at least three big-name lines I used to be really invested in that they've completely gutted and enshittified in the name of milking a few extra pennies. I feel like the nicest thing I can say about them is that they haven't *completely* fucked up the Beyblade X line but even then that's only because TT has them on an insanely tight leash after what they did with Burst, and even then they've been trying their fucking hardest anyway.

Their 7" Iron Giant articulates well and looks great. I also lucked into it on sale right around Black Friday, so the price was totally reasonable. I did pass it by when I saw it at Target because I thought $35.99 was way too fucking high.

If Diamond Select hadn't fucked themselves over, I would have preferred another 10 inch to go with the one I already got from my local comic book store a few years back, but Entertainment Earth fucked me over with my pre-order, that they never fulfilled, so I never got the metallic version, and now Ensco (or whatever the fuck that parent company is called), is just sitting on those molds and none of that crap will ever be available again. Certainly not at a fair price.

But the tiny Super7 shit I have bought for my nieces and nephews, like the Sesame Street characters, was also just fine for what it is, on sale for like $5.
>>

I collected 4 necas and so far none of them broke

Premium DNA took preorder money for earthworm jim then went totally radio silent for over a year, then came back asking for more money. And in the meantime the earthworm jims showed up on ali express. That takes the cake in my book.
>>
>>11888066
Not just Earthworm Jim, which they claim are still on the way. They took pre-order money for the next wave of Madballs, Garbage Pail Kids vs Madballs, and Care Bears, but lost the license for them during that period of radio silence. And then refused to refund people for their pre-orders and only offered store credit, so if you have no interest in using your store credit on $85 Contra figures or the supposedly still coming Earthworm Jim figures you are shit out of luck.

I hear NECA all the time in these “worst toy company” threads. Only NECA figs I have are from D&D. I don’t don’t people have valid complaints, but my limited experience with the D&D figs is quite positive so the question I have is if that line is representative of NECA?
>>
>>11888138
i buy a NECA figure at least once a year since around 2011, if not more, and i've never had a bad experience with them. Gargoyles, TMNT, and random movie shit, btw.
>>
>>11888138
>I hear NECA all the time in these “worst toy company” threads.
Yeah man at this point I'm not sure if it's because of the neca schizo that hates them constantly spamming about it or because they're actually bad.
>>
>>11887732
The fact you had to say "so far" just tells you a lot about the state of NECA.
>>
Jazwares circa 2010-2014.
It’s very specific, but this was around the time they got the license to several IPs I was interested in as a teenager
>Sonic
>Regular Show/Adventure Time
>Hanna Barbera
>Nicktooms
Every single one of these lines was absolutely riddled with quality control issues across the board. Bad paint, fragile figures that broke in-box, bad sculpts, lack of characters, etc.

Every time I wanted a Jazwares figure I had to carefully inspect each and every figure on the peg and not find the “best” one, but rather the one that was decidedly the least fucked up. One time I had to buy and return a Sonic character 4 times because it broke straight out of the package every time.
You could say it’s my fault for being an autist and wanting figures from all these cartoons, or for expecting quality from a cheap toy company, but they were my only choice. And frankly, these weren’t premium products meant for adults, so they shouldn’t have been anywhere near as fragile as they were for kids toys. All I did with figures as a teen was pose/display, and Jazwares shit would break anyway.
>>
>>11888222
Are you incapable of reading what that was in response to and understanding why "so far" was said
>>
i say mattel. not that they're necessarily absolute dogshit, but that they could easily be better and choose not to be. they've been responsible for a lot of the lines i collect and ive finally gotten fed up with how much they half ass things, from monster high to wwe to hot wheels and beyond. their dc line fucking sucked and i have more than enough to justify that opinion.

NTA, but the Game of Thrones Legacy line. They were 1:12 scale and "fully" articulated. Well, the joints were made of Doritos so they would often explode when you tried to move them, but they were intended to be movable joints.
And the articulation cuts were often horrible looking. And the likenesses were questionable. Yeah, Funko deserve a mention in this thread just for fumbling what could have potentially been the biggest collector toyline of the 2010s.

I bought their Magic figures and some of the wave 2 GAme of Throne figures, and none of them gave me problems.

Granted, i treated them like they're from the Mythic LEginos toyline, since everyone was complaining about the plastic being brittle.
I forget where they even are now. I think o bought the lion and the orge looking guy from the Magic line, along with the Dothraki guy. I might have bought others, but these were the ones that impressed me... as in, the ywere pretty average.
>>
The worst company is 4 Horsemen.

They started off decently, making generic fantasy toys, army builders with minotaurs, birds, warrior princesses, and gods. Then they wanted to expand on that by making knights and more fantasy creatures, but in 1:18 scale. For whatever reason, they decided to make this Mythic Legion line into 1:12, but they lied by saying that 1:18 scale cost nearly as much as 1:12 scale.

A really stupid lie that fooled nobody and upset their fans, but people let it slide, because 1:12 scale is good too.
Mythic Legion then came out and there was a few problems with QC. Fragile plastics and various paint issues. People sent their emails to get replacements or refunds, which 4H said would take care of. 8 months later, 4H still didn't help everyone and were also ignoring emails. Eventually they started another Kickstarter to make a new wave of figures and they would also put into production older figures to send replacements to people who still needed them.
Of course, this took another year, but plz excuse small indie company.

