It's weird that Sabrina from Sabrina Online hasn't had a funko pop. The comic has been going since 1996.

(Actually, the monthly comic strip stopped in 2016, now EWS only posts story-driven strips that started in 2017.)
>>
>>11888721
I guess funko pop must have a ton of obscure shit by this point but is sabrina not too obscure for funko?
>>
>>11888730

Plus, he hasn't had any plushies or action figures of the characters made, either.
>>
>>11888721
Funko never really did figures of any old anthro webcomics, why would they do them for SO? Sabrina's comic is particularly semi-infamous for its adult humor so I'm sure this is a turn-off for many potential merchandisers, we'll prpobably see something made for Freefall or Jack long before anyone dares touch SO.

God DAMN their tails are bulky and heavy, no idea how people get them to even stay upright without a stand or having the tail turned down as a brace, otherwise they're pretty neat.
>>
>>11891967
Yeeeeah it's a flaw of the design for sure
>>
>>11891967
Using the tail as a tripod or getting a third party stand to replace the dogshit one that came with her are the main options.
>>
>>11891967
That's why both the upcoming Spring Festival version of her and her new Job Upgrade version are swapping over to a softgoods tail. In the meantime, you can just turn the tail down to act as a tripod.
Tail aside, what are your thoughts on her?
>>
>>11892200
>new Job Upgrade version
Oh lord there's ANOTHER one coming? I just ordered Margaret and Spring Liya. I think they're worth it if you want furry figs, I don't know enough about modern action figures to judge but they're pretty well built. I see people on youtube say the candyland versions yellow shirt paint will rub off on the body if you keep moving it around so be wary of that.

>Oh lord there's ANOTHER one coming?
Yes - we actually knew about the job upgrade version of her long before they announced they were turning the Spring Festival Liya artwork into an actual figure. Tonya (the cat) and Daisy (the humanoid cow) are also getting job upgrade versions, and we're getting another new character (Doreen, a humanoid dragon). I believe you already know about Margaret the mouse; this image was from when she was first announced (hence why her hair color is different from the final release).
>>
>>11892353
I found out about these figures (Mainly the original Liya and Tonia) like a year or two ago and like many things, bookmarked and forgot completely about them until recently so I haven't really kept track of all this. Good to know though, I'll have to grab that Ninja Tonia at some point too.

>>11892416
You may have already missed your window for Tonia - she went up for preorder at the same time as Margaret Mouse. I know for sure that she's sold out on HLJ and isn't on AmiAmi, so if you're interested in her, you're going to have to look around and grab her sooner rather than later - unless you're willing to pay the Scalper Tax when she finally releases in March.
>>
>>11892422
Thanks for the heads up. I found an Aussie company that has that in stock at a reasonable price so just pre-ordered it from them, it's where I got the Candyland Liya from and pre-ordered Margaret and Spring Liya from too. The original Tonia and Liya were sold out so had to go through Aliexpress for those and they worked out alright, boggles the mind why people are immediately trying to sell them for $300 on ebay and Amazon

Spring Liya is fully cast-off - her bra and her panties can both be removed, since you don't traditionally wear undergarments with a cheongsam. There's a 99% chance she'll have Barbie Doll anatomy under there, though, so don't get your hopes up too much.

Fiddler Crabs aside, crabs in general tend to fight with each other a lot. Which means they rip each other's arms off a lot. Which means it's not uncommon to find crabs with smaller, asymmetrical claws because they're in the process of regenerating ones they lost.

The pieces are so large and chunky I'm pretty sure I could fix him. Might even be able to just replace the part, the wrist joint pops apart at the seam.

Got my fish ladies (well, more like Nereids) today; I suppose they can go here, since they're not human. Specifically, they're SoTa's "Sea Mist Spirit and Mafina - Limited Edition Clear Version", and they're a two-pack; there's a normal retail version of them available made with solid plastic as well, but I liked how this version looked more like they were made of water. These are "not-quite" model kits - they don't require any paint or cutting anything from sprues (other than their hands), but come in pieces in a bunch of little baggies and need to be assembled (they're all simple balljoints, so you're just sticking the head on the upper torso, the upper torso to the lower torso, the lower torso to the legs, and then the fins, so not much work involved). They also each come with a nice little water-shaped stand to attach them to, though they can stand freely without it (thanks to their tails acting as a tripod)
>>

>>11899944
A close-up of the normal Sea Mist Spirit. As mentioned above, both figures use basic balljoints for their heads, torsos, arms and legs, plus their knees and elbows are articulated, so they have an okayish range of movement - normally. Also, they lack any sort of wrist or ankle movement (though they come with two sets of hands apiece, one set of basic open-palmed and one set of gripping for holding their spears). The helmet/visor is glued on, but she does have a pair of eyes and painted facial marks under there identical to Mafina's - most likely because she's mostly an identical copy of the latter with a different hairpiece and lacking the extra fin things.
Sadly, my Sea Mist Spirit came with a snapped torso joint and a cracked left hip that I didn't notice until I tried to attach her leg; I ended up having to glue both back on, and while it seems to have worked, I won't be messing around and posing her from now on. It's a shame - I actually liked her simpler design more than Mafina's more ornate and regal one, but it is what it is. I've bought SoTa stuff before in the past, and while they're all relatively simple, I've never had one break on me - my lovely snake/dragon/kirin things sit on my desk where I fiddle with them all the time, and they've never had an issue. I suspect the problem is the fact that these two are cast in clear plastic - I suspect the Normal Color version is probably a bit sturdier than these ones thanks to using different plastic.

Mafina. She's basically identical to the generic Sea Mist Spirit, but has a more ornate headpiece (which doesn't cover her face). It has two jointed "lobes" with hoops on them that hang off of her "hair" that you thread her arms through, and a fancier spear; otherwise she's 100% the same. Fortunately, Mafina was in much better shape than the Sea Mist Spirit - all of her joints were intact, and just to make sure they stayed that way, I warmed her up with a hairdryer and applied some Vaseline to her joints before attaching them. I'm still concerned about accidentally breaking her, but not to the same degree.

Packed in with them was this piece of paper with their bios printed on both sides. Here's Sea Mist Spirit's:
>The spirit of the sea fog is a fairy that occurs naturally when substances and creatures living at the bottom of the sea, the soul that connects to the sea, the heart that loves the sea, and the strong memory of the sea combine. Although there are differences in body shape due to the memories of their souls, they all end up looking similar. Possessing a personality influenced by their original memories and soul, they drift through the sea, live among fish, and then vanish without a trace. Their nature is closer to the sea itself than actual creatures, allowing them to communicate with most aquatic life, but only if the other party is receptive.

Mafina's bio, on the back side:
>Unlike most Sea Mist Spirits, this fairy is characterized by her elaborately decorated crown and large fins. These souls, each possessing strong emotions, are united, giving them greater willpower and magical abilities than other fairies. Although she doesn't retain her original memories, her demeanor and mannerisms somehow evoke those of the upper class. On the other hand, she also possesses a childlike cheerfulness. A certain encounter sparks a strong longing for existence in the outside world...

5k says they're going to ask Axy for a replacement but it could take 1-3 months.

If they just replace the part that's fine, but if they replace the whole figure that's gonna be pretty baller because I think with the right tools I could probably repair this. Then I'd have two.

If nothing else, I could give him a hook for a hand.

>We got another goat before we got even one proper red fox, AGAIN.
I think the goat is cute, especially with the blue eyes and smaller face. Still, I would kill for a Fox - especially if they make a model version of the artist's OC, pic related. Considering we're getting her other OC, Luoran, it's not totally out of the question...
