Nice pic

I saw a battle figure Gardevoir added as an entry on the wiki, is there a pic of the pose out there? Since recent battle figures like Gallade, Armarouge, Ceruledge got made as both selects and battle features I'm guessing select Gardevoir is also around the corner.

August's checklist update. The only new stuff that came out last month was a new wave of 2" singles. Distribution continues to be unbelievable bad :(

>>11891339
Listings for a 4.5" Gardevoir, the Machoke/Spoink/Pachirisu wave, and a future wave with 3" Alolan Raichu were found in the Gamestop system for release this Fall if those dates are correct

I import whole cases from Plaza Japan but there might be other sites to get them as well. I usually try to sell the extras online i don't want which evens out and basically gets my money back and then some.

Theres 24 in a box; usually 12 different Pokemon or characters in a set and then most pokemon have one or 2 extras in the box.

>>11894420
these anons are insane lol
Blokees Pokemon are just fine. They look great and are relatively easy to assemble. I've seen a few where the joints or other pieces don't stay together very well but nothing on the scale of the sp//dr I got that does not stay together at all, and falls apart if you look at it wrong. It probably just depends on the character and how many pieces there are.
>>
>>11894221
I've been wanting a regular version of the Delibird but it keep getting pushed to the back by newer 3" figures each update.
>>
>>11894926
I think the checklist guy just pushes it back and places others before it once they have concrete listings. Delibird in reg paint is probably just an assumption that it will come eventually just like the Greavard did after the glossy one.
>>

thank you for clarifying that they're toys
>>
>>11895244
Even Select, which is supposed to be Jazwares' "premium" Pokémon line, is absolute garbage. I wouldn't even give Scizor or Incineroar to a kid, it's so fragile.
>>
Bandai Namco has a shit ton of exclusive Pokemon merch that can't be bought anywhere but through their crane games. Has anyone found a workaround their geoblock for their namco online crane app and website and a way to get a Japanese number? These crane game exclusives, Pokemon or not, are a pain in the ass to buy since the markup is crazy. Like 500% crazy

ebay, pkmncollectors, or maybe just go to Japan because it's nice there
>>

>>
>>11895832
Maybe try Yahoo Japan Auctions or Mandarake to see if people are selling their prizes.
>>
>>11895548
If fragility is an issue, why do you call model kits like Blokees "toys?" They're not sturdy enough to be playable.
>>
>>11895996
Clarify if you ever actually touched a Pokemon Blokees or are only talking from either your ass or your own experience with the -actual- model kit blokees such as Marvel?
Because picrel is not how Pokemon does things.

Scalpers have pics of Golurk already. I hope this has shoulder ball joints or it's going to end up as yet another useless toy in the shelf that people use as a figma accessory
>>
>>11896187
Scalpers? This has been released in my country for a couple months now. I saw it also went in stock for Americans at Gamestops already too.

There are no shoulder ball joints. People have already reviewed it and the articulations are barely there. The pose it has in the box is only what it can do and the elbows apparently dont move much either.
>>

Not sure if I'm too late but if I find one in stock somewhere, does anyone recommend the Jazwares Select Rayquaza?

One part of me thinks it's cool since I've always liked him but the other part of me feels as though he isn't a figure that I really need to have and that I'd be better off in waiting until Blokees takes a crack at him or some of my other favorite mons.

I like that the tail is not segmented that shit never does any good except making the sculpt look awful
>>
>>11897808
Couldn't disagree more. Charizard looks and functions spectacularly with a segmented tail and d-arts Mewtwo looked great. It's okay for toys to look like toys instead of being as close to their fictional counterparts as possible and the lack of segments may look "smoother" but also give it less posing options as well as making it look cheaper.
>>
>>11897625
This is looking like it won't stand on it's own very well like the Greninja. Using a stand isn't the worst but the one they give is also like a diorama piece. The tail is done in a way where you can't really use it to support standing and also makes it back heavy.

Not bad, but the feet being a single piece and requiring props is not perfect. The Pokken VAH did it a bit better. Still, a fairly affordable and accessory-rich release.

13.8cm without the base.
>>
>>11897595
>Never wait for something better
I think I'll take my chances. Aside from Blokees feeling so much more high-quality, the fact that Rayquaza's curved segments are stuck that way instead of having ball joints makes it look like it has the illusion of dynamic articulation rather than actually having it.