So over a year later, the next wave of figures comes out and WHOOPS, same problems with bad quality control and fragile plastics. People complain, want replacements, and 4H still has shitty customer service where they act too slow when they're not ignoring you. Months of waiting, but eventually they get to everyone ,because they need to get on everyone's good side, because they want another Kickstarter because they can't produce a toyline on their own. They constantly need to beg their fans for money to produce anything. Most companies who go through Kickstarter usually make enough money afterward to get loans like a proper business does and produces toys on their own, thus having a steady stream of new toys on a quarterly or yearly basis without begging their fans.
>>
So 5 years after their first kickstarter, Mythic LEgion/4H lost about half their fanbase due to constant poor QC, poor customer service, and requiring you to pay up front (12+ months ahead) for every wave. They start a sci fi line too that sold so poorly that it killed a lot of its retailer support, because they were stuck with a ton stock that they needed to sell off at half price.
2 years later and the latest batch new toys is so awful that nearly every figure in that wave crumbles apart. People are crying and bitching on forums everywhere, and then their posts start getting deleted because admins were asked by 4H to delete posts showing broken figures, because they don't want everyone to know how bad the problem is.

4H then makes a damage control streaming video, where they're clearly upset at their fans posting their broken figures publically, and the two douchebags in the video are mocking people who break their toys. They make sarcastic remarks about how they can't help people who post their broken toys in forums and how instead they should be sending all issues privately to customer service. They keep making "jokes" and "helpful comments" for about an hour, but the video only stays up for less than 24 hours, because the comments are full of angry customers and even super fanboys who think they went too far.
So the video is deleted and they make another video where they don't say that they're sorry for being assholes and instead say people misunderstood them. The community dramatically implodes in less than a week and most places become a ghost town, yet somehow 4H retained enough customers to keep going to this day, still having massive QC problems.
However the fans that are left no longer want to upset 4H, they don't post the QC errors as much anymore... but somethings impossible to hide, since retailers need to be more public about it.

>Most companies who go through Kickstarter usually make enough money afterward to get loans like a proper business does and produces toys on their own
Is that why Spero Toys have had 5 Kickstarters for their toylines alone?
Or Wandering Planet Toys have had 7?
Or Marauder Gun Runners have had 9 Kickstarters?
And if we go outside of action figures, most TTRPG companies like Dwarven Forge keep relying on the Kickstarter model despite the fact that unpainted miniatures are usually insanely profitable.
Nevermind that companies like IDW, McFarlane and Playmates have used Kickstarter despite being well established companies with a retail presence and/or their own online store.
>buh-buh-but that was different because Todd was only using them as a preorder store despite having his own crowdfunding platform and website he could have used to beg for money because he couldn't get loans for Spawn toys that no retailer wanted

cool story, brah.

>>11889678
With every single one of the companies you listed, you can currently buy their toys, at any moment. You don't need to give them an interest free loan to be able to buy their toys and they always planned to sell their shit at retail, unlike 4H. And with 4H, most of the retailers who carried their product had to make their orders along with the normal fans, because they didn't give wholesale prices. Hence retailers who carried Mythic Legion figures pricing their shit at almost double 4H's prices, like some dirty scalper.
I know that Spero gave retailers wholesale prices and MGR also gives wholesale prices too (but they're incredibly niche so almost no one carries their stuff). 4H took almost 6 years to give retailer support, but their prices are complete shit still, because they're greedy fucks.

Speaking of greedy fucks, here's another reason why 4H is the worst toy company in business: they're charging a lot of money for toys whose engineering is stuck in 2002. Outdated joints and they're charging as much or more than other tini-tiny toy companies who use modern articulation.
Everyone gave 4H a pass for their articulation because plz-understand-that-they're-a-small company, yet all other companies who were even smaller, with no credentials, have all released toys with more articulation and with far superior QC too.
>>

There's no goalpost movement. Goalpost movement requires for something to be proven false, but nothing was proven wrong, so the former statements still stand.

All these statements still hold true:
4H lied to make their Mythic Legions line in the more expensive 1:12 scale.
4H had continuous QC problems, that went unchecked for over well over 10 years.
4H continues to use brittle plastics because they're too cheap to upgrade.
4H is greedy as fuck, so they didn't have wholesale prices for retailers for over 5 years (and their wholesale prices are still insane) and requiring their customers to give the interest free loans for every single round of production
4H had shitty customer service and their employees have shit on their fanbase for complaining about the Mythic Legion line has poor QC and brittle plastics.

And just because i brought up how 4H cheaps out on their toys by using 2002-tier engineering on modern toys in a later post doesn't invalidate the latter statements. It's an addendum, because there's a character limit and 4H has a long history of being unapologetic fuck ups, thus 4H being the worst toy company.
>>
Reminder that Subjectanon is a retard who hamhanded a Mythic Legions and now dedicates his life to screaming about how 4H ARE TEH SUXXORZ and posting the same stolen pics ad infinitum. They have single joints everywhere, like it's still 2002, yet they've been charging for their toys as if they were a modern Japanese figure.
I guess their only saving grace is the fact that Japanese toys have increased their prices much more than 4H. So from 2015 - 2022, they were supremely overpriced for what they are. Today, they're only just overpriced.

Anyway, because of their 2002-tier engineering, most of their figures couldn't get 90° joint movement out of their limbs. Even after updating their bodies a couple of years ago (still single joints everywhere), they can only get maybe a little better than 90° depending on how plain the sculpt is. Embarassingly, they can't hold their swords correctly because of the 2002-era joints, whereas most lines have been able to hold their swords in front of them since 2005.

I think most people were willing to overlook the Mythic Legion's flaws back in 2015-2019, since there were almost no fantasy lines, so beggars couldn't be choosers. Since 2020, a lot of fantasy lines have appeared in 1:12 scale and this is why the current fantasy general is mostly about those other fantasy toylines, despite Mythic Legion fanboys taking up residence there after the Mythic Legion General imploded and died after 4H insulted their fans for complaining about the awful QC.

4H definitely doesn't deserve your money for stuck in 2002 toylines, because they're greedy as fuck and hate their fans because they demand replacements instead of accepting the awful QC.

>despite Mythic Legion fanboys taking up residence there after the Mythic Legion General imploded and died
Literally the opposite of what happened; the Mythic Legions general expanded to include other fantasy lines, because a bunch of ML-adjacent lines had popped up from 4H's success and it made more sense to welcome them into the fold rather than split them into their own generals.
Also I find it kinda funny you'll claim Mythic Legions' articulation is unacceptable yet defend shit like McFarlane's Halo line (where the most poseable figures have worse articulation than the average ML) and the ancient ToyBiz LOTR junk (where you were lucky if you got outward motion on hips). Smells like hamhands poorfag cope to me.
>>
>>11890309
LOL, that's a nice false memory you created to cope.

The Mythic Legion General became a ghost town after 4H made their damage control videos to insult their fans after the newest Mythic Legion wave came riddled with air pockets.

It was such a ghost town that one of the few remaining 4H fanboys gave up making Mythic Legion Generals and started the generic fantasy general that exists now. So that fanboy has to include all the other fantasy lines into one General, whereas before each of those other lines had their own sporadic threads.

>b-b-but everything you like is shit!
your butthurt is showing by creating this cope.

BTW, that LotR line is exactly what i mean when i say that Mythic Legions have 2002-tier engineering. Both the Mythic Legions and LotR lines can't pose for shit, so you're basically buying them for their designs. Yet the LotR lines has an excuse for not having modern articulation, because they were made in the early 00s.
Mythic Legions has no excuse for the shitty engineering, because not only is it currently in production but they cost more than better made modern figures.

Again, this is why 4H is the worst toy company.

pic of the youtube comments from their now deleted damage control video. 4H never fired the assholes in the video, because they were just repeating what the 4H owners said and thought

Sure thing, Eric Treadaway.... or maybe you're Cornboy?
I can see one of the founders for 4 Horsemen left your company, because it's full of assholes like yourself.

I also like you're pretending that you even fired your employees who made the damage control video, because you can see them doing videos here for at least after they insulted your fanbase. https://www.youtube.com/@FourHorsemenStudios4H/streams

>one off incident
there's a reason why the Mythic LEgion General went from having 80-100+ unique IPs from 2015-2019 to ~50 by 2020 and then no longer existing after 4H shat on all their fans 2 years ago.

Over 5 years of brittle plastics, bad paint apps, and customer service that takes over a year to get anything done is why the Mythic LEgion fanbase was halved. Asshole employees repeating what their bosses think in a live stream got rid almost everyone else, hence leaving you personally needing to come here to shill for your company.
>>
>>11890939
If it wasn't a one off incident, why is every broken toy youve posted from the same wave? If they were so prone to using brittle plastics before that one wave, and there were so many more fans prior to 2024, and so many more people posting in the threaded here, you should have pics of hundreds of broken toys from the first 8 years of the line. Hundreds. Not just the two you hamfisted.

/toy/ was never a good place to get toy images in the first place, because of various stalkers we have on /toy/, so people rarely posted their images here post-2016 (around the time tripfags disappeared, which led to trolls starting to pick on people with noticeable rooms/collections) and i didn't bother saving images until our third archive died.

So I'm sorry that i don't meticulously save everything that went on before, because I didn't know that /toy/ would become so depopulated that everyone else who rage quit the MYthic Legion line would also disappear and all that's left are shills like you who will claim that 4H's decade long history of shitty customer service and awful QC didn't happen.

I've said this before, but I really do wonder when you'll start to claim that their damage control video where 4H's employees insulted their customers for taking it public that a wave was completely botched never happened, because i never bothered to have saved the video before they deleted it.

BTW, when did you start collecting 4H figures? Before 2019 or afterward? Because I'll forgive you for not knowing how many complaints there were when the Mythic Legion General was actually really active with around 100 posters per thread.
Like i said, after 2020, at least half the posters from the Mythic Legion General stopped putting up with 4H's shit and quit posting. They pissed off a lot of their fanbase from too many fuck ups. Pic related.
>>
>>11891027
>So I'm sorry that i don't meticulously save everything that went on before
Saying that while reposting a screenshot of a post from 2017? Nah bro, I don't buy it. You do meticulously save everything. We've all seen you repost the shit you've meticulously saved over the years. You even have a meticulous filename system so you can retrieve a pic at a moment's notice whenever you get into an argument with someone.
>/toy/ was never a good place to get toy images in the first place
>Because I'll forgive you for not knowing how many complaints there were
If that is the case, and you are obsessed enough to repost a screenshot of a post from 2017 about Power Lords, you should be able to find some of these hundreds of imageless posts complaining about broken toys in the archive. If there were hundreds of anons posting in the threads here buying the toys, and a 2.5% failure rate is considered abnormally high, you should be able to find at least a few posts every wave of people saying they broke a figure.
Unfortunately I could easily say they don't exist when they do, which is why the burden of proof lies with you.

>not recognizing it's from the archive
And if you look up when the image was made, it's from 2020, which is where i saved it from. Do note that almost all images from that thread won't load, because that' from the third archive dying and our fourth archive had trouble saving everything. And the only images that load on that page are ones that have been reposted since then (the archive does some retroactive magic)

So how come you're not answering when you started collecting 4H figures? Is it because you're some newfag, thus have no idea what the 4H threads were like before 2020, when the Mythic Legion General actually used to be alive AND had a constant 80+ posters in them? Because it sure sounds like you only started coming to /toy/ when the Mythic Legion General became depopulated thanks to 4H fucking over their customers for years and years.

So even you recognize how pathetic the Mythic Legion General actually was when you first started, since the General barely got anymore discussion due to low amount of posters.
Which again, the Mythic Legion General no longer exists, thanks to 4H insulting all their fans for not putting up with an entire wave being made of pringles potato chips.