Basically the same size that the SHF. It's going to scale like this
>>
>>11897816
Update: I didn't realize that you can still get a lot of poses as although the tail seems less segmented than D-arts, it seems as though there's still more articulation than Jazwares so that's cool.

>>
>>11899496
You'd think this would be the year to do it with it being the 30th. Their attempt at Digimon again seems to have failed so maybe they don't want to give Pokemon another go at the moment.

>>
>>11900260
>>11900268
If you have the means to do so, I don't know how you wouldn't go for Blokees over Jazwares as the former is both higher-quality AND affordable.

I know there's a guy in these threads always shitting on Jazwares and it makes people feel like he comes across as just another schizo but the line does have serious qc issues (lousy paint jobs, fragile joints, warped pieces, etc.) that people report over Reddit and YouTube as well.

Sadly, it seems like Jazwares has a monopoly on Pokémon figures in the west so it's an uphill battle for Blokees in addition to all the China shit they're dealing with but I'll hold out in the hopes that they drop an earth-shattering bombshell in announcing a shitload of new mons in the event they get permission to sell beyond their borders.
>>
>>11900342
>it seems like Jazwares has a monopoly on Pokémon figures in the west
Well yes. Thats what paying millions of dollars for the master toy license gives you. Better positioning in those regions and limited competition in the same categories you're making products in

Essentially, that they have to get the permission of the license holder (e.g. presumably Nintendo, Game Freak and/or the 'Pokemon Company') for the territory outside China and SE Asia. Plus, whomever does have the rights to make toys and has world-wide, probably raises 'concerns.'
Just as their are some businesses willing to re-sell the non-licensed stock in North America (BBTS as one example), there should be something in the EU.
And if there isn't, it's because your countries are OLD and lame Boomer minded establishments.

September's checklist update.

New stuff found this past month:
-Some of 3" Iridescent Shine W3 (Eevee, Galarian Ponyta) in stock in some Australian etailers
-2" Select Case W10 in stock on some European Smyths sites and in store. Nothing exciting - Pikachu, Char, Bulba, Squirtle, Mew, Snom
-12" Epic Golurk, Basic Holiday Calendar and the Pancham/Growlithe Hot Springs Environment set in stock online and in store at US Gamestops
-8" Deluxe Vinyl W5 (Flareon, Jolteon) in stock at some UK etailers

-US Targets should have Incineroar and Mega Lucario in stock this Sunday.
Not much else going on in the US but hopefully some things from the Gamestop system do show up in stores/online in Oct or Nov. Those were Golett, Ponyta, Machoke, Midnight Lycanroc, Armarouge and maybe a few others.
>>
>>11911852
-Clip n Go W23 (Swablu, Buizel, Minccino, Tandemaus) is also showing up at US Walgreens too if you missed it from Macy's earlier in the year
>>
Mega lucario and Incineroar are released today! I like Lucario but the arms are a lil restricted and the size of it is too big for the other figures.

Incineroar is ok too but there are a lot of ways it could be better. One of the hands is already splitting at the joint so I don't want to pose it any more and the tail can't bend like it should. The balancing is also too hard to do and he needs to be attached on the base to stay upright which is not good if you didnt want to use it. His feet make it hard to pose without the base since they cant sit steady on any surface. I like him I think but I'm afraid to move him any more which shouldn't need to be the way it is.

Thinking about getting Incineroar. Is he able to give the middle finger?

Any idea what might be coming next now that the Selects we know about are out?

Whats the best place to actually get this?
>>
>>11914419
Gundamit, AliExpress, etc.

>>11914418
Already have his Tomy, but might grab the select once he shows up here because of the finger articulation.
Blastoise only recently showed up here and that was only through Amazon Returns.

the hands are one of the worst part. the plastic is soooo soft and gummy that it is tearing at the wrist part very easily when you are gently posing them. The fingers are fine but cant go into a tight fist but he can do a middle finger

I really dont like that he needs the stand since it will take up so much room on the shelf next to the others. It can only stand if you rotate the tail down and lean the figure back on the tail. The ankles dont have good articulations and dont help it.