Pic is from someone making a guide on how NOT to break the Ogres. This is a great example of how 4H has shitty quality control, because the joints were tearing themselves apart because 4H rushes shit out instead of testing tolerances. This affected all the figures that used this body and the poster who made this guide cried that he wasn't going to take images anymore because it was "used against 4H" because it proves how often 4H fucks up constantly. So posters like him are why the last few fans today won't post any fuck ups that used to be commonly reported.

Again, this is why 4H is the worst toy company.
>>
>>11891100
>not recognizing it's from the archive
Herpa derpa why would I not recognize that its from the archive and then suggest that you retrieve all of these imaginary complaints from the archive?
>Do note that almost all images from that thread won't load
Which is why I said you could easily post screenshots of the imageless complaints. The text of those posts is still archived. People usually describe what happened when a figure breaks.
>So how come you're not answering when you started collecting 4H figures?
Because I answered it the last time you used that question in an attempt to deflect from proving your claims.
How come you aren't posting proof of 8 years of brittle plastics resulting in broken figures prior to 2024? 100+ posters x 19 waves x 10 figures per wave on average? Statistically, there should be at least dozens of posts from anons who snapped an arm or a leg, even if the failure rate was only 1%.
>So posters like him are why the last few fans today won't post any fuck ups that used to be commonly reported
They should be easy to find in the archive if they were commonly reported.

Ok retard. Just like how I'm supposed to find images of broken Mythic Legion figure without seeing if what they posted is a broken Mythic Legion figure?

And i like how you have to ignore the fact that people had to make a GUIDE to not break their Mythic Legion figures. We fucking need to treat the figures like GLASS and carefully study the engineering because of 4H's reputation of BRITTLE FIGURES.
No toyline gets shit like that if they didn't have a history of being shit

OH, and that earlier image about Power Lords i posted? The context for that is another reason why 4H is the worst toy company.
4H got the license for Power Lords and they ran out of money to make the toyline. So because their Mythic Legions line was so successful they wanted to do a fundraiser to make a full Power Lords line. But because 4H are greedy assholes, instead of using newbie friendly Kickstarter like they did with the birds and Mythic LEgion line, they decided to do it on their own website. Fucking retarded, because NOBODY but their fanboys trust them.
They also have no reputation outside of them and Hemanfags, which are ~1:12 lines. Power Lords was 1:18 scale and 4H, being the retards that they are, didn't advertise on any of the 1:18 scale fan sites nor communities. And to prove how retarded they are, 4H also didn't bother to tell anyone what their goal was or even a way to monitor how many orders or how much money they raised. So of course the fundraiser failed and 4H wasted everyone's time and their own money on getting the PL license
4H are that incompetent, and again, this pissed off many 4H fanboys, hence the MYthic LEgion General having half its userbase by 2020

pic of people summarizing the Mythic Legion General, because everyone was getting fed up with 4H by 2017. note the shitting on their customer service and quality control, because 4H earned its reputation as the worst toy company for over a decade

again, the fact someone needed to make a guide, because he knows how shit the plastic is is proof that 4H has a history of shitty plastics.
NEvermind he wouldn't need to make a guide if the plastic on that ogre wasnt shit in the first place. Most toylines you can just force the joints without fear.

>you do meticulously save screenshots from the archive
They don't exist, retard, because we went through 3 archives and older pics weren't saved. I only started saving shit when shills like yourself started deny things that happened a week/month/year/years ago. So newfags like yourself can't deny that 4H has had a shitty reputation for a decade straight, pic related.

The Power Lords png i saved because i thought that was funny. The ogre image i saved because i have that figure and wanted to prevent the shitty plastic that 4H uses from ripping itself apart. That image of anons complaining just now? I saved just a minute before posting it, because i wanted to look up the Power Lords png posts to get mroe context. Keywords: lack of communication. same as pic.
What a coincidence that that search phrase turns up a lot of shitting on 4H, because they havea long history of fucking up and making their fans angry.

You can't name a worse company than 4 Horsemen.

Also, i like how the last poster in pic is being an asshole and playing up FOMO. It's no wonder the MYthic LEgion General was dying by 2020, because it's a ton of people dealing with shills and figures riddled with QC errors because 4H rushes production to profit more on their overpriced 2002-era-engineered figures.

No, it is proof that the ogres had a design flaw. Proof that figures from the Coliseum wave having brittle plastics would be posts complaining that a figure from that wave broke.
>They don't exist, retard, because we went through 3 archives and older pics weren't saved
The posts are still archived. That why I have told you TWICE that you could post the IMAGELESS COMPLAINTS from the archive. The archive goes back to at least when the first Legions Kickstarter arrived in backers hands. Post those IMAGELESS COMPLAINTS of people breaking elbow and knees and hips on those figures, and then in every wave for the next 8 years, if you want people to take you claim seriously. The COMMON COMPLAINTS that should be very easy to find since they are so COMMON.

So even if i was stupid enough to waste my time, you'll make some other excuse.
Sorta like how you're ignoring I've been posting years worth of QC issues and shitty plastic examples that the Mythic Legion line was having for the past decade.
Multiple anons in 2017 >>11891137 >>11891152 reporting their issues with the Mythic Legions line having shitty paint, molding and plastic issues, plus complaining about shills like you trying to deny the facts that are right in your face.

Again, if you look at my screenshots, they're all literally come from a single search based on the Power Lords screenshot from earlier, which is an old image i saved in 2020. I was curious what else was said in taht thread, because i forgot. And within that search (again, the keywords for that search: "lack of communication") i found all those other posts. Took about 10 minutes to read them and a few seconds to screenshot from the pages i opened.

Like i said, I'm not going to bother jumping through your stupid hoops, because i already proved that you're a newfag and 4H is the worst company ever by giving many examples from many years about their shitty customer service, their brittle plastics, employees who unapologetically insult their customers, 4H being made up of retards who can't into business, awful paint apps, and dozen more examples.

You can keep making up stupid goalposts, but you can't even defend anything they've done in the past and even into recent times, like this bear that came out this year. They still keep on using brittle plastics, just like all the toys I've posted from my own collection in 2015, 2017, and 2020.

And people like you keep on rewarding them with your money and defending their trash, despite giving you brittle shit for over a decade and literally insulting you. This is why their newest MYthic Legion figures are still made of brittle plastics

OR are you not a retarded little bitch, but one of those retarded fuckers who likes fucking what's left of your fanbase? funny that you mention their streaming videos, because more people used to watch the 4 Horsemen streams before their employees took a shit on all their customers for publicly complaining about their Mythic Legions breaking.
Before taking a shit on their customers, their videos were regularly getting a thousand+ viewers. Since then, they're hovering from sub-200 to 700 viewers most of the time.

So it's pretty clear that they lost half their fanbase 2 years ago, which was probably half the fanbase before 2020. Again, the Mythic Legion General was regularly getting 80-100+ posters until 2020. After that, it was around 50 posters per General until the infamous damage control video where 4H's employees (who still work there) mocked their customers because the QC was ridiculously bad (pic related). Afterward, the Mythic Legion General was killed off, because it was such a ghost town.

Anyway, to say that it's such a success today is a laugh, because no one actually knows how many figures they sell.
Everything that they make requires an interest free loan from their customers, because 4H has such bad credit they can't get loans from banks to make toys on their own.
And we know that their in-stock sales (where they sell remainders) take even longer post-2020 to "sell out". Since 2020 4 Horsemen just says something "sold out" to create FOMO, and they regularly put those "sold out" figures on sale at conventions or back on their next in-stock sale. Before 2020, sales took less than a day (if not minutes) for everything to actually sell out. Gone, unless they put them back in production.

4H is the worst company, who are only kept in business by a smattering of retarded fanboys who enjoy being shit on by 4H and love 2002-era engineering on their overpriced brittle toys.

I'm talking about overall.
If you want to do this scientifically, the first 15 streams had ~3100 viewers on average. The last 15 streams are ~1700 viewers on average. Shock and awe: ~half.
If you look at the top 10 rows (33 videos) of their most popular videos, 2/3rds are before 4H decided to shit on their fanbase for daring to complain about their toys being full of air pockets, making their Mythic Legions as prone to snapping as a dorito.
Again, their popularity has halved and probably halved before that due to 4 Horsemen constantly fucking up year after year after year.

>>11893232
I have talked about 2026, but since the Mythic Legion General is dead, there's not as much talk about Mythic Legion like there used to be.
Considering we have retarded fanboys who have admitted they won't post pictures of their broken Mythic LEgion figures anymore, they're also obviously avoiding talking about big issues like the Bodvar bear (a 2026 release) coming broken in package, PLUS people reporting theirs breaking after taking it out of the package, pic related.

And i talk about 4 Horsemen's past because it's to show their history of fucking over their customers and how they continue NOT fixing known issues and making the same mistakes for their most current figures. They don't want to fix their fuck ups, just like how they're unapologetic about insulting their fans. They're completely retarded assholes, taking advantage of the last few fans they have left who are obviously also retards.
And we know that they have far fewer fans, because their sales take longer than ever and they need to push FOMO by pretending their toys have sold out too.

No other company is as shitty as 4 Horsemen.

>>>11893237 nothing is facts if i don't agree with them

fucking retard logic

So now you're stuck with another figure that will also break on you (post related >>11890939 ) or you needing to treat like your Mythic Legion like it's made of glass because it's still from the same batch of fucked up QC errors. OR you need to put it on shelf, never to touch it like 4H recommends.

>>11893280
>b-b-but the rare exceptions!
supreme retard who doesn't understand math. The fact is, on average, more people used to care about what 4H was doing thus getting over 3100 views per video and half of those viewers stopped watching their videos after getting insulted by 4H, thus getting around 1700 view per video.

And the bottom ten rows (33 videos total) for the least popular are all mostly after 4H decided to shit on their fans. 28/33. Scrolling further, it's ridiculous how the vast majority of the 300-500 view videos are mostly just shit from after. It's a very hard drop from before those asshoels insulted their fanbase

Worst company ever or most retarded company ever?

BTW, two of the lowest viewed videos from before 4H took a shit on their customers was to talk about skate board decks and a 3 second video to wish people a happy thanskgving

In fact, their customer service has gotten worse, because they've outright have said they hate their customers.

>b-b-but what about their upcoming figures!?!
Why would anyone want to buy more of their upcoming figures if they constantly have proven to release products with brittle plastics and rushing products out without quality control to save a nickel?

And again, since you fanboys have admitted you don't want to post your problems on /toy/ anymore, why should anyone trust the bullshit you retards say? You can pretend that the newest wave is the greatest ever, while you're busy fixing 4H's shitty QC problems on your newest figures.

Hasbro, but not necessarily because their products are the worst but because they make everything unnecessarily difficult for absolutely no reason through their incompetence.
They keep increasing prices on flimsy excuses, don't acknowledge bad quality control, make toys hard to get and hard to classify, split waves into exclusives, are slaves to walmart, haven't fixed their distribution in ages to the point it's excepted of them, waste resources on stupid children toylines children don't want when they could focus on making collector lines more durable, etc.

I could mention some frustrating company like Evolution Toys, or a low quality line nobody expects anything from like Lanard, or the many small kickstarter companies mentioned here, but there are perfectly good reasons they have those flaws.
Hasbro just makes every wrong decision you could imagine at every turn they get to make one.