Being able to plug a few stands into one of the new bases does a help a bit with space. I've seen someone with Ceruledge and Armarouge sharing a base and it's pretty nice you can do that now.

mega starmie!!!
>>
>>11914590
yes that is a good thing but most other figures dont need a base to stand so it just gets in the way and is annoying that he can't stand up since they made the feet weird. They are curved on the soles of the feet and the ankle joints are not good. That's the only reason it doesn't stand.
>>
>>11914604
yea that's not good design. When there's always a stand included one of the downsides is they can over rely on it.
>>
>>11914614
WIth their tiny feet and large bodies, that's just a problem GameFreak doesnt consider when it does get toys. I also dont even use the base when the post itself acts as a 3rd leg
>>
>>11914674
its not tiny feet. its that jazzwares made the bottom of the feet curved. They are not flat as weird as that is. Then the ankle joints don't work. So you have feet that are not allowing it so stand flat plus no good ankle joints to adjust the figure. Its a jazzwares problem and not a problem with the design of the pokemon for this specific figure

Looked at a review vid.
You say they're slightly curved inwards?
>>
>>11914801
NTA but I also have the fig and the feet are definitely not flat. They don't really look like it, but they definitely wobbly and don't sit perfectly flat or give the figure good stability. This isn't a terrible figure but it's def in the bottom 25% I'd say. Its a struggle to get Incineroar to stand on its own. It really does need a base or tail support to stand which didn't have to be the case. There's many other joints that also don't work. The torso joint only bends forward, not back at all. The fingers can't bend fully into a fist. The top of the knees are stuck and I can't get them moving. The isn't bendable like it says it is. The wrists are sooo flimsy feeling too. I'm afraid to rotate them because I can see why so many people's wrists are breaking there.

any new jazjaz 2" figis?
>>
Wow this general is the slowest shit I've ever seen for the #1 media franchise of all time.
>>
>>11910245
Actually now that you mention it, there's a criminally low amount of SHF or similar brand figs for Pokémon.
>>
>>11920196
Pokemon toys have always been low tier compared to cards, plushies and videogames
>>
>>11920196
not many poketoy happenings I guess, page 9 also

Hard for me to tell which company was most fruitful. When Tomy USA, they had annual catalogs promising by the end of the year, but it was kind of limited. Jazwares doesnt catalog, and it's mostly through insiders/wiki for announcements
>>
>>11920196
It's a slow dripfeed when TPC cares more about paper than plastic.
>>
OK so I just browsed around the wiki and apparently there's a Select Nidoking and Lugia for W13 Selects? And rerelease of Suicune. Lugia would be the first double up when it comes to the epic sized figures.
>>
>>11920323
That was close, I almost bought the Blokees. Eh ill buy it anyway because Nidoking is awesome
>>
They should've made a Ho-Oh before a second Lugia.

We talked about it in the discord today. Some people hated Lugia since it's so small but I don't care I just want more legendary Pokemon to get articulated figures even if they don't size well with other things.

Maybe /pg/ can help
I'm on the hunt for the old 90s/2000s era TOMY Dragonite. The only issue is, most of the listings I've seen seem fake. Not sure if they are.

Pic related: the CHINA logo is raised instead of depressed like it should be on every single "official" listing and database of the Dragonite that I've seen so far. But the coloration and the moulding seems to be right. Any experts in here? I'm relatively new to this.

I love them both. No more Blokees
>>
>>11920507
And here's what a 100% documented legit one is supposed to look like
>>
>>11920508
I can't even find Pokemon blokees ANYWHERE how do you fuckers keep getting them?
>>
>>11920517
online
>>
>>11920517
Ali and Gundamit. Latter now only has Mewtwo left though.

>>11920477
>>11920478
Blokees still looks better, but ig select will be bigger. Only Nidorino I have is the big hasbro one so that'd probably fit then lol.
Battle Feature Nidorino when.

>>11920323
Wish they reissued the other beasts and birds before fucking Suicune again.
>>
>>11920474
Jaz doesnt give a single shit about product scale, you just have a vocal minority of copers in total denial about it
>>
>>11920507
>>11920510
I wouldn't call myself an expert but I'm gona say the first is fake. Something to look for is how deep the printing of the logo is. Due to the reproduction process the words won't be as deep and clean as the original like in the second image. It's something you can tell fairly easily when you can compare the real with thr fake.
>>
>>11920656
they don't give a shit about much of anything. Not scale, QC, if articulation even works, if you can even find items in stores or if products even show up in various parts of the world.

but we know they don't care of scale since this select line is separate from the other barely scaled lines they do.
>>
>>11920651
The entire Blokees section on the website is empty. I keep seeing links with pictures for their Mewtwo page but it just doesn't exist for me.
>>
>>11920762
Nobody orders direct. Order from aliexpress or wait many months later and order from companies that import them like BBTS or nerdzoic