Given he went from 1994 to around 2024 without doing so to his toy customers? Yeah it's actually pretty surprising. He tended to always keep toy prices down. fanboys don't give a shit about flaws. They only want to defend said products, even if the company who makes those products literally hates them... like 4 Horsemen and the Mythic Legion line. Fanboys like >>11894459 will post anywhere and everywhere, making up lies and just constantly trying to start fights, because they can't actually defend 4H's retarded business model.

So >>11894989 is lucky that the only flaws are some scale, accessory, and engineering problems (who makes that line anyway?).

The Mythic Legion line has bigger problems and 4 Horsemen has literally told the people who buy their Mythic Legions not to take their toys out of the package and/or leave them on a shelf if they don't want to break the brittle plastics of their toys.
Mythic Legions isn't an actual toyline if they're too delicate to be played with. One of the newest figures has such brittle plastics that the figure came broken in the package.
•Mythic Legions is billed as 1:12, but it's more like 1/11, because it's supposed to be compatible with Mattel's non-scale Heman shit.
•The articulation is stuck in 2002, because 4H wants to make their toys as cheaply as possiblem, despite their figures costing as much as Japanese collector lines.
•Because they're made as cheaply as possible, each wave is rushed through production, skipping quality control measures and testing.
•said rushing means toys have come with paint that scrapes off easily, extremely tight joints that twists the plastic off, very loose joints to the point figures constantly fall down, air bubbles in the plastic (prone to breaking), paint apps being poor or missing, features missing

This shit has been going on for over 10 years straight, and despite losing at least half its fanbase, 4h continues fucking over its remaining customers because they learned that these last few fanboys don't care, even after being shit on in a damage control video 4H made.
>>
>>11895050
the figures are legitimately out of scale with eachother for a fortnite line. you would know this if you actually bothered to know anything about toys. its a fortnite line and anyone that knows anything about it can tell you the issues immediately no matter how much you ignore reality.

How is a NECA employee grooming children off topic when it's a thread about bad toy companies?
The question is what are the worst companies and why - NECA QC, customer service, attempted defrauding of customers and tons of FTC violations.

Why are you gaslighting this is off topic?
>>
>>11895321
Why are you claiming it's lies when hundreds of people have seen it online and talked about it?

The only strange behavior is you coming irrationally to the defense of a company and gaslighting anything about it someone says.

Do you work for NECA?

If so, can you explain the attempted federal fraud the company threatened to their customers?
Or explain to the parents of the children abused by an employee why their kids will have to live with trauma the rest of their adult lives?

Look man let's keep this on topic at least and you should say something related to the subject of the thread which I have been doing.
>>
>>11895332
You just keep claiming I'm doing exactly what you're doing.

Please stop derailing the thread and actually contribute something.

Anyways back to the subject at hand -
Does anyone know what ever happened with the sewers they sent out? Did NECA make everyone who paid for them whole?

It's interesting because some of the newer figures definitely have a little better of a plastic mix but others not so much.

Definitely one of those companies where it's a hard sell to get me to get anything new.

There areTHREE lies in this post

>yea they have improved
First lie
You say this shit and they haven't improved hence all the photos in this thread showing broken Mythic Legion figures, shitty QC errors, that have happened on a near yearly basis over a decade.

>the generals here do very well
Second lie.
The Mythic Legion General used to have around 100 posters on an almost weekly basis from 2015 til around 2020. The Mythic Legion General slowly petered out until it was getting around 50 posters by 2020, due to the constant amount of people bitching about the contant amount of quality control problems the Mythic Legion line had and 4H's customer service being shit. Nevermind 4H fucking over their fans too, by their own stupid lies and poor business decisions (1:18 scale prices and fucking up the Power Lords launch).
Anyway, in 2024, the Mythic Legion General died, due to 4H insulting their customers for complaining about the shitty QC (an infamous nearly hour long stream on youtube), and one of you shills needed to create a generic fantasy General where the majority of the talk is about other fantasy toylines now.
A dead general is the opposite of it doing "very well"

>the same recycled photos from five years ago
Third lie.
There's only a few photos from before 2022. Most of them are from a 2024 wave that came with air pockets that made the figures extermely brittle. Since the Mythic Legion General died in 2024 and you guys were angry that your own broken Mythic Legion photos were "being used against you", you shills stopped posting the problems with your figures. So there's dearth of broken Mythic LEgion figures, unless i go outside of /toy/ to find people bitching about 2025 and 2026 Mythic Legion figures having QC problems, which you can find here >>11891190 here >>11891556 and here >>11893273

so if trendmasters has figures on a shelf, this means they own the license? despite trendmasters being bankrupt and out of business for almost 35+ years? great logic there lil dude.
>>
>>11895828

>>

>>
>>11895821
Not for action figures. Just for bobbleheads and plushies, which is a completely different license to the one held by Bandai, Playmates, Super7, Hiya, and Goodsmile. And even the Goodsmile license is likely only for "superdeformed poseable figures" or some such because that's how the licenses are usually worded.
Either way, no company is paying for a license to make action figures and then not making them while 5 other companies make action figures for that license. Anyone that believes they would do that and expects the rest of us to believe this bullshit is a full blown retard.
>>
>>11895860
They stepped back so Playmates would stay off them doing as they saw fit with TMNT. It's literally why they were able to start getting away from the 2-pack system and why the line grew as vast as it did.
>>
>>11895868
Yes, they kept renewing a license for action figures and then deciding they wouldn't make action figures for that license because Playmates would let them make Ninja Turtles figures that the licensor had already given them the license to make.
>>
>>11895868
that's funny, cause viacom was letting them do it, not playmates. because, you know, playmates doesn't own the ninja turtles
>>
>>11895879
That's funny, cause Playmates was able to bring Super7's shit to a stall when they wanted, even force them to make drastic changes. You are adorably ill informed on the goings on with companies and the deals they make.
>>
Neca is garbage and only the biggest faggots bend over and suck the company’s balls.
>>
>>11894989
So bizarre to make all new sculpts and still get the scale wrong.
>>
>>11895890
>>
>>11895884
>Playmates was able to bring Super7's shit to a stall when they wanted
That's because Super7 were using the exact same designs as the vintage TMNT line, which was the justification they used to complain to Viacom.
>>
>>11895884
and everything you said is null and void, because playmates isn't some mafia tier bullshit. viacom owns the turtles and gets the final say.
>>
>>11895898
It is for Fortnite figures, which those are.
>>
>>11895902
And NECA kept paying for the Godzilla action figure license after getting Playmates off their back?
Yeah, your story doesn't add up. Only a retard that was bad with money would try to claim a company would do that.
>>
>>11895907
They not the characters, they are Fortnite skins based on Fortnite game models with Fornite branding intended to be purchased by Fortnite players. Sorry, you don't know what you're talking about.
>>
>>11895916
like they did with godzilla! oh....wait...
>>
>>11895918
and not the fact that ben cooper's license is seperate from godzillas. mhmmm.
>>
>>11895916
>They only use the Fortnite style as a vehicle to get new versions of these characters out.
And those versions come from Fortnite. The figures are not accurate to the source material. They are literally made for Fortnite players and marketed and sold as such.
>>
>>11895913
No, you keep lying and trying to pretend that NECA still holds the license to make Godzilla action figures.
I mean, NECA announced that they no longer had the license to make Godzilla action figures right when the TMNT line really took off. So you expect us to believe that NECA actually renewed the license, didn't announce it to anyone, then made a deal with Playmates to not make Godzilla figures to keep them off their back, then continued to pay money to renew the license for half a decade, and then still not make Godzilla action figures after Playmates and everyone lost the TMNT license rendering the deal with Playmates null and void?
If you wanted to claim NECA decided to not renew the Godzilla action figure license in 2020 which helped keep Playmates off their back regarding TMNT, that would make sense. But you are claiming that they do have the Godzilla license and continued to renew it despite the fact that they weren't making Godzilla figures due to some super secret under the table deal.
I'm not trolling, I'm trying to make you wake up and realize your claims are batshit insane.
>>
>>11895922
Then they should be able to put out Fortnite Godzilla without a problem since they apparently have the license to do so.
>>
>>11895935
They are not the correct height within the context of their source material. The Ninja Turtles have been many different heights. NECA have released many different sized turtles. These are not in scale with their other Fortnite figures. They are out of scale. These are toys are for Fortnite players. Troll elsewhere, ban-evader.
>>
>>11895935
Also, saying "wrong again" does not prove me wrong? Everything I said there is correct. Screeching "wrong" is not proof nor is it a defense. You're literally just troll.
>>
>>11895936
I understand it, which is why I don't believe it. It's like a primitive Aztec tribe's explanation for where the sun goes during an eclipse. It's pants-on-head retarded to anyone that understands how a business operates. There is no way in hell Joel Weinshanker looked at the balance sheet, saw an expense for a license that NECA weren't making figures for, and allowed it to continue to be renewed for half a decade instead of letting it lapse.
>>
>>11895947
Well, what you don't understand, is that NECA sister companies and production of non-toy products like bobbleheads means that they actually have the action figure license and are simply choosing not to make them, despite the fact that every Target and Walmart carries competing Godzilla figures from both Playmates and Bandai. NECA simply chooses to not make the products they pay for the rights to make. You see, I know everything, and you? Haha, well, you know nothing.

Oh? You want proof? Uhhhh you're a troll.

This is /toy/ not /merch/. Nobody cares about bobbleheads and fridge magnets here. They no longer have the license to make Godzilla action figures because that is a separate license from plushies and anal beads and whatever other crumbs they are thrown.
>>
>>11896069
Bobbleheads are not toys. I didn't say plushies and Ben Cooper garbage weren't toys, so I'm not wasting my time on a retard that needs to resort to strawman arguments to distract from the fact that NECA no longer have the license to produce Godzilla action figures. Not figures of children wearing a vinyl smock with Godzilla printed on it. Not plushies. Action figures of the kaiju known as Godzilla.
>>
>>11896089
>You'd be surprised what's out there.
I went outside and there were no Godzilla action figures on the shelves at Walmart or Target. I went back inside and went on The Neca Store and there were no Godzilla action figures on there. Neither of these things surprised me, because NECA do not have the license to make Godzilla action figures. They do have a license that allowed them to make an action figure of a child wearing a vinyl smock with Godzilla printed on it, but that is not a Godzilla action figure.

>a company who lost half it's fanbase by 2020 and then another half of its fanbase in 2024 by making a video to shit on its customers is actually doing well
ok retard.

And we know that it's at least half, because their videos used to get 2x as many viewers until they decided to mock their customers for the Mythic Legions being made of crumbly plastic in 2024.

>b-b-but they keep on making products!
Everything is made to order, because whatever fanboys they have left keep on giving them interest free loans.
Given that we know that their videos get 50% the amount of viewers, it's a given that their sales have also dropped by half. Nevermind their remainder sales now take almost two weeks for their figures to "sell out" (they just say they ran otu of stock, because they put the same figures up on sale months later), whereas before 2020 they'd sell their remainders in less than an hour (actually sold out, because unless they put a new production order in place for the next year, the sold out figures wouldn't reappear again).

So 4H is not only the worst company because they keep on cheaping out on quality control, year after year, but because they'er assholes and liars.

If you like that they keep on selling more new toys, good for you, but 4 Horsemen has lost at least half its fanbase, because they got tired of shitty quality figures.

i actually do work a real job where i edit copy correctly and accurately every day, unlike neca. we have professional standards at my job. i even have standards for my posts, which is why i made sure to correct a previous typo. neca can't even do that for their products. that's why they're the worst toy company.
>>
>>11896665
Well, since they don't print the boxes while the tooling is being made and then store them for months during preproduction, they DID have plenty of time to change the erroneous information on the packaging.
There is no excuse for not being able to change one digit on a box.

>dumb lies
2024 pictures aren't from ten years ago.
Most of the images I've been posting are from 2 years ago, 1 year ago, and 6 months ago.
Again, it's proof that 4H is the worst company because they've been ripping off their customers by cheaping out on quality control and using the cheapest plastics for over a decade.

Not a coincidence that it's when 4H was struggling, btw. Before 2015, they were able to afford to make toylines on their own terms, without asking for interest free loans from their fanbase.

pic is of them rushing production on their toys, so the mold lines not being fully shaved away, which impedes on articulation and the paint not being properly masked.

>>
>>11896706
I know that 12 months is plenty of time to change 1 digit. Hasbro even managed to put a sticker over erroneous figure contents back in 2002, and that accessory was removed so late in production that some of the inner trays still had a slot for the removed accessory.
And they had an even stricter deadline since it was a figure for the first wave of a newer movie line.

The tooling stage is how far into release? That was when they knew the hands wouldn't be included.
The printing stage is how far into the release? That is latest point it should have been noticed and corrected. The only reason it wasn't noticed was because the copywriter didn't do their job properly.

I think NECA is the worst toy company because they say their toys are "for decoration purposes only"

It is a problem. If I buy a box of *anything* and the tiny number at the bottom of the box says it contains a certain weight or number of contents, and the actual contents of the box are less than what is stated, it is a problem. Only somebody trying to do damage control for the company that produced it would argue otherwise.
>>
>>11896794

>the toys are pictured with the four hands online
they're actually only pictured with two alternate hands. and they only include two alternate hands. what they're pictured with online has nothing to do with what the package says when you find it on the shelf in the store.
>>
>>11896802
shame the text said six
>>
>>11896794
Just because you don't care and have such pathetically low standards doesn't mean the rest of us should.
If my company makes fasteners, and designs a label for a box of 1000 bolts, but then only can find boxes that fit 50 bolts, we change the number on the label. It doesn't matter that everybody can tell the transparent plastic case definitely doesn't contain 1000 bolts. You label your products correctly.
Like you said, NECA don't care.
>>
>>11896802
the two hands attached by default are not alternate hands. they are not included in the piece count. they are part of the figure.
>>
>>11896802
>They include four alternate hands
The picture shows two alternate hands. The ones on the figure aren't alternate hands. A figure that comes with an alternate heads contains an extra head that can replace the one on the figure, plus the one that is already on the figure.
Everyone knows this.
>>
>>11896788
>"for decoration purposes only"
well at least they admit it

>>11896809

Yes, the company was hypothetical because you'd be hard pressed to find another company that is so lazy that they refused to change the list of contents on a package when the decision to omit the contents was made so early in the preproduction phase.

Worst company in terms of what? QC? Distribution? Customer service? Trolling fans? Ripping off suppliers? Unfulfilled preorders? Not paying off debts? Shafting employees? Or otherwise shady business practices?

There's only one company that covers all those bases and more.

Shocker Toys

Fortunately they're dead and I don't think Geoff Beckett has resurfaced anywhere. Some say Megalopolis/DNA Toys teamed up with him but rumors are unfounded at best.
>>

4H does all this, except maybe shafting their employees.

And unlike Shocker Toys, 4H is still in business and has been having shit QC, shit distribution, shit customer service, trolls fans, rips off suppliers, unfilled orders, not paying off debts, and other shady business practices for a decade or so.

I almost wonder if he's actually a reverse-psychology paid shill for them; anyone with any actual criticisms of 4H products dare not post them for fear of being associated with him and his delusional ramblings. Kinda genius if so.
4H certainly isn't even close to the worst (active) company though. That dishonour goes to the unholy trinity of shitty toy companies; NECA, Super7 and McFarlane. All three have similar issues; shonky QC, don't scale with anything, shitty paint, poor engineering, overpriced for what they are and awful business practices. I'd say NECA might be the worst because McFarlane's 40K line is decent for customs fodder if you only buy figures of big guys (Marines etc) and avoid the oversized humans, and Super7's 1/18 GI Joe stuff is kinda nifty for what it is whilst NECA literally does not make anything good at all.

Are you denying that the Mythic Legion toyline wasn't full of quality control issues for almost 10 years straight, all the way into 2026 with their newest bear?
Are you denying that the Mythic Legion toyline isn't engineered like a 2002 toyline?
Are you denying that despite having 2002-era engineering that they're charging for their toys like a Japanese collectors toyline with 2x as many joints?

Because all of this got most of the Mythic Legion fanbase to actually quit the toyline. This happened, no matter how much you want to lie and cope.

And calling me an astroturfer is hilarious, because i have the most genuine opinion on /toy/, since i own more toys than most anyone here. I offer fair comparisons with a multitude of lines and hate when a company rips you off.
Someone like you though, why would anyone want to defend a company that is literally doing a disservice to their customers like 4H does?

Only people who work for the company would defend shit like this or pretend it doesn't happen. Like you.

Imagine being such a fucking loser you make this kind of claim. Especially since they make some of the best toys around and even reignited the TMNT craze. You are an incredibly dumb, bitter asshole.

Fucking LMAO. They make toys so bad they constantly get licenses pulled and then blame the license holders for being "hard to work with".

No they don't, actually. You don't seem to understand how anything works.
>>
the answer is obviously neca. they don't even make toys, they make decorations

The answer is you're a really dumb troll. NECA makes toys, you are just a psycho.
